Abstract

Abstract

The post-pandemic recovery of Indonesia's tourism sector has spurred a significant shift towards sustainable tourism, establishing Community-Based Ecotourism (CBET) as a vital approach for high-value conservation areas. This research analyzes CBET policy development at Dermaga Kereng Bangkirai, Palangka Raya, Central Kalimantan, by integrating three dimensions: the effectiveness of local government regulations, community participation via Pokdarwis, and the ecological implications for the Sebangau National Park peatland ecosystem. Utilizing a qualitative library research method, the study synthesizes secondary data including regulations, accredited journals, and official reports from 2020–2026 through content and thematic analysis. Findings reveal three structural challenges: regulatory disharmony between local revenue targets and national conservation mandates; CBET participation remaining in a transitional phase where Pokdarwis involvement is limited to pragmatic economic interests; and latent ecological threats, such as hydrocarbon pollution and habitat disturbance, arising from insufficient mitigation instruments. The study highlights the urgent need for integrated policy engineering that harmonizes tourism, community empowerment, and peatland ecosystem preservation. These findings provide a strategic framework for stakeholders, ultimately contributing to the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) 8 and SDG 15.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the application of management strategies in enhancing the competitiveness of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the digital era, which is characterized by rapid technological advancement and changing consumer behavior. Digital transformation requires MSMEs to adapt by implementing effective, innovative, and market-oriented management practices. This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through interviews, observations, and documentation involving MSME actors who have utilized digital platforms in their business activities. The findings indicate that the implementation of management strategies, including business planning, human resource management, utilization of digital technology, and digital-based marketing strategies, plays a significant role in improving operational efficiency and business competitiveness. Furthermore, the use of social media and digital marketplaces enables MSMEs to expand market reach and strengthen customer loyalty. However, limited digital literacy and unequal access to technology remain major challenges for some MSMEs. Therefore, continuous support from the government and relevant stakeholders is necessary in the form of training programs, business mentoring, and the provision of adequate digital infrastructure to ensure sustainable competitiveness of MSMEs in the digital era.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of transformational leadership and work-life balance on the work motivation of female teachers at senior high schools/vocational high schools in Ciledug District, Tangerang City, Banten, with workload as a mediating variable. The research used a survey method with saturated sampling technique on 139 female teachers. Data were collected through a questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis was performed using Partial Least Square (PLS) version 4.1.1.2 through outer model evaluation, inner model, and path analysis. The results showed that transformational leadership and work-life balance had a significant effect on work motivation. Transformational leadership and work-life balance were proven to have a significant negative effect on workload. Workload also affected work motivation and acted as a mediating variable in the relationship between transformational leadership and work motivation, as well as between work-life balance and work motivation. The coefficient of determination shows that transformational leadership and work-life balance can explain 42.1% of the variation in workload, while transformational leadership, work-life balance, and workload together explain 38.3% of the variation in work motivation.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Electronic Word of Mouth (E-WOM), and Online Promotion on purchasing decisions for the Wardah make up brand. The research was motivated by fluctuations in Wardah’s sales performance during the 2020–2024 period amid intense competition within the cosmetics industry. This research applied a quantitative approach using a survey method with 112 respondents, who were followers of the Wardah Youth Ambassador Bali Instagram account and users of Wardah products. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling, while data were analyzed through multiple linear regression using the SPSS software. The findings reveal that Customer Relationship Management have a positive but not significant effect, meanwhile Electronic Word of Mouth, and Online Promotion each have a positive and significant effect on purchasing decisions, both partially and simultaneously. These results indicate that effective CRM strategies, positive online reviews, and consistent online promotions can increase consumers’ purchasing decisions toward Wardah make-up products.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of sales promotion, live streaming shopping, and hedonic consumption on impulse buying in Shopee e-commerce. The rapid growth of e-commerce, supported by intensive promotional strategies and innovative features such as live streaming shopping, has influenced consumer behavior toward spontaneous purchasing decisions. This research employs a quantitative approach using a survey method. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 162 respondents who are Shopee users in Denpasar City and have previously made purchases via live streaming shopping. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression with the assistance of SPSS software. The results indicate that sales promotion, live streaming shopping, and hedonic consumption have a positive and significant effect on impulse buying. These findings suggest that more attractive sales promotions, higher interactivity in live streaming shopping, and stronger hedonic consumption motives increase consumers’ tendency to engage in impulsive buying behavior. This study is expected to contribute theoretically to marketing literature and provide practical insights for e-commerce businesses in developing effective marketing strategies.

