Abstract

Karakter bangsa yang berbasis pada multikultural harus menjadi pondasi dalampembangunan masa depan bangsa dan negara Indonesia. Apabila diperhatikan dari negara-negarayang sudah maju, maka yang menonjol adalah kuatnya karakter yang mereka miliki. Hasilpenelitian ini menemukan bahwa empat pola pembelajaran yang perlu diperhatikan di sekolah,yaitu: penyusunan program, strategi pembelajaran, proses pembelajaran, dan evaluasi pembelajaran.Dengan keempat pola tersebut, perbedaan antar individu dapat dikembangkan sebagai suatukekuatan kelompok dan peserta didik terbiasa hidup dengan berbagai keragaman budaya, sosial,ekonomi, intelektual dan aspirasi politik.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu dengan desain faktorial 2 x 3. Populasi penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri I di Kabupaten Pacitan semester ganjil tahun pelajaran 2010/2011. Pengujian hipotesis menggunakan anava dua jalan dengan frekuensi sel tak sama, dengan taraf signifikan 5%. Sebelumnya dilakukan uji prasyarat, yaitu: uji normalitas menggunakan uji Liliefors dan uji homogenitas menggunakan uji Bartlett dan hasilnya adalah normal dan homogen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: 1) hasil belajar siswa dengan strategi Think-Talk-Write (TTW) lebih baik daripada strategi Think-Pair- Share (TPS); 2) hasil belajar matematika siswa dengan aktivitas tinggi lebih baik daripada aktivitas sedang, hasil belajar dengan aktivitas sedang lebih baik daripada aktivitas rendah, dan hasil belajar dengan aktivitas tinggi lebih baik daripada aktivitas rendah; 3) Aktivitas belajar siswa tinggi, hasil belajar dengan strategi TTW, lebih baik daripada strategi TPS; 4) Aktivitas belajar siswa sedang, hasil belajar dengan strategi TTW lebih baik, daripada strategi TPS; 5) Aktivitas belajar siswa rendah, hasil belajar matematika siswa dengan strategi TTW lebih baik, daripada strategi TPS.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) mengkaji gagasan pembaharuan pendidikan yang diajukan olehKyai Haji Ahmad Dahlan serta kiprahnya dalam perjuangan pendidikan pada masa kolonial; (2) mengkajidimensi pendidikan karakter dalam konsep pendidikan Kyai Haji Ahmad Dahlan sebagai dasarmenghadapi situasi pada zamannya; (3) mengkaji lebih lanjut pendidikan karakter berbasis agamamenurut Kyai Haji Ahmad Dahlan. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakanpendekatan historis. Penelitian ini menggunakan studi dokumen sebagai metode utama. Studi dokumendilakukan terhadap sumber-sumber primer maupun sekunder. Selain studi dokumen, penelitian ini jugamenggunakan metode wawancara sebagai metode pelengkap. Wawancara dilakukan terhadap beberapapraktisi pendidikan Muhammadiyah dan Taman Siswa.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, pertama: kondisi pendidikan pemerintah kolonial yangdiskriminatif dan kondisi pendidikan Islam yang memprihatinkan, mendorong Kyai Haji Ahmad Dahlanuntuk menyelenggarakan sekolah Muhammadiyah, yang memadukan pengetahuan umum denganpengajaran agama. Hal ini bertujuan untuk memberi keseimbangan antara kecerdasan intelektual dengankecerdasan spiritual siswa. Kedua, pendidikan karakter Kyai Haji Ahmad Dahlan didasarkan pada ajaranIslam, yaitu iman, ilmu, dan amal. Pada prinsipnya, agama bukan sekedar sebagai pengetahuan saja, tetapiharus sampai pada amalan. Kyai Haji Ahmad Dahlan menolak sistem pendidikan pemerintah kolonialBelanda saat itu, yang diskriminatif dan sangat intelektualis. Ketiga, Kyai Haji Ahmad Dahlanmenganggap penting dilaksanakannya pendidikan yang bersifat menyeluruh, dan dikelola dengan prinsipkekeluargaan. Pendidikan karakter berbasis agama dalam pendidikan akhlak menurut Kyai Haji AhmadDahlan mengedepankan konsep kesederhanaan, kedisiplinan, jiwa bebas/merdeka, serta akhlak yangmulia yang ditunjukkan dengan perilaku sesuai tuntunan agama, menjadi tujuan utama dalam konseppendidikannya. Mengenai proses pembelajarannya, K.H. Ahmad Dahlan sangat mementingkan prinsipketeladanan, dialog sebagai usaha penyadaran, serta prinsip amalan dalam keseharian untuk membentukkebiasaan berperilaku yang baik.

Abstract

There are many philosophers in the world gave his/her influences to development ofeducational world, whith difference of their thinking chacteristic. One of who emerged in early 20thcentury is Alfred North Whitehead. His thought viewed that the human are a creature whichindependently regulate her/his self in process of interaction with others in which is no domination. Histhought has directed educational practices both on teaching and learning and on educationalmanagement in order to be run well and goal oriented. The main focus is leaner viewed as individu whomust be developed humanizely.

Abstract

Abstract:There are two points in this research. First, there are lot of violence phenomena and the strainedsituation between the members of religious community in the society recently. Second, it has not foundthe way to solve the conflicts which is relevant to the Indonesians character. Related to the problems,the results of this study show that; 1) through multicultural teaching and learning method, theunique of human beings, such as the differences of religion or belief, race, culture, sex, physical aspectsand peoples’ economic status can be placed on the same level.2) the multicultural educational conceptof education in three centers of education by Ki Hajar Dewantara as one of the alternativeapplication methods. Trough familial education, the parents teach their children for understandingthe importance of having equal right among the ones who have different ethnic group, race, religion,belief, culture, social strata, and humanism values. At school, the teachers and academic staffs canteach the multicultural values of education which are systematic, academic, and controlled. In thesociety, the citizen or the members of the society can implement the feeling of awareness in the real life,related to the importance of seeing the differences of people without differencing the religion, belief,culture, sex, physical aspects and peoples’ social status.

