The Indonesian Journal of Primary Education is a scientific periodical published twice a year (June-December) that publishes the results of original research on primary education and primary school teacher education. This journal aims to develop concepts, theories, perspectives, paradigms, and methodologies within the scope of basic education and primary school teacher education including curriculum, teaching materials, media, methods, and evaluation of primary school learning. Since 2017, this journal has been published by the UPI PGSD Study Program, Tasikmalaya Campus with Himpunan Dosen PGSD Indonesia (the Indonesian PGSD Lecturer Association). Abstract

Penggunaan TIK sebagai sumber dan media pembelajaran dapat melalui pemanfaatan perangkat komputer sebagai sumber dan media pembelajaran yang inovatif. Diharapkan dengan penggunaan sumber dan media ini dapat merangsang pikiran, perasaan, minat serta perhatian peserta didik sedemikian rupa sehingga proses pembelajaran dapat berjalajan dengan baik. Selain itu, proses pembelajaran akan lebih efektif karena penggunaan TIK sebagai sumber dan media pembelajaran memungkinkan teratasinya hambatan dalam proses komunikasi guru dengan peserta didik. Penggunaan TIK sebagai media pembelajaran dapat melalui pemanfaatan perangkat komputer sebagai media pembelajaran yang inovatif. Diharapkan dengan penggunaan media ini dapat merangsang pikiran, perasaan, minat serta perhatian peserta didik sedemikian rupa sehingga proses pembelajaran dapat berjalajan dengan baik. Selain itu, proses pembelajaran akan lebih efektif karena penggunaan TIK sebagai media pembelajaran memungkinkan teratasinya hambatan dalam proses komunikasi guru dengan peserta didik seperti hambatan fisiologis, psikologis, kultural, dan lingkungan. Jenis-jenis sumber dan media pembelajaran berbasis TIK lainnya yang dapat dimanfaatkan oleh guru sekolah dasar dalam proses pembelajaran anatara lain yaitu (1) Komputer, (2) LCD Projector, (3) Internet, (4) CD Pembelajaran, (5) E-mail, dan (6) Persentasi Power Point. Dalam hal meningkatkan kemampuan penguasaan TIK bagi guru dapat dilakukan beberapa diantaranya dengan mengikuti kegiatan pelatihan atau seminar mengenai TIK, melengkapi sarana dan parasarana berbasis TIK guna menunjang pembelajaran selain itu dengan mengadakan studi banding ke sekolah yang dipandang lebih maju dalam bidang TIKnya.

Abstract

Implementasi media pembelajaran inovatif POPANKA (Power Point, Papan Kata dan Kartu Gambar) pada pembelajaran bahasa Inggris di kelas IV SDIT Cahaya Permata. Dalam hal ini, dilatar belakangi oleh adanya permasalahan pada kegiatan pembelajaran bahasa Inggris, khususnya terhadap media pembelajaran yang kurang diperhatikan untuk mendukung pemahaman konsep materi bahasa Inggris. Pada proses pembelajaran peneliti mengintegrasikan tiga media tersebut dengan permainan “Marina Menari” yang menjadikan kegiatan pembelajaran lebih menyenangkan dan dapat bermakna bagi peserta didik. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif studi pustaka dan studi lapangan. Sedangkan, pengumpulan data melalui beberapa tahap meliputi, wawancara, studi pustaka dan pengutipan referensi yang diperoleh melalui Google Scholar. Dengan teknis analisis data kualitatif berdasarkan hasil wawancara, pengamatan dan studi lapangan kepada responden yang berjumlah 28 dari 31 peserta didik yang hadir di kelas IV Cahaya Permata. Berdasarkan hasil analisis yang telah dilakukan dapat disimpulkan bahwa, pengimplementasian media pembelajaran yang inovatif dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar peserta didik pada pembelajaran bahasa Inggris.

