Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of the use of digital payment systems, pricing, and service quality on customer satisfaction at VOC Kafe Ciblon Brebes. The background of this study is the increasing trend of using technology in payment transactions, as well as the increasingly tight business competition in the culinary sector which requires management to optimize pricing and service strategies. The research method used is quantitative with a causal approach. The population in this study were all customers of VOC Kafe Ciblon Brebes, with a total of 100 respondents selected using a saturated sampling technique. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, documentation, and distribution of structured questionnaires. Data analysis was carried out using multiple linear regression to determine the magnitude of the influence of each independent variable on customer satisfaction. The results showed that the use of digital payment systems, pricing, and service quality simultaneously had a positive and significant effect on customer satisfaction. Partially, the pricing variable had the most dominant influence, followed by service quality, and finally the use of digital payment systems. The coefficient of determination (R Square) of 0.606 indicates that these three variables explain 60.6% of the variation in customer satisfaction, while the remaining 39.4% is influenced by factors outside the research model, such as promotion, location, or cafe atmosphere. These findings provide practical implications for the management of VOC Kafe Ciblon Brebes to increase customer satisfaction by implementing a competitive pricing strategy, maintaining and improving service quality, and optimizing the ease and security of the digital payment system. This research also contributes to the academic literature on factors influencing customer satisfaction in the culinary sector, particularly in cafes that integrate modern payment technology.

