Abstract

KurikulumMandiri, yang diluncurkan oleh Kementerian Pendidikan, Kebudayaan, Riset, dan Teknologi (Kemendikbudristek) Indonesia pada tahun 2022, bertujuan untuk mengatasi dampak pandemi COVID-19 terhadap pendidikan dengan menempatkan siswa sebagai pusat proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini mengkaji persepsi guru dalam menerapkan Kurikulum Merdeka di dua Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA) melalui metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara dan dokumentasi dengan dua narasumber guru dari SMA A dan SMA B. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peran kepala sekolah dan komite pembelajaran sangat penting dalam perencanaan dan pelaksanaan kurikulum. Selain itu, sarana dan prasarana pendukung yang memadai serta keterlibatan aktif dalam Platform Merdeka Mengajar (PMM) menjadi faktor penting dalam mendukung implementasi kurikulum. Namun, guru menghadapi beberapa kendala, seperti kesulitan dalam mengintegrasikan mata pelajaran ke dalam proyek dan tantangan manajemen waktu. Penelitian ini menggarisbawahi perlunya dukungan dan pelatihan yang lebih baik bagi guru untuk mengatasi hambatan ini dan memastikan keberhasilan implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka. Kesimpulannya, pemahaman yang mendalam tentang perspektif guru dapat membantu dalam membuat kebijakan pendidikan lebih efektif dan relevan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas peran guru penggerak dalam implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka di SMA Negeri 11 Muaro Jambi. Kurikulum Merdeka adalah inisiatif pendidikan yang bertujuan untuk memberikan kebebasan dan fleksibilitas kepada sekolah dalam mengembangkan kurikulum sesuai dengan kebutuhan siswa dan konteks lokal. Guru penggerak berperan sebagai agen perubahan yang memimpin dan menginspirasi guru- guru lainnya untuk berinovasi dalam proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif . Data diperoleh melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipatif, dan analisis dokumen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru penggerak di SMA Negeri 11 Muaro Jambi memainkan peran kunci dalam beberapa aspek penting, yaitu: 1) mengembangkan dan mengimplementasikan strategi pembelajaran yang inovatif dan kreatif, 2) meningkatkan kompetensi profesional melalui program pelatihan dan workshop, 3) membangun budaya kolaboratif di antara para guru, dan 4) mendorong partisipasi aktif siswa dalam pembelajaran. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa keberhasilan implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka sangat bergantung pada peran aktif dan kepemimpinan guru penggerak. Rekomendasi penelitian ini mencakup perlunya dukungan berkelanjutan dari pihak sekolah dan pemerintah dalam bentuk pelatihan, sumber daya, dan kebijakan yang mendukung peran guru penggerak. Dengan demikian, implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka dapat berjalan efektif dan memberikan dampak positif terhadap peningkatan kualitas pendidikan di SMA Negeri 11 Muaro Jambi.

Abstract

  ABSTRAK Penelitian ini membahas tentang persepsi guru dalam penggunaan media pembelajaran di era Kurikulum Merdeka pada tingkat Sekolah Menengah Atas Kota Jambi. Kurikulum Merdeka memberikan kebebasan kepada guru untuk berinovasi dalam metode pengajaran, yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterlibatan siswa dan mendukung pembelajaran yang lebih relevan dengan kebutuhan zaman. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus, yang melibatkan wawancara dan dokumentasi terhadap guru di dua SMA di Jambi. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media pembelajaran sangat penting dalam mendukung proses belajar mengajar, namun beberapa kendala seperti keterbatasan waktu, ketersediaan teknologi, dan jaringan internet yang tidak stabil seringkali menghambat penggunaannya. Untuk mengatasi kendala tersebut, diperlukan pelatihan dan dukungan berkelanjutan terhadap guru. Penelitian tersebut memberikan rekomendasi kebijakan pendidikan dan program pelatihan yang dapat mendukung guru dalam mengoptimalkan penggunaan media pembelajaran sehingga tujuan Kurikulum Merdeka dapat tercapai dengan lebih efektif.

Abstract

This research discusses the personnel of Sekintang Dayo art studio. The purpose of this study is to know how the ability of the problem in accessing, evaluating and how to use and communicate information about dance music. This research is qualitative research with descriptive approach and data collection through interview method, observation and documentation. Based on the analysis and research findings, the ability of the artist members Sekintang Dayo art to access information can be categorized well. This can be seen from 18 informants who identify the sources of information used through Youtube, Instagram, Facebook, and TV, as a medium of information access. Then The ability of personnel in evaluating information can be categorized well. It can be seen that personnel evaluate the music information they obtain by comparing and sorting information. The personnel's ability to use and disseminate information can be categorized well. It can be seen that they have their own application account to disseminate music information dance.

