Abstract

Abstract:There are several definitions about value, most of them define value as a principle, standard, orquality considered worthwhile or desirable. Value differs from moral, although both speak aboutgood and bad, right and wrong, should and shouldn’t. Moral is stronger than value; peopleusually judge others more strongly on morals than values. Value also differs from character.Character is the complex of mental and ethical traits marking and often individualizing a person,group, or nation. So to say, character education is not the same as value education. There arethree stages or periods of value development, i.e. the imprint period, the modeling period, andthe socialization period. The traditional model of values education has placed greater emphasison the content of values instead of on the valuer, the one choosing and acting on the values. Inthe humanistic model, however, there is a shift. The stress is from content- to process-based,values- to valuer-focused and teacher- to student-centred orientation. Socio-culturalenvironment is the great value educator for the children. Recently we need more moralisticmodels performed by public figures.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan di STKIP PGRI Pacitan. Subjek penelitiannya adalah mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Matematika tingkat I semester ke 1 (pertama). Tujuannya, untuk memperbaiki proses belajar mengajar (perkuliahan) dan meningkatkan semangat kerja sama dalam pemecahan masalah distribusi frekuensi. Hasil penelitian; 1) terjadi peningkatan keaktifan dalam pelaksanaan proses belajar mengajar pada bahasan Distribusi frekuensi Mata Kuliah Statistik dengan menggunakan pembelajaran model gotong-royong teknis two stay two tray; 2) dalam proses belajar mengajar bahasan Industri dengan menggunakan pembelajaran model gotong-royong; 3) prestasi belajar terjadi peningkatan dengan adanya siklus 1 yang lebih dari 70 ada 23 mahasiswa pada siklus ke 2 menjadi 34 mahasiswa atau dari 51,10 % menjadi 75,60 % atau naik 24,50 %

Abstract

This study aims to describe about some of the following: (1) the material of character educationbased Islam in social studies learning, (2) the pattern of implementation of character education in theSMP-1 Kedung Banteng, (3) unification of the Islamic faith-based character education in social studieslearning and (4) the effect of the implementation of character education based Islamic in social studieslearning. Methods of data collection was done by using interviews, documentation, and interviews.Methods of data analysis done with descriptive qualitative approach. Withdrawal of a conclusion basedon the results of the analysis and discussion with respect to the themes underlying problems or things thatare more substantive. Based on the discussion of the results obtained some conclusions as follows: (1)teaching materials relevant to the Islamic-based character education, and need to be taught to students,at least include a few subjects, namely: (a) the nature of man as a creature of God, (b ) devotion andrespect for parents, (c) respect for others, (d) behave in manners, (e) helping each other with each other,(f) exemplary, (g) of academic honesty and non-academic, (h) responsibility, (i) justice, (j) spirit ofpatriotism, leadership, integrity of the Unitary Republic of Indonesia, and the Pancasila, and (k) thecharacter of a religious nation, (2) the pattern of the implementation of character education in schools beintegrated between intracurricular and extracurricular activities. And the role of principal is veryimportant, (3) of Unification-based implementation of character education based of Islamic religion inthe teaching of Social Science in school SMPN-1 Kedung Banteng showed that all respondents(principals, teachers, staff, and administrators OSIS) states have a positive and highly important, andneed to be incorporated into the curriculum, and (4) Implementation Character Education based Islamicreligion in the learning process in the IPS to the character students of SMP-1 Kedung Banteng has apositive and significant influence.

Abstract

Penelitian ini termasuk penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Subjek padapenelitian ini adalah mahasiswa semester dua Program Studi Pendidikan Matematika STKIP PGRIPacitan, tahun 2012. Teknik yang digunakan dalam pengambilan subjek adalah purposive sampling.Identifikasi terjadinya miskonsepsi dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik Certainly of Response Index(CRI) yang dikembangkan oleh Saleem Hasan. Sedangkan identifikasi gaya belajar mahasiswa dilakukandengan menggunakan angket gaya belajar mahasiswa. Analisis data hasil penelitian ini dilakukan denganmenggunakan model Miles dan Huberman.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa proporsi gaya belajar subyek penelitian adalah 75%mahasiswa mempunyai gaya belajar visual, 19% dengan gaya belajar kinestetik, dan 6% auditorial.Proporsi miskonsepsi didominasi sub pokok bahasan kekongruenan (88%), selanjutnya ciri-ciri habisdibagi (47%), pengkongruenan linier (44%), dan persamaan linier diophantus sebesar 40%. Mahasiswadengan gaya belajar auditorial lebih banyak mengalami miskonsepsi pada materi kekongruenan (80 %),demikian juga pada gaya belajar visual (90%), dan kinestetik (82%). Sedangkan pada materi ciri-cirihabis dibagi, pengkongruenan linier, dan persamaan linier diophantus, berturut-turut untuk gaya belajarauditorial (60%, 60%, 40%), gaya belajar visual (54%, 45%, 43%), dan gaya belajar kinestetik (18%,35%, 29. Miskonsepsi pada mahasiswa dengan semua gaya belajar lebih banyak disebabkan reasoningyang tidak lengkap atau salah dan simplifikasi. Kemampuan pada mahasiswa juga penyebab miskonsepsipada gaya belajar visual dan kinestetik, sedangkan intuisi yang salah menjadi salah satu penyebabmiskonsepsi pada gaya belajar auditorial dan kinestetik.

