Abstract

The purpose of this study to determine the benefits, challenges and strategies for implementing game-based learning at the Akademi Keuangan Perbankan (AKUBANK). The research method uses a qualitative approach which includes data collection through interviews and observation of AKUBANK lecturers and students. The research participants consisted of lecturers and first semester students of introductory accounting courses. The results of this study indicate that game-based learning has significant benefits in the context of higher education at AKUBANK. The introduction of games into the learning process can increase student motivation and participation, facilitate understanding of academic concepts, encourage creativity and critical thinking, and increase social interaction and cooperation among students. However, this study also identified challenges in implementing game-based learning at AKUBANK, including designing and developing effective game content, the need for adequate technical resources, monitoring student progress, as well as training and support needed to integrate game-based lectures.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the leadership style of school principals in improving teacher performance at SMKN Taman Fajar East Aceh. This study uses a qualitative research method with a case study approach. Data collection was carried out through observation and interviews with 31 teachers at SMKN Taman Fajar East Aceh. The results of the study show that there is a significant positive relationship between the principal's leadership style and teacher performance. The transformational leadership style which includes inspiring, motivating and empowering teachers, as well as the transactional leadership style which includes giving gifts and punishments has a strong effect on teacher performance at SMKN Taman Fajar East Aceh. Good communication is a key factor in building a harmonious and mutually supportive working relationship between the principal and teachers at SMKN Taman Fajar.

Abstract

The purpose of this study to determine the increase competency of mathematics teachers in using visual aids through inspection supervision at the target schools in semester II of the 2022/2023 academic year. This research designed in the form of School Action Research which was carried out in two cycles, as the subjects were mathematics teachers in schools assisted by researchers as many as 28 teachers. The results showed that the competency score in the use of teaching aids was 91-100 or category A in the initial conditions there were no, in the first cycle there were 5 people or 17.86%, while in the second cycle increased to 9 teachers or 32.14%. In the initial conditions there were 3 teachers or 10.71% of the total teachers having scores between 76-90% Good category (B), in cycle I there were 12 teachers or 42.86% of the total teachers having grades between 76-90 % Good category (B), while in cycle II it increased to 18 teachers or 64.29% of the total number of teachers. In the initial conditions there were 6 teachers or 21.43% with a score of 60-75 Enough category (C), while in cycle I there were 7 teachers or 25.00% of the total number of teachers with a score of 60-75 Enough category ( C), while in cycle II there was only 1 teacher left with a score of 60-75 Enough category (C).

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to explore the Problem Based Learning (PBM) method in learning history at SMPN 3 Peureulak. This study uses a qualitative research method with a case study approach. Data collection was carried out through class observations, interviews with history teachers, and analysis of learning materials. The research participants consisted of two history teachers and 30 class VIII students of SMPN 3 Peureulak. The results showed that history teachers had designed student-centered learning activities by introducing complex historical issues and encouraging students to gather evidence and analyze historical information. The Problem-Based Learning Approach (PBM) in history learning at SMPN 3 Peureulak also has an impact on students, namely: increasing understanding of historical concepts, increasing student involvement, developing critical thinking skills, improving collaboration and communication skills, and introducing multiple perspectives.

Abstract

This study aims to obtain an overview of improving ablution skills through the Discovery Learning learning model for students in PAI learning class VII SMP Negeri 13 Langsa. This study used a classroom action research design which was carried out in two stages, cycle I and cycle II. Data collection is done by assessment or performance. Based on management data, it is known that at the pre-cycle stage of the skills training skills for ablution, students in class VII-2 have a percentage of 69.85% with the acquisition of skills > 75 by 10% (2 students) and those who acquire skills of <75 are 90% (18 students). In cycle I, after following the Discovery Learning learning model, there was an increase in skills to reach skills > 75 by 40% (8 students) and those who acquired skills of <75 were 60% (12 students). Meanwhile, at the end of cycle II, 85% (17 students) achieved skill >75 and 15 (3 students) obtained skill <75. The average value also increased each cycle. The average gain in the first cycle was 73.80% and in the second cycle it became 80.90%. In other words, class VII students of SMP Negeri 13 Langsa have good skills in ablution skills using the Discovery Learning learning model.