Abstract

This article focuses on the ineffectiveness of the Grammar Translation Method (GTM) for Pakistani students regarding English learning and teaching and the inability to develop essential language skills in the context of globalization. As a product of rote-memorization and teacher-directed approach, GTM continues to encourage the learners to be mere recipients of knowledge, hinders the growth of communication skills, and ignores the factor of linguistic and regional diversity and the needs of students in a multilingual context of Pakistan. The research works under the paradigm of normative research as it evaluates educational practices concerning modern teaching norms. The main points underlined are how the method sharply encourages passive learning, disconnects from context-based experiences, and applies no solution to the linguistic and socio-economic realities of Pakistan. The discussion thus draws attention to the need for adopting a novel pedagogic approach for teaching and learning languages, such as CLT and TBL which are indeed communicative and require group participation and real-life applications. These recommendations are intended to help close the research-practice divide and bring students the skills necessary for success in school and the workplace. Pakistan is capable of transforming the conventional system of ELT by adopting progressive pedagogy to enable learners to acquire the skills and knowledge needed to prevail in the complex multilingual world. This article intends to express that the educationists, the policymakers, and the stakeholders should make a concerted effort to bring change in teaching methodologies of modern languages and should not linger on the old methods for making the future of Pakistani learners brighter and more competitive.

Abstract

This paper explores the key concepts, strategies, and challenges associated with teaching in multicultural classrooms. This article examines issues involved in teaching culturally diverse students and questions current practice in multicultural teacher education. Alternative approach to preparing teachers for multicultural classrooms. It highlights the importance of culturally responsive teaching, differentiated instruction, and promoting intercultural competence as essential strategies for engaging students from diverse backgrounds. The challenges in implementing multicultural education—such as language barriers, implicit bias, curriculum gaps, and socio-economic disparities—are also addressed. Recent research underscores the necessity of professional development for educators and systemic changes in curriculum design to better reflect cultural diversity. Through an analysis of the current landscape of multicultural education, the paper emphasizes the need for a comprehensive approach that incorporates diverse perspectives in teaching practices and institutional policies. By overcoming these challenges, educators can create learning environments where all students, regardless of background, can achieve their full potential. The conclusion underscores the importance of continuous learning, adaptability, and inclusive pedagogies in shaping the future of multicultural education.

Abstract

This research focuses on the importance of education in improving the competitiveness of the younger generation in Indonesia, especially in facing the challenges of globalization and the digital revolution. Education trends in Indonesia during the 2021-2023 period have been dominated by two main factors, namely digitalization and equal access to education. A data-driven approach is used to predict education trends in 2024, using the K-Nearest Neighbor (KNN) algorithm to analyze data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) regarding the percentage of the population aged 25 years and over who have at least a high school education, categorized by gender. The result of this research will predict the trend of education in each region in 2024 whether it is decreasing, stable, or increasing. Through data collection and literature study, this research identifies relevant patterns and presents statistically-based predictions that can serve as a reference for stakeholders in the development of education in Indonesia. The results of this study are also expected to provide insights for policymakers in formulating effective strategies to address the education gap and promote inclusive digitalization..

Abstract

This review article explores how Communicative Language Teaching(CLT)improves student engagement in English as a Second Language (ESL)classrooms. The goal of this review is to support the idea that CLT is an effective teaching approach that makes students more active and motivated in learning English.CLT focuses on communication through activities like role-plays, discussions,andgroup tasks,which encourage students to use English in real-lifesituations.Research from various experts, such as Richards (1983), Savignon (2002), and Littlewood (1981), shows that CLT increases student engagement by promoting participation and improving communicative competence. However, there are some challenges in applying CLT, such as large class sizes, mixed proficiency levels, and teacher resistance. To solve these problems, training teachers, using technology, and adapting tasks to fit local cultures are recommended. The review concludes that CLT creates a more interactive and engaging classroom environment, helping students become more confident and competent in using English.

Abstract

Indonesia’s cultural diversity presents unique opportunities and challenges in education, particularly in fostering tolerance and intercultural understanding. This study examines the implementation of Project-Based Learning (PBL) in a multicultural classroom at SMAN 2 Muara Bungo, which reflects the diversity of theMuara Bungo community, including the Minangkabau, Javanese, Jambi, and Batak tribes. Using a qualitative approach, data were collected through observation and reflection on classroom experiences. Findings indicate the effectiveness of PBL in enhancing cross-cultural collaboration, with 87% of students activelyparticipating in heterogeneous group projects, such as cultural exhibitions. Teachers play a critical role in facilitating these interactions, although challenges such as limited resources and varying levels of student engagement remain. The study concludes that PBL is an effective tool for fostering cultural inclusion, enhancing collaboration, and equipping students with essential social skills. However, additional support for teachers and students is needed to maximize its potential. These results provide valuable insights for the development of multicultural education in Indonesia.

Abstract

Pengambilan keputusan adalah proses sistematik untuk memahami, menilai, dan memilih pilihan yang tersedia untuk mencapai sasaran tertentu. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis proses penentuan keputusan yang dilakukan oleh kepala sekolah SMA N 1 Muaro Jambi dalam melaksanakan pengawasan akademik di lingkungan sekolah. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan naratif. Dilakukan dengan menerapkan interaksi yang detail. Pemeriksaan keabsahan data dengan menggunakan triangulasi. Subjek kajian ini ialah sekolah. Menggunakan bahwa proses penentuan keputusan yang dikerjakan oleh kepala sekolah SMA N 1 Muaro Jambi dalam menajalankan pengawasan akademik dilingkungan pendidikan. Kemudian dari hasil ini disarankan oleh kepala sekolah untuk melakukan perencanaan pengawasan akademik, pelaksanaan monitoring akademik, dan evaluasi akademik.