Abstract

Abstract:This research is a classroom action research (CAR) of 2 cycles qualitative approach. The purpose ofthis research is to improve the students’ achievement and interest in learning statistics. The target tobe achieved is 85% of the students that are complete in the classical study. The data collection usedis tests, questionnaires and the process of learning is by observation. In the first cycle, there is asignificant increase, although not reaching the target, from an average value of 68.8 to be 80 andthere is also an increase of interest from 40% to be 70%. After the improvement of the learningprocess, there is a significant increase in the second cycle, from an average value of 80 to be 95 andthere is also an increase of interest from 70% to be 85%. From the result above, it was concludedthat computer software-assisted learning using CTL approach can improve students’ achievementand learning interest of the fourth semester students of IKIP PGRI Bojonegoro in the academic year2012/2013.

Abstract

This study aims to obtain a description of poetic influence from Sutardji Calzoum Bachri toward WidiNugrahani poetry. It includes sound, typography, diction, and theme. It is a qualitative research usingstructural approach. This research uses textual theory as the main method. Intertextual theory assumesthat a literature will have an existence if it gets the meaning, interpretation, and response from thereaders. In the intertextual context , poet or writer is also as a reader, the expert reader. The resultsshowed that Widi Nugrahani poetry consisting of Suratan Tangan, Paraf, Dua Tanda Kemenangan,Sendagu (Sendagurau) has intertextual relationship with Sutardji Calzoum Bachr poetry. From the poeticintertextual relations, it can be revealed that the poetry of Widi Nugrahani strengthen the aestheticsdeveloped by Sutardji Calzoum Bachri.

Abstract

This research has purpose to determine which one providing better learning achievement between direct instruction learning with song and direct instructionlearning without song. In this research, students’ learning achievementis limited to the fourth grade teaching material of elementary schoolin circumference and area of parallelogram. The result of this research produces songsare consisting of circumference, area of parallelogram, and triangle teaching materials. This research is conducted to all elementary schools in Laweyan. Two schools are randomly taken as the samples, and then one class is taken from each school, therefore thereare two classes. The first sample as the experiment class (direct instruction learning with song) and the second sample as the control class (direct instruction learning without song). The research is quasi-eksperimental research. The research methods used are test and documentation method. The research data analysis is using t-test. Based on the resultof the research is obtained t = -2,198 DK, then H0 is subtracted. Therefore it can be conclude that there are differences mathematic learning achievement between direct instruction learning with song and direct instruction learning without song. If it is observed on the average, learning achievement of direct instruction learning with song is better than direct instruction learning without song

Abstract

Abstract

This research is kind of quasi-experimental research by 3x4 factor design. The population of this research is all students of class VII at the States Junior High School (SMP Negeri) in Pacitan Regency of 2011/2012 academic year. The data collection was done using questionnaire, test, and documentation techniques. The problem solving ability is tested with essay test, while the personality type identified with a questionnaire. Data analysis using varians analysis (Anava) with different cells size. The conclusions of this research were: (1) GI and TAPPS provide better problem-solving ability than the conventional learning model on students in junior class VII Pacitan academic year 2011/2012. However, among students with GI learning models and TAPPS learning models, have the same problem-solving abilities, (2) students with artisan type or rational type has better problem solving ability better students with idealist or guardian type. However, both the students with artisan and rational type have the same problem-solving abilities. Learners with idealist and guardian types also have the same problem-solving ability, (3a) in the class using the GI and TAPPS learning model, problem-solving abilities of students with artisan or rational personality type is better when compared to problem-solving abilities of students with guardian or idealist personality type. Eventhough, in a class that uses conventional learning models, all groups of personality types have the same problem-solving ability, and (3b) for artisan or rational personality, GI and TAPPS provide better problem-solving ability than the conventional learning model. The inconclusion all learning models give the same problem solving abilities for idealist or guardian personality type.

Abstract

As a part of the culture, folklore is important to be documented and studied. The folklore of south coast Pacitan, is still prevalent nowadays. Although it is not all documented, an effort of the research has to be conducted. Beside as an effort of conserving it, the research is also very important to reveal another side of the story. Based on the reason, the study is conducted to reveal the mindset as well as the culture system of the past society reflected in folklore. This study uses the theory of narrative structure of Levi 's Strauss . The method used is a qualitative method approach using anthropology. The data used comes from the 14 folklores taken from the South Coast of Pacitan region. Based on the result of the analysis, it can be concluded that the mindset of the past society can be separated into (1) the social status way, (2) migration way, and (3) the way of techno-economy. While, the life views of the past society in the south coast of Pacitan region are (1) complying the rule, (2) nature as the source of life, and (3 ) Peace of life is very desirable dream.