Abstract

Mengenalkan kearifan lokal daerah kepada peserta didik perlu untuk dilakukan. Pengenalan kearifan lokal dapat didukung dengan adanya sumber belajar berupa bahan ajar. Informasi dapat diperoleh oleh peserta didik secara mandiri, salah satunya melalai modul pendamping. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian dan pengembangan dengan menggunakan jenis pendekatan ADDIE yaitu analisis, perancangan, pengembangan, penerapan, evaluasi. Tujuan pengembangan ini adalah untuk menghasilkan produk modul pendamping tematik yaitu Modul Tematik Tema Daerah Tempat Tinggalku Berbasis Kearifan Lokal Blitar. Hasil validasi ahli bahan ajar modul pendamping yang dikembangkan yaitu dengan tingkat kevalidan 96,66% dari aspek materi, 90% dalam aspek bahan ajar, dan 90% dalam aspek pembelajaran. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, pengembangan ini menghasilkan produk berupa bahan ajar modul pendamping pembelajaran tematik berbasis kearifan lokal Blitar yang menonjolkan kondisi wilayah, sejarah, kesenian, kegiatan ekonomi, dan tempat wisata yang dilengkapi dengan cerita rakyat dari Blitar, latihan soal, tes mandiri serta soal evaluasi dengan kriteria sangat valid, sangat baik, sangat menarik dan sangat bermanfaat sehingga dapat meningkatkan motivasi dan membantu pembelajaran di kelas IV SD.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the profile of the availability of learning media that supports improving numeracy skills in elementary and junior high schools in Tasikmalaya Regency and City and their use, using a qualitative approach, while the methods used are interviews and commentary studies. The research findings obtained are that several elementary schools and junior high schools in Tasikmalaya Regency and City have learning media that supports improving students' numeracy skills, the source comes from grants, schools rarely budget for purchasing media, and rarely even make their own media. However, unfortunately the existing media does not work optimally, because teachers are reluctant to use media and focus only on textbooks, even though all the sources interviewed said that the use of media in learning, especially in learning Mathematics, is very important.

Abstract

Perkembangan zaman yang semakin maju membuat salah satunya yaitu media berkembang pesat. Banyak kemudahan-kemudahan yang dapat diperoleh yaitu memperoleh informasi dari belahan dunia dengan cepat. Salah satunya adalah televisi yang berkembang pesat dan banyak inovasi yang telah ditemukan. Dalam stasiun televisi yang ditayangkan banyak program-program yang telah di jalankan. Begitu banyak pengaruh yang menjadi dampak dalam dunia pertelevisian. Dampak positif dan dampak negatif dapat ditemukan dalam tayangan program-program televisi. Hal yang menarik untuk dibahas adalah banyaknya program sinetron yang merajai tayangan jam-jam yang ada. Dan begitu banyak dampak yang akan dirasakan bukan hanya positifnya saja tetapi juga hal yang negatif yang akan dirasakan jika tidak ada tindak lanjut atau perubahan yang dilakukan. Terlebih lagi adalah anak. Anak sangat rentan dengan pengaruh dengan apa yang dilihat, didengar dan diajarkan lewat lingkungan di mana lingkungannya berada. Pengaruh dari sinetron tersebut dapat mempengaruhi cara anak dalam berkomunikasi dan cara berpakaian yang diikuti oleh acara sinetron yang ditontonnya. Maka dari itu peran orang tua sangat penting dan sangat berpengaruh terhadap perilaku siswa untuk menjaga dan mengawasi anak supaya anak dapat berperilaku yang santun dan tidak terpengaruh oleh sinetron yang kurang mendidik untuk ditonton. Karena anak belum dapat memutuskan hal yang baik atau buruk untuk dirinya.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the use of PhET Interactive Simulation media in helping students facilitate understanding of the concept of electrical circuit material for elementary school students, through a qualitative approach based on Systematic Literature Review (SLR). The method used is a literature review by sharing and disseminating various scientific articles, books and relevant reference sources, various research related to certain topics in a structured manner. The results of the analysis show that from 13 articles that explain electrical circuit material at elementary school level, it can be seen that the use of Physics Education Technology (PhET) Simulation media has proven to be effective in helping construct conceptual understanding for elementary school students, especially in electrical circuit material because PhET Simulation has advantages such as tools. Virtual learning is economical, easy to access and interactive so that it makes them more interested and active in learning and can overcome time constraints, overcome limited resources thereby increasing effectiveness in the practical learning process. PhET Simulation Media can support students in understanding concepts better through interactive and interesting simulations, while providing opportunities for them to build knowledge independently through easy-to-access virtual laboratories. Thus, the use of PhET Simulation media has a significant positive impact on the development of students' cognitive understanding in the learning process.

