This study aims to determine the description of the influence of think-pair-share learning models on students' mathematical self-efficacy. The subjects of this study were IPS class X students in one of the high schools in Makassar. Taking the subject was done by giving a questionnaire test to students of class X IPS 3, then from these results 6 research subjects are chosen based on existing categories. The instrument used was a self-efficacy questionnaire containing 21 items that corresponded to the dimensions of self-efficacy and lesson plans that were in accordance with the syntax of the think-pairshare learning model. The results of the study showed that self-efficacy of the high category subjects had a good effect. That is because both subjects already have high strength, level, and magnitude dimensions. For self-efficacy, the medium category subject, after giving questions that were not too difficult at the initial meeting and different discussion processes, was able to influence their level dimensions. As for self-efficacy, it is low, because of the motivation given by the teacher and the success of them friends, the strength dimension and level experienced significant changes. However, because both subjects have inability to express opinions even though they have completed the task, so the generality dimension does not experience significant changes. The results of this study to give information about the effect of students' self-efficacy during the learning process so that in the learning process, teachers can help students understand the lessons according to their self-efficacy.

This research is classroom-action research, which aims to increase both pupils' activity and achievement in mathematics. The subjects of this research is the students of class VIII which consisted of 30 students. Technique of collecting data using instrument: (1) pre-test, (2) observation sheet of teacher activity, (3) observation sheet of students activity, and (4) the learning outcome test. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis and descriptive analysis. The results show that (1) teacher activity increased, (2) students activity increased, (3) the average of students mathematics learning achievementare above the value of minimal criteria with a classical completeness level of 86,67%. From the research result can be concluded that the implementation of problem-based learning modeleith differentiation learning strategies can improve student learning achievement of class VIII.

The purpose of the research was to describe students’ mathematical communication abilities based on their levels of self-confidence in topic of statistics. The subjects were 3 students of class XI SMK in Soppeng. They were one student with high self-confidence (KDT), one student with medium selfconfidence (KDS) and one student with low self-confidence (KDR). The results showed that (1) KDT communicate mathematical ideas in diagrams better than others. KDT analyze and explain mathematical ideas in detail. KDT could write and give clear reasons; (2) KDS could communicate mathematical ideas in diagrams, but in determining the interval of values used, KDS could not do it correctly. KDS could analyze and explain ideas orally but unable to explain strategies used in making diagrams orally. KDS could not answer with complete information but could provide reasons; (3) KDR could communicate mathematical ideas in diagrams, but in determining the interval of values used, KDR could not do it correctly. KDR was less able to analyze mathematical ideas and unable to explain the strategies used in making diagram. KDR had been able to write answer but not able to give reasons.

This research is a qualitative descriptive research that aims to describe the ability of problem solving mathematically viewed from the early ability of mathematics and gender differences. The subjects of this study were six students. The six students were selected based on the Mathematics Ability test scores divided into high, medium, and low categories with two men each and one woman representing each level of math skills on SPLDV material by taking the highest grades from each capability category. The six subjects were given the Mathematical Problem Solving Ability Test I and the Mathematics Problem Solving Ability Test II at different times. Data analysis techniques using qualitative analysis. The results of this study indicate that: (1) Indicators mention things that are known and questioned by all subjects, (2) Indicators to make problem-solving plans from things known for problem solving are shared by all subjects, (3) Indicators carry out problem solving through a plan that has been made owned by all subjects, (4) Indicators of re-examination of existing answers owned by all subjects.

This study aims to show the effect of the use of virtual Learning Management System (LMS), namely schoology, on the mathematical disposition of students in learning mathematics. This research is classified as quasi experiment, which involves two classes given different treatments, the first class is treated using a virtual learning management system using schoology with a Blended Learning learning model and called an experimental class, while the second class is taught using a model direct teaching and is called the control class. The population in this study were all students majoring in class XI in one of the state high schools in Makassar. Sampling in this study using purposive sampling technique. For data collection, the instruments used were a mathematical disposition questionnaire (pre-test and posttest) and an observation sheet of the implementation of learning. The data was analyzed with descriptive statistical techniques and inferential statistics. The results of the study prove that the virtual learning management systems based schoology with blended learning models towards mathematical dispositions is better than direct teaching models.