Abstract

Within the framework of implementing village autonomy, village government plays a strategic role as the spearhead of the provision of high-quality, effective public services that meet community needs. As the frontline government unit, villages are expected to fulfill the principles of good governance through transparent, accountable, participatory, and responsive services. This study aims to explore the performance of government personnel in Jati Village in providing public services, while also analyzing community perceptions of the quality of services received. This study used a descriptive qualitative method with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation studies. The results indicate that, in general, the community of Jati Village has a positive perception of the performance of village government officials, particularly regarding punctuality, friendly service, and information transparency. Village officials are considered capable of responding to community administrative needs fairly quickly and clearly. However, several obstacles were identified that affect the optimization of public services, including the lack of active community participation in the village decision-making process and a low understanding of applicable administrative procedures and service mechanisms among some residents. These obstacles impact the effectiveness of interactions between the village government and the community, potentially delaying the completion of certain services. In response to these challenges, the Jati Village Government is striving to increase transparency in its performance by openly disseminating information, expanding access to community participation in village deliberation forums, and implementing educational and outreach programs related to public service procedures. These efforts are expected to not only strengthen the performance of village officials but also build community awareness, understanding, and involvement in supporting the creation of higher-quality and sustainable public services.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the mediating role of work engagement in the relationship between job crafting and employee performance at Dewi Agung Management. The research approach uses a quantitative method with an associative design. The study population was all 60 Dewi Agung Management employees, and all were sampled through a saturated sampling technique. Data collection was carried out using a Likert-scale questionnaire that had undergone validity and reliability tests. Data analysis used the Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) method with the help of SmartPLS 4.1 software. The results of the study indicate that job crafting has a positive and significant influence on work engagement and employee performance. In addition, work engagement has been proven to have a positive and significant influence on performance. Another important finding is that work engagement plays a significant mediator in the relationship between job crafting and employee performance. Theoretically, the results of this study strengthen the Job Demands-Resources Theory (JD-R), which states that the balance between job demands and the availability of work resources can increase work engagement and encourage the achievement of optimal performance. This study confirms that job crafting is not only an adaptive strategy but also a proactive approach that enables employees to develop higher emotional and cognitive engagement with their work. The practical implication of this finding is the importance of organizations facilitating employee job crafting through flexible policies, training, and adequate work resource support. From a theoretical perspective, this study contributes to the growing literature on proactive work behavior, job engagement, and employee performance, and serves as a foundation for further research in human resource management, particularly engagement-based performance improvement strategies and job adjustments undertaken independently by employees.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of investment knowledge and risk perception on investment decisions, with investment interest as an intervening variable among college students in Semarang City. The background of this study is based on the phenomenon of increasing awareness of the younger generation regarding the importance of investment, but still found differences in investment decision-making behavior. This study uses a quantitative approach with primary data obtained by distributing questionnaires to respondents who meet the research criteria. The population in this study were college students in Semarang City, with a sample of 130 people selected using a purposive sampling technique. The research instrument was a questionnaire designed to measure the level of investment knowledge, risk perception, investment interest, and investment decisions. Data analysis was performed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with the help of SmartPLS 4.0 software to test direct and indirect relationships between variables. The results showed that investment knowledge did not significantly influence investment interest or investment decisions. Conversely, risk perception had a positive and significant influence on investment interest and investment decisions. Other findings showed that investment interest did not significantly influence investment decisions. Furthermore, the investment interest variable did not act as a mediator in the relationship between investment knowledge and risk perception on investment decisions. The implications of this research indicate that accurate risk perception can encourage students to be more interested and bold in making investment decisions, while investment knowledge alone is insufficient to influence investment behavior without experience and confidence in facing risks. These findings are expected to provide input for relevant parties, including educational institutions and financial industry players, in designing more effective investment literacy programs, particularly for students as potential future investors.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of variations in menu, price, and delivery services on consumer purchasing decisions at Garuda Medan Johor restaurant. The study population was 133 people, with the determination of the sample using the Slovin formula to obtain 100 respondents. The approach used is quantitative with multiple linear regression analysis method. The results of the analysis showed that partially, the variable price (X₂) and Delivery service (x₂) have a positive and significant influence on the purchase decision. The value of t-calculate for Price is 5,838 and for Delivery service is 6,823, both of which are greater than t-table 1,985 (③=0.05; df = 96), with significance level 0,000 < 0.05. This indicates that the more appropriate the price and the better the delivery service, the higher the tendency of consumers to make purchases. In contrast, the variation of the Menu (X₁) did not have a significant effect partially, with t-count 0.728 and significance 0.468 > 0.05, which means the difference or diversity of the menu is not a major factor in purchasing decisions at the study site. Simultaneously, the three research variables significantly influence the purchase decision, indicated by the value of F-count of 382.948 which far exceeds the F-table of 2.70, with a significance level of 0.000. The Adjusted R Square value of 0.920 indicates that 92.0% of the variation in purchasing decisions can be explained by a combination of variable variations in menus, prices, and delivery services, while the remaining 8.0% is influenced by other factors that are not included in the model, such as promotion, brand image, or taste quality of food. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that competitive prices and effective delivery services are the dominant factors influencing consumer purchasing decisions at Garuda Medan Johor restaurants, while menu variation is not the main consideration. Therefore, marketing strategies and restaurant management should prioritize price control and improving the quality of delivery services to retain and attract consumers.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the contribution of personality to workplace loneliness in health workers. Workplace loneliness or loneliness at work is a psychological condition that can affect the well-being and performance of health workers, especially in work environments with high demands. This study uses a quantitative approach with a correlational method, involving 60 health workers selected through accidental sampling technique. The data collection instruments consisted of Loneliness at Workplace Scale (LAWS) to measure the level of workplace loneliness and IPIP-BFM-50 to measure five dimensions of personality, namely openness to experience, conscientiousness, extraversion, agreeableness, and neuroticism. Data analysis was done using multiple linear regression with the help of SPSS 25 software. The results showed a significant relationship between personality and workplace loneliness (p = 0.000; p < 0.05). The value of the coefficient of determination (R2) of 0.413 indicates that personality as a whole contributes 41.3% to the variation of workplace loneliness. Among the Five personality dimensions measured, neuroticism showed the largest contribution to workplace loneliness, at 49.06%, followed by other dimensions that contributed in a smaller proportion. These findings confirm that individuals with high levels of neuroticism tend to be more prone to experiencing loneliness in the work environment, likely due to a tendency to experience negative emotions, worry, and insecurity in social interactions. The results of this study have important implications for Human Resource Management in the health sector. An understanding of the contribution of personality to workplace loneliness can be the basis for the development of intervention strategies, such as social skills improvement programs, psychological support, and adjustments to the work environment to be more inclusive and support the well-being of health workers. Thus, efforts to reduce workplace loneliness need not only focus on situational factors, but also consider individual personality characteristics.

