Abstract

This research was motivated by problems with student learning outcomes and student learning activities. In this learning, students are less active in the learning process of Hindu Religious Education and Character. The reason why there are still many students who are less active in learning Hindu Religious Education and Character and get less grades than the KKTP is that teachers still use the lecture method in delivering learning material. The problems that will be discussed include (1) The learning activities of class VIII.7 students in the second semester of the 2023/2024 academic year in Hindu religious education whose learning process uses a systematic problem solving approach (PSSS) assisted by LKS (2 Applying the Question Solving Approach It will systematically improve the learning outcomes of class VIII.7 students in the second semester of the 2023/2024 academic yearThis research aims to find out (1) To find out whether the implementation of Systematic Problem Solving can improve the learning outcomes of Hindu Religious Education class VIII.7 at SMP Negeri 7 Denpasar in the 2023/2024 Academic Year. (2) To find out whether the application of systematic problem solving can improve the learning outcomes of Hindu Religious Education for class VIII.7 students at SMP Negeri 7 Denpasar in the 2023/2024 academic year. The results of the research show (1) It is known that students' learning completeness in the implementation of the pretest in cycle I obtained a total of 2375 scores with an average of 59, the highest score was 70 and the lowest was 40. (2) Meanwhile the learning results in cycle II were 2,900 (pre test score) and 3330 (post test score). (3) It can be concluded from the two cycles that have been implemented, the second cycle has a high learning outcome value compared to the first cycle, so that learning completeness is achieved.   Keywords: Student Learning Outcomes, Systematic Problem Solving Approach (PSSS), Learning Completeness

Abstract

The importance of religious character education that can be built at an early age at the elementary school level is in overcoming student deviant behavior, various efforts are made by educators to change student character.The problems that will be discussed in this interview are: (1) What is the role of Hindu religious education and character teachers in shaping students' religious character through the teachings of Tri Kaya Parisudha at SD N 7 Banjar Anyar (2) What are the obstacles to learning Tri Kaya Parisudha in forming students' religious character at SD N 7 Banjar Anyar (3) What efforts are made by Hindu religion and character teachers in forming students' religious character through the teachings of Tri Kaya Parisudha at SD N 7 Banjar Anyar. This research aims to find out the role of Hindu religious teachers in forming religious character education, the obstacles and efforts in forming religious character education, as well as the results of forming character education by Hindu religious teachers. The problems in this research are studied using role theory, constructivist theory. and character theory. This research uses data collection techniques of observation, interviews, literature study, documentation. The data that has been collected is analyzed using qualitative descriptive analysis methods. Based on the results of research and data analysis, it shows that (1) the role of Hindu religious teachers in developing character education in students is through curricular activities such as intracurricular and extracurricular. (2) Obstacles from learning Tri Kaya Parisudha in forming the religious character of students at SD Negeri 7 Banjar Anyar. (3) Efforts made by Hindu Religion and Character Education Teachers to form religious characters who are religious, honest, independent, hard working, tolerant, disciplined, responsible and care for the environment. Referring to the results of these observations, it can be seen that the role of teachers of Hindu religious education and character plays a very important role in the success of students' education and has gone very well based on problem analysis with the theory used in the research.   Keywords: Hindu Religion Teacher, Hindu Religious Education, Religious Character Education

Abstract

This study examines the role of Hindu religious education and character development teachers in instilling religious moderation values among students at SMP Negeri 1 Denpasar. Religious moderation is a crucial element in shaping an educational environment that is harmonious, tolerant, and free from conflict. This research focuses on three main aspects: 1) The attitude of religious moderation among students at SMP Negeri 1 Denpasar, 2) The role of Hindu religious education and character development teachers in the internalization of religious moderation values, and 3) The impact of instilling religious moderation values on students. The research employs a qualitative descriptive approach with data collection techniques including observation, interviews, literature studies, and documentation. Data analysis is conducted systematically through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results show that students' attitudes towards religious moderation are reflected in various activities such as social service, deliberations in the election of student council representatives (OSIS), participation in extracurricular activities, and involvement in ceremonies and local cultural performances. Teachers play a central role in instilling religious moderation values by teaching fundamental concepts in Hindu teachings such as Tat Twam Asi, Tri Hita Karana, and Catur Paramitha. The internalization of these values has a positive impact on students, as evidenced by increased solidarity, tolerance, responsibility, appreciation for diversity, and the creation of a safer, more orderly, and conducive school environment for learning. Abstract