Abstract

This study examines the effects of servicescape, social media marketing, and service quality on repurchase intention at Goldmine Coffee Sunrise, Sanur, Denpasar, amid the increasingly competitive coffee shop industry and the shift of coffee consumption into a lifestyle-driven activity. A quantitative approach was employed using a structured questionnaire distributed to 105 customers aged ≥17 years who had purchased at least twice; the data were analyzed with SPSS through instrument testing, descriptive statistics, classical assumption tests, and multiple linear regression. The results indicate that all measurement items are valid and reliable, and the regression model meets normality, multicollinearity, and heteroskedasticity assumptions. Partially, servicescape (β = 0.261; p = 0.023), social media marketing (β = 0.602; p = 0.000), and service quality (β = 0.243; p = 0.002) have positive and significant effects on repurchase intention, with social media marketing showing the strongest contribution. Simultaneously, the three independent variables significantly influence repurchase intention (F = 94.598; p = 0.000), explaining 73.0% of the variance (Adjusted R² = 0.730). These findings imply that strengthening the physical service environment, optimizing creative and consistent social media engagement, and maintaining responsive, reliable service are pivotal strategies to enhance customers’ repurchase intention at Goldmine Coffee Sunrise.

Abstract

Audit judgment is an auditor’s professional decision that plays a critical role in maintaining the quality and credibility of audit outcomes; however, in practice it remains influenced by various individual auditor factors. This study aims to examine the effects of professional skepticism and auditor competence on audit judgment, with moral reasoning as a moderating variable. A quantitative approach was employed by distributing questionnaires to 70 auditors working in Public Accounting Firms in Bali Province, selected using purposive sampling. The data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS 4.0. The results indicate that auditors’ professional skepticism does not have a significant effect on audit judgment, whereas auditor competence has a positive and significant effect on audit judgment. In addition, moral reasoning is found to moderate the relationship between professional skepticism and audit judgment as well as the relationship between auditor competence and audit judgment. These findings suggest that moral considerations play an important role in strengthening audit decision-making, particularly when combined with auditors’ competence and professional attitudes. Theoretically, this study supports Attribution Theory and Kohlberg’s Moral Development Theory in explaining how individual factors and moral considerations shape audit judgment that is integrity-driven and oriented toward the public interest.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effects of motivation and tax literacy on accounting students’ interest in pursuing a career as a tax consultant, with growth mindset as a moderating variable. The study is motivated by inconsistencies in prior findings and the need to better understand the cognitive and psychological factors underlying students’ career interests. A quantitative approach was employed using a survey method by distributing questionnaires to undergraduate accounting students from six universities in Denpasar City. Purposive sampling was applied, yielding 368 respondents. The data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS version 4. The results show that tax literacy and motivation have positive and significant effects on students’ interest in becoming tax consultants. Furthermore, growth mindset significantly moderates the effect of motivation on students’ interest, but does not moderate the effect of tax literacy on students’ interest. These findings indicate that tax knowledge is sufficiently strong to directly shape interest, whereas growth mindset primarily strengthens students’ motivational drive. Theoretically, this study supports the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) by demonstrating that cognitive and psychological factors play an important role in shaping career intentions. Practically, the findings are expected to inform universities in designing learning strategies and career development initiatives in the field of taxation.
