Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine whether the work environment, communication and job stress affect job satisfaction at Southlinks Country Club Batam. This research was conducted using quantitative techniques. The population used consisted of 145 respondents at Southlinks Country Club Batam. The research sample used as many as 152 respondents at Southlinks Country Club Batam using the slovin formula. Questionnaires were used as a data collection technique. By using SPSS 25 software, data analysis techniques include descriptive statistical tests, data quality tests, classical assumption tests, influence tests, and hypothesis testing. Based on the results of multiple linear regression, the work environment (X1) has an effect of 0.164 or 16.4% on job satisfaction (Y) at Southlinks Country Club Batam, communication (X2) has an effect of 0.368 or 36.8% on job satisfaction (Y) at Southlinks Country Club Batam and work stress (X3) have an effect of 0.202 or 20.2% on job satisfaction (Y) at Southlinks Country Club Batam. Work environment factors, communication and work stress affect job satisfaction (Y) at Southlinks Country Club Batam by 64.7% according to the data of the coefficient of determination (R2). Based on the results of hypothesis testing, it was found that the work environment, communication and work stress had a positive and significant effect partially or simultaneously on job satisfaction (Y) at Southlinks Country Club Batam.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine whether training and work discipline affect work productivity at PT Duta Multi Karya. The research was conducted using quantitative techniques. The population used consisted of 130 employees of PT Duta Multi Karya. 130 employees of PT Duta Multi Karya were used as research samples using the saturated sampling method. Questionnaires were used as a data collection technique. By using SPSS 25 software, data analysis techniques include descriptive statistical tests, data quality tests, classical assumption tests, influence tests, and hypothesis testing. Based on the results of multiple linear regression, training has an effect of 0.208 or 20.8% on work productivity (Y) at PT Duta Multi Karya and work discipline (X2) has an effect of 0.447 or 44.7% on work productivity (Y) at PT Duta Multi Works. The factor of training and work discipline has an effect on work productivity (Y) at PT Duta Multi Karya by 82.1%.8% according to the data of the coefficient of determination (R2). Based on the results of the t test, training has a partially significant effect on work productivity and work discipline has a partially significant effect on work productivity, and the f test results show that training and work discipline simultaneously have a significant effect on work productivity (Y) at PT Duta Multi Karya

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of service quality, product quality and promotion on Maxim's customers satisfaction in Batam simultaneously and partially. The sample# in this study were customers' of Maxim, in Batam, Sagulung sub-district and Batam City, totaling 400 respondents with non-probability sample method. The results of the study indicate that service quality, products quality and the promotion have a positive effect on customer satisfaction with the regression equation Y = 5.177 + 0.2481X1 + 0.301X2 + 0.280X3. The contribution of the influence of service quality, product quality and promotion to customer's satisfaction simultaneously is 68.8%, the calculated F value is greater than F tabe or (291.197 > 2.6049) with a significance of 0.000 < 0.05. There is a simultaneous positive and significant effect among service quality, products quality and promotion on customer's satisfaction.

Abstract

In business the importance of strategy for achieving goals, profits and profitability is deciding how to make money each year. The responsibility strategy is identified by providing subsidies for company activities, expansion and investigation, and improving company implementation. Profitability is the company's ability to create (profit) all of its resources and capital in proportion to the contract. That studies aim to determine the effects of debt policy and profitabilities on dividend policies in companies in Manufacturing Companies on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. This research is a quantitative research. Participants in this study were all manufacturing companies in the food and beverage sub-sector listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2017-2021 period. The sample size of this research is 9 companies. The results of the study conclude that debt policy does not have a significant negative effect on dividend policy in manufacturing companies on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. However, profitability partially has a significant effect on dividend policy in manufacturing companies on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. And debt policy and profitability simultaneously have a significant effect on dividend policy in manufacturing companies on the Indonesia Stock Exchange

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis study aims to identify the effect of interest rates, promotion, and performance, towards customers interest on loaning at PT Alco Dana Mandiri Batam. Population in this study are customers at PT Alco Dana Mandiri per year totaling 756 customer per 6 months calculation, and using a sample of 260 people. This research was conducted using the Random Sampling technique. technique used in this research consist in descriptive test, test of vailidty, reability test, test of normality, multicolinear test, heterocedasity test and using multiple linear regression test, determination test, t test and f test. The results of this study are that the calculated F value is 65.972 which is way higher than the f that show up in table which valued at 2.417 also the significance value in sig. resulting 0 value which is least than 0.05, therefore there is a simultaneous effect formed by all independent variables that consists of interest rates, promotion and performance.Keywords: consumer interest in loan;interest rates; performances; promotion.