This is a descriptive research which depicts essentially the object and explains more detail and systematic about students’ conceptual understanding on fraction material towards the students who have a visual-studying style. The subject was a student who had a visual style. The subject was selected based on the questionnaire which was deployed in a class, which consists of 32 pupils. In the process, there were 3 steps; first, giving information about the goal of research and once in a while giving the questionnaire of studying style. Second, giving the test and doing observation step. Third, doing interview in order to know more information about how the pupils answer the problems on the test. The used instruments werequestionnairre of studying style, test of fraction-concept compehention, and interview outlines. The result of this research showed that a student accostumed to visual learning style was sufficiantly able to meet two out of five indicators demand which had been determined.

This research was the class action research that have the purpose to increase activities and mathematics learning result in the class VII.4 SMP Negeri 1 Tanete Riaja through the use of the media three dimension books with model of cooperative learning. The subject of this research is a class VII.4 SMP Negeri 1 Tanete Riaja with 27 people the number of students enrolled in academic year 2017/2018. This research was conducted within 2 cycles, the first cycle with 3 times and the second cycle with 4 times. In the implementation of learning with the use of three dimension books is an act that provided students to improve mathematics learning outcomes of students. The collect data were analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively. From the analysis it can be concluded that the results of students from class VII.4 junior high school of Tanete Riaja increased from cycle I to cycle II. After learning to use the three dimension books medium for two cylce of learning, obtained the following results: (1) The mathematics learning in the first cycle is at low categories, with an average score of 55,55. Highest score is 75 and lowest score is 15 of the maximum possible score is 100 with a standart deviation of 14,299. (2) The results of mathematics learning in the second cycle is the high category with an average 70,00. Highest score is 87,5 and lowest score is 35 of the maximum possible score is 100 with standart deviation of 14,839. (3) the qualitative analysis the changes occuring in the attitudes of students during the learning process in accordance with the observation that with the implementation of the learning model by using the three dimension books medium can increase interest in student learning and increase student attendance.

The research is a qualitative study using a descriptive method that aims to determaine students’ creativity in solving TIMSS-based questions the cognitive domain. The subjects in this study were six students from the VIII C class of SMPN 2 Barombong. The research’s subject is based on the mathematical ability result of the VIII C class. Then, the result is divides students into two categories of mathematical ability: students with high and low abilities. The researcher used the creativity test and interview guidelines to collect the data. The result of this study indicates that (1) the subject in the cognitive domain of applying algebraic content, high initial abilities meet the aspects of fluency and flexibility. Which meant that obtained creative thinking ability level 3 (creative); (2) the subject in the cognitive domain of applying algebraic content, low initial abilities do not meet the aspects of fluency, flexibility, and novelty. Which meant that obtained creative thinking ability level 0 (not creative); (3) the subject n the cognitive domain of reasoning algebraic content that high initial abilities meet the aspect of flexibility. Which meant that obtain creative thinking ability level 2 (creative enough); (4) the subjects in the cognitive domain of reasoning algebraic content that low initial abilities do not meet the aspects of fluency, flexibility, and novelty. Which meant that obtained creative thinking ability level 0 (not creative).

This research is qualitative research with a descriptive approach, aiming to identify mathematical communication skills based on mathematical disposition in straight-line equation matter. The subject of this research are students of class VIII who represent each category of mathematical disposition that is high, medium, and low. Data collection techniques are done by giving questioner, tests, and interviews. The results showed that all students in each disposition category were able to write solutions systematically and were able to use mathematical symbols appropriately. However, DMR students are less able to understand the problem so there is a mistake in solving it. The difference in students' abilities can be seen from the ability to graph. DMT students draw graphs precisely. Meanwhile, DMS students draw inappropriate graphs. As for the subject, DMR students are not able to draw a solution graph of the problem.

This study aims to describe students’ errors in solving questions of quadratic equation. This research type is descriptive research using qualitative approach. The subject of this research is 3 students of grade XI SMK Negeri in Makassar who were selected based on the number of errors experienced in solving questions of quadratic equation. Data collection techniques used in this study is diagnostic test and interview methods then through three stages of data analysis namely data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The results obtained that the types of errors experienced by students in solving quadratic equation included conceptual error, principle error, and calculation error. This was because the low of students’ prerequisite knowledge about number operations, students didn’t understand about finding the roots of quadratic equation by completing the perfect square, students didn’t understand the abc formula to finding the roots of quadratic equation, and students inaccurate using arithmetic operations.
