Abstract

This research explores the influence of location selection strategy on the operational performance of Retail Company 'S' in Padang City, West Sumatra. This study uses a mixed-methods approach that combines quantitative and qualitative data analysis. Quantitative data was obtained from field surveys and literature analysis, while qualitative data was collected through interviews with the company. Retail Company 'S' used the Factor Ranking Method as the main tool in making location decisions. The results show that proximity to markets and suppliers is the main factor in location selection, with operational costs and public perception of the company also being important considerations. The right location selection strategy is proven to improve visibility, accessibility and customer appeal, which significantly contributes to the success of modern retail businesses in Padang City. The findings provide important insights for operations managers in designing effective and efficient location strategies to achieve optimal operational performance.

Abstract

Technological advances have created new challenges in the management of goods and services, which require special attention to management and quality control. This study evaluates the implementation of Total Quality Management (TQM) at Ayam Tokok Balenggek business with the aim of increasing customer loyalty. A qualitative approach was used in this study, through interviews, observations, and closed questionnaires, to analyze TQM implementation and identify problems using Fishbone Diagram. The results showed that TQM at Ayam Tokok Balenggek includes quality management of fresh raw materials, cleanliness of the dining area, and equipment used. However, some shortcomings were found, such as narrow and hot eating areas, lack of fan facilities, and limitations in the provision of certain chicken parts. The analysis also revealed that TQM implementation is supported by five servqual indicators, namely: Reliability, Responsiveness, Assurance, Empathy, and Physical Evidence. These findings confirm the importance of effective TQM implementation to improve service quality and customer satisfaction, which in turn can increase business competitiveness in the market.

Abstract

Product and service design is important in determining a business's sustainability and success amid increasingly fierce market competition. In the context of the café industry, unique, attractive, and effective design plays a role in meeting customer needs and desires and building strong competitiveness. This research aims to examine the role of product and service design in improving operational efficiency and customer appeal, focusing on a case study of a café. The research uses a qualitative method, where data is obtained through direct observation and interviews with the cafe manager. The results showed that well-designed product and service design can improve customer experience, strengthen loyalty, and extend the business life cycle. Innovation-oriented design and customer needs have proven effective in the face of intensifying competition. In addition, the study also highlights the importance of technology integration in café design to improve operational efficiency. The findings provide practical insights for café owners and other business actors on utilizing design as a strategic tool to achieve sustainable business success and growth.

Abstract

This study investigates the implementation of Supply Chain Management (SCM) and the advantages of the franchise business model at Mixue, a culinary brand specializing in sweet dishes, particularly in its Pauh branch. The objective is to evaluate how efficient SCM practices and comprehensive support from the franchisor, including training and the provision of high-quality raw materials, have contributed to Mixue's rapid expansion in Indonesia. A thorough literature review was conducted to identify the key factors driving Mixue's success. The findings reveal that Mixue's SCM system ensures the seamless distribution of raw materials across all outlets, maintaining consistent product quality. Additionally, continuous operational support from the parent company offers attractive business opportunities for franchisees. The study concludes that the integration of an effective SCM system with a robust franchise model has enabled Mixue to create a profitable business ecosystem, establishing it as a major player in Indonesia's culinary industry

Abstract

Faringa Laundry is a laundry service business that has been operating since 2018 and is known for its quality service. This research analyzes maintenance reliability management at Faringa Laundry to identify the maintenance strategies implemented, factors that affect equipment reliability, and metrics used to assess reliability. The analysis was conducted on key assets that require maintenance, such as washing machines, steam irons, and dryers. This research uses MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures) and MTTR (Mean Time To Repair) metrics to measure reliability and repair efficiency. The results show that Faringa Laundry implements a corrective maintenance strategy, where repair actions are taken only after a breakdown occurs. This study recommends implementing a more structured preventive maintenance strategy to improve equipment reliability and longevity and reduce the frequency and cost of repairs.

