Abstract

This study aims to determine whether or not there is a relationship between reading interest and learning outcomes in social studies learning. This type of research is correlational. The population in this study were all fifth grade students of SD Negeri Gugus 3 Kecamatan Bonjol. This study uses Total Sampling with a total sample of 35 students. The instruments of data colletion used is questionnaire. The data analysis technique used by SPSS v16. Computer data analysis techniques consisted of instrument testing, analysis prerequisite test (normality test, linearity test, and hypothesis test).From the data analysis performed the Pearson Correlation value is 0.650 and r table is 0.344 with a significance level of 5%. The results of the calculation show that r count 0.650 > r table 0.344. The significance value obtained is 0,000 < 0,05. It can be concluded that reading interest has a strong / high relationship with social studies learning outcomes of fifth grade students of SD Negeri Gugus 3 Kecamatan Bonjol. Keywords: reading interest, learning outcomes, social studies.

Abstract

The research was due to the fact that the school had not yet used the demonstration method so that students' learning outcome was low. The research aimed at describing the learning of science in the elementary school level. The design research of the research was a mixing of quantitative and qualitative. The research on the first cycle during the planning phase was 68%. On the second cycle the number increased to 88%. From the teacher's aspect on the first cycle was 70% while on the second cycle became 89%. Moreover, from the students' aspect on the first cycle was 65% while on the second cycle became 85%. Abstract

The purpose of this research was to describe the improvement of students’ learning outcomes in learning natural science by using inquiry learning strategy in the fourth grade. This was a classroom action research which applied qualitative and quantitative approaches. The subject of the research was teacher and 15 students. The students’ average score improve from 68,26 (adequate) in the first cycle into 76,49 (adequate) in the second cycle. It means the inquiry learning strategy successfully improves the students’ outcomes in learning natural science in the fourth grade of Elemantary School.Keywords : inquiry learning strategy

Abstract

The low learning outcomes of students in learning Civics in fourth grade students of SD Negeri 16 Campago Ipuh City Bukittinggi is caused by teacher-centered learning. The purpose of this study is to describe the improvement of learning outcomes in learning Civics by menngunakan cooperative learning model type two stay two stray in elementary school. This type of research is PTK by using qualitative and quantitative approach. Subject of this research is teacher and fourth grader of SDN 16 Campago Ipuh City Bukittinggi. The results of the research showed that in the first cycle the students' learning outcomes were 69.5% with sufficient qualification, increased in cycle II to 83% with good qualification. So it can be concluded that the use of Cooperative Learning Model Type Two Stay Two Stray in learning Civics can improve learning outcomes in fourth grade students of SD Negeri 16 Campago Ipuh City Bukittinggi.  Keywords: Learning Outcomes, Civics, Cooperative Learning Type Two Stay Two Stray.

Abstract

1 This study aims to determine whether the effect of probem - based learning model is significant on the student’ learning outcomes  of  sosial subject. The type of research is quantitative research. This research employed an experimental research of True experimental design. The research design in the Pretest-Posttest ControlDesign Group.Based on the pretest conducted in the experimental class, the average score of the student is 64.75 while score of the control 64,90. After the posttest was given to both classes, the average score obtained by the experimental class is 80,0 whilethe average scoreof the control 74.55. the hypthesis testing obtainet a tcountof 3.54 and ttableof 2.02 with α = 0.05, which means that tcount ttable. Therefore,it is concluded that Problem - Based Learning mode has a significant effect on the student’ Learning outcomes of  sosial science subject in Grade V of  Elementary school Number 13 Parit Putus, Ampek angkek Sub-district, Agam district.  Keyword :PBL Model,Learning outcome IPS

Abstract

This study aims to describe the results of the Improvement of the Ability of Understanding the Concept of Inter-Class Relationship Using the Discovery Learning Model in Grade IV of Elementary School. This type of research is PTK using quantitative and quantitative. The research subjects were teachers and 25 students. The results showed that: (1) the average RPP ranking of the first cycle was 85.7% to 94.6% in the second cycle with an increase of 8.9%, (2) the results of the curriculum aspects of the first cycle 78.1% to 92, 2% in the second cycle with an increase of 14.1%, and the results of student competency assessment 78.1% to 92.2% in the second cycle with an increase of 14.1%, (3) the results of the ability to understand the concepts of students in cycle I 66 , 4 to 86.2 in the second cycle with an increase of 19.8%. Keywords: Discovery Learning, Concept Understanding Ability

Abstract

The aim of this research is to describe the improvement of students’ learning result in the civic subject by using the STAD Model for 5th grade students. The subjects of this research were the researcher herself and 20 students. This classroom action research used qualitative and quantitative approaches. The result shows that in planning phases there is improvement from 76,12 in cycle I to 93,5 in cycle II. Teachers’ aspect improves from 68,74 in cycle I to 91,66 in cycle II. students’ aspect improves from 68,74 in cycle I to 91,66 in cycle II. furthermore, the improvement also can be seen from students’ learning result that improves from 76,12 in cycle I to 93,5 in cycle II. Abstract

This research is motivated by student learning outcomes are still low because the teacher has not invited students to find problems related to learning, the teacher has not maximally involved the ability of students to find information, data and facts needed to answer a problem. The purpose of this study is to describe the improvement of student learning outcomes by using the model of problem based learning in Class IV SD 14 Gadut Agam. This research uses qualitative and quantitative approaches. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (CAR). The research subjects were 18th grade students of SD Negeri 14 Gadut, Agam Regency. The study was conducted in two cycles. The research design includes, (1) planning, (2) implementation, (3) observation / observation, and (4) reflection. The results showed that there was an increase in: a) RPP cycle I with an average of 76.75% (enough), cycle II with an average of 85.7% (good), b) implementation on aspects of the first cycle teacher obtained an average of 72.91% (enough), cycle II obtained an average of 95% (very good), c) implementation of the aspects of students in the first cycle with an average of 70% (enough), cycle II obtained an average of 85% (good ), d) student learning outcomes in the first cycle obtained an average percentage of 75.94% (enough), the second cycle obtained an average percentage of 85.28% (good). So it can be concluded that learning science by using a model of problem based learning can improve student learning outcomes in grade IV SD 14 Gadut Agam. Abstract

This research of background that study of IPS in Class IV SDN 05 Pasar Baru Kecamatan Bayang Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan, teacher still predominate study process and not yet entangled student participation. The condition result to lower result of learning student. Therefore done conducted by research with aim to to increase result of learning IPS by using Type Problem Based Learning. This Research use Approach qualitative and is quantitative, while research type that is Research of Action Class PTK with research device cover, (1) planning, (2) execution, (3) perception, and (4) refleksi. This Research data in the form of information about result of perception to planning, execution, and result learn student. Result of research be a grow up result of RPP, execution, and result learn student. Become can be concluded that study of IPS by using Type Problem Based Learning can improve result learn IV SDN class student 05 Pasar Baru Kecamatan Bayang Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan.  Kata Kunci: Hasil Belajar Siswa, Pembelajaran IPS, Model Problem Based Learning (PBL).
