Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has changed the global perspective on health, including in Indonesia. The authority of the government has become crucial in responding to this health crisis. Various policies were implemented to protect the public and minimize the negative impact on public health. This study aims to understand the authority and efforts of the local government after the lifting of the PPKM (Public Activity Restrictions) policy on public health awareness in Tangerang City and to identify the obstacles faced by the Tangerang City Government after the lifting of the PPKM policy concerning public health awareness in Tangerang City. This research uses an empirical juridical method with a descriptive-analytical specification, and data were obtained through in-depth interviews with sources. The research findings identify that after the PPKM policy was lifted, the Tangerang City Government did not issue new policies to follow up on the previous one. The conclusion of this study is that the Tangerang City Government continues to implement health efforts such as health protocols, surveillance, vaccination, and public communication to address the aftermath of the PPKM policy lift. The inhibiting factor post-PPKM policy lift, according to the Tangerang City Government, is the absence of any significant obstacles. This is due to the return to the public's own health awareness.

Abstract

The background of this research problem is unmatched between the kinesthetic students characteristic and the reality on the field. Our observations many students are less interested participating in learning, because they feel boring, so our hypothesis is The gaming-method suspect effective because students with kinesthetic characteristics have physical skills that involve intelligence and cognitive as well as affective and attitudes. Therefore, interactive, holistic, integrative, scientific, contextual, thematic, effective, collaborative, and student-centered learning is needed, as well as the implementation of learning in the field that is directed using learning models/methods related to these characteristics. This study aims to determine is there a correlation or influence the modification of learning with the gaming-method in students motivation, so it can be used as an innovation in “PJOK” learning. This research method is Class Action Research (CAR) with an empirical model. Data were analyzed using the Likert Scale and  qualitative descriptive analysis carried out in 2 cycles with two meetings discussing the topic of student characteristics and the selection of appropriate learning methods. The participants of this research are student in class “9 C of SMPN 7 Kediri” were 32 students. Research shows that play method has an effective relationship and can increase student motivation in “PJOK” lessons in class “9 C of SMPN 7 Kediri”.

Abstract

Community Acquired Pneumonia (CAP) remains a major cause of morbidity and mortality, both in children and adults. Empirical antibiotic therapy is the main intervention, but the rationality of its use is often not fully evaluated in primary and secondary care facilities such as RSIA. To determine the pattern and assess the rationality of antibiotic use in pediatric and adult CAP patients at RSIA Ananda. A retrospective descriptive study of medical records of pediatric and adult CAP patients diagnosed with CAP who were treated at RSIA Ananda during January-December 2024. The evaluation of rationality refers to national guidelines from IDAI (Indonesian Pediatrician Association), PAPDI (Indonesian Lung Doctors Association), and drug use indicators from WHO. Of the 134 patients (72 children, 62 adults), all received empirical antibiotic therapy. The antibiotics most commonly given to children were amoxicillin (40.3%) and cefixime (25%), while in adults ceftriaxone (66.1%) and azithromycin (38.7%). A combination of antibiotics was used in 31.8% of cases. The rationality of antibiotic use was assessed as appropriate in 69.4% of children and 74.2% of adults. The most frequent discrepancies found were in the selection of the type and duration of therapy. Although most antibiotic therapy in CAP patients was in accordance with guidelines, there is still room for improvement, especially in the combination, duration, and selection of antibiotics. Fulfillment of the implementation of cross-unit antibiotic management programs is very important.

Abstract

Stunting is impaired growth of a child's length or height based on the Length for Age (LA) or Height for Age (HA) index. This index can identify children with short stature (stunted), severely short stature (severely stunted), and normal stature caused by prolonged malnutrition or frequent illness. This study aims to determine the relationship between maternal care patterns and maternal knowledge with stunting incidence in Sindang Asih Village, Kujangsari Subdistrict, Langensari District. This quantitative study uses a correlational design to analyze the relationship between independent variables (maternal care patterns and maternal knowledge) and the dependent variable (stunting incidence). The approach used is cross-sectional with a survey method. The population in this study was all mothers with infants aged 6–59 months in Kujangsari Village, Banjar City, with a total sample size of 53. The research results were analyzed using multiple correlation analysis. The results of the multiple correlation analysis showed that the significance value of F change was 0.000 < 0.05. So it can be concluded that the variables Mother's Parenting Pattern (X1) and Mother's Knowledge (X2) have a significant relationship with the Stunting Incidence variable (Y).

