Abstract

Chronic Kidney Disease is a kidney disease in which there is a decrease in kidney function over a period of months to years which is characterized by a slow decrease in the glomerular filtration rate (GFR) over a long period. 1 There are no initial symptoms of chronic kidney disease, however Over time, when chronic kidney disease worsens, symptoms will appear such as: swelling of the legs, fatigue, nausea and vomiting, loss of appetite, and confusion. Kidney function indicates the condition of the kidneys and their function in kidney physiology. A risk factor for chronic kidney disease can be the patient's family history of the disease. This research was conducted on 100 people with chronic kidney disease who experienced anemia who were hospitalized at Dr. Tadjuddin Chalid Hospital. This research used a descriptive observational method using secondary data in the form of medical records of chronic kidney disease sufferers who had anemia who were hospitalized at Dr. Tadjuddin Chalid Hospital. The results of this study show the distribution of chronic kidney disease sufferers who experience anemia who are hospitalized at Dr. Tadjuddin Chalid Hospital, namely: (1) Characteristics based on age are mostly late elderly (44%), (2) More often suffer from severe anemia (50%), (3) With the highest degree of GFR, namely at stage 5 (85%), (4) there is more history of hypertension (46%), history of diabetes mellitus (29%), history of urinary tract stones (6%), prostate hypertrophy (16%) and others ( 3%). Based on the results of research describing the characteristics of anemia in CKD patients who were hospitalized at Dr. Tadjuddin Chalid Hospital of 100 samples, it was found that patients in late elderly age were the majority of patients who experienced chronic kidney disease, had severe degrees of anemia and had GFR stage 5 and had the most comorbid diseases. Many are hypertension.

Dengue fever (DHF) is a second common medical condition highly prevalent in Central America, the Americas, the Caribbean and Southeast Asia. Humans are the pathogen and natural host of DHF. The dengue virus is part of the Flavivirus and Flaviviridae family. Insect bites, mainly Aedes aegypte and Aedes albopictus, are widespread in most parts of Indonesia. Dengue fever is most common in the age group of 5-14 years. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors that have an association with dengue hemorrhagic fever in children hospitalized at Labuang Baji Hospital Makassar in 2022. The research sample used was total sampling with a sample size of 38 people recorded in medical records. This research is cross sectional with analytic research design. Data analysis was processed using bivariate analysis, namely the chi-square test. The results showed that as many as 38 medical records of pediatric patients, 32 (84.2%) people who experienced DHF and 6 (15.8%) people who did not experience DHF. It can be concluded that the majority of dengue hemorrhagic fever occurs at the age of 5-14 years (68.4%) and obtained a p-value of 0.000. The gender of dengue hemorrhagic fever patients in children was mostly found in males (71.1%) with a p-value of 0.000. The nutritional status of dengue hemorrhagic fever patients in children was found to be more in poor nutritional status (57.9%) and the p-value was 0.003. The study concluded that age, gender, and nutritional status have a significant relationship with the incidence of dengue hemorrhagic fever

Abstract

Inflammation of the nasal mucosa called allergic rhinitis is caused by an allergically sensitive reaction to certain allergens such as pollen, dust, tungsten, cigarette smoke, air pollution, and pet fur. Symptoms of allergic rhinitis include sneezing, a wet nose, itching, and clogging. Therefore, one reason why allergic rhinitis patients do not do physical activity. The aim of this research is to find out how the quality of life of students of the University of Bosowa Medical Faculty is affected by allergic rhinitis. Results of a study with 79 respondents. This quantitative research uses an observational analytical design and a cross-sectional approach. Spearman Rank Korean analysis, a type of non-parametric statistical test, is used to analyze data. The results of the study showed that as many as 32 students (40.5%) suffered from allergic rhinitis and 47 students (59.5%) did not suffer. To evaluate the quality of life of allergic rhinitis patients with the SF-36 Item (The Short Form 36 Items) filling instrument, as many as 30 students or 30.97% of allergic rinitis patients have a good quality of living. The results of data analysis using bivariate statistical tests showed a correlation of (R) 0.133 and a significance value of (P) 0.243 for the variable quality of life and allergic rhinitis. So, there's no link between allergic rhinitis and quality of life.

Abstract

Type 2 diabetes is a type of diabetes that is generally caused by insulin resistance and decreased pancreatic beta cell function, where insulin resistance causes the body to not fully respond to insulin. The purpose of this study was to find out things that have a relationship with the occurrence of type II diabetes mellitus in several locations in the Asia-Africa region from 2012 to 2021. The research method is an analytical research by synthesizing the results obtained by nine scientific research articles with a case control research design. The results of the eleven studies analyzed show that there are things that have a relationship with the occurrence of type II diabetes mellitus in patients in several locations in the Europe region, which is a significant relationship between nutritional status, smoking habit, history of hypertension and family history. on the incidence of type II diabetes mellitus in several locations in the Asia-Africa region with p value < 0.05%. The Conclusion of the incidence of type II diabetes mellitus in several locations in the Europe region from 2012 to 2021 has a significant relationship to nutritional status, smoking habit, history of hypertension and family history.

Abstract

Noise induced hearing loss is hearing loss caused by exposure to noise that is quite loud for a long period of time and usually caused by the noise of the work environment. It’s deafness is sensorineural cochlear deafness and generally occurs in both ears. The purpose of this study was to find out things that have to do with noise induced hearing loss in workers in several locations in Indonesia. The research method is an analytical research by synthesizing the results obtained from ten scientific research journals with cross sectional design. The results of the ten studies analyzed showed that there are things that have a relationship with noise induced hearing loss in workers in several locations in Indonesia period of 2014 to 2021, namely there is a significant relationship between working period (p value 0.000), noise intensity (p value 0.000), use of hearing PPE (p value 0.000), hypertention (p value 0.005) and there was no significant relationship between age (p value 0.057) and diabetes mellitus (p value 0.330) on the incidence of noise induced hearing loss in workers. The conclusion is that the incidence of noise induced hearing loss in workers in several locations in Indonesia has a significant relationship with working period, noise intensity, use of hearing PPE and hypertention, and has no significant relationship with age and diabetes mellitus

Abstract

Acute coronary syndrome is a picture of ischemic conditions in the myocardium (heart muscle) caused by plaque in the coronary arteries and gets worse with the thrombosis process, causing obstruction which causes reduced perfusion to the myocardium. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors associated with patients with acute coronary syndrome based on hypertension, diabetes, smoking, dyslipidemia and obesity. The research method used in this study is analytic by using a literature objective approach on factors that are associated with patients with acute coronary syndrome in the journal of medical research results in the literature. The results of research from eleventeen literature journals show that there is a relationship between acute coronary syndrome in several locations in the Asian region from 2011 to 2019 it can be concluded that in patients with acute coronary syndrome, namely hypertension (p-value = <0.001), diabetes (p-value = <0.001), smoking (p-value = <0.001), dyslipidemia (p-value = <0.001), obesity (p-value = <0.001), had a significant relationship with acute coronary syndrome in several locations in Asia during the period It is hoped that this research will be able to increase the participation of the health department, in collaboration with health workers and community leaders in preventing and dealing with acute coronary syndrome events.
