Abstract

The congregation at GBI Gunungsari Salatiga is a congregation that is experiencing faith growth, but this congregation faces challenges to prioritize God in personal, family and society. In order to overcome this, the pastor has a regular formation program through teaching the Word of God. This faith formation has the theme “Seek The Lord” based on the Book of Amos 5:4-6 on December 8, 2024 at 08.00-10.00 at GBI Gunungsari Salatiga. The presentation of this faith formation preparation was through exposition study and literature study of Amos 5:4-6. While the implementation of community service uses the lecture method. There are 3 main points that can be done by the congregation to face the challenge of prioritizing God through the theme 'Seek God'. First: the congregation must seek God, second: the congregation must seek God through repentance. Third: the congregation must seek God by putting God first. The result of this PkM is that the congregation understands the meaning of seeking God, the congregation experiences repentance as a response to seeking God and the congregation is committed to prioritizing God in the practice of daily life.

Abstract

Human survival with the existing ecosystem is experiencing imbalance. With data on increasing environmental damage as a call for all organizations to share the spirit of deep ecology which in this PkM is based on Ecotheology with the aim of fostering ecological awareness of the congregation through an ecotheological approach based on the Bible which takes place at GBI My Home Tanjung Uban. The activity was carried out by a team where lecturers and students from the Real Batam Theological College on April 26, 2025 as devotees. The method used is participatory education with a combination of counseling, theological discussions and direct practice of arranging church yards. The results of the activity showed an increase in the congregation's understanding of the relationship between faith and the environment, changes in mindset towards nature, and active involvement in maintaining the cleanliness and beauty of the worship space. So it can be concluded that the environment and faith are one in respecting the ecosystem as a creation in divine nature as a call for the spirit of natural balance and arrangement and continuity of life that coexist. Abstrak Keberlangsungan hidup manusia dengan ekosistem yang ada tengah mengalami ketimpangan. Dengan data yang kerusakan alam yang semankin meningkat sebagai seruan bagi semua organisasi untuk membagikan semangat deep ecology yang dalam PkM ini berpijak pada Ekoteologi dengan tujuan untuk menumbuhkan kesadaran ekologis jemaat melalui pendekatan ekoteologi yang berlandaskan Alkitab yang bertempat di GBI My Home Tanjung Uban. Kegiatan dilaksanakan oleh tim dimana dosen dan mahasiswa dari Sekolah Tinggi Teologi Real Batam pada tanggal 26 April 2025 sebagai pengabdi. Metode yang digunakan adalah edukasi partisipatif dengan kombinasi penyuluhan, diskusi teologis dan praktik langsung menata pekarangan gereja. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman jemaat terhadap hubungan antara iman dan lingkungan, perubahan pola pikir terhadap alam, serta keterlibatan aktif dalam menjaga kebersihan dan keindahan ruang ibadah. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa lingkungan dan iman adalah satu kesatuan dalam menghormati ekosistem sebagai ciptaan dalam kodrat ilahi sebagai seruan akan semangat keseimbangan alam dan penataan dan kelangsungan hidup yang berdampingan.

Abstract

This study presents a community service activity structured as a seminar entitled Beauty and The Best: Victorious Women, held at Rock Sydney Church, Australia. The main objective of the seminar was to educate and restore the Christian understanding of true womanly beauty—not based on physical appearance or societal expectations, but grounded in spiritual identity in Christ. The method employed was an interactive lecture consisting of four key stages: biblical material preparation, seminar delivery, open discussion and Q&A, and a follow-up phase including devotional materials and the formation of a spiritual support community. The outcomes revealed a significant transformation in participants’ perception of their identity as women in Christ, along with an increased awareness of their spiritual calling within the church, family, and society. The seminar successfully fostered a reflective and encouraging environment for continuous spiritual growth among participants.

