Result of trend analysis indicated that the volume and value of the export of the certified organic coffee will increase in the future, although in nominal value has fluctuations and varies, but it remained showing the positive improvement. Prospects of the coffee from Central Aceh depend on support of variables in exporting itself, such as market expansion to other countries (USA is the biggest coffee importer), the product efficiency, the suppression export costs, as well as improvement of the quality of this coffee.

The aim of this research is to find out the type of cooperation which is able to create a fair and better income distribution not only for the farmer but also for the land owner. This research used a survey method. The stratified random sampling technique was used to pick up the sample from population distributed in rice field spread out area. Five gampong (villages) were chosen from each spread out area. Meanwhile, two farmers and two land owners who do not work the land are chosen from each gampong. The result shows that the Type II Mawah System is more able to provide a bigger income proportion and create a fair and better income distribution for both the farmer and the land owner than the other two systems. It is really recommended that the farmer and the land owner choose the Type II Mawah System as the cooperation system and always base the deal on it.

Abstract

This study aims to (1) find out how Internet of Things (IoT) innovations are used in agribusiness, (2) assess how they help improve the efficiency and sustainability of the food system, and (3) identify the challenges and opportunities for using IoT in modern agribusiness development. The approach used is an integrative literature review of 40 scientific articles obtained from the Scopus and Google Scholar databases. Articles were selected based on inclusion criteria, namely, in English or Indonesian, published between 2017 and 2025, and relevant to the topic of IoT integration in agribusiness or food systems. The analysis was carried out descriptively. The results of the study show that IoT integration in the agribusiness value chain has driven significant transformation, especially in terms of real-time monitoring, process automation, and data-based decision-making. This technology contributes to the implementation of precision agriculture, resource efficiency, and increased transparency across all stages of the value chain, from production to marketing. However, its implementation still faces various obstacles such as data security issues, low technological literacy, and high investment needs. Overall, IoT has great potential to increase the competitiveness and sustainability of the agribusiness sector. Therefore, policy support, training, and cross-sector collaboration are needed to optimize the use of this technology in the future.

Abstract

Tea is a significant commodity in generating foreign exchange through exports. Indonesia has large amount of potential to enhance the quality and quantity of tea production, being one of the world's largest tea exporters. The most of tea production in North Sumatra is intended for export. However, the export volume of North Sumatra tea tends to decline annually. This study aims to analyze the influence of production, GDP, population, and the exchange rate of the US dollar on the competitiveness of North Sumatra tea exports. The method used to analyze the data is panel regression using the Fixed Effects model. The estimation results indicate that if North Sumatra tea production, the GDP of export destination countries, the population of export destination countries, and the exchange rate of the destination countries' currencies against the US dollar are held constant, the export value will decrease by -27.96364.
