Abstract

The tourism sector is a primary driver of Bali's economy, particularly in the SARBAGITA region (Denpasar, Badung, Gianyar, and Tabanan), which contributes the largest Regional Original Income (PAD). In contrast, areas outside SARBAGITA, including Jembrana, Buleleng, Karangasem, Bangli, and Klungkung, have more tourist attractions but contribute less to PAD, indicating a development gap. This study analyzes the influence of tourism and investment sectors on PAD in regencies outside SARBAGITA during 2016–2022. Independent variables include tourist visits, hotels, restaurants, and investment, while PAD is the dependent variable. A quantitative panel data approach using Panel Least Squares (PLS) regression was applied. Results show that tourist visits and investment have no significant partial effect on PAD, whereas hotels and restaurants positively and significantly influence PAD. Simultaneously, all four variables significantly affect PAD, with an Adjusted R-Square of 70.93%, suggesting that the variables explain most PAD variations, while 29.07% is influenced by factors outside the model. Based on these findings, it is recommended that local governments outside SARBAGITA focus on increasing tourists’ length of stay and strategically developing hotels and restaurants according to zoning regulations to ensure tourism growth is sustainable and minimizes land conversion issues.

Abstract

The investigation explores how spreading investments across assets, predicting market shifts, and the talents of fund leaders shape the results of stock-based mutual funds in Indonesia. Amid a fast-paced and rivalrous financial market scene, the achievements of these funds hinge on the approaches used by their investment overseers. Spreading out holdings across different shares lowers potential losses, whereas spotting the best market entry and exit points showcases a leader's savvy. Meanwhile, the proficiency of fund managers highlights their insight, background, and thoughtful moves to boost portfolio gains. Employing a numerical strategy, the work draws on secondary info from official performance summaries of OJK-approved stock mutual funds during a set timeframe. Fund outcomes are mainly judged using Jensen’s Alpha, and insights are drawn through multi-variable linear modeling to see the weight of each factor on performance.Findings show that asset spreading and market prediction skills have a beneficial but minor role in fund outcomes. However, manager abilities deliver a strong and meaningful boost, suggesting that the wisdom and track record of investment heads are central to stock mutual fund triumphs in Indonesia. This points to the value of expert managers for solid portfolio handling, plus the push to refine spreading and timing tactics that better match evolving market trends.

Abstract

MSMEs in Sikeben Village have the potential to sell their products widely because the quality of their products is competitive with those of other MSMEs. Currently, MSMEs in Sikeben Village face limitations in accessing wider markets due to their conventional marketing systems. This condition has resulted in the potential of local products, which actually have high selling value, being less known to consumers outside the Sikeben village area. This is evidenced by the fact that, to date, no MSMEs in Sikeben Village have utilized e-commerce to sell their products. Through this activity, the people of Sikeben Village were introduced to the use of e-commerce as a medium for online promotion and sales, while also identifying obstacles that arise in the introduction of e-commerce websites. This community service program was carried out through direct training in Sikeben Village. This community service program was carried out through direct training in Kampai Village using the Participatory Action Research (PAR) method. As a result of this activity, MSMEs began to learn how to use Facebook to market their products. Participants were taught how to create business pages, upload products, and promote them in order to reach buyers outside Sikeben Village.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of Word of Mouth (WOM) marketing strategies in building business reputation and increasing the number of customers at UD Putri Jaya Building Materials Store in Denpasar. The increasingly intense competition in the building materials retail sector requires the implementation of effective, adaptive, and low-cost marketing strategies, making WOM a strategic alternative due to its high credibility derived from real customer experiences. This research employed a descriptive qualitative method with a case study approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation involving the business owner, employees, as well as regular and new customers. Data analysis was conducted using the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that Word of Mouth serves as the primary marketing strategy at UD Putri Jaya and is formed organically through positive customer experiences. The effectiveness of WOM is supported by the implementation of the 7P marketing mix, including product quality and completeness, competitive and reasonable pricing, strategic location and delivery services, friendly and informative employee interactions, efficient service processes, and well-maintained physical facilities. These factors contribute to customer satisfaction, trust, and a positive business reputation, which in turn encourage repeat purchases, customer loyalty, and customers’ willingness to recommend UD Putri Jaya to others. Therefore, it can be concluded that Word of Mouth is an effective marketing strategy for building reputation and increasing the number of customers at UD Putri Jaya Building Materials Store in Denpasar.

Abstract

Firm value reflects investors’ perceptions of a company’s performance and future prospects. However, improvements in financial performance are not always followed by increases in firm value, particularly in manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. This phenomenon indicates that non-financial factors may also play an important role. This study aims to examine the effect of gender diversity, managerial ownership, and public ownership on firm value. The research employs a quantitative causal approach using secondary data obtained from annual reports of manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the 2021–2024 period. The sample was selected using purposive sampling, resulting in 29 companies with 116 observations. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression after passing classical assumption tests. Firm value is measured using Price to Book Value, while gender diversity is measured by the proportion of female directors, managerial ownership by the percentage of shares owned by management, and public ownership by the percentage of shares owned by the public. The results of this study are expected to provide empirical evidence regarding the role of corporate governance and ownership structure as signals that influence firm value, as well as practical implications for management, investors, and regulators in enhancing firm value.