Abstract

The implementation of Community Service (PkM) is part of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, aimed at enhancing human and environmental resources. This activity emphasizes the importance of preserving nature, particularly in addressing the negative impacts of plastic waste, which is increasingly prevalent in urban, rural, and mountainous areas. PkM is conducted due to the low awareness among rural communities about the effects of plastic waste on soil fertility, leading to decreased yields of coffee, cocoa, and tubers. Through direct socialization and education, it is hoped that rural communities will become more prudent in managing plastic waste. This activity is also expected to be published in an accredited journal and to raise awareness among the community about the importance of a harmonious relationship between humans and nature, in line with the Tri Hita Karana philosophy.

Abstract

Limited access to Biblical Hebrew learning resources has often hindered non-academic Christian communities from engaging the Scriptures in their original language. This community service program aims to empower Christians from diverse regions through an accessible and contextual online literacy training in Biblical Hebrew. The program employed a narrative review to design learning materials and implemented interactive lectures via Zoom for delivery. Results indicate significant cognitive and affective improvement among participants—from having no prior knowledge to reading and interpreting verses in Hebrew. Beyond linguistic competence, the program also strengthened participants’ spiritual convictions and fostered a cross-regional learning community. Training sessions were documented and shared through digital platforms to reach independent learners more broadly. In conclusion, this initiative demonstrates that Biblical Hebrew education can be developed inclusively and technologically outside of formal institutions for wider community benefit.

Abstract

Abstract Faith building activities today are considered very important for the lives of youth and adolescents. In terms of spirituality, adolescents and young people often seek the meaning of life where this meaning will shape the existence of their lives. The need to bring the Savior together in the lives of youth and youth is also urgent. PPA ID0983 Anugrah Ngareanak understands this basic need very well. The solution that can be offered to introduce the Savior to PPA children is to hold a Faith Building in the context of PPA Christmas. The verse used for faith building is taken in Luke 2:10-11 which tells of shepherds who often experience discriminatory behavior from those around them. But in the frame of Christmas, God uses these shepherds to show that the most beautiful gift for the world has been born in the image of the Lord Jesus Christ as the Savior of the world. This activity was held on December 7, 2024 at STT Kristus Alfa Omega Semarang. PkM activities are divided into 2 classes, namely the Youth class for the 12-22 year age group and the teenager class for the 9-11 year age group. The provision method for the youth class uses interactive lectures, while the teenager class uses puppet stage props. The results of this faith development show positive things both from the enthusiasm of the participants and from the testimonies of the PPA mentors. Keywords: Christmas, The birth of Jesus, Salvation, Forgiveness, Luke 2:10-11 Abstrak Kegiatan pembinaan iman di masa kini dirasa sangat penting bagi kehidupan pemuda dan remaja. Dalam hal kerohanian, remaja dan pemuda sering mencari makna hidup dimana makna ini akan membentuk eksistensi kehidupan mereka. Kebutuhan untuk mempertemukan Juruselamat dalam kehidupan pemuda dan remaja juga dirasa sangat mendesak. PPA ID0983 Anugrah Ngareanak sangat mengerti akan kebutuhan mendasar ini. Solusi yang dapat ditawarkan untuk mengenalkan Juruselamat kepada anak-anak PPA adalah dengan mengadakan Pembinaan Iman dalam rangka Natal PPA. Ayat yang digunakan untuk pembinaan iman terambil dalam Lukas 2:10-11 yang mengisahkan para gembala yang sering mengalami perilaku diskriminatif dari orang-orang disekitarnya. Namun dalam bingkai natal, Allah memakai para gembala ini untuk menunjukkan bahwa hadiah terindah bagi dunia telah lahir dalam rupa Tuhan Yesus Kristus sebagai Juruselamat dunia. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan pada tanggal 7 Desember 2024 di STT Kristus Alfa Omega Semarang. Kegiatan PkM dibagi menjadi 2 kelas yaitu kelas Pemuda untuk kelompok usia 12-22 tahun dan kelas remaja untuk kelompok usia 9-11 tahun. Metode pembekalan untuk kelas pemuda menggunakan ceramah interaktif, sedangkan kelas remaja menggunakan alat peraga panggung boneka. Hasil dari pembinaan iman ini menunjukkan hal yang positif baik dari antusias peserta maupun dari testimoni pembina PPA. Kata kunci: Natal, Kelahiran Yesus, Keselamatan, Mengampuni, Lukas 2:10-11