Abstract

Listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), the energy sector is a key driver of national economic development as it drives strategies to support domestic energy needs and industrial growth. However, this sector is also highly vulnerable to global energy price fluctuations, changes in government regulations, and imbalances between energy demand and supply, which directly impact companies' operational and financial stability. In these dynamic conditions, efficient internal resource management is key to maintaining and improving company financial performance, particularly through the management of working capital turnover and cash turnover. This study aims to analyze the effect of working capital turnover and cash turnover on net profit margins in energy sector companies listed on the IDX during the 2021–2024 period. The method used in this study is a quantitative approach with secondary data obtained from annual financial reports. The sampling technique used was a purposive sampling method to ensure the samples taken were relevant to the research criteria. The results show that the working capital turnover variable (X1) has no significant effect on net profit margin (Y), while cash turnover (X2) actually shows a significant negative effect on net profit margin. Simultaneously, these two variables significantly influence net profit margin with a coefficient of determination (R²) of 26.6%. This indicates that 26.6% of the variation in net profit margin can be explained by working capital turnover and cash turnover, while the remaining 73.4% is influenced by other factors not analyzed in this study, such as operational efficiency, cost structure, global energy prices, or corporate risk management. This study suggests that suboptimal cash management can negatively impact company profitability, necessitating a more efficient cash management strategy in the energy sector.

Abstract

This study examines the implementation of the Beres Sehari (Rengse Sapoe) service model for Land and Building Tax (Pajak Bumi dan Bangunan/PBB) at the Regional Revenue Agency (Badan Pendapatan Daerah/Bapenda) of Bandung City. The research employs a qualitative descriptive approach, with data collected through interviews and documentation. Data analysis is conducted through three stages: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing, while source triangulation is used to ensure the validity and reliability of findings. The results reveal that human resource capacity and stable internet connectivity are key factors for achieving effective and efficient service delivery. Furthermore, the study highlights the importance of developing a dedicated Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for the Rengse Sapoe service to ensure an organized, consistent, and accountable process. Sustainable service development is envisioned through the integration of other public services, including population administration, licensing, motor vehicle tax (PKB) payments, and community-focused activities such as low-cost bazaars. Such integration aims to enhance public accessibility to various essential services beyond PBB transactions. Despite these potentials, several challenges are identified, including the absence of formal documentation for the activities and limited outreach or socialization efforts to the public, which may hinder service optimization. To address these issues, the study recommends preparing formal activity proposals and implementing routine outreach programs to increase public awareness and participation. Overall, the findings contribute to understanding how localized public service innovations, such as Beres Sehari (Rengse Sapoe), can improve tax service delivery while simultaneously fostering public engagement in other administrative and community services. The study emphasizes the necessity of strengthening both operational and promotional strategies to ensure long-term service sustainability and greater societal benefits.

Abstract

This study aims to examine and analyze the influence of several individual and situational factors on the auditor’s ability to detect fraud, which is an essential competence in maintaining the integrity of financial reporting. The variables observed in this research include work experience, professional skepticism, independence, time pressure, and workload. The study was conducted in Jakarta and involved auditors working at Public Accounting Firms (KAP) across the city. Using a quantitative approach, the research employed a survey method with a total sample of 240 auditors who were selected as respondents. Data were collected through structured questionnaires and then analyzed using multiple linear regression, with statistical processing carried out using SPSS version 26. The findings of this study indicate that four variables—work experience, professional skepticism, independence, and time pressure—have a positive and significant influence on the auditor’s ability to detect fraud. This suggests that auditors who possess greater professional experience, a high level of skepticism, and strong independence are more capable of identifying fraud, even under conditions of time pressure. Interestingly, time pressure, which is often considered a constraint in auditing, was found to enhance fraud detection ability, possibly because it drives auditors to focus and prioritize critical aspects of their tasks. In contrast, the workload variable did not show a significant impact, indicating that the number of tasks or assignments alone may not reduce or improve an auditor’s effectiveness in detecting fraud. Overall, the study contributes to the understanding of the factors that shape auditors’ effectiveness in detecting fraudulent activities. The results emphasize the importance of enhancing auditor competence through continuous training and professional development, fostering independence in decision-making, and maintaining an optimal balance in task allocation.
