Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the implementation of the Project Based Learning (PBL) learning model in improving student learning outcomes in the Isra' Mi'raj material in the subject of Islamic Cultural History (SKI) class XB MAN 3 Blitar. PBL was chosen as a learning model because it is considered capable of increasing student activity and creativity through projects that are relevant to the subject matter. The research method used is classroom action research (CAR) which is carried out in two cycles. Each cycle consists of 1 of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects of the 2 studies were 30 students of class XB MAN 3 Blitar. Data were collected through learning outcome tests, observation of student activities, and project documentation. The results showed that the implementation of the PBL model succeeded in improving student learning outcomes in the Isra' Mi'raj material. This can be seen from the increase in the average score of student learning outcome tests from cycle I to cycle II. In addition, student activity and creativity in the learning process also increased. Students appear more enthusiastic and active in working on the projects given. The conclusion of this study is that the implementation of the PBL model is effective in improving student learning outcomes in the Isra' Mi'raj material of the SKI subject for class XB MAN 3 Blitar. The PBL model can be an interesting and effective learning alternative to improve students' understanding of the subject matter.

Abstract

This study aims to improve students' learning outcomes in understanding and practicing prayer procedures through direct practice methods in class V of SDN 101024 Sigoring-goring. This study is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles, where each cycle consists of stages of planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects of this study were 10 students of class V of SDN 101024 Sigoring-goring. Data were collected through observation, evaluation tests, interviews, and documentation, then analyzed using quantitative and qualitative analysis techniques. The results showed that the application of the direct practice method significantly improved student learning outcomes. Before the action, only 20% of students achieved the Minimum Completion Criteria (KKM). After cycle I, the completion increased to 60%, and in cycle II it reached 90%. In addition, this method also increased students' motivation and active participation in learning. Based on the results of the study, the direct practice method proved effective in improving students' understanding and skills in prayer procedures. Therefore, this method can be used as a learning strategy that can be applied in Islamic religious education, especially in practical materials.

Abstract

Instilling the values ​​of monotheism from an early age is an important aspect in the formation of children's character and morals. One method that can be used in the learning process is the group discussion method. This method provides an opportunity for children to actively participate, develop understanding, and strengthen the concept of monotheism through interaction with peers and educators. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the group discussion method in efforts to instill the values ​​of monotheism in early childhood at RA Az-Zahra. The research approach used is qualitative with a descriptive method. Data collection techniques are carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation. The subjects of the study were teachers and students at RA Az-Zahra. The results of the study showed that the group discussion method was effective in improving children's understanding of the concept of monotheism, such as knowing Allah as God Almighty, understanding His greatness through His creations, and instilling an attitude of gratitude and prayer. Group discussions allow children to express their thoughts, listen to the opinions of their friends, and gain a deeper understanding through concrete examples given by the teacher. In addition, this method also helps in building children's self-confidence and improving their communication skills. However, the effectiveness of this method is highly dependent on the active role of the teacher in guiding the discussion and creating a conducive and enjoyable learning environment for children. Thus, the group discussion method can be used as one of the effective learning strategies in instilling the values ​​of monotheism in early childhood. The implication of this study is the importance of improving teacher skills in managing group discussions and developing learning materials that are appropriate to the child's developmental stage. It is hoped that this method can continue to be applied and developed in Islamic religious learning at the early childhood education level.

Abstract

Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning has an important role in shaping the character and morals of students. However, the lack of interest and motivation in learning students often becomes an obstacle in achieving optimal learning goals. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of using interactive videos in increasing students' interest and motivation in learning PAI subjects at MA Al-Hidayah Makassar. The research method used is classroom action research (CAR) with a qualitative and quantitative approach. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and questionnaires given to students and analyzed using descriptive techniques. The results of the study showed that the use of interactive videos was able to significantly increase students' interest and motivation in learning. This is indicated by increased student activity in the learning process, higher enthusiasm in following the material, and increased understanding of the religious concepts taught. Interactive videos provide a more interesting and enjoyable learning experience than conventional methods such as lectures and discussions. In addition, the use of this media also allows students to learn independently and repeat the material according to their needs. Thus, the use of interactive videos can be an innovative solution in PAI learning to increase student engagement and learning effectiveness. Therefore, it is recommended for educators to integrate technology in the learning process in order to create a more interesting learning environment and support the achievement of student competencies to the maximum.

