The Indonesian Journal of Primary Education is a scientific periodical published twice a year (June-December) that publishes the results of original research on primary education and primary school teacher education. This journal aims to develop concepts, theories, perspectives, paradigms, and methodologies within the scope of basic education and primary school teacher education including curriculum, teaching materials, media, methods, and evaluation of primary school learning. Since 2017, this journal has been published by the UPI PGSD Study Program, Tasikmalaya Campus with Himpunan Dosen PGSD Indonesia (the Indonesian PGSD Lecturer Association). Abstract

Peserta didik merupakan salah satu unsur penting dalam proses pendidikan. Pendidik harus senantiasa mendidik sesuai keperluan peserta didik. Pendidikan negara-negara maju di dunia seperti Amerika sudah mengembangkan pembelajaran sesuai kebutuhan masyarakat yakni pembelajaran berbasis teknologi. Pembelajaran di Indonesia pun perlu ada inovasi untuk pembelajaran saat ini agar Indonesia dapat menyesuaikan dengan keadaan zaman dan tidak tertinggal. Pembelajaran di sekolah perlu ada kaitannya dengan tekonologi yang relevan, agar pembelajaran dapat diterapkan di masyarakat. Pembelajaran di sekolah pun perlu memasukan unsur budaya supaya peserta didik memiliki jiwa nasional yang tinggi. Pengkajian tentang pembelajaran yang memadukan sains, teknologi, mesin sederhana, matematika dengan permainan trasional, penjelajahan yang dapat diterapkan di luar ruangan. Perpaduan pembelajaran STEM (Saintific, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) dengan pembelajaran Outbond berbasis permainan tradisional yang diterapkan di outdoor menjadi suatu solusi untuk mengembangkan pembelajaran efektif. Pembelajaran STEM berbasis outbound permainan tradisional yang diimplementasikan di luar ruangan selaras dengan perkembangan zaman yang sudah berbasis teknologi dan global. Pembelajaran ini dapat berkembang dengan pesat apabila diimplementasikan di sekolah terutama di Sekolah Dasar. Dengan demikian Pembelajaran STEM berbasis Outbound Permainan Tradisional yang diterapkan di outdoor tepat digunakan di Sekolah Dasar. Karena di pembelajaran ini di setiap pertemuan belajar, mengajar akan menghasilkan produk atau karya dari peserta didik. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran ini menggabungkan STEM, outbond, dan permainan tradisional.

Abstract

The use of artificial intelligence (AI) in education has become a topic of increasing interest in recent decades. AI has experienced rapid development and has been implemented in various aspects of education, such as adaptive learning, school administration, and increasing educational accessibility. While the potential benefits offered by AI are very promising, their implementation also faces challenges that need to be overcome. This research aims to investigate the development and use of AI in education, as well as the challenges faced in adopting and implementing it. Through a comprehensive literature review, this study evaluates the positive impact of AI in increasing learning effectiveness, providing learning experiences tailored to individual needs, and speeding up the educational administration process. However, challenges were also identified in the application of AI in education. These challenges include student data privacy issues, loss of human interaction, and the changing role of teachers in the AI era. In addition, there are also financial and infrastructural constraints that can hinder the adoption of AI in public schools. The articles cited in this research discuss various solutions that can be implemented to overcome this challenge. The conclusions in this study highlight the importance of supporting the implementation of AI in education by ensuring supportive policies, adequate preparation, and a better understanding of the use of AI by educators. In addition, it is also necessary to develop a curriculum that is adaptive and in accordance with industrial developments. By addressing these challenges, the application of AI in education has the potential to change the way we learn and teach, creating a more inclusive, efficient and quality education

Abstract

Kemampuan komunikasi matematis di kelas IV SDN 3 Sumberdadi Trenggalek cukup rendah. Berdasarkan hasil wawancara, rata-rata 62% siswa kelas IV SDN 3 Sumberdadi Trenggalek belum memiliki kemampuan komunikasi matematis. Dari permasalahan tersebut dibutuhkan pembelajaran yang mengandung stimulus respon, maka dilakukanlah penelitian ini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penggunaan teori belajar Gagne dan media kartu pecahan, serta menjelaskan peningkatan peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa kelas IV SDN 3 Sumberdadi Trenggalek pada materi pecahan senilai. Penelitian tindakan kelas ini menggunakan 2 siklus. Subjek penenelitiannya siswa kelas IV yang berjumlah 20. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan berupa tes, observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi dan catatan lapangan. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu triangulasi teknik. Hasil penelitian pada siklus 1 sebanyak 40% siswa mendapatkan nilai ≥70 dengan nilai rata-rata 65,15. Pada siklus 2 sebanyak 100% siswa mendapatkan nilai ≥70 dengan nilai rata-rata 85,7. Kesimpulannya yaitu pengunaan teori belajar Gagne dan media kartu pecahan dapat meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa kelas IV SDN 3 Sumberdadi Trenggalek.

