Abstract

This aims of this research are to determine the relationship of student micro teaching-learning achievement with student readiness to be a teacher.  An educational internship experience is essential to be analyzed as being a teacher.  The study population was 69 active students. Fifty-eight students taken as samples were determined by simple random sampling technique. The documentation method is used to analyze micro teaching and PPL learning achievement variables. The variable readiness to become a teacher is obtained through the questionnaire method. Various tests were carried out with the help of the SPSS Version 21.0 program. Normality tests, linearity tests, and multicollinearity tests were carried out as test prerequisites. The data analysis technique uses partial correlation and multiple linear regression with a significance level of analysis of 5%. The results of the study show that the student learning achievement of microteaching on the readiness to be a teacher has a positive and significant relationship. Student Internship experience influences the readiness to be a teacher. The learning achievement of microteaching and Student Internship experience is considered to make big effect for being a teacher.  Keywords: Learning achievement in Microteaching, learning achievement in Field Experience Program, preparedness to become teachers

Abstract

Based on observations at SMKS Pancasila Surakarta, the learning process in Non- Conventional Machining Techniques, specifically the Basic Introduction to CNC Machines, faced challenges due to ineffective learning media, primarily relying on textbooks and lecture-based methods. This study aims to investigate the improvement in interest, activeness, and learning outcomes of class XI Machining Techniques (XI TPM) students through the application of the Quizizz platform based on game-based learning in the Merdeka Curriculum for the 2024/2025 academic year. The study employed a Classroom Action Research (PTK) approach with a quantitative Kemmis and Mc. Taggart model design. The research subjects were 13 students from class XI TPM. Data were collected through observation, learning outcome tests, questionnaires, and documentation. Data analysis included validation analysis, questionnaire analysis, observation sheet analysis, and learning outcome analysis. The results showed that in cycle I, student learning completeness reached 84.62% with an average score of 82.69, increasing in cycle II to 92.3% with an average score of 88.46. Student learning interest in cycle I reached 76.92%, increasing to 84.6% in cycle II. Student activeness in cycle I was 69.23%, rising to 92.3% in cycle II. Observation of student activeness in cycle I was 73%, increasing to 92% in cycle II. The application of the Quizizz platform based on game-based learning increased learning completeness by 69.23%, learning interest by 76.91%, and student activeness by 76.92%, indicating that students were more motivated and active in learning.

Abstract

Academic dishonesty is a deliberate violation of academic rules for personal gain. Academic dishonesty can reduce the reputation of students and universities, as well as dishonest behavior in the world of work, so research is needed regarding engineering students' perceptions of academic dishonesty. This study aims to determine perceptions, experiences, reasons why engineering students commit academic dishonesty, and to determine the influence between perceptions and experiences of witnessing acts of academic dishonesty. The population used in this study were S1 students from the UNS Faculty of Engineering and the samples taken were 97 respondents. The results of the study show that engineering students' perceptions of academic dishonesty are that students know that academic dishonesty is important, can have an impact on damaging moral character, including actions that violate social and religious norms, so that it becomes the student's responsibility, and must be responsible for caring for the integrity of other students. . The experience of engineering students with academic dishonesty is that students have committed dishonesty but support existing policies, often use unauthorized material during exams, work on papers or articles without including references, and ask for help from seniors who have taken exams but rarely submit assignments properly. pay someone else to complete it and rarely miss out on group assignments. Academic dishonesty policies already exist but sanctions and supervision need to be tightened to reduce academic dishonesty. The reason engineering students commit academic dishonesty is because they don't get sanctioned or punished, the attitude of the lecturer, many friends who do this, will make grades better, difficulty working on questions, easy internet access and fear of failure and lack of study time. Most of the respondents committed academic dishonesty due to internal factors. There is a positive and significant influence between perception and experience of witnessing techniques on the experience of committing academic dishonesty. So that when the perception and experience of witnessing gets higher, they will not commit academic dishonesty.

Abstract

Improving the quality of vocational education, particularly in the field of engineering, is a strategic step in preparing graduates to be competitive in the industrial sector. One crucial factor that supports the learning process is a well-maintained workshop environment. This study aims to analyze the influence of workbench workshop environmental conditions on the learning motivation of students in the Mechanical Engineering Education Program at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Universitas Sebelas Maret. This research employed a quantitative approach with an associative survey design. The sample consisted of 91 students selected through a total sampling technique. Data were collected using a closed-ended questionnaire with a Likert scale (1–4) and analyzed using regression analysis. The results show that the average score for the workshop environment was 41.12, while the average score for learning motivation was 56.80. The normality test indicated that the residual data for learning motivation were normally distributed (Asymp. Sig. = 0.074), and the linearity test confirmed a linear relationship between workshop environment and learning motivation (Sig. = 0.297). The regression test revealed that the workshop environment had a positive influence on student learning motivation. These findings suggest that a well-managed workshop environment can foster enthusiasm and student engagement in the learning process.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of roller weight variations on the performance of the Honda Stylo 160 automatic motorcycle in 2024. The research method used is a quantitative experiment with roller weight variations of 13, 15, 17, 19, and 20 grams. Tests were carried out using a dynamometer to measure torque and power. The results showed that the roller weight variation had a significant effect on the torque and power produced. The roller weighing 13 grams produced the highest torque of 23.55 N.m and power of 13.6 HP, while the heaviest roller of 20 grams produced the highest average power of 13.06 HP. The results of this study can be concluded that the use of lighter weight rollers tends to increase torque, while heavier weight rollers tend to increase the power generated. Although there is a general increase in power with an increase in roller weight, variations in the measurement results indicate that other factors such as engine efficiency also play an important role in motorcycle performance.