Abstract

Facilities in tourist attractions are very important to support tourist comfort, one of the tourist attractions in West Sumatera is the Timbulun waterfall. This area has great potential but the facilities are not yet developed, this is known from the absence of development documents at the Tourism and Sports Office of Pesisir Selatan Regency. For this reason, it is necessary to develop facilities for the tourist attraction of the Timbulun waterfall in Pesisir Selatan Regency, then to determine the existing facilities it is necessary to study the literature and make observations on the tourist attraction of the Timbulun waterfall. Interviews were conducted with related parties who know about the existing facilities at Timbulun waterfall. In the South Coast District. The facility development design based on the tourism development component consists of 6 A’s, namely Attraction, Amenities, Ancillary, Activities, Accessibilities and Accommodation. Furthermore, the author has verified and validated with parties who are more experts in their fields.

Abstract

Cost incurred hotel guests as well quality service can influence satisfaction guest . In its implementation sometimes matter This escape from attention hotel management. Research This aiming see influence price as well as quality service to satisfaction guests at Sky Lounge The Premiere Hotel. Study This included in research descriptive quantitative based on method associative causal. Population study This guests who visited Sky Lounge The Premiere Hotel Padang in September 2021 – February 2022. Based on amount existing population as many as 2,918 then technique taking sample in research this is what i use formula Slovin with sample totaling 97 people. Data collection is carried out by communication inadvertently direct or with the spread questionnaire . Instrument research use questionnaire (survey) with compilation based on scale Likert . Trial instrument it's done there right with Validity test method and reliability test. Research results This namely on the price variable show category Enough with percentage 42.3%, then on the variable next on the variables quality service show category Enough with percentage of 44.3% and on the variable satisfaction visitor show category Enough with percentage of 50.5%. The R Square value is 0.165, which means influence variables X1, X2 , and Y as much as 16.5%

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the Influence of Moivation and Organizational Culture on Employee Commitment at the Kyriad Bumiminang Hotel. This type of research is quantitative descriptive using the survey method. The sampling technique uses non-probability sampling. The sample used is a saturated sample, a saturated sample is a sampling technique when all populations are used as samples. The sample used was all operational employees at the Kyriad Hotel Bumiminang Padang, totaling 41 people. The data obtained were described, then a description of the research results was carried out using the TCR and SPSS techniques. Based on the results of the study, the Influence of Moivation and Organizational Culture on Employee Commitment at the Kyriad Bumiminang Hotel is seen from: the motivation variable is categorized as good at 3.4, the visiting variable of organizational culture is categorized as very good at 3.32, and the commitment variable is categorized as good at 3.33. the regression equation is Y = 24.111 + 0.110X1 + 0.176X2, and the F test value in this multiple linear regression analysis is 12.375 with a p-value of 0.000 which is smaller than 0.05 (significant) and an Adj.R square value of 0.322.

Abstract

This research began with the discovery of the occupancy rate of Villa Air Manis Hill Residence rooms that did not reach the target. This study aims to determine the influence of Instagram social media on the decision to stay at Villa Air Manis Hill Residence. This type of research is quantitative research with a causal associative method. The population in this study were guests staying at Villa Air Manis Hills Residence with a sample of 130 people. The data collection technique used was to distribute questionnaires. The instrument test used validity and reliability tests. Data processing and analysis used were data tabulation and data description. The analysis requirements test used normality tests, homogeneity tests and linearity tests. The research hypothesis testing used simple regression analysis. The results of this study are 1) Villa Air Manis Hill Residence social media promotion shows a sufficient category with a percentage of 63.2%, 2) The decision to stay at Villa Air Manis Hill Residence shows a sufficient category with a percentage of 67.6%, 3) The influence of social media promotion variables on the decision to stay is 15.2% with a significance value of 0.00 <0.05 thus X has an effect on Y.

Abstract

This study aims to determine what factors influence brand switching at Kyriad Bumiminang Hotel Padang. This research uses a type of quantitative descriptive research using survey methods. The sampling method in this study used purposive sampling. Purposive sampling is a sampling technique with certain considerations. The sampling criteria were those who had stayed at the Kyriad Bumiminang Padang Hotel and were over 17 years old. The sample used was the guests of the Kyriad Bumiminang Padang Hotel, totaling 93 people. In addition, the data obtained is described, then a description of the research results is carried out using the TCR technique
