Abstract

In the midst of intense competition, one of the keys to maintaining and keeping up with the company's future is client or customer loyalty. The purpose of this research is to determine the effect of customer relationships and sales promotions on customer loyalty at PT Valco Indosiatec. This study applies a quantitative method by determining a sample of 101 respondents at PT Valco Indosiatec by applying a saturated sample. Questionnaires are used as a technique in collecting data. Data analysis in this study used the SmartPLS 3.0 program. Hypothesis testing with the PLS approach is carried out in two stages, namely testing the outer model and the inner model. The outer model test is carried out to prove the validity and reliability of all indicators for each variable. The inner model test is carried out to test the influence between variables according to the hypotheses previously set. The results showed: customer relationship has an effect on PT Valco Indosiatec's sales promotion, sales promotion has an effect on PT Valco Indosiatec's customer loyalty, customer relationship has an effect on PT Valco Indosiatec's customer loyalty

Abstract

Ojek online berbasis internet, such as Go-jek, can make the populace more modern if theywant to be engaged and help with daily needs. Communication between drivers andpassengers might become strained during the Go-jek delivery process, which makes thesubject eager to carry out this study with the goal of understanding and describing the typeof communication used by the two main government agencies in Kota Batam. Deskriptifkualitatif is the type of analysis that is used. The information in the exhibit is relevant to theactive citizens of Kota Batam. Abstract

This research was conducted to see the influence exerted on consumer purchasing decisions through online customer reviews, online customer ratings, and free shipping promotions. This study used a qualitative approach which is a data processing using the SPSS 22 application. The population in this study were shoppee users in Buliang Village, Batu Aji District, Batam City by taking Unknown Populations as a sample so that 96 respondents were rounded up and 100 people were rounded up. Data collection techniques in this study used multiple linear regression data techniques. The results of this study indicate that online customer reviews have a positive and significant effect on purchasing decisions. Online customer ratings have a positive and significant effect on purchasing decisions. Free shipping promotions have a positive and significant effect on purchasing decisions.

Abstract

Film is a work of art that is produced based on the principle of cinematography and is an auditory communication tool that conveys messages to the audience, be it advice, education, entertainment, and information, by using symbolic forms that exist in humans in the form of messages, dialogue, and body movement. Film can produce various events in people’s daily lives, family life, friendship, love history, and so on. Rach film has a different way of packaging and presenting events or themes that will be assembled into a story based on the ideas converyed by the filmmaker. The film Sejuta Sayang Untuknya, which was released in 2020, tells the story of a single father named Actor Sagala who has to play a double role as a single parent who cares for and support the life of his only daughter, Gina after his wife dies. Working hard to pay for his daughter’s scholling in the midst of a family economic crisis. This study uses Rolland Barthes’s theory which is used to analyze the meaning and signs of affection shown by fathers towards their daughters. The purpose of this research is to understand the expression of a father’s affection for this daughter in life in the film Sejuta Sayang Untuknya.The method used in this study is a qualitative approach with Rolland Barthes semiotic analysis. The data collection technique used in this study was by observing the meaning and signs of a father’s affection obtained from the scenes, the dialogues of each character and analyzing the appearance. Abstract

The provision, distribution, and retail price of subsidized fuel oil are crucial issues inefforts to address energy price instability in Batam City. The enactment of presidentialregulations to govern these aspects is expected to enhance the effectiveness of the fuelsubsidy policy. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the implementation ofpresidential regulations regarding the provision, distribution, and retail price of subsidizedfuel oil in Batam City. The research method employed is descriptive analysis, gatheringdata from primary and secondary sources. The research findings indicate that despite theimplementation of presidential regulations, there are still several obstacles hampering itseffectiveness. Factors such as inadequate infrastructure, consistent scarcity of fuel oilstocks, and logistical constraints pose significant challenges in the provision anddistribution of subsidized fuel oil. Moreover, the retail price of subsidized fuel oil remainsvulnerable to market fluctuations, and some business actors continue to exploit thesubsidy policy for personal gains. The proposed recommendations include improvingsupporting infrastructure, diversifying sources of subsidized fuel oil, and enhancingoversight of regulation implementation. Collaborative efforts among the government,industry, and society are essential to achieve the goal of an effective fuel subsidy policy inBatam City

