Abstract

Digital transformation has significantly changed the banking industry through the implementation of digital banking as a strategic approach to improve service quality and financial performance. This study aims to analyze the role of digital banking in improving the financial performance of banks in Indonesia using a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach. The study employed secondary data from 27 national and international scientific articles collected from Google Scholar, Scopus, ScienceDirect, MDPI, Emerald Insight, and SINTA-indexed journals. The data were analyzed using content analysis by identifying, classifying, and synthesizing previous research findings concerning digital banking implementation, technology adoption factors, and their impacts on banking financial performance. The findings indicate that digital banking generally has a positive effect on banking profitability, particularly on Return on Assets (ROA), Return on Equity (ROE), and operational efficiency as reflected by a lower Operating Expenses to Operating Income (BOPO) ratio. However, these benefits depend on the maturity of digital transformation, organizational digital capabilities, cybersecurity readiness, and the level of customer technology adoption. This study contributes by providing a comprehensive synthesis of the relationship between digital banking and banking financial performance and is expected to serve as a valuable reference for academics, practitioners, and policymakers in supporting the digital transformation of Indonesia's banking industry.

Abstract

Gold prices tend to fluctuate over time, which may influence consumers' decisions when purchasing precious metals. In addition, the wide variety of gold investment products available in the market has made consumers more selective in choosing the products they intend to purchase. Under these circumstances, price and brand image are considered factors that may affect consumers' purchasing decisions toward ANTAM gold bullion products. This study aims to examine the influence of price and brand image on purchasing decisions of ANTAM gold bullion in South Jakarta. This research employed a quantitative method, with data collected through questionnaires distributed to 96 respondents who had previously purchased ANTAM gold bullion. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis with the assistance of SPSS software. The results indicate that price has a positive and significant effect on purchasing decisions, with a t-value of 4.592 and a significance value of 0.001. Brand image also has a positive and significant effect on purchasing decisions, with a t-value of 4.604 and a significance value of 0.001. Simultaneously, price and brand image significantly influence purchasing decisions, as indicated by an F-value of 80.826 and a significance value of 0.001. The coefficient of determination of 63.5% indicates that price and brand image are able to explain 63.5% of the variation in consumers' purchasing decisions.

Abstract

This study attempts to examine how farmers' knowledge and behavior regarding rat control affect rice yields in Mojolegi Village, Teras, Boyolali. This study applies a quantitative approach by selecting 53 farmers as samples through a simple random sampling technique. Data collection was conducted using a questionnaire using a Likert scale and analyzed through multiple linear regression using SPSS software. The findings of this study indicate that farmers' knowledge has no significant effect on rice yields (t = -0.535; sig. = 0.595), while attitudes have a positive and significant effect (t = 3.609; sig. <0.001). The results show that farmers' behavior and knowledge have a significant effect on rice farming productivity (F = 27.190; sig. = <0.001). These two variables contribute 52.1% of the variation in rice farming productivity, according to the R2 value of 0.521. Other factors not included in this study contribute 47.9% of the variation. In addition, it was found that farmer behavior plays a more significant role in increasing rice farming productivity.

Abstract

Leverage is one of the essential aspects of financial management that enables companies to obtain funding through debt to finance operational activities and investment projects. Proper use of leverage can improve profitability, optimize capital structure, and enhance firm value. However, excessive leverage may increase financial risks, including financial distress and potential bankruptcy. This study aims to analyze the role of leverage in financial decision-making, its benefits, and the risks associated with its implementation. The research employs a descriptive qualitative method using a library research approach by reviewing relevant books, scientific journals, and academic literature. The findings indicate that leverage has a significant influence on financing decisions, capital structure, profitability, and firm value. Optimal leverage can improve a company's financial performance when supported by effective debt management and sufficient cash flow generation. Therefore, companies should carefully consider their financial condition, interest rates, business risks, and growth prospects before determining their leverage policy.

Abstract

The sustainability of student-run businesses remains a significant challenge despite the implementation of various entrepreneurship development programs in higher education institutions. Many student entrepreneurs discontinue their businesses due to difficulties in transforming entrepreneurial intentions into consistent entrepreneurial behavior and sustainable business practices. This study aims to examine the influence of entrepreneurial intention and entrepreneurial behavior on the sustainability of student businesses in Tasikmalaya. A quantitative approach with a causal-associative research design was employed to analyze the relationships among the research variables. Primary data were collected through structured questionnaires distributed to 100 students who had current or previous experience in operating a business. The collected data were analyzed using appropriate statistical techniques to determine the magnitude and significance of the relationships between variables. The results demonstrate that both entrepreneurial intention and entrepreneurial behavior have a positive and statistically significant effect on business sustainability. Among the two independent variables, entrepreneurial intention exhibits a stronger influence than entrepreneurial behavior, indicating that students with stronger entrepreneurial aspirations are more likely to maintain sustainable business activities. These findings suggest that the sustainability of student businesses depends not only on the willingness to become entrepreneurs but also on the ability to translate entrepreneurial intentions into effective business management practices. The study highlights the importance of strengthening entrepreneurial motivation and practical entrepreneurial competencies through higher education programs to support long-term student business sustainability.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) make a significant contribution to the Indonesian economy, particularly by increasing Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and creating employment opportunities. The success of MSMEs is influenced by various factors, including entrepreneurial knowledge and entrepreneurs’ characteristics. This study aims to examine the effect of entrepreneurial knowledge and entrepreneurs’ characteristics on the business success of MSMEs in Singaparna District. The study employed a quantitative approach using a causal associative method. The research sample consisted of 97 MSME owners selected through a purposive sampling technique, while the sample size was determined using Cochran’s formula. Data were collected through a questionnaire using a five-point Likert scale and analyzed with SPSS version 25. The findings indicate that entrepreneurial knowledge does not have a significant effect on the business success of MSMEs. In contrast, entrepreneurs’ characteristics have a positive and significant effect on business success and represent a more dominant factor than entrepreneurial knowledge. These findings suggest that the success of MSMEs is more strongly influenced by entrepreneurs’ characteristics, such as attitudes, behavior, and managerial abilities, than by entrepreneurial knowledge alone. Therefore, developing entrepreneurial characteristics should become a priority in efforts to enhance the success and competitiveness of MSMEs.