Abstract

This research was conducted with the aim of knowing whether class supervision at SMP Negeri 13 Langsa can improve the learning process. The results of school action research can be concluded as follows, in cycle 1 activities the results obtained from the number of supervised teachers 16 people obtained the results of 6 people who have an average value of 60% which can already be categorized as good or equal to (37.5%) while 10 other people who have an average value of 50% are included in the sufficient category or equal to (62.5%). In cycle 2 activities, the results obtained were that the number of teachers was 16 people who were supervised. Again, there were 12 people who had an average score of 60% which could be categorized as good or equal to (75%), while 4 more people had an average score of 50% included in enough category or equal to (25%). To improve the learning process in schools, the principal should make an intensive class visit supervision program every semester, so that all teachers carry out learning activities properly.

Abstract

The aims of this research are: 1). to describe the effect of applying the TAI (Team Assisted Individually) method to increasing Student Ability in Determining the Generic Structure of a Report in class IX students of SMP Negeri 13 Langsa in the 2020/2021 academic year. The subjects in the study were 20 students in class IX at SMP Negeri 13 Langsa. Data collection methods used are observation, interviews and documentation. Meanwhile, to test the validity of the data is to use data triangulation. The results of the study show that there is an effect of the application of the TAI (Team Assisted Individually) method on increasing the Ability of Students in Determining the Generic Structure of a Report in class IX students of SMP Negeri 13 Langsa in the 2020/2021 academic year. This can be seen from the results obtained where in the first cycle the student learning outcomes were 60 and after carrying out learning with the TAI method the results obtained were 81.25 in cycle II. With these results, it has been shown that the existence of learning with the TAI method has had a positive impact on improving student learning outcomes. Having these results, in the initial conditions to cycle I the increase was not maximized and after being carried out in cycle II the results obtained increased significantly.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the CRH learning model on students' interest in studying the structure and rules of language and to find out the increase in student learning outcomes in examining the structure and language rules of explanatory texts. The benefits of this research are as a guide for researchers to increase students' interest and learning outcomes in examining the structure and language rules of explanatory texts. The subjects of this study were 25 students of SMP Negeri 7 Langsa, consisting of 12 boys and 13 girls. The data obtained in this research is descriptive qualitative. The research procedure was carried out in two cycles. The results showed that when the learning process took place, student-centered learning was created. This can be seen from the percentage of student learning completeness in cycle I was 42%, cycle II became 87.5%. The percentage of student activity in the first cycle was 73.61% in the sufficient category, in the second cycle it became 83.33% in the good category. Abstract

This research aims to gain a comprehensive understanding of the level of students' understanding of academic ethics at the Nusantara Banking Finance Academy (AKUBANK). This study uses a case study approach to explore the factors that influence the understanding of academic ethics, as well as their implications for the academic culture at this institution. The research method used is a case study involving AKUBANK Nusantara students as research subjects. Data was collected through in-depth interviews, questionnaires and observations. Data analysis was carried out using qualitative and quantitative approaches to comprehensively describe students' understanding of academic ethics. The research results show that AKUBANK Nusantara students already understand academic ethics. These findings provide valuable insights for higher education institutions in designing strategies to improve students' understanding of academic ethics. This study also contributes to the academic ethics literature by presenting the results of empirical research in the financial and banking education environment. Practical implications of this research include recommendations for developing academic ethics programs, increasing student awareness, and improving institutional policies to encourage a better academic culture.

Abstract

This research aims to investigate the crucial role of school principal leadership in increasing the effectiveness of the teaching team at Taman Fajar Vocational High School (SMKN). Through a qualitative approach, this research explores the leadership strategies and practices implemented by school principals to strengthen the collaboration and productivity of teaching teams in this educational environment. Research methods include in-depth interviews with school principals, teachers, as well as direct observation of the dynamics of teachers' work. Data analysis was carried out using a thematic approach to identify patterns and trends in the leadership roles carried out by school principals. The research results show that the principal's leadership plays a central role in creating a work climate that is conducive to team collaboration. Using a transformational approach, the principal at SMKN Taman Fajar encourages open communication, provides support, and empowers teaching team members to innovate in teaching methods. In addition, school principals also play a role in facilitating relevant training and professional development for the teaching team.
