Abstract

purpose of this research is to know and describe the response of Indonesian society based on religion classification against Pancasila as instrument of nation integration. The response of religious people enclosed vision and their attitude to the valves which is implied in Pancasila, the relationship between religion with Pancasila and the function of five principle as instrument for  nation integration. The purpose this research also to know the relationship between religion and Pancasila and then the influence of it for nation integration. This research approximation used  the descriptive qualitative approach with the background of religious people at Surakarta including Hindu, Budha, Islam, Khatolic and Christian. The population of this research were the pious who can give the information of data research. The technique  of sampling applied was non random sampling by purposive sampling. Beside if completed with snowball sampling to get key informan exactly.  The technique of  collecting data used in-dept interview as major technique completed with lesson of literature as a back up.To analysis of data the interactive model of analysis was used. The result of analysis showed in naration in descriptive  qualitative.This research conclude that there was many kind of response from the religious people againts  Pancasila. Their vision againts Pancasila was under influence by the judgement of their believe and knowledge about history of Pancasila. They  acknowledge Pancasila as their own thought parallel with their believe in their religion. Religious people accepted Pancasila as instrument  of nation integration because of the history that proved part of Pancasila as a meeting point between the people before independence. Acknowledgement of  this history was hopefully could be formed as long as they still want the progression of nation-state Indonesia. Pancasila was accepted as the accord agreement from society to be a state living norm.

Abstract

This study was conducted to develop an innovative medium in learning Elementary School-Civic Education (PKn SD) Development course in order to improve the lecturer competency in developing good learning media, improving learning quality, and producing a computer and internet-based media product. The development of innovative media in this study was carried out by utilizing mind map application available in internet. This study was taken place in Elementary School Teacher Education, Pedagogic Faculty, Semarang State University. The subject of research consisted of corresponding students and lecturers. This study was an educational research with research and development approach. The procedure of research included preliminary study with descriptive qualitative approach, media development design, design validation and design improvement, and followed with limited trial on media design by applying experimental method (before-after), and product revision, if any, and final product development. The result achieved in this study was that the author had conducted a preliminary study by mapping competency and indicator into PKn SD Development course and then designed the lecturing learning plan as needed by utilizing the mind map application as learning media. The author had designed an innovative media using mind map application and had the media design validated by the competent validators in their area. The mind map application-based learning media had been tried out in treatment class. The result of test with the data processed by the author showed the following result. 1) The result of pretest and posttest showed significant improvement; it could be seen from the number of correct answer minimally 5 (40%) and maximally 13 (63%) in pre-test result and minimally 16 (80%) and maximally 20 (100%) in posttest result. 2) The result of content quality and objective aspect questionnaire before and after using mind map application showed the ratio of 55%: 89%, with instructional quality aspect of 54% : 88%, and technical quality aspect of 51% : 90%, so that the overall ratio was 54% : 89%. Considering the result of data analysis, it could be found that the mind map application use can be developed further as an innovative learning media utilizing computer technology and informatics technology mastery support. The author organized the result of study into a scientific article to be published and organized a final report as accountability.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe objective of research was to find out: (1) the participation of Village Community Empowerment Institution in implementing Village Development as the Manifestation of Civic Participatory in Blorong Village, Jumantono Sub District and Karanganyar Regency and (2) the factors affecting the participation of Village Community Empowerment Institution in implementing Village Development as the Manifestation of Civic Participatory in Blorong Village, Jumantono Sub District and Karanganyar Regency. This research employed qualitative method with a single embedded case study approach. The data source was obtained from informant, place and event, and documentation. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. Techniques of collecting data used were interview, observation, and document analysis. Data validation was conducted using data and method triangulations. Meanwhile, technique of analyzing data used was an interactive model of analysis encompassing: (1) Data collection, (2) data reduction, (3) data display, and (4) conclusion drawing. The procedure of research included: (1) preparation, (2) data collection, (3) data analysis, and (4) research report writing. Considering the result of research, the following conclusion could be drawn. (1) The participation of Village Community Empowerment Institution in implementing Village Development as the Manifestation of Civic Participatory in Blorong Village is not optimal. It could be seen from its participation in each of stages in the development of Blorong Village from planning, implementation, development and utilization of development results. (2) The participation of Village Community Empowerment Institution in implementing development was affected by factors included: first, allowances for members of LPMD. Second,regulation of LPMD. Third, support from society. Fourth, stranded good communication between LPMD and society. Meanwhile, inhibiting factors included: first, gradual fund issuance. Second, low awareness of LPMD. Third, low trust society to village goverment showed with society?s prejudice and dissenting opinion. Abstract

 This article, the author wanted to explain about the human condition of Indonesia which experienced varying degrees of decadence, thus impacting the development of Indonesia's state-halting. There are two reasons why the Indonesia experience multidimensional problems, namely the existence of the nation's system of cultural values and heritage of colonization negative impact on the people of Indonesia. To overcome this problem, one solution is to use a sociological approach to the culture of the theory of Parsons and Kluckohn Talcot. Although the two are not necessarily theoretically able to answer a wide range of problems that exist in Indonesia, but at least it can be ground.