Abstract

The high carbon emissions produced by companies in the energy sector in Indonesia have not been accompanied by an adequate level of transparency through carbon emissions disclosure, making it an important issue in the context of sustainability. This study aims to analyze the effect of green investment and good corporate governance on carbon emissions disclosure in energy sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the period 2019-2023. The dependent variable in this study is carbon emissions disclosure, while the independent variables include green investment and good corporate governance. This study uses a quantitative approach with secondary data obtained through purposive sampling, in the form of 50 annual reports and sustainability reports accessed from the official websites of the IDX and related companies. Data processing and testing were carried out using the Eviews 13 application with an i-random effect model. The analysis stages included descriptive statistics, panel data regression model selection, classical assumption testing, correlation coefficient testing, determination coefficient testing, and hypothesis testing. The results of the study show that green investment has no effect on carbon emission disclosure. Meanwhile, good corporate governance has an effect on carbon emission disclosure. Simultaneously, green investment and good corporate governance are proven to have an effect on carbon emission disclosure.

Abstract

Retail perfume MSMEs in Bali have experienced rapid growth; however, they continue to face challenges in financial management. The financial behavior of business owners such as overconfidence, anchoring, loss aversion, and risk aversion has the potential to influence the quality of financial decision-making and ultimately affect MSME financial performance. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the effects of these four financial biases on the financial performance of retail perfume MSMEs in Bali. This research employs a quantitative approach involving 100 respondents who are owners or managers of retail perfume MSMEs in Bali. Data were collected through questionnaires that had been tested for validity and reliability. Multiple linear regression analysis was used to examine the effect of each financial behavior variable on financial performance. The results indicate that all four financial behavior variables overconfidence, anchoring, loss aversion, and risk aversion have a negative and significant effect on MSME financial performance. These findings suggest that the higher the level of behavioral financial bias possessed by business actors, the lower the resulting financial performance. Psychological biases in financial decision-making are proven to be factors that weaken the effectiveness of MSME financial management. Therefore, reducing behavioral biases and improving analytical capabilities are necessary for MSME actors to make more rational financial decisions and enhance business financial performance.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the increasing interaction between customers and various digital platforms, which has given rise to the phenomenon of value co-creation, where customers no longer act as passive users but are actively involved in creating service value. This study aims to examine the effect of Value Co-Creation (X) on Customer Loyalty (Y) in the digital ecosystem in Indonesia. The research method used a quantitative approach with a survey technique, involving respondents who had been active users of digital platforms for at least six months. Data analysis was performed using simple regression in SPSS to examine the direct relationship between variables. The results show that Value Co-Creation has a positive and significant effect on Customer Loyalty, meaning that the higher the customer's involvement in the co-creation process, the higher their level of loyalty to the digital platform. Theoretically, this finding strengthens the literature on the importance of customer participation in digital services as a factor in shaping loyalty. Practically, this research provides implications for digital platform managers to continue encouraging user participation through interaction, feedback, and personalization to increase customer retention and loyalty.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the relationship between profitability, firm size, and audit quality and firm value in food and beverage companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the 2019–2023 period. Firm value is proxied by Price to Book Value (PBV), profitability is measured using Return on Assets (ROA), firm size is measured by the natural logarithm of total assets, while audit quality is proxied by the auditor’s opinion. This study employs a quantitative associative approach using secondary data obtained from annual financial statements and independent audit reports. The research sample consists of 19 food and beverage companies, resulting in 95 firm-year observations, selected using purposive sampling. Data analysis techniques include descriptive statistics, classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression analysis, and hypothesis testing using SPSS version 25. The results show that profitability, firm size, and audit quality simultaneously have a significant effect on firm value. However, partially, profitability, firm size, and audit quality do not have a significant effect on firm value. These findings indicate that investors in the food and beverage sector do not rely solely on profitability, company size, or auditor opinions when assessing firm value, but also consider other factors such as growth prospects, business stability, and long-term managerial strategies. This study is expected to contribute to the literature on firm value and provide practical implications for management and investors in investment decision-making.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the level of lean warehouse implementation and the dominant aspects that can affect the productivity of shipping operations at PT. ABC. The approach adopted in this study is quantitative descriptive by distributing questionnaires to respondents involved in shipping operations both in administration and in the field. The results obtained that the level of lean warehouse implementation reached 55.17%, which indicates that most lean warehouse aspects have been implemented but are not optimal in some aspects. The dimensions of motion, waiting, overprocessing, transportation, and flow management are still in the "less good" category, while defects and HRM are classified as "good". This condition is at the level of shipping operational productivity which only reached 53%. The lean warehouse aspects that most dominantly affect productivity are waiting and motion, which are related to punctuality as well as the arrangement and quantity of work in the warehouse. This study provides recommendations for improving lean warehouse implementation, especially in dimensions that are still less than optimal. Improving process arrangement and reducing waiting time will increase overall efficiency and productivity, thereby influencing company performance in achieving better operational goals.