Abstract

Mental health issues in Indonesia continue to face social stigma, limited services, and a lack of attention toward the community of People with Mental Disorders (ODGJ). This Community Service Program (PkM) was conducted by lecturers and students of the Bachelor of Theology Program at Sekolah Tinggi Teologi Real Batam at the Kasih-Kasihan Foundation, Batam. The purpose of this activity is to strengthen spiritual and social awareness toward marginalized groups through a loving service approach. The method employed is descriptive qualitative, utilizing direct observation, short worship, reflective discussion, and the provision of basic assistance. The results indicate that an approach rooted in love and acceptance can restore participants’ dignity, self-confidence, and hope for life. This activity affirms the role of theological institutions in implementing the Gospel contextually among “edge communities” and demonstrates that inclusive spiritual service can serve as a means of holistic recovery for people with mental disorders.

Abstract

The background of the Community Service are: First, the reality that many families of believers are less harmonious which has a negative impact for children's development. Second, the condition of children in villages who lack educational entertainment. Third, the decreasing attention of the church to the spiritual development of children because it prioritizes the spiritual development of adults. Therefore, the purpose of this Community Service are: First, to provide solutions to family problems in particular. Second, to provide educational entertainment for children. Third, to involve local churches to take a greater part in the spiritual development of children. The results of this Community Service are that 89% of participants felt very satisfied, 8% of participants felt satisfied, and 3% of participants felt dissatisfied. Thus, the results of this Community Service fall into the category of high level of satisfaction.

Abstract

This Community Service Program (PkM) was implemented to address the needs of the Church of the Nazarene Siloam Weleri in strengthening the congregation’s capacity for contextual evangelism within a majority-religion cultural environment. The training was designed to equip church members with theological foundations, evangelistic strategies, and practical skills through four main topics: soul outreach through the gifts of the Holy Spirit, proclamation of the Good News, Christian maturity in holistic outreach, and a contextual pastoral counseling approach. A qualitative field method was employed through needs-assessment interviews, structured seminars, mentoring sessions, and final evaluation. The results indicate a significant increase in the congregation’s understanding and practice of contextual evangelism. This is reflected in personal testimonies, the establishment of new fellowship groups, and initial discipleship initiatives. Although challenges remain—particularly related to time management and direct evangelism skills—the program has contributed positively to mobilizing church members in fulfilling the Great Commission and supporting church multiplication.

Abstract

Understanding the Economy of God's Kingdom as an alternative paradigm that integrates economic principles with biblical values. The critical context of the Pniel GKPB Blimbingsari congregation with a 30% decline in income, large but underutilized land potential, and limited knowledge of sustainable land management. Dependence on conventional production practices, limited market access, lack of business management knowledge, and agricultural practices that do not maintain environmental sustainability. The Environment-Based Entrepreneurship Service Program (KEKAL) integrates organic farming techniques (maggot fertilizer and fermented feed) with the spiritual and ethical values of the Kingdom of God according to Genesis 2:15. The method used is a mixture of qualitative and quantitative. The results of this service program showed a significant increase in the economic empowerment of the Kingdom of God (PEKA) by 50%, eco-theological behavior (PEKO) by 43.45%, with practical achievements in the form of 80% of participants producing their own organic fertilizer, spiritual transformation reaching 70%, and the conclusion that KEKAL is effective as a transformative entrepreneurship model that restores the relationship between humans, creation, and God.