This research discussed regarding the teacher’s efforts in developing moderated religious attitude to 7th grades students at SMP Negeri 2 Gianyar. The aim of this research was to know the efforts of the teacher to develop moderated religious attitude at SMP Negeri 2 Gianyar, also to know how far the students understand the concept. Early characters education was important and necessary in the middle of multicultural society in Indonesia to build attitude of tolerance and respect the difference. The highlight of this research was the role of the school in educated moderated religious attitude, especially through motivation given by the teacher. The focus of this research included with the 7th grades students’ understanding regarding moderated religious, strategy used by the teacher and the factors affect the development of moderated religious attitude. The methods used in this research is observation, interview and documents analysis. Gianyar, as an area with religious diversity, became a relevant background of this research. The researcher hoped the result of this research could give new insights and enrich the learning strategy of tolerance in school, and contributed to harmony between religious communities in Indonesia. This research used the theory of Social Learning, this theory explained about someone’s attitudes can be affected by the environment and someone’s attitudes can give impact to the environment. In this research, it was found that students’ understanding of moderated religious attitude, and it can be said still not good enough. But, as the students’ implementation, the students already implemented attitudes that shows an attitude of religious moderation. The efforts did by the teacher to improves understanding of religious moderation attitudes were by providing exemplary examples by the teacher, improving students’ understanding of religious moderation attitudes and increasing insight by reading reference books. The factors that influenced the process of developing religious moderation attitudes in 7th grades students at SMP Negeri 2 Gianyar were internal factors and external factors.   Keywords: Moderated Religious Attitudes, Teacher Strategies

Abstract

Nyerod marriage is one of the typical Balinese marriage traditions which is full of cultural meaning and traditional values. In the midst of modernization, this tradition is facing challenges in the form of changes in public perception, especially among the younger generation who do not understand the traditional values behind this tradition. This research aims to reveal people's perceptions of Nyerod marriage in Keramas Village, Blahbatuh District, Gianyar Regency, and understand its relevance in the modern era. A qualitative approach using in-depth interviews and observation methods was used to explore the community's views, including the reasons for preserving traditions and the influence of modernization on their understanding. The research results show that the Nyerod tradition is seen as a symbol of family loyalty and eternity, but its meaning has shifted due to the influence of education, media and globalization. Patriarchal cultural factors also influence the maintenance of this tradition, although there are changes in values in the younger generation who are more critical of gender roles. This research provides new insights into the socio-cultural dynamics in Bali and how local traditions adapt to developments over time. It is hoped that these findings can become a reference in preserving local culture in harmony with social change, as well as strengthening literature on cultural change in traditional Balinese society. Abstract

This study examines the application of Hindu religious education concentration in literacy icons at SMP Negeri 1 Denpasar. Literacy icons are used as innovative learning media that integrate Hindu religious teachings with visual and narrative approaches. The problems to be discussed include: (1) What is the reason for building a literacy icon at SMP Negeri 1 Denpasar? (2) How is the implementation process of the literacy icon at SMP Negeri 1 Denpasar? and (3) What are the implications of the literacy icon at SMP Negeri 1 Denpasar? The theories used to analyze the problems in this study are Abraham Maslow's motivation theory, Albert Bandura's social learning theory, and B.F. Skinner's behaviorist theory. The subjects of this study were Hindu religious education and character education teachers of SMP Negeri 1 Denpasar, students of SMP Negeri 1 Denpasar, and parents of students of SMP Negeri 1 Denpasar.        The research uses data collection methods, namely (1) Observation, (2) Interview, (3) Literature study, and (4) Documentation. The collected data were analyzed using qualitative descriptive analysis methods with steps of reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the research and discussion in this study, (1) the construction of literacy icons at SMP Negeri 1 Denpasar was motivated by the need to increase students' interest in reading, student achievement, creating a superior generation by strengthening the spiritual values ​​of Hinduism in everyday life. (2) The process of literacy icons at SMP Negeri 1 Denpasar is carried out through independent reading and summarizing, joint prayers, and presentation of reading results, and (3) Implications of the implementation of literacy icons based on the perceptions of SMP Negeri 1 Denpasar teachers, literacy icons become a bridge to instill moral values ​​in students and strengthen students' cultural identity. Based on the perceptions of parents of SMP Negeri 1 Denpasar students, literacy icons become a medium to educate children and strengthen the relationship between parents and children. Based on the perception of students of SMP Negeri 1 Denpasar, the literacy icon is a source of inspiration for learning in a fun way.   Keywords: Literacy icon, educational concentration, Hindu religious education

