Abstract

Social behavior influences consumer purchase decisions, especially in the mobile telecommunications industry, which is increasingly reliant on social media. Consumers now not only depend on information from companies but also reviews, recommendations, and interactions on digital platforms. This study aims to examine how social behavior, with a focus on the influence of social media, shapes purchase decisions. Using an online survey experimental approach, participants were divided into three groups based on the information received: consumer reviews, expert reviews, and trusted friend recommendations. The results indicate that external information, whether from consumer reviews or experts, promotes faster decision-making, while recommendations from friends have a stronger influence on product choice compared to social media. Although the influence of social media is significant, personal recommendations remain stronger. In the post-purchase phase, external influences no longer alter the decisions already made. These findings provide guidance for telecommunications companies in designing more effective marketing strategies, leveraging social media and personal recommendations to influence purchase decisions.

Abstract

The development of Industry 4.0 has pushed manufacturing firms to accelerate information flow, improve decision accuracy, and reorganize communication on the shop floor. This study aims to analyze practitioners’ perspectives on the need for digital transition through the use of management visualization boards. A qualitative case study design was applied through 12 semi-structured interviews, 9 observations of production briefings, and a review of 18 supporting documents. The findings show that management visualization boards still function as the main medium of daily operational communication because they help teams review targets, discuss problems, and determine corrective actions quickly. Manual boards were considered superior for briefing flexibility, especially for marking issues, drawing arrows, and making short sketches during discussion. However, manual data updates were time-consuming, created duplicate recording, and made problem histories difficult to trace. Digital boards were seen as neater, easier to monitor, and more supportive for reading trends, but they could not fully replace manual boards because they did not yet support spontaneous discussion and not all data were automatically integrated. Practitioners mainly expected faster data updates, lower administrative burden, stored action histories, and cross-shift and cross-unit information access. These results indicate that digital transition should proceed carefully in production environments overall.

Abstract

Digital transformation plays a crucial role in enhancing organizational efficiency and competitiveness. This study aims to identify the capabilities required by organizations to optimize the digital transformation process and develop a practical framework based on dynamic capability mechanisms. Data collected from 150 respondents involved in digital transformation across various sectors revealed seven key themes: Strategy and Ecosystem, Innovation Thinking, Digital Transformation Technologies, Data, Operations, Organizational Design, and Digital Transformation Leadership. The findings show that the success of digitalization depends on an organization's ability to manage technology, data, innovation, and leadership that adapts to change. The developed framework can be applied by organizations to design more effective strategies, focusing on managing disruptive technologies, maximizing data utilization, and fostering leadership that supports innovation, enabling organizations to overcome challenges during the digitalization process.

Abstract

Digital transformation encourages organizations to leverage information technology strategically to improve performance and operational efficiency. This study examines the impact of IT resources and strategic alignment on organizational performance, including the moderating role of environmental uncertainty. Data were collected from 90 respondents, comprising 45 IT managers and 45 executive managers from public and private sector organizations, using a 74-item questionnaire and analyzed with WarpPLS6. Results indicate that IT management and strategic alignment positively influence performance, while IT investment without effective management does not yield significant effects. Environmental uncertainty strengthens the influence of IT management and strategic alignment on performance, particularly when organizations adapt their strategies to external changes. The interaction between IT investment and management also improves performance, but its effect diminishes under high uncertainty if adaptive strategies are insufficient. These findings highlight the importance of integrating IT governance, business strategy, and adaptive responses to change in achieving superior outcomes. Balanced strategies encompassing technology investment, management, and alignment enable organizations to enhance productivity, innovation, and competitiveness sustainably.

Abstract

The study aims to analyze temporal change in digital business through the integration of process theory and agent-based modeling. The approach is used to understand how technology adoption evolves over time through the interaction of user perception, network influence, and organizational response. The research method consists of two stages, namely process mapping and simulation of technology adoption involving 200 agents classified as innovators, early majority, and late majority. Key variables include perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, network influence, and system usage level. Simulation results show an increase in adopters from 20 agents at T0 to 180 agents at T3, accompanied by a rise in average perceived ease of use from 3.5 to 4.5 and perceived usefulness from 3.6 to 4.6. Network effects accelerate adoption, especially after innovators establish usage legitimacy for other groups. Findings indicate that digital transformation progresses gradually and is shaped by the interaction among actors, technology, and organizational readiness. The integration of process theory and agent-based modeling supports adaptive strategy, strengthens organizational resilience, improves digital business performance, enables more effective decision-making, and sustains adoption processes within rapidly changing digital environments.