Abstract

Abstract Curriculum 2013 implements authentic assessment and requires students to have 21st century skills. STEM learning supports the 2013 curriculum. Authentic assessment can be used with performance assessments using rubrics. This reseacrh aims to develop 4C-based performance assessment rubric on STEM learning in primary schools that is valid and practical as an assessment tool. In general, this research is development of performance rubric. Qualitative research based on focus group discussions (FGD) consists of seven stages: 1) identifying the objectives of the research object; 2) identify the question/ problem of the research object; 3) identify participants; 4) choose the time, location FGD process; 5) conducting FGD; 6) evaluating data; and 7) reporting data. The participants are samples that have the same interest in the topic/object of research. Rubric is a performance tool using certain criteria in assessing learning activities. The results of the study are, 1) an assessment instrument in the form of a learning performance rubric based on STEM 4C; 2) STEM learning performance assessment rubric consists of individual and group performance evaluation rubric; 3) performance rubric based on expert validation is declared as suitable as an assessment tool; 4) based on FGD it produces a valid and reliable product performance evaluation rubric. The results is the performance rubric instrument in the form of rubric is said to be valid and reliable as a form of assessment tools. Rubric 4C skills on STEM-based learning developed by researchers can be used by teachers in conducting an objective assessment based on criteria and indicators. In addition, students will have a reference about what is expected by the teacher based on the assessment rubric. Thus students can show their best performance. AbstrakKurikulum 2013 menerapkan penilaian autentik dan menuntut peserta didik memiliki keterampilan abad 21. Pembelajaran yang mendukung kurikulum 2013 yaitu pembelajaran STEM. Penilaian autentik dapat digunakan dengan penilaian kinerja menggunakan rubrik. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan rubrik penilaian kinerja berbasis 4C pada pembelajaran STEM di sekolah dasar yang valid dan praktis sebagai alat penilaian. Secara umum penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan rubrik penilaian kinerja. Penelitian kualitatif berbasis focus group discussion (FGD) terdiri dari tujuh tahap: 1) mengidentifikasi tujuan objek penelitian; 2) mengidentifikasi pertanyaan/permasalahan objek penelitian; 3) mengidentifikasi partisipan; 4) memilih waktu, tempat proses FGD; 5) melakukan kegiatan FGD; 6) melakukan evaluasi data; dan 7) melaporkan data proses FGD. Partisipan penelitian ini yaitu sampel yang memiliki ketertarikan sama terhadap topik/objek penelitian. Rubrik merupakan alat penilaian kinerja menggunakan kriteria tertentu dalam menilai aktivitas pembelajaran. Hasil penelitian berupa, 1) instrumen penilaian berupa rubrik penilaian kinerja pembelajaran berbasis STEM 4C; 2) rubrik penilaian kinerja pembelajaran STEM terdiri dari rubrik penilaian kinerja individu dan rubrik penilaian kinerja kelompok; 3) rubrik penilaian kinerja berdasarkan validasi para ahli dinyatakan layak digunakan sebagai alat penilaian; 4) berdasarkan FGD menghasilkan produk rubrik penilaian kinerja yang valid dan reliabel. Hasil dari penelitian ini bahwa instrumen penilaian kinerja berupa rubrik dikatakan valid dan reliabel sebagai alat bentuk penilaian. Rubrik keterampilan 4C pada pembelajaran berbasis STEM dikembangkan peneliti dapat digunakan guru dalam melakukan penilaian secara objektif berdasarkan kriteria dan indikator. Selain itu, siswa akan memiliki acuan tentang hal-hal yang diharapkan oleh guru berdasarkan rubrik penilaian. Dengan demikian peserta didik dapat menunjukkan kinerja terbaiknya.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has had a shocking effect in the education sector. Online-based learning is a solution during a pandemic. In a COVID-19 pandemic situation character education should not be ignored, especially at the elementary school level. It is because character education is an integral part of education, especially basic education. Elementary school students really need character education for their development needs. Preparing a good generation is the same as instilling prosperity for the future. This study aims to identify the implementation of character education in elementary schools in terms of learning tools; teaching and learning activities; teaching methods; and evaluation. The research method used was descriptive exploratory research. Data was obtained from a survey of elementary school teachers through open and closed questionnaires. The results showed that: the learning tools were designed by adjusting the simplified basic competencies without leaving the Core Competencies (KI) 1 and 2. Learning methods carried out were online, offline, and blended with attention to affective aspects. Learning is designed to instill the values of learning discipline, responsibility in completing tasks, instilling healthy life patterns, honesty, and religious attitudes. Evaluation was done through questionnaires and communication with parents, questionnaires, and rewards. Teachers need to creatively design learning while still considering the character education during the Covid-19 pandemic. Character education during a pandemic will provide a character-based life pattern from an early age anywhere and under any conditions.