Abstract

This study aims to improve student learning outcomes in moral material through the application of the role playing method at MTs Ma'arif NU 1 Ajibarang. The role playing method was chosen because it provides a more interactive learning experience, allowing students to understand and internalize moral concepts through direct practice. This study uses a quantitative approach with a classroom action research (CAR) design consisting of two cycles. Each cycle includes planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects of the study were 30 grade VIII students. Data were collected through observation, learning outcome tests, and interviews. The results showed that the role playing method significantly improved students' understanding and learning outcomes in moral material. In the first cycle, the average student score increased compared to before the application of this method, but there were still some obstacles in the active involvement of students. In the second cycle, after improvements were made to the implementation strategy, student learning outcomes increased more significantly, with most students achieving scores above the Minimum Completion Criteria (KKM). In addition, this method also increases student motivation and activeness in the learning process. The conclusion of this study is that the application of the role playing method is effective in improving student learning outcomes in moral material. This method can be used as an alternative in learning, especially in materials that require an understanding of moral and social values.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) method in improving students' critical thinking skills in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning at SD Negeri 24 Banda Aceh. Critical thinking skills are essential competencies in 21st-century education, including in PAI learning which not only emphasizes cognitive aspects, but also understanding and applying religious values ​​in everyday life. The PBL method places students as the center of learning by presenting contextual problems that encourage exploration, analysis, and problem solving independently and collaboratively. This study used a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design. The research sample consisted of two groups of fifth-grade students, namely the experimental group using the PBL method and the control group using the conventional method. Data were collected through critical thinking tests, observations, and interviews. The results showed that students taught using the PBL method experienced a significant increase in critical thinking skills compared to the control group. In addition, this method also increases students' active participation, learning motivation, and conceptual understanding of PAI material. These findings indicate that the application of PBL in PAI learning can be an effective strategy to develop students' critical thinking skills from an early age. Therefore, teachers are advised to integrate PBL in learning planning to create a more meaningful and relevant learning experience for students.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of the Jigsaw cooperative learning model on students' understanding of Islamic History material at MI An Nafiiyah 2. The research method used is quantitative with a quasi-experimental design. The research sample consisted of two classes, namely the experimental class using the Jigsaw model and the control class using conventional methods. The research instruments were in the form of comprehension and observation tests. The results of the study showed that the application of the Jigsaw cooperative learning model had a positive effect on students' understanding. Students who learned with the Jigsaw model showed a higher increase in understanding scores compared to students who learned with conventional methods. This is due to the active interaction between students in small groups that allows them to share information and strengthen conceptual understanding. In addition, the Jigsaw model also improves students' social skills and activeness in the learning process. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the Jigsaw cooperative learning model is effective in improving students' understanding of Islamic History material. Therefore, it is recommended for educators to apply this model as an alternative in teaching Islamic History in order to create more interactive and meaningful learning.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the use of digital media in enhancing students' understanding of Fiqh subjects at MIS Hidayatut Thowalib. In the digital era, integrating technology into education has become increasingly essential to improve the effectiveness of the teaching and learning process. This research employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data were collected through observations, interviews, and documentation involving teachers and students who participated in Fiqh lessons using digital media. The findings indicate that the use of digital media, such as educational videos, interactive presentations, and learning applications, significantly enhances students' comprehension of Fiqh concepts. The visual appeal and interactivity of digital media make it easier for students to grasp abstract concepts in Fiqh. Moreover, students become more motivated to learn and actively engage in classroom discussions. However, challenges such as limited internet access and teachers’ lack of technological proficiency hinder the optimal use of digital media in learning. Overall, this study demonstrates that digital media positively impact students' understanding of Fiqh lessons. Therefore, teacher training in integrating technology into teaching and improved supporting facilities are necessary to maximize the benefits of digital media in education.

Abstract

Islamic Religious Education (PAI) has an important role in shaping students' religious attitudes. However, in practice, PAI learning is often still theoretical and does not provide direct experience to students, resulting in a lack of internalization of religious values ​​in everyday life. To overcome this problem, the Experiential Learning method is applied in PAI learning to improve students' religious attitudes at MTs Nurul Wathan Pungkat. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the application of the Experiential Learning method in improving students' religious attitudes. The research method used is classroom action research (CAR) with a qualitative and quantitative approach. The subjects of this study were grade VIII students at MTs Nurul Wathan Pungkat. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. The data obtained were analyzed descriptively qualitatively and quantitatively using simple statistical analysis techniques. The results of the study showed that the application of the Experiential Learning method in PAI learning was able to significantly improve students' religious attitudes. This can be seen from the increase in students' understanding of the teaching material, active involvement in learning, and changes in attitudes that are more positive in carrying out worship and interacting socially. Experiential learning such as worship practices, simulations, reflective discussions, and visits to places of worship have proven to be more effective than conventional methods that tend to be lecture-based. In addition, this study also found that students are more motivated to learn when they are given the opportunity to directly experience the religious values ​​taught. Teachers also feel the benefits of this method, because they can more easily instill Islamic values ​​contextually and applicatively. Obstacles in implementing the Experiential Learning method include time constraints, inadequate facilities, and teacher readiness in designing experiential learning. However, these obstacles can be overcome with careful planning and collaboration between teachers, students, and schools. Thus, the Experiential Learning method can be used as an alternative in Islamic Religious Education learning to improve students' religious attitudes. The implications of this study indicate that experiential learning can have a broader positive impact in shaping the character of religious students. Therefore, it is recommended that this method be applied more often in the Islamic Religious Education learning process at various levels of education, with optimal support from schools and related stakeholders.

Abstract

Improving the quality of learning the Qur'an is a major concern in Islamic education, especially in the memorization aspect. Effective learning methods are needed to help students memorize the verses of the Qur'an more easily and enjoyably. One method that can be applied is mind mapping, which connects the main concepts in the form of mind map visualization. This study aims to analyze the application of the mind mapping method in improving memorization of the verses of the Qur'an at MI Faqihul Ilmi. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data were obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation of students and educators at MI Faqihul Ilmi. The results of the study showed that the application of mind mapping can improve students' understanding and memory of the verses of the Qur'an. By using a combination of colors, images, and relationships between concepts, students find it easier to memorize and understand the meaning of the verses being studied. In addition, this method also increases students' learning motivation because it is more interactive than conventional memorization methods. The results of this study indicate that the use of mind mapping in learning to memorize the Qur'an at MI Faqihul Ilmi has a positive impact on the effectiveness of student memorization. Therefore, this method is recommended to be applied more widely in learning the Qur'an, both at the MI level and other Islamic educational institutions. Further research can be conducted to examine the effectiveness of this method in the long term and its application in various levels of education.