Abstract

Every child has the basic right to grow and develop optimally, including obtaining immunization services as an effort to prevent infectious diseases according to applicable regulations. This study aimed to analyze the effect of maternal knowledge and family support on the achievement of basic immunization in infants under 12 months old in Balokang Village, Banjar City, West Java. This study used a correlational design with a causal approach, and involved 115 mothers with infants aged <12 months as the population, who were selected through a simple random sampling technique. The results of the analysis using the regression test showed that maternal knowledge had a significant influence on the achievement of basic immunization (p-value < 0.05), while family support did not show a significant influence (p-value > 0.05). It can be concluded that maternal knowledge plays an important role in the success of basic immunization in infants, while family support has not been shown to have a direct effect. Therefore, improving maternal education is a strategic focus in immunization programs at the community level.

Abstract

Exclusive breastfeeding is part of breastfeeding culture. However, the practice is still far from what is expected. Based on global data, it shows that the coverage of exclusive breastfeeding worldwide in 2021 has only reached 67%. Optimal breastfeeding is very important for health and development as well as for women's health. This study aims to analyze the influence of infant formula promotion and breastfeeding motivation on exclusive breastfeeding behavior among employees at RAFFA Majenang General Hospital. The study design is correlational, and the research design is causal. The population in this study consisted of 26 employees of RSU RAFFA Majenang who had infants aged 0–6 months. The results of the analysis using Fisher’s Exact Test yielded a p-value of 0.000, which is less than the alpha level of 0.05, indicating that there is an influence of infant formula product promotion on exclusive breastfeeding behavior among employees at RSU RAFFA Majenang. Recommendations for RSU Raffa Majenang include establishing regulations regarding sales visit times, particularly related to infant formula distribution, to enhance the exclusive breastfeeding promotion program, especially for employees, and providing a breastfeeding corner and its facilities specifically for employees.

Abstract

Handwashing with soap is a health behavior that is easy to implement and can be taught to students from an early age at school. In order for this healthy habit to form, basic factors are needed to encourage students to do so, such as knowledge and a positive attitude towards washing hands with soap. Schools are places where students learn and play, which makes them vulnerable to contracting diseases if their hands are not clean. Various diseases such as diarrhea, intestinal worms, and typhoid can infect students through dirty hands if they do not get into the habit of washing their hands with soap. This study aims to analyze the influence of the availability of handwashing facilities on handwashing behavior with soap among elementary school students in the Healthy School Program in Kalipucang, Pangandaran, West Java. The research design is correlational, and the research framework is causal. The population in this study consists of 58 sixth-grade students from the top-ranked healthy school in Kalipucang, Pangandaran District, with the sample size determined using the Slovin formula, resulting in 50 participants. The sampling technique used in this study is simple random sampling. The analysis in this study used the Spearman's rank correlation test to test the significance of the associative hypothesis if the dependent and independent variables are not normally distributed. The analysis results yielded a p-value of 0.001 < 0.05, indicating that there is an influence of the availability of handwashing facilities on handwashing behavior using soap among students at the State Elementary School in the Healthy School Program in Kalipucang, Pangandaran, West Java.

Abstract

Stunting is a health problem that occurs when infants or children experience physical growth disorders, preventing them from reaching their ideal height for their age. Stunting also reflects poor nutrition in children. In Indonesia, the prevalence of stunting reaches 20%, while in West Java it stands at 20.2%, and in urban areas there are 976 cases, or approximately 8.7%. Sanitation and home environmental conditions play a significant role in the health of pregnant women and children's growth and development, especially since children under two years of age are highly vulnerable to infections and diseases. Poor home environments and sanitation can have negative impacts on various aspects, such as deteriorating environmental quality, contaminated drinking water sources, increased incidence of diarrhea, and the emergence of other diseases. If children frequently fall ill, their food intake typically decreases, leading to malnutrition that can hinder brain development during the first two years of life, thereby increasing the risk of stunting. Given the high incidence of stunting and the challenges in addressing it, research is needed to determine the impact of home environmental conditions on the incidence of stunting in Kujangsari Village, Langensari District, Banjar City, West Java. This study uses a correlational design, with a population of 46 stunting cases and a sample of 44 cases selected using non-probability sampling (purposive sampling). Data analysis using the Fisher Exact Test yielded a p-value of 1.000 (> 0.05), indicating that there is no significant association between home environmental conditions and stunting classification.