Abstract

Movement / physical activity is a very important matter for a child's life to support the performance of the movement itself, from the child as a student or the child becomes an athlete, when the child becomes an athlete, movements that already exist or have been studied must be monitored for stability and maximum of a movement that leads to skill. The purpose of the research is to describe and examine the movement activities of elementary school-level athletes throughout Surabaya during the COVID-19 pandemic. This type of quantitative descriptive research because in this study more emphasis on calculations of the data obtained through the google form. Discussions that occur in elementary schools in Surabaya are mostly non-athletes, there are about 87.2% who are students or ordinary students, and for athletes 12. 8% of the number of schools based on the division area between West, East, Central Surabaya. , north and south. This shows that it is quite good for the activities of the child who has this level of growth, amounting to 58.1%, this shows that these elementary school children are indeed good activities, above 50%. With this existence, it is very much supported by various factors, including being supported by schools, teachers, parents, and open land in the area where they live so that the elementary students for movement or sports activities are well fulfilled. north and south. Abstract

Pembelajran IPS di sekolah dasar mencakup konsep-konsep yang abstrak seperti waktu, perubahan, kesinambungan, ritual, arah mata angin, akulturasi, kekuasaan, demokras dan niai-nilai. Media merupakan salah satu solusi untuk mengkonkritkan materi dan konsep yang abstrak dalam pembelajaran. Namun faktanya darihasil studi pendahuan ke tiga sekolah dasar di Kota Tasikmalaya yaitu SDN 1 Urug, SDN Mugarsari dan SDN Citapen diperoleh informasi terkait penggunaan media yang hanya sebatas pada media praktis. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, peneliti bermaksud melakukan penelitian pengembangan yang pada akhirnya dihasilkan produk berupa media pembelajaran puzzle berbasis tangram dalam pembelajaran IPS tentang mengenal tokoh proklamasi dengan menggunakan metode penelitian design based research model reeves. Subjek penelitian ini adalah guru dan peserta didik kelas V yang berjumlah 17 orang di SDN 1 Urug dan 19 orang di SDN Mugarsari. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik wawancara,observasi dan kuesioner. Rancangan produk dinyatakan layak diuji coba berdasarkan hasil validasi ahli.Kegiatan uji coba dilakukan sebanyak dua kali di sekolah yang berbeda. Uji coba yang pertama dilakukan di SDN 1 Urug dan uji coba dua di SDN Mugarsari. Hasil uji coba menunjukan bahwa media yang dikembangkan telah baik dan dapat menjadi solusi bagi guru dalam menyampaikan materi pembelajaran. Produk akhir berupa media pembelajaran puzzle  puzzle berbasis tangram dalam pembelajaran IPS tentang mengenal tokoh proklamasi untuk kelas IV Sekolah Dasar yang dilengkapi dengan buku panduan penggunaan.
