Abstract

This study aims to describe the cultivation of religious values in the development of social intelligence among elementary school students at SDN Suryakencana CBM. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed in this research. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The research participants consisted of the school principal, Islamic education teachers, homeroom teachers, and students. Data were analyzed using the interactive model proposed by Miles and Huberman, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion verification. The findings indicate that the cultivation of religious values has been systematically implemented through various school-based religious activities, such as congregational Duha prayer, Qur’an recitation (tadarus), congregational Dhuhr prayer, and Islamic commemorative events. These activities contribute to the formation of students’ religious dispositions, including discipline, obedience, and consistent engagement in worship practices. However, students’ social intelligence remains relatively underdeveloped, as evidenced by limited cooperation, insufficient empathy, and suboptimal peer interpersonal skills. These findings reveal a discrepancy between students’ high levels of ritual religiosity and their social intelligence development. In conclusion, while the implementation of religious values contributes positively to students’ religious character formation, it has not yet been fully effective in optimizing their social intelligence.

Abstract

This article will discuss the importance of character education in the world of education. Character education is an important part of the life process of students at school, of course it needs comprehensive activities in the process. Character education includes everything about the values of positive people's behavior, helping people to become better people, especially individual students who will shape the next generation of the nation. The role of character education has a major influence on a person's moral development through letter education which will be used as a printer to renew the morals of the Indonesian nation through education. Family, teachers, parents and the environment all influence the cultivation of character education by students.

Abstract

Bahtsul Masail is a forum for the study of religious issues, bahṡul masail functions as a forum for studying Islamic religious issues, in this forum discusses and decides on issues that require legal certainty in the field of fiqh. The Bahtsul Masail method is a method of discussion or deliberation used to solve various religious problems as carried out in various Islamic Boarding Schools related to Islamic law in fiqh learning in order to increase the critical power of students in developing religious knowledge in the field of Islamic Law (Fiqh science). The purpose of this study is to find out the extent of the critical power of students in Islamic boarding schools in understanding the fiqh learning material through the Bahtsul Masail method. This type of research is a field study through a qualitative approach where in the technique of collecting data through Library Research (Literature Studies) from various sources that are  from various sources put forward by experts in the field. The results of the study show that the stages in the Bahtsul Masail method include the preparation, opening, core and closing stages which include problem analysis, answer search, answer delivery, answer categories, argumentative debate, answer formulation, and tabayyun and endorsement, which is then aikhiri with the closing, the efforts made by a Kiai in the formation of students' critical thinking skills, including giving opportunities and rewards to students who are achievements, given opportunities in self-development, training for students to have proficiency in detecting problems and solving these problems which ends with conclusions/decisions. Through this method, it is hoped that it can provide significant changes to the condition of a student's critical ability so that they are able to analyze, synthesize, solve problems, conclude and evaluate.

Abstract

Religious moderation in education has been considered to have an important role in shaping attitudes of tolerance and inclusiveness in a multicultural society. Solutions in maintaining social harmony and preventing conflicts due to extremism and intolerance have been found through a moderate understanding of religion. Education has been utilized as the main means to instill the values of religious moderation through curriculum, learning methods, and extracurricular activities designed to encourage interfaith interaction. A qualitative approach with a desk study method has been used in this research, with analysis conducted on various secondary sources such as books, scientific journals, and government policy documents. From the results of the research, it was found that appreciation of diversity is more prevalent among students who have been given an understanding of religious moderation, and higher levels of tolerance are also exhibited by them. However, some challenges remain, especially in the digital era, when the spread of inaccurate information is increasing and has the potential to trigger intolerance. Therefore, strengthening digital literacy is considered a necessary step so that information can be sorted out more critically. With the effective implementation of religious moderation-based education, national unity can be strengthened, and diversity can be used as a strength in building a more harmonious and civilized social life.
