Abstract

This study aims to analyze the conceptual relationship between cooperative entrepreneurship and the role of Microfinance Institutions (MFIs) in empowering Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) as a crucial pillar of the national economy. The study employs a literature review method by examining more than 20 national and international publications released between 2020 and 2025. The literature review is conducted systematically to synthesize key findings related to strengthening the institutional capacity of cooperatives, the strategic role of MFIs in enhancing financial inclusion, and the forms of synergy that can be developed between these two institutions in promoting community-based economic development. The results indicate that cooperative entrepreneurship contributes significantly to increasing business productivity, fostering innovation, and strengthening the economic independence of members through the optimization of social capital, organizational governance, and managerial capacity building. Furthermore, MFIs play an essential role in providing sustainable access to financing that aligns with the characteristics and needs of MSMEs. This study proposes an integrative conceptual model that explains how collaboration between cooperative entrepreneurship and MFIs can create a more sustainable, inclusive, and competitive MSME empowerment process. The findings are expected to serve as both an academic and practical foundation for the development of public policies and the formulation of more effective community economic empowerment strategies oriented toward long-term development.

Abstract

This study examines the role of financial technology (fintech) in transforming business models and the contemporary global economic system. The rapid development of fintech has driven significant changes in the financial sector through innovations in digital payment systems, technology-based financing, online investment platforms, and the use of artificial intelligence and big data analytics. These developments have not only improved operational efficiency and accessibility of financial services but have also shifted conventional business models toward more digital, inclusive, and competitive ecosystems. This research employs a literature review method by analyzing scientific journals, institutional reports, and relevant publications related to fintech and the global economy. The findings indicate that fintech contributes to increased financial inclusion, accelerates cross-border transaction flows, and supports the integration of global financial markets. However, the expansion of fintech also presents new challenges, including data security risks, regulatory disparities among countries, and potential disruptions to traditional financial institutions. Therefore, adaptive and collaborative regulatory frameworks are essential to ensure that fintech development supports the stability and sustainability of the global economic system. This study is expected to provide insights for academics, policymakers, and practitioners in understanding the dynamic role of fintech in the modern global economy.

Abstract

After the revitalization of Pasar Seni Klungkung, several traders particularly female traders experienced a decline in income due to changes in kiosk layout and unstable consumer traffic. Buyers needed time to adjust to the new market arrangement, resulting in lower transaction activity compared to the period before revitalization. This study aims to analyze the differences in income of female traders before and after the revitalization and to identify the factors influencing these changes. The research employs a quantitative approach with data collected through questionnaires and in-depth interviews with market management. Data analysis was conducted using the Wilcoxon test to determine significant changes in income. The results indicate a clear difference in the income of female traders before and after the revitalization, with post-revitalization income tending to decrease. These findings suggest that the post-revitalization adaptation period affects traders’ economic stability and highlights the need for market management strategies that are more responsive to consumer visitation patterns.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of accounting knowledge, business experience, and business scale on the decision-making process of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Labuhanbatu Regency. The population in this study was 96 MSMEs in the trade sector. The study used primary data obtained through questionnaires distributed to business owners. The analytical method used was multiple linear regression analysis with the assistance of SPSS software. The results indicate that accounting knowledge has a significant influence on MSME decision-making, as an understanding of accounting helps business owners evaluate their financial condition and determine strategic steps. Meanwhile, business experience did not have a significant effect on decision-making. On the other hand, business scale was shown to have a significant influence on decision-making, as the larger the business scale, the more complex the decisions that must be made. This research is expected to provide considerations for improving the quality of MSME management.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the social impact of the Go Green concept implemented at Greenhost Boutique Hotel Yogyakarta using the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC) indicators. A qualitative descriptive approach was applied through interviews, observations, and documentation involving hotel management, employees, local community members, and small business owners. The findings reveal that Greenhost’s sustainability practices not only focus on environmental efficiency but also emphasize community empowerment, inclusive employment, and cultural preservation. The hotel creates significant social value by supporting local micro and small enterprises (MSMEs), providing job opportunities for local residents, and collaborating with artists to promote cultural identity. These initiatives foster strong social cohesion and mutual benefits between the hotel and the surrounding community. The results contribute to understanding how socially driven sustainability practices can enhance destination resilience and provide a model for other hotels seeking to implement the GSTC framework effectively.