Abstract

Bioethical issues and the environmental crisis is a challenge in the present study biology andfuture. On the other hand the demands of quality of professional teacher lies in the creation of aform of praxis humanist and religious education. Both of these are the main purposes ofresearch about coexistence sanctitas and scientia as two traditions that continue to be able towalk parallel to realize the form of religious humanist education. Biology Education at theUniversity of Sanata Dharma is taken as the subject of educational phenomenon that seeks todevelop the tradition of scientia through contextual learning biology by studying the dynamicscyrcle of context-experience-reflection-action-evaluation. Through the ability of self-reflectiveinquiry is expected to deepen the faith of students through the construction of a transcendentalconsciousness as a human.

Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan tujuan sebagai berikut: (1) Untuk mengetahui ada pengaruhyang signifikan aktivitas belajar terhadap prestasi belajar mata pelajaran PKn siswa Kelas VIII SMPNegeri 1 Kebonagung Kabupaten Pacitan (2) Untuk mengetahui ada pengaruh yang signifikanpemanfaatan perpustakaan terhadap prestasi belajar mata pelajaran PKn siswa Kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1Kebonagung Kabupaten Pacitan (3) Untuk mengetahui ada pengaruh yang signifikan aktivitas belajardan pemanfaatan perpustakaan secara bersama-sama terhadap prestasi belajar mata pelajaran PKnsiswa Kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Kebonagung Kabupaten Pacitan. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruhKelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Kebonagung Kabupaten Pacitan tahun pelajaran 2010/2011, yang terdiri dari 7kelas dengan jumlah siswa 233 siswa. Dari populasi yang ada peneliti mengambil keseluruhan siswaKelas VIII F sebagai sampel penelitian yang berjumlah 34 siswa.Hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini adalah: (1) ada pengaruh yang signifikan aktivitas belajarterhadap prestasi belajar mata pelajaran PKn siswa Kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Kebonagung KabupatenPacitan (2) ada pengaruh yang signifikan pemanfaatan perpustakaan terhadap prestasi belajar matapelajaran PKn siswa Kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Kebonagung Kabupaten Pacitan (3) ada pengaruh yangsignifikan aktivitas belajar dan pemanfaatan perpustakaan secara bersama-sama terhadap prestasibelajar mata pelajaran PKn siswa Kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Kebonagung Kabupaten Pacitan.

Abstract:This research is aimed to find out the error of compositions made by fifth semesterstudents. He is completely aware that the students of English Department of the Academy ofForeign Languages of “IPK” still find difficulties in choosing the exact sentence connectors to beapplied in their compositions. . Besides that, the writer wants to practice his ability in usingEnglish that be has learned in his study at the Academy of Foreign Languages of “IPK”. He iscompletely aware that the students of the English Department of the Academy of ForeignLanguages of “IPK” still find difficulties in choosing the exact sentence connectors to be appliedin their compositionsFrom the composition teacher, the writer got the students‟ compositions from which hecollected data. At the later stage, he analyzed the data. He also quotes some pieces of informationfrom the grammar books especially those discussing the sentence connectors and in whichposition they should be applied in order that his analysis can be justified and considered valid.Also, he compares theories about sentences connectors from the reference books one by one.Eventually, he tries to find out whether or not the sentence connectors are applied in the students‟compositions.The result of the discussion is that there are many students that still make the errors intheir compositions related to the sentence connectors. The student of the English Department ofthe Academy of Foreign Languages of IPK Yogyakarta does not have a lot of intentions to usethe sentence connectors in their composition ; so, it is hoped for them to comprehend them andshould not make the necessary mistakes anymore

Abstract

This research is aimed to find out the structural elements and its moral values on the play. The analysis covers some structural elements which consist of the theme, the character and characterization, the setting, the plot, the point of view, language and symbolism. The play Macbeth is tragedy and full of conflicts and moral values on the story. And also, it belongs to one of famous plays written by Shakespeare about 1606. The subject of the research is play Macbeth by William Shakespeare and the object of research is the intrinsic elements of the play and the moral values of it. To analyze the structural elements of the play Macbeth, the writer uses the objective approach that anatomizes the work of art itself without relating to external factors such as universe, artists, audience. It focuses on the elements of literary work. The findings of the research show that 1)The theme of the play is a blind ambition. Macbeth is goaded by his more ambitious wife, Lady Macbeth, to be king by evil way. He uses ‘the goal justifies the means’ to obtain it. But it causes the downfall. 2)There are two main characters namely Macbeth and Lady Macbeth and seven minor characters namely King Duncan, Banquo, Three Witches, Macduff, Malcolm, Fleance, Lady Macduff. 3)The setting of time happens in eleventh century ; Meanwhile, the setting of place happens in Scotland and in England, Though, Shakespeare uses the setting of place in beginning of every act. 4)The plot of the play starts from exposition, then it moves to rising action and reaches the climax or turning point. Later, it goes to falling action and the resolution. 5).Shakespeare as author always uses the third person point of view such as He, She, and the name of the character.6)The language that is used is dialog language in the stage and it is old classic English.7)The symbolisms of play which are standing out are blood and darkness. 8)The moral values are divided into positive moral values such as bravery, loyalty, affection, modesty and honesty. and negative moral values such as ambition, atrocity, temptation, vengeance.