Abstract

Films can be used to send messages, for example, in the form of moral messages contained in a film. The definition of morality in the general Indonesian dictionary is good or bad of aon and a person’s behaviouriourhis shows that morality is part of the term used in conveying the determinants of good and bad human behaviour. The purpose of this study is to determine the meaning and value of the moral message contained in the imperfect film. The design in this study uses the Semiotic Analysis method from Charles Sanders Pierce by taking the constructivism paradigm to see the moral message in the film Imperfect. The results of this study explain that there are several body shaming behaviours, namely physical viewing, ridicule and ridicule and the positive side is the existence of self-respect in religious tolerance, attention, and self-confidence. The conclusion shows that body sharing shaming behaviourhavioubehaviour bullet dbulletsecure so that it is very disturbing mentally, where essence he needs to get self-esteem from respect for himself, others, as well as the environment and life

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of motivation and job satisfaction on the performance of the Food and Drug Supervisory Agency employees in Batam, using a saturated sample of 106 respondents. The method used in collecting data in this study used questionnaire data. The data quality test uses validity and reliability tests, classical assumption tests and influence tests in this study using multiple linear regression analysis and analysis of the coefficient of determination, while in hypothesis testing this study uses t test and f test with the help of SPSS version 25 program. R square test got a score of 51% which states that there is an influence of motivation and job satisfaction on employee performance and the remaining 49% is influenced by other variables outside this study. The results of the multiple linear regression test prove that motivation affects performance with a score of 22% and job satisfaction affects performance with a score of 43.6%. Based on the results of the t-test and f-test, it can be concluded that motivation and job satisfaction have a partially significant effect on employee performance, and motivation and job satisfaction simultaneously have a significant effect on the performance of the Food and Drug Supervisory Agency employees in Batam.

Abstract

Zero to Hero is a biographical film that depicts the life of a paralympic athlete named So Wai Wai. This film tells the story of the struggle of So Wai Wai and his mother who earned the nickname wonder mom, showing how So Wai Wai won her 5 gold medals in the Paralympics and her mother's struggle with her son who was diagnosed with jaundice where he couldn't walk until a miracle happened to him. The purpose of this study was to determine the identity of individual communication in the film Zero to Hero and to determine the meaning of denotation, connotation, and myth in the film Zero to Hero. This type of research is descriptive with a qualitative approach. The result of this research is the meaning of humanity in the film Zero to Hero based on Roland Barthes' semiotic analysis.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of compensation and organizational culture on performance on employee performance at PT Kumala Indonesia Shipyard in Batam City. This study usesquantitative methods. The data is obtained by using numbers and the analysis is using statistical techniques. The data taken for this study were 100 employees at PT Kumala Indonesia Shipyard in Batam City. Data collection was done by using a questionnaire. The data analysis technique used is the analysis of grouping the data based on the variables and types of respondents. This study concludes that compensation and organizational culture affect motivation, compensation and organizational culture affect employee performance, motivation affects employee performance and compensation and organizational culture affects employee performance through motivation as an intervention variable.

Abstract

Policy implementation refers to the stage after a policy is developed and must be implemented. The government and the community must work together to get the best results, namely in the process of transporting, sorting, and managing waste in the community. The purpose of this study is to identify each step in implementing the policy of Regional Regulation No. 11 of 2013 concerning waste management in Batam City, in order to reduce waste pollution. The researcher uses descriptive research method with a qualitative approach and qualitative analysis methods in his research. This research was conducted with the assistance of the Environment Agency, cleaning staff, and community members involved in the waste management process. The process of socialization and education related to good waste management through waste banks and non-governmental organizations that have not been maximized, the strength of the Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBD) is lacking, and public awareness of clean living is the reason it still exists. problem in this case. Researchers assess that the current government policy program has been running well, but is still not ideal, and needs to be evaluated periodically.