Abstract

Education in the era of Society 5.0 requires an adaptive and high-quality learning approach to tackle multidisciplinary learning challenges. This research aims to analyze and evaluate the implementation of edutainment-based thematic learning strategies in the independent curriculum at MI Walisongo Pajomblangan as an effort to address multidisciplinary learning challenges in the Society 5.0 era. The research method used was field study with a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were collected through obsevation, interviews and documentation at MI Walisongo Pajomblangan 01. The results showed that edutainment-based thematic learning in the independent curriculum at MI Walisongo Pajomblangan 01 was an effective solution for overcoming multidisciplinary learning challenges, allowing for interactive approaches, curriculum adaptation, and the development of students' social skills. Teachers utilized various edutainment strategies such as TGT, talking stick, and snowball using interactive multimedia. Through these strategies, students were facilitated to discuss and collaborate in groups to solve problems and were evaluated formatively and authentically to enhance active participation and understanding. Proactive steps were also taken by leveraging technology, teacher skill development, collaboration, and involving parents and the local community. It is hoped that the effectiveness of multidisciplinary learning continues to improve to prepare students to face global challenges.

Abstract

Kepala sekolah memiliki peran yang sangat strategis dalam mengkoordinasikan, menggerakkan, dan menyerasikan semua sumberdaya pendidikan yang tersedia pada sekolah yang menerapkan MBS. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kepemimpinan kepala sekolah terhadap penerapan manajemen berbasis sekolah pada SDI Bertingkat Oebobo 2. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif guna menggambarkan mengenai pengaruh skor variabel kepemimpinan kepala sekolah terhadap variabel penerapan MBS. Teknik dalam penelitian ini diperoleh dengan menggunakan teknik Proportional Random Sampling yaitu pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara acak proporsional. Jumlah sampe sebanyak 113 orang siswa. Instrumen penelitian berupa kuesioner sebanyak 35 angket. Instrumen kuesioner yang telah dibuat, sebelum diberikan kepada responden, maka instrumen perlu dilakukan uji coba, dengan cara mengukur tingkat validitas dan reliabilitas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh langsung kepemimpinan kepala sekolah terhadap penerapan MBS ditunjukkan oleh persamaan regresi linear X = 12,32 + 0,947. Persamaan tersebut memberikan informasi bahwa rata-rata penambahan satu skor kepemimpinan kepala sekolah akan diikuti oleh kenaikan 0,947 skor tingkat penerapan MBS. Harga koefisien korelasi (r) sebesar 0,849; sedangkan harga koefisien jalur (p) sebesar 0,538 0,05 yang berarti kepemimpinan kepala sekolah berpengaruh langsung terhadap penerapan MBS.

Abstract

The properties of light are one of the materials related to phenomena that often occur in the life of the living creatures. But in aligning the materials, learners are not shown anything tangible to clarify the material being studied. One way that can be done is to use a learning media namely Light Box 3D. This study aimed to measure the validity, practicality and effectiveness of learning media conducted on IPAS subject of light properties in class V SD Al-Islam Pengkol Jepara. Research and Development (R D) ) with ADDIE stage is the research method used in this study. The result of the media validation test showed a presentation of 92% with valid category, while the materials validation test showed a presentation 96%, which means that is very valid. The results of the media practicality test given to teachers and students showed the same average score of 96% which belongs to the category of very practical. The result of the effectiveness test performed showed a sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.0000.05, then H, is rejected and H, Is accepted. That is, there is a significant difference between the result of the pretest and posttest values performed. While the presentation of N-Gain value obtained was 76.9166% which belongs to the category of effective interpretation, thus it was conclude that the Light Box 3D Learning Media is very valid, practical and effectively to use

