The use of online learning media is not a new thing in English Foreign Language (EFL) classrooms. This research aimed to investigate the use of online learning media for online learning activities. The participants of this research were some teachers and students from several senior high schools in the Bogor area. This is a type of qualitative research with a descriptive approach where observation and documentation were conveyed to collect the data. The results showed that WhatsApp is the most favourable media to be utilized in teaching and learning activities. It eases the teachers to communicate with the students on an online basis.

The purpose of this research is to investigate assessment practices in English learning classes at junior high school, particularly in education, and to know what kinds of assessments are often used by English teachers. This study use a qualitative descriptive method using observation and interviews. The object ofthis research was three English teachers who teach English at SMP Negeri 4 Leuwiliang. Therefore, the writer hopes this research give helpful information for anyone directly or indirectly related to education. The results show that traditionaland alternative are used to measure different types of abilities, and at this time teachers are still dominant in using traditional assessments, because they areeasier to use than authentic assessments which require more time and accuracy.

Intro The purpose of this study is to investigate speaking anxiety of English Education Department students in STKIP Muhammadiyah Bogor during presentation. The subject of the study are students in English Department student’s at second semester, The took subject 26 students in class A at second semester. The writer try to identify what are the internal and external factors that may contribute to anxiety in English learning especially when giving presentation and. This research used descriptive qualitative method. The result of this showed From the data analysis result in questionnaire, the writer found that the most of students are at “Medium anxiety” level without “Relaxed” and Very Relaxed. There are 6 (23%) students who experience “High Anxiety” level, 11 (42%) students are in “Medium Anxiety” level, and 9 (35%) students from 26 students, is in “Low Anxiety” Level. The result of this research show that from psychological aspect almost a half of students (42%) are in the level of moderate anxiety, 6 students (23%) are in the level of severe anxiety, and9 students (35%) are in the level mild anxiety. The source of anxiety are not only from internal factor but also from external factor, those factors are: afraid of classmate, and the role of lecturers.

This research was qualitative research. The purpose of this study was to find out how to use the spinning wheel as a media in learning speaking ability. The writer conducted this research in terms of the use of the Spinning Wheel as a media in learning speaking ability. The writer used questionnaires and interviews for data collection. The results showed that students felt more confident in their ability to speak English with positive results in all participants. The students also have fun learning to used these media. The students feel that learning to speak greatly increases their self-confidence. Spinning Wheel media is very helpful in understanding a material when students learn so that students do not feel bored while studying

Language and culture are related to each other. Being communicatively competent requires learners to understand the cultures. Teaching learners about cultural aspects may be effectively applied through textbook because it can be easily claimed that textbooks play vital role in English language teaching. The writer analyzed the cultural content of English textbook for 5th elementary school entitled Grow with English 2016 revised edition. This research aimed to describe types of cultures, how culture are represented in the textbook This research used descriptive qualitative method consists of content analysis to analyze the textbook. This research also adopted two frameworks from Cortazzi and Jin about types of culture and framework from Adaskou, Britten and Fahsi about sense of culture. The analysis found that English textbooks Grow With English for fifth grade dominantly presented through source culture compared to international culture and target culture. Secondly, the sense cultures were mostly represented by semantic sense compared to sociological sense, pragmatic sense, and aesthetic sense in textbooks. This research also found that there was an unbalanced quantity among presented types of cultures. In addition, every type and sense of culture contained in the English textbook is very important. The advantages of learning a language is that the students can learn culture at the same time, which can add insight to students.

This study aims to investigate the use of posters by young learners to learn English as foreign language. In line with the aim, this study administered descriptive qualitative research method to investigate the phenomenon. The participants in this research were teachers and students at a senior high school in Bogor, Indonesia. To collect the data, the authors used semi-structured interviews and documentation. The result of this research showed that posters could be used as an alternative medium during the learning process in the middle of remote teaching to maximize students’ learning motivation. Posters can be an alternative to be used as learning media to stimulate students’ speaking skill and vocabulary

Vocabulary is an essential building block of language and as such it makes sense to be able to measure learners’ knowledge of it. The objectives of the research was to know the difficulties faced by students in learning vocabulary and what the factors that cause students’ difficulties in learning vocabulary. The number of participants who selected by the writer are 10 eighth grade students of SMP Pesona Dywantara using purposive sampling. The research design used in this research was descriptive qualitative because this research results the descriptive data in the form of written or picture data from the subjects of the research being observed. Based on the data analysis, the writer found three difficulties faced by students. Those are; spelling and pronunciation, words meaning and using words appropriately. This research was qualitative research. The objective of the research was to investigate student’s perception of BBC English YouTube Channel for learning vocabulary mastery. The subject of the research was tenth grade students of SMK Putra Pelita, located in Cibitung Tengah-Tenjolaya. There were 10 participants in this research. The data collecting technique used by the writer were questionnaire and interview. The writer did the research by sharing questionnaire in form of Google form. The result showed that students felt easier when learning English by watching video. The participant agreed that BBC English Channel video was easy to understand because the pronunciation was clear. Then, the participant can learn a lot of vocabulary that they did not know before after watch the video. It also increase their language aspect especially grammar. Besides, the result of the questionnaire and interview showed that the result was positive. Participants agreed that using BBC Channel on YouTube can help them in learning vocabulary mastery. Furthermore, this media can be an alternative way for teacher to teach English especially vocabulary mastery. Thus it can be concluded that learning vocabulary mastery using BBC English YouTube channel has proven to be effective in increasing students’ vocabulary mastery.

This research is descriptive qualitative research. The objectives of the research is to know what are the teacher’s strategies on English e-learning classes during the COVID-19 pandemic and to what extent do the strategies help the teachers in English e-learning at senior high school. The writer conducted this research in terms of the teaching strategies of english teachers in Taman Islam Senior High School, Putra Pelita Vocational High School and Pelita Bangsa Sejahtera Vocational High School. The writer used observation, interview and documentation for data collecting technique. The results of the research show that (1) the strategies used by teachers in English e-learning classes regarding listening skills include learning done directly or face to face and using songs. Regarding speaking skills include memorizing vocabulary, making video blogs or vlogs, making self introduction and sending the self introduction by voice note. Regarding reading skills include checking background knowledge, giving reading text to analyze, and choosing varied materials. Regarding writing skills include, giving an example of a text about the material, using a video, explaining material via voice note and allowing students to have personal chat. (2) Several strategies used by teachers are very helpful in teaching English e-learning classes during COVID-19 pandemic. The strategies used also make them easier to achieve learning goals

This study focused on the effect of the use of Skimming Techniques on the Reading Comprehension of eleventh grade students of TKJ SMK Pelita Ciampea. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of the use of Skimming Techniques on the Reading Comprehension of Eleventh grade TKJ SMK Pelita Ciampea. This research used quantitative research using Pre-test and Post-test. The writer used normality test, homogeneity test, and T-test. The result of the post-test showed that the experimental class after giving treatment had significouldt effect. To measure t-test result the writer used formula for a 0,05% with df 25+25 - 2 = 48, it was gained ttable with a = 0,05 = 1,67793 and tcount = 13,483. Thus, tcount > t table (13,483 > 1,67793). From the result of t-test the writer concluded that H0 was rejected and Ha was accepted. Based on the result Improving Students’ Reading Comprehension In Learning English Narrative Text Through Skimming Technique is very significouldt. It is proven that Narrative Text through Skimming Technique was effective in students' reading comprehension
