Abstract

The increasing number of nursing graduates with limited employment opportunities is a problem in almost all regions in Indonesia. Many work as voluntary nurses with salaries far below the regional minimum wage. Meanwhile, in Japan, the need for nurses as Kaigo Fukushi-shi (Caregiver) is very high. Through the Indonesia-Japan Economic Partnership Agreement (IJ-EPA) an agreement is made to send 1,000 careworkers every year. However, it only succeeded in sending 826 people in a span of 3 years through the G to G program. This study aims to measure the level of differences in the motivation of new graduates of STIKES YARSI Mataram before and after receiving assistance through the Kaigho Fukushi-shi Peer Support System from Alumni. The method used in this research is the Quasy Experiment without a control group with a total sample of 25 people. Obtained a p-value of 0.000 with a motivation value at the positive mean rank of all participants. It can be concluded that there is an influence from the Kaigho Fukushi-shi Peer Support System of the Alumni on the motivation of new graduates to work in Japan. Through this research, it contributes to the institution to be ready to use its graduates to gain experience working in Japan.

Abstract

Hypertension, often referred to as the silent killer, is a deadly disease that often shows no symptoms until it is too late. Understanding the factors that contribute to its incidence is crucial. In this observational cross-sectional study, 263 hypertensive patients aged 45-75 years were examined to determine the influential factors. Using purposive sampling, a sample of 42 respondents was chosen. The independent variables studied were diet and activity patterns, while the dependent variable was the occurrence of hypertension. The statistical analysis was conducted using ordinal regression. The findings revealed that 64.3% of hypertensive patients aged 45-75 years had an improper diet, while 45.2% had poor activity patterns. Grade I hypertension was observed in 40.5% of the respondents. The data analysis indicated a significant influence of diet, activity, and hypertension (p = 0.00 < α = 0.05). Furthermore, the wald value of 17,286 suggested that diet had a greater impact. The study concluded that diet was the most influential factor, emphasizing the importance of avoiding high-cholesterol foods (e.g., fried and coconut milk-based dishes), fatty meats, and high-salt foods (e.g., pickles). These findings highlight the need for individuals to be mindful of their dietary choices to prevent and manage hypertension effectively.

Abstract

Elderly (elderly) is a part of the process of human development. As we get older, physiological functions decrease which causes various health problems. One of the health problems in old age is an increase in blood cholesterol levels. Total cholesterol in the blood increases with the aging process. One way to reduce cholesterol levels is to do ergonomic exercises to restore or correct the position and flexibility of the nervous system and blood flow. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of ergonomic exercises on cholesterol levels in the elderly at LKS Rumah Kasih Jambon. The research design is a quantitative quasy experiment with a one group pretest posttest design approach. The sample in this study were 15 respondents who were given routine ergonomics exercise 4 times a week for 2 weeks. Sampling in this study was carried out in a non-probability way using a purposive sampling technique. The results of the Paired Sample t-test statistic showed that there was an effect of ergonomic exercise on cholesterol levels in the elderly at the Jambon Love Care Center with p value = 0.000 (p <0.05). The results showed that the average blood cholesterol levels before and after the ergonomic exercises were 240.73 mg/dl and 230.40 mg/dl. The difference in cholesterol levels before and after ergonomics exercise was 10.33 mg/dl.

Mental health was still a significant health problem in the world, included in Indonesia. This negative label as a crazy person is unconsciously a self-created stigma, so the impact was that families or the community around people with mental disorders don't want to take care of it so that if allowed to continue, the rights of people with mental disorders will be neglected, for example social rights and the right to treatment. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of video education on social stigma in people with mental disorders. The research design was a one group pre-test-posttest pre-experimental design. The independent variable is video education while the dependent variable is society's stigma towards people with mental disorders. The population is the entire community in RT: 01 RW: 13 in Kediri Tinalan Village, Kediri City, a sample of 43 respondents using a purposive sampling technique. Data collection techniques using a questionnaire. The results showed that before being given treatment, most respondents (65.1%) had a high stigma towards people with mental disorders, namely 28 respondents and after being given treatment, almost all respondents (93.0%) had a low stigma.  Data analysis used the Wilcoxon test with sig value (2-tailed) or pvalue = 0.000 and error rate or = 0.05, so p <, 0.000 <0.05 so H1 is accepted, meaning that there is an effect of video education on social stigma in people with mental disorders souls in the Tinalan Village, Kediri City. It is hoped that the community can add insight and information about stigma on ODGJ so that they can show good attitudes and behavior towards ODGJ.

Abstract

The patient's response time is required ≤ 5 minutes to get help appropriate to the emergency to increase safety. Opportunities can be increased with prompt handling. The tendency for patients treated in the ER to expect quick treatment. Perceptions of delays in treatment can cause patient anxiety. The aim of this research is to analyze the relationship between nurse response time and emergency room patient family anxiety based on triage at RSU Muslimat Ponorogo. This research design is cross sectional with a sample size of 123 respondents. The sampling technique uses purposive sampling. Research questionnaires use questionnaires to test clinical profile correlations. Slow response time will be perceived by the patient's family as having no acceptance or rejection of him and is a factor in increasing anxiety. This will cause an increase in sympathetic nerves which will cause symptoms such as dizziness, shaking, headaches, sweating, and increased pulse rate. From this research data, it shows that the nurse's response time is slow, and the patient's family experiences severe anxiety. Based on the results of the Spearment correlation test, P value = 0.024 (<0.05), which means that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted, which means there is a relationship between nurse response time and patient family anxiety in the emergency room at RSU Muslimat Ponorogo. In each triage, there are differences in the level of anxiety felt by the patient's family. in the green triage most experienced mild anxiety, in the yellow triage most experienced moderate anxiety, in the red triage most experienced severe anxiety and in the black triage the majority experienced very severe anxiety.

Abstract

Malnutrition and stunting are significant issues among economically disadvantaged families in Kediri District, affecting children's health and development. This study assessed the Lumbung Hidup program, which established kitchen gardens and catfish farming to improve nutrition. Using a pre-experimental one-group pre-test post-test design, 22 toddlers with low body weight and stunting were monitored over three months. Pre-test data were collected before, and post-test data after the intervention. The intervention led to significant improvements in nutritional status. Mean weight increased from 11.25 kg (pre-test) to 14.48 kg (post-test 3), and mean height slightly increased from 89.29 cm to 89.98 cm. Paired sample t-tests showed significant enhancements in Z-scores for weight-for-age, height-for-age, and weight-for-height (p < 0.05). The Lumbung Hidup program effectively improved the nutritional status of toddlers from economically disadvantaged families, demonstrating potential for broader implementation to combat malnutrition and stunting.