Abstract

This study examines the role of digitalization of Microfinance Institutions (MFIs) in increasing access to financing for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Indonesia. The study was conducted through a literature review of more than 20 scientific articles, policy reports, and previous research results published between 2020 and 2025. The results indicate that the implementation of digitalization in MFIs can accelerate the financing service process, reduce operational costs, and expand service reach to remote areas previously difficult to reach by conventional financial institutions. The use of technologies such as digital lending, digital credit scoring, and electronic transaction recording has been proven to increase operational efficiency and the accuracy of MSME business feasibility analysis. However, the implementation of digitalization still faces various obstacles, including low levels of digital literacy among MSMEs, limited human resources in MFIs, and increased risks to data security and protection. Therefore, this study emphasizes the importance of strengthening digital infrastructure, increasing human resource capacity, and strategic collaboration between MFIs and fintech companies to realize inclusive and sustainable MSME financing.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of tourism in Telaga Ngebel, Ponorogo Regency, on the income of the local community and the socio-cultural changes that occur. Using a qualitative approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews and field observations conducted in March–April 2025. Data analysis was performed using the Miles and Huberman interactive model, strengthened through source and method triangulation. From an economic perspective, the findings show that the increase in the number of tourists has a significant contribution to the rise in local income. This condition encourages the development of entrepreneurial activities through the establishment of new businesses, both in the informal sector (street vendors) and formal sector (hotels and food services). This development has led to job creation and improved economic well-being for the community. From a socio-cultural perspective, tourism functions as a means of promoting local culture, including arts, traditions, and regional cuisine. Interactions with tourists also raise the awareness and pride of the community toward their cultural heritage, which indirectly supports preservation efforts. However, the study also found that some members of the community resist change, choosing to maintain local traditions and values amidst the flow of modernization.

Abstract

This study aims to examine and develop a technology-based supporting system by utilizing the Loyverse application to support operations at Traktir Kopi Cafe. In the digital era, the implementation of Management Information Systems (MIS) has become a primary pillar for MSMEs to transform conventional business models into modern ones through accurate data processing and overall operational efficiency. The primary issue identified prior to development was the reliance on manual methods prone to human error and the functional limitations of the free version of Loyverse, such as non-real-time stock recording and lack of detailed sales reports. The research methodology employs a descriptive qualitative method with a survey approach and Project-Based Learning (PjBL) stages. Data were collected through field observations, documentation, and in-depth interviews with employees at the Traktir Kopi location in Srengseng Sawah. The results indicate that upgrading the Loyverse system to the paid version provides a significant impact, including automated stock management, comprehensive sales reports for turnover analysis, and more structured employee performance monitoring. In conclusion, developing a technology-based supporting system through Loyverse not only accelerates transaction processes but also serves as a strategic data center that supports managerial decision-making and enhances customer satisfaction through more personalized and efficient service

Abstract

Pasola is a traditional cultural ritual of the people of West Sumba Regency, which holds strong historical, social, and spiritual values and also has significant potential as a cultural tourism attraction. However, its sustainability faces several challenges, including the shift from sacred meaning to tourism commodification, limited infrastructure, and suboptimal policy implementation. This study aims to analyze the role of the local government in preserving Pasola culture using the theoretical framework of government roles as regulator, dynamizer, and facilitator. This research employs a qualitative descriptive approach. Data were collected through interviews, observation, and document analysis, and analyzed using the interactive model of Miles and Huberman. The findings indicate that the West Sumba Regency Government has performed its roles relatively well. As a regulator, the government has established regulations, safety standards, and cultural promotion policies. As a dynamizer, it has encouraged community participation through cultural calendars, the formation of cultural preservation teams, and cultural education programs. As a facilitator, the government has provided financial support, infrastructure, health services, and collaboration with the private sector. Nevertheless, challenges remain in terms of policy implementation, particularly regarding safety management, equitable distribution of assistance, infrastructure quality, and consistent application of standard operating procedures. This study concludes that stronger coordination, capacity building, and continuous evaluation are essential to ensure effective, sustainable cultural preservation while maintaining the sacred values of Pasola.

Abstract

The development of culture-based tourism grounded in local wisdom is an important strategy to improve community welfare while preserving cultural and environmental sustainability. Desa Adat Tutubhada in Nagekeo Regency possesses strong cultural and natural tourism potential; however, its management still faces several challenges. This study aims to analyze the implementation of sustainable tourism principles in the development of tourism potential in Desa Adat Tutubhada. The research employed a qualitative approach using a case study method. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, field observations, and documentation, with informants selected purposively, including local government officials, village managers, and indigenous community members. Data analysis was conducted interactively through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, supported by source and technique triangulation to ensure validity. The findings indicate that tourism development in Desa Adat Tutubhada has begun to reflect sustainable tourism principles. The economic aspect is shown through the provision of tourism facilities and the development of local cultural-based enterprises; the socio-cultural aspect is maintained through the strong role of indigenous communities in preserving traditions and cultural values; and the environmental aspect is supported by local wisdom and environmental education. Nevertheless, challenges remain regarding facility quality, tourism promotion, and institutional strengthening. Therefore, enhancing community capacity, improving governance, and strengthening institutional synergy are necessary to achieve optimal and competitive sustainable tourism development.