Abstract

Restorative justice offers an innovative approach to dealing with children in conflict with the law. Children and teenagers must be protected from various dangerous influences that can cause juvenile delinquency and lead to criminal acts. In Indonesia, crimes are punished based on court decisions. However, if it is done to children, it can have a negative impact on their future development. The Restorative Justice approach in the context of theft allows minor perpetrators to understand the consequences of their behavior for the victim. Apart from that, there is the concept of diversion, namely diversion which takes the form of counseling, education or social work to achieve restorative implementation. Restorative Justice allows children as perpetrators, victims and families to sit together to mediate or deliberate to solve and resolve the problem of the child's act of theft. To create peace results from an agreement between the two parties or by means of affirmation against the perpetrator such as returning goods that have been stolen or providing compensation. The research method used is normative legal research. In this research, the main source used is based on Law Number 11 of 2012 concerning the Juvenile Criminal Justice System, and uses other literature, for example journals and books related to this research. Restorative-related research can explore the importance of restorative justice in the context of protecting children involved in the legal system. Through a literature review, this research shows that restorative justice not only provides a more humane alternative in handling crimes against minors but also makes a positive contribution to the process of rehabilitation and reintegration of children into society. Apart from that, it is certainly better than settling through court.

Abstract

This research aims to investigate the influence of service quality and customer satisfaction on customerloyalty at JNT Express Batam branch. The population to be studied are customers who have used the JNTExpress goods delivery service at the Tanjung Piayu branch in August 2023, totaling 60,203 customers. Thesampling technique can be used using the Slovin formula which has produced 397 respondents. The dataanalysis process uses a multiple linear regression approach, which includes testing data quality tests,classical assumption tests, influence tests and hypothesis tests. The results of multiple linear regressionanalysis show that service quality has an influence of 28.4% on customer loyalty. Customer satisfaction hasan influence of 35.0% on customer loyalty. Findings from the coefficient of determination (R2) show thatoverall, service quality and customer satisfaction can explain 65.1% of the variation in customer loyalty. Inaddition, the t test and F test show that both service quality and customer satisfaction have a positive andsignificant influence partially or simultaneously on customer loyalty at JNT Express Batam branch

Abstract

The responsibility of the Indonesian state in protecting the rights of victims of Human Rights Violations committed by Armed Criminal Groups (ACGs) involves various legal, judicial and rehabilitative efforts. Despite concerted action, challenges remain, including limited access to conflict areas, security concerns for investigators and victims, and complicated legal complexities. Improving inter-agency coordination, investing in increasing investigator capacity, and strengthening protection systems are critical to strengthening Indonesia's response to protecting victims of human rights violations. Prioritizing justice, rehabilitation and prevention is the basis for upholding victims' rights while facing complex challenges amidst the dynamics of conflict and security problems.

Abstract

This research examines the existence of criminal justice in providing physical, legal and psychological protection to victim witnesses in criminal cases. The main challenges faced by victim witnesses, including threats, intimidation, and other obstacles, are the focus of this research. The criminal justice system must address this challenge seriously through effective witness protection programs, strict law enforcement against perpetrators of threats, and the provision of adequate psychological support and legal aid. Reforms in the broader criminal justice process also need to be considered to improve justice and protection for victim witnesses. Understanding this issue is important in efforts to maintain the integrity of the legal system and provide better protection for individuals involved in the criminal justice process.   Keywords: existence of criminal justice, victim witness protection, threats, intimidation, obstacles, witness protection program, criminal justice reform.

Abstract

This research explores the legal protection for victims of acts of violence in Indonesia, with a focus on the role of existing legal policies and regulations. Although a legal framework has been established to address violence and protect victims, significant challenges continue to hinder the effectiveness of the victim protection system in the context of violence. This study employs qualitative methods, including interviews and document analysis, to delve into the issues faced by victims and evaluate the applicable policies and regulations. The research results identify the need for increased public awareness of victims' rights, improved law enforcement, and enhanced accessibility to legal assistance and support services. With these measures, it is expected that the victim protection system for acts of violence in Indonesia can be improved, ensuring better protection of victims' rights and interests.   Keywords: Legal protection, victims of acts of violence, legal policies, legal regulations, Indonesia..
