Abstract

TheEffectiveness of Problem Based Learning’s Worksheet (LKPD)- Oriented forEnhancing Students Creative Thinking. This study aimed to describe the impact of the use of Worksheet Students (LKPD) oriented model of Problem Based Learning (PBL) on theScience topicsabout Sense of Hearing and Sonar Systems in Human Beings. The data collection is done with quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental design with Nonequivalent pre-test post-test. A total of 74 students of a junior high school in the city of Bandar Lampung involved as research samples. Samples were divided into two groups: an experimental group where students acquire learning using LKPD-based treatment and control groups use traditional PBL LKPD in students’ books. The results showed that LKPD based on PBL effective in use for science topics of Sense of Hearing and Sonar Systems in Beings with high levels of effectiveness (N-Gain = 0.78). Keywords: LKPD, PBL, creative thinking skill, sense of hearing and sonar systems in human beings DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpp.v6.i1.201601

Abstract

The Study of Social-Cultural Meaning of Signs Solo’ in the Character Building of Students. The problems of young generationcharacter is the impact of globalization. It caused the need of character building education. Ceremony of solo’ signs that has social value and religus can be used as teaching material in character education. The purpose of this study was to determine the socio-cultural meanings of ceremony solo’ signs in Toraja. This study was a literature study by using descriptive analysis. The results are as follows: a). As a unifying container family; b). As a means to divide the inheritance; c). As a point of stating dignity; c). As a point of mutual cooperation and responsibility; d). As a container artistic development means; e). As a containers of donating. Abstract

The Ability of Translating Analytical Exposition Text at Twelfth Grade of SMA. This study aimed at describing the ability of the twelfth grade students of SMA Negeri 1 Gadingrejo Pringsewu Academic Year 2015/2016 in translating an analytical exposition text from English into Indonesian. This is a qualitative descriptive research with a total sample of 50 students. The data were collected through a test in the form of translation work of an analytical exposition text. The results showed that in general the ability of the students in translating an analyticalexposition text from English into Indonesian of the twelfth grade students of SMA Negeri 1 Gadingrejo Pringsewu Odd Semester Academic Year 2015/2016 is categorized good with an average score of 76.2 Keywords: translating, translation, text, analytical exposition DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpp.v6.i1.201601

Abstract

Improving Social Science LearningOutcomes of Economy Activity and Natural Resources Through Picture and Picture. The purpose of this study was to improve the learning outcomes of IPS about the activities and natural resources through a model picture and picture in the fourth grade of SDN 09 Pagi Rawamangun, Pulogadung in East Jakarta. The research wasconducted at SDN Rawamangun 09 Pagi, which is located at Jalan Pemuda No.06 Jakarta Sub Rawamangun Kec.Pulogadung Timur. The study was conducted during one month, in January 2016 in the 2nd half of the school year 2015-2016. This research method was using classroom action research cycle model of Stephen Kemmis and Mc. Taggart with 4 stages of each cycle including planning, implementation, observation and reflection. Abstract

Mathematical Communication Ability of Deaf Students in Mathematics Learning in SMPLB-B PKK of Lampung Province. The obstacles encountered during the implementation process of mathematics learning in inclusive junior high school B of Family Welfare Guidance (SMPLB-B PKK) Lampung is the disruption of communication between students and teachers or vice versa. The purpose of this study was to determine the ability of mathematical communication of deaf students in mathematics learning. Stages of this qualitative descriptive study included an observation, interviews, documentation and triangulation using a handycam recording device. The data used in this research was the data analysis by Miles and Huberman model. The results showed that the students feel more comfortable in receiving learning with lecture method of sign language- based, oral method (speech), and writing, but an understanding of concepts and mathematical ability of deaf students is still relatively low. Keywords: mathematical communication, signaling system, the deaf DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpp.v6.i1.201601

Abstract

The Efectiveness of Direct Learning and STAD Model Viewed by Mathematical Conceptual Understanding of Students. This quasi experimental research was aimed to know the efectiveness of direct learning and STAD model viewed by mathematical conceptual understanding on field dependent students. The population of this research was all students of grade eight of SMPN 1 Natar Lampung Selatan. The sampling was done by cluster random sampling technique. This research used pretest-posttest control group design. Abstract

Problem Solving Skills Development Strategies in The Context of Building Disaster Resilience. This study will provide an alternative strategy that can be done to improve problem solving skills, on children in the context of building the disaster resilience which are integrated in the learning process of science through community learning strategy. Qualitative and psychosocial research ethnography was conducted on 34 students in the District of the West Coast as the area with the most potential to experience the devastating earthquake and tsunami. Data were obtained using a strategy of focused group discussions and depth interviews with elements of the school community which are teachers, and parents. The purpose of the involvement of the school community was to get the data in understanding the resilience of students. Abstract

The Application of Problem-Based Electric Circuit Practicum Model of Students’ Scientific Inquiry Skills. The study was conducted by the method of research and development. This research was conducted in the laboratory of physics education of FPMIPA, University of Medan. The result product is a problem-based learning media, practical tools and Problem-Based Electric Circuit Labwork Learning Model which can improve the results of scientific inquiry. The results of this research is that the Problem-Based Electric Circuits Labwork Learning Model development is still in the limited testing phase. Abstract

Implementation of Dual System Education in Public Vocational High Schools in Bandar Lampung City. This study aims to analyze the issues of dual system education in public vocational high schools (SMKN 1 and SMKN 4) Bandar Lampung focusing on the quality of dual system education management implementation through qualitative research approach. Research results show that both schools have already performed management functions including planning, implementation, and evaluation. However, the implementation phase in business and industry experienced several problems to be solved by coordination during industry work practices. Abstract

Gross Motoric Learning Through Colour Circuit. The availability of game is being the main asset in early childhood activities. This research was motivated by the colour circuit game conducted by the early childhood teachers which has not been developed. The purpose of this qualitative study was to observe how the steps in developing the color circuit game and how design of educative game tools in colour circuit game. The method used was research and development of colour circuit game with the research subjects were the students of group B in TK Negeri Pembina Metro Timur. The result of the developments are the activity of colour circuit.