Abstract

The purpose of this research are: (1) To know how far Computer Based Test able to accommodate the assessment; (2) To know the lacks and obstacles in the implementation of Computer Based Test.This research used a qualitative research approach. This type of research is descriptive qualitative research. Sources of data obtained from informants, places, events and documents. Sampling technique used is purposive sampling. Data collection techniques used to obtain and compile research data is by interview, observation and document analysis. To obtain the validity of the data used data triangulation and triangulation methods. Data analysis technique using an interactive model consists of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The research procedure with the following steps: (1) Preparation, (2) Data Collection, (3) Data Analysis, (4) Preparation of Research Reports.Based on the research results, it can be concluded that (1) Computer Based Test is able to accommodate 4 principles of assessment that is Fair, Objective, Educative and Accountable starting from the earliest stages, namely: (a) the rational and systematic planning process assessment of learners in accordance with the valuation principles applicable ; (b) the preparation of an assessment instrument software into the Computer Based Test consider indicators that have been established in accordance with the operational verb mapping grid in question; (c) Implementation of Computer Based Test as an educative assessment activity and conducted for the interests and progress of learners in learning; (d) result of Computer Based Test presented directly; (2) Lack of Computer Based Test is (a) only able to measure cognitive; (B) effectively accommodate the dimensions factual knowledge and conceptual knowledge but weak in procedural knowledge and metacognition knowledge. Barriers experienced in implementing the evaluation of student learning outcomes using the Computer Based Test divided into two technical constraints, the constraints arising out that related to the tools used; and non-technical constraints, the constraints arising from the personnel of learners in the form of readiness and experience of learners in working on the computer-based test.

Abstract

Ideals of citizenship or civic ideal in Indonesia became one of the demands of the reform movement. One effort that can be done is the revitalization of five principle of Pancasila because he became philosophical basis, the content and purpose of citizenship education. Revitalization of five principle of Pancasila done properly functioning basic position as the state and national ideology that has implications for the three aspects of the philosophical, political and juridical. Abstract

This research aimed to find out (1) the Civic Education teacher?s mastery of Information Technology and Communication (ICT)-based learning media in public junior high schools in Selogiri Sub District; (2) the Civic Education teacher?s awareness of using ICT-based learning media; (3) the attempt taken by headmaster to use the Civic Education teacher?s mastery in using ICT-based learning media; and (4) Civic Education teacher?s pedagogic competency viewed from the mastery of ICT-based learning media in Public Junior High School in Selogiri Sub District.This study employed a qualitative interactive method and qualitative descriptive approach with case study. The data source included informant, place, activity, document with purposive sampling. Techniques of collecting data were interview, observation, and documentation study. To validate the data, data and method triangulations were used. Considering the result of research were: (1) Civic Education teacher?s mastery of ICT-based learning media in public junior high schools in Selogiri Sub District was still low in which Civic Education teacher?s knowledge and ability of using computer, LCD, internet, various information and media, and of dealing with barrier or constraint in using ICT-based learning media were still limited; (2) the Civic Education teacher?s awareness of using ICT-based learning media was still low because the attempt of learning anything related to ICT-based learning media, there had been no personal willingness in using ICT-based learning media, and there had been no willingness and attempt of selecting the ICT-based learning media relevant to Civic Education. (3) The attempts taken by the headmaster to improve the Civic Education teacher?s mastery of ICT-based learning media were moderately and fairly good including providing infrastructure, holding training of ICT, giving moral support /advice/instruction/direction to Civic Education teacher in order to improve the mastery and the utilization of ICT. (4) Civic Education teacher?s pedagogic competency in Public Junior High Schools in Selogiri Sub District was still low viewed from the mastery of ICT-based learning media.

Abstract

In addition to civic knowledge, Project Citizen aims to foster the skills necessary for citizenship kewargangaraan democracy. Various aspects of the program and student interaction with their classmates, government representatives, and non-governmental organizations at the time of intensive research on community problems allows the students have many opportunities to apply the intellectual skills and abilities to participate. Furthermore, through their participation in Project Citizen, students have the opportunity to develop a variety of civic character of a democratic society such as the meaning of political values??, political interests, political tolerance, commitment to the exercise of democratic citizenship, commitment to civic responsibility, commitment to constitutionalism, and the tendency to participate. The characteristics of these traits, which can be developed through Project Citizen, encourage responsible participation and effective by the citizens in a democracy which they run.

Abstract

Reform in 1998 has changed the view of the world to Indonesia. At the time Indonesia was known as a country that has the resilience and a solid integration of the nation. However, it views these claims only studios. Because the nation's unity and unity is built with an iron hand and a threat to anyone who make criticisms to the country. But the characters to form the Indonesian nation must be a better nation that is based on the ideology of Pancasila. Thus, to answer confusion and problematic condition of the nation which Indonesia is the time to make the revitalization of Pancasila.

Abstract

The objectives of research were: 1) to describe the pedagogic competency of civic education?s teacher in building democratic intelligence among the 8th Graders of SMP Negeri 1 Kebakkramat, 2) to explain the factors supporting and inhibiting the Civic Education teacher in building democratic intelligence, and 3) to find out the effect of Civic Education teacher?s pedagogic competency in building democratic intelligence of the 8th Graders of SMP Negeri 1 Kebakkramat. This research employed a qualitative research. Considering the result of research, the following conclusions could be drawn. 1) Civic Education teacher?s pedagogic competency in building democratic intelligence was implemented through teaching-learning activity inside and outside classroom. Teacher?s pedagogic competency included understanding on students, designing the learning, implementing the learning, evaluating the learning and developing the students? potency. 2) The factors supporting Civic Education teacher?s pedagogic competency included school mission, learning time allocation, activity implemented by school, complete learning facility, teacher?s pedagogic competency, and student ability. Meanwhile, the inhibiting factors included: a) internal factors: students were still crowded in learning time and teacher sometimes focused only on transfer of knowledge, b) external factor: family environment and peer?s effect. 4) The effect of Civic Education teacher?s competency included: a) tolerance, respect and appreciating diversity, b) questioning and expressing opinion bravely, c) maintaining togetherness, and d) participating actively.