Abstract

Abstract Learning skill is a form of language skill that is important for students to master. To adept reading, students ought to go through a fun reading learning process. One of the way to achieve it is by using learning media that is interesting and is able to help students read easier. This research is a research and development to develop a learning media for reading skill in form of a scrapbook. The background of this research is the lack of reading skill of 2nd grade students in Public Primary School 1 Majakerta with 20 students.  The design used for this research and development was referred to 4D stages that consist of Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate. Based on result of expert validation, developed scrapbook as learning media is stated as decent to be used in learning of reading skill. After undergone through improvements, the final product has shown product appropriateness. The scrapbook learning media is declared to be suitable for use after it is produced. The result of teachers' response shows positive response to the final product as well, which means they state that the media is able to be used to help them teach learning skills to their students. Abstrak Keterampilan membaca merupakan satu bentuk keterampilan berbahasa yang penting dikuasai oleh siswa. Untuk terampil membaca, siswa harus mengalami proses belajar membaca yang menyenangkan, salah satunya adalah dengan menggunakan media berlatih membaca yang menarik dan mampu membantu siswa lebih mudah membaca. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian dan pengembangan (RnD) yang bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran keterampilan membaca berbentuk scrapbook. Pengembangan media ini rendahnya keterampilan membaca siswa kelas II di SD Negeri 1 Majakerta dengan siswa berjumlah 20 siswa.  Desain penelitian dan pengembangan yang digunakan adalah mengacu pada tahapan 4-D yaitu Define (Pendefinisian), Design (Perancangan), (Pengembangan) dan Disseminate (Penyebaran). Berdasarkan hasil validasi ahli media scrapbook yang dikembangkan dinyatakan layak untuk pembelajaran keterampilan membaca. Setelah mengalami perbaikan sampai pada produk akhir menunjukkan kelayan produk. Media pembelajaran scrapbook dinyatakan layak digunakan setelah itu dilakukan produksi. Hasil respon guru juga menunjukkan respon positif terhadap media yang dikembangkan, artinya guru menyatakan bahwa media dapat digunakan untuk membantu mengajarkan keterampilan membaca siswa.

Abstract

The Scientific Work (KTI) is entitled "SQ3R methods as a solution to better reading skills in elementary school students." One important aspect of Indonesian learning is reading, by reading it can know things that are not yet known. Observations show that students occur in class IV SDN Jakasampurna V, reading skills of low comprehension: 1) Students have difficulty locating points of thought on text, 2) Students have difficulty capturing implied meanings and letters on text, 3) Students have difficulty making a summary on the reading text, and 4) Students have difficulty explaining the text text again. One contributing factor is that teachers continue to use traditional methods or read in moderation so that the learning process is ineffective, and the teacher and student interaction is lacking. One method for improving the learning skills of reading understanding is the SQ3R method which is a strategy for actively studying the text and leads directly to the essence or content of the underlying material. The step-by-step of the SQ3R method is the introductory (surveys), the raised question (question), the reading stage (reading), the answering of the question (slight), the reviewing of the review. The expected that students are able to: 1) To determine the point of thought correctly, 2) To grasp the corresponding meaning and implied meaning found in the reading text, 3) To summarize the reading text correctly, 4) To restate the reading text in its own sentences correctly. The step-by-step of the SQ3R method is the introductory (surveys), the raised question (question), the reading stage (reading), the answering of the question (slight), the reviewing of the review. Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of using the mind mapping learning model on the cognitive learning outcomes of students in the science subject of sound material. The results of this study indicate that; (1) There is an effect of student cognitive learning outcomes between the class that is given the mind mapping learning model and the class that is given direct learning on sound science subjects, the results of the hypothesis test show that the value of t_(count = ) 3.8330 t_(table = ) 1.6786 for = 5% and dk = 46. (2) Mind mapping learning model has a high influence on students' cognitive learning outcomes on sound material, the result of calculating the effect size in this study is E_s=1.00 0.8 are high criteria. (3) There is a positive response to the mind mapping learning model, the results of the calculation of the percentage of student responses show an average of 84% in the very good category. Thus it can be concluded that the mind mapping learning model can affect students' cognitive learning outcomes and make it easier for students to understand the material.

Abstract

Konjungsi berperan penting dalam pembentukan kalimat. Setiap cerita tidak terlepas dari penggunaan konjungsi. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan bagaimana penggunaan jenis dan kuantitas penggunaan konjungsi yang terdapat dalam cerita anak. Cerita anak ini terdapat pada naskah terbaik LMCA tahun 2014. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode analisis konten dengan pemaparan deskriptif. Sumber data penelitian adalah cerita anak pada naskah terbaik LMCA tahun 2014. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan terdapat empat jenis konjungsi yang digunakan yaitu konjungsi antarkata/frase, antarklausa, antarkalimat, dan antarparagraf. Jenis konjungsi yang paling sering digunakan yaitu konjungsi antarklausa sebanyak 387 kali (60,50%) dari 639 penggunaan konjungsi, konjungsi antarkata/frase sebanyak 167 kali (26,13%), konjungsi antarkalimat sebanyak 81 kali (12,68%), dan konjungsi antarparagraf sebanyak 4 kali (0,63%). Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat dijadikan bahan ajar penggunaan konjungsi dalam pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia di SD.