Abstract

Traditional ceremonies in Bali play an important role in the life cycle of society, including in maintaining social and spiritual harmony. One of the ceremonies that attracts attention is the Patiwangi ceremony, which is carried out in the context of Nyerod marriage. This ceremony aims to purify individuals who change dynasties through marriage, so that it becomes a symbol of harmony and integration in society. This study focuses on the implementation of the Patiwangi ceremony in Temesi Traditional Village, Gianyar District, Gianyar Regency, which has its own uniqueness in its local traditions. Nyerod marriage, as a form of marriage between individuals from different dynasties, often poses challenges in the traditional order of Balinese society. The Patiwangi ceremony is a means to overcome this dynamic by harmonizing the social and spiritual relationships of individuals with their environment. The implementation of the ceremony involves various traditional elements, including traditional leaders and the bride and groom's families. This tradition also strengthens social solidarity in the community, as stated by anthropological theories related to ritual and culture. However, globalization and modernization bring challenges to the sustainability of this tradition. The younger generation is starting to lose their deep understanding of the philosophical value of the Patiwangi ceremony. Modernization often contributes to the erosion of traditional values if it is not balanced with efforts to preserve culture. Therefore, this study also examines the extent to which the Patiwangi tradition can remain relevant amidst social and cultural changes in Temesi Traditional Village. This study aims to understand the reasons why people carry out the Patiwangi ceremony, the implementation process, and the community's perception of this tradition. The results of the study indicate that the Patiwangi ceremony has significant spiritual, social, and cultural values, despite being faced with various challenges, such as high costs and the influence of external cultures. These findings provide an important picture of the sustainability of tradition in the modern era. This study provides academic and practical contributions to the study of Balinese traditional traditions, especially in the context of Nyerod marriage and the Patiwangi ceremony. The results of the study are expected to provide recommendations for the community and stakeholders in preserving the noble values contained in this ceremony so that they are maintained for future generations. ABSTRACT In the 21st century, digitalization in various aspects of life including education. In Hindu Education and Ethics Learning, on the one hand, this gadget can help but have an impact on grade VIII students. The formulation of the problem: (1) The form of using gadgets in the learning of Hindu Religious Education and Ethics in the formation of religious character of grade VIII students at SMP Negeri 3 Mengwi? (2). What is the impact of using gadgets on the learning of Hindu Religious Education and Ethics in the formation of religious character of grade VIII students at SMP Negeri 3 Mengwi? (3). What efforts have Hindu teachers made to overcome the impact of using gadgets on the learning of Hindu Religious Education and Ethics in the formation of religious character of grade VIII students at SMP Negeri 3 Mengwi?The purpose of this research is to find out the form of gadget utilization, to analyze the impact of gadget use, to find the efforts of Hindu teachers in overcoming the impact of gadget use. The theories used are: Uses and Gratification Theory, Dependency Theory and Character Theory. The data collection method uses observation, interviews, literature studies, document studies with qualitative descriptive analysis. The results of the study showed that teachers used laptops and mobile phones with WhatsApps, Google, Youtube, Powerpoint, Quizizz and Google Form applications. This gadget has a positive and negative impact on students. Efforts that Hindu teachers can make in overcoming this problem are by supervising, reprimanding, providing ice breaking, providing direction, cooperating with parents and shaping the religious character of students. . Abstract

The dynamics of education in the modern era present complex challenges, especially in fostering students' learning motivation and critical thinking skills. Teachers are required to design active, meaningful, and student-centered learning strategies. This study aims to analyze the implementation of inquiry learning strategies combined with collaborative methods to improve students' motivation and thinking power. With a qualitative approach through literature studies, researchers reviewed various relevant journals, books, and documents to examine the impact of this strategy on student engagement and learning outcomes. The discussion includes an overview of SPI, the advantages and disadvantages of SPI, forms of SPI implementation such as discussions, assignments, experiments, and questions and answers, as well as strategic innovations through collaboration with other approaches such as CTL and Cooperative Learning and Gamification to increase flexibility and effectiveness. The results show that collaboration-based inquiry learning can significantly improve students' motivation, critical thinking, and independence. This strategy is in line with the objectives of the current curriculum which encourages students to become active knowledge seekers.

Abstract

Implementation of a Problem Based Learning (PBL) approach integrated with interactive quizzes in mathematics lessons on whole numbers and place value for third-grade students at SD Negeri 3 Sebatu. The main problems identified included students' limited mastery of the concept of positional value in whole numbers, traditional teaching practices, and limited use of engaging learning media. The research methodology employed a descriptive qualitative approach through case studies. The study took place at SD Negeri 3 Sebatu on July 23, 2025, with 20 third-grade students participating. Data were collected through lesson observations, interviews with teachers and students, and documentation of learning outcomes. The research instruments included student activity observation sheets, a rubric for assessing conceptual understanding, and a questionnaire assessing student responses to the learning media. The findings indicate that the implementation of the Problem Based Learning model integrated with quizzes yielded encouraging results achievement of the target. Students demonstrated significant improvements in learning enthusiasm and active participation, along with improved mastery of the concepts of whole numbers and place value. The interactive quizzes proved effective in increasing student engagement and providing direct learning evaluation. This learning approach successfully transformed the learning process from teacher-centered to student-centered, enhancing analytical thinking, problem-solving, and collaboration skills among students. Benefits of this implementation include increased student active participation, mastery of abstract concepts through contextual problems, and the creation of a fun learning atmosphere. Suggestions for future research include the need for comprehensive training for educators in developing contextual Problem Based Learning problems and developing quizzes with a wider variety of media to accommodate students' diverse learning styles.
