Abstract

The main objective of agrarian reform in Indonesia is to achieve social welfare through equitable land distribution. This effort is mandated by Article 10 Paragraph (1) of Law No. 5 of 1960 (UUPA), which requires owners to actively cultivate agricultural land, and is reinforced by the prohibition of Absentee land ownership in Government Regulation No. 224 of 1961. However, the implementation of this policy has been ambivalent due to the exemption for civil servants through Government Regulation No. 4 of 1977. This study aims to analyze how this exemption has implications for agrarian inequality and how it relates to land conflicts in Indonesia. Using normative juridical methods and a legislative approach as well as case studies of court decisions, the results of this study show that the exemption for civil servants has created a new class of landlords that exacerbates structural inequality in land ownership. Based on data on agrarian conflicts, this exemption is often abused, which hinders land redistribution to small farmers. In terms of distributive justice theory, this policy is considered disproportionate because it prioritizes the economic security of state officials over the land sovereignty of local communities. This study recommends the need to revise Government Regulation No. 4 of 1977 and strengthen the digital land registration monitoring system to ensure that the social function of land is maintained and to close legal loopholes that perpetuate inequality.

Abstract

Early childhood motor development, particularly balance and coordination skills, is strongly influenced by the type of physical activities provided. One appropriate form of physical activity is push bike training. A push bike is a pedal-less bicycle that enables children to develop body control, maintain stability, and improve coordination through foot propulsion and balance regulation. This study aimed to examine the effect of push bike training on improving balance and coordination abilities in early childhood at the Surabaya Runbike Kids Club. The research employed a quasi experimental method using a Pretest Posttest Control Group Design. The participants consisted of 10 children aged 5–6 years, divided into an experimental group and a control group, with five children in each group. The research instruments included a straight line walking test to assess balance and a lateral jump test to measure coordination. Data analysis was conducted using the Shapiro Wilk test, Levene’s test, Paired Sample t-Test, and Independent Sample t-Test. The results indicated a significant improvement in the experimental group for both balance and coordination skills. Significant differences were also found between the experimental and control groups in posttest scores for balance and coordination. In conclusion, push bike training is effective in enhancing balance and coordination abilities in early childhood.

Abstract

The relationship between the two legal subjects who entered into an agreement resulted in the emergence of a bond in the form of rights and obligations of both parties to an achievement, for that coal transportation agreement from South Kalimantan to Belawan - Medan which should be scheduled on May 16 - 19, 2017, but in reality from May 19 - 23, 2017 there was a Force Majeure in the form of a major flood which resulted in the inability to carry out Haulinng activities (Coal Transportation), thus making the issuance of a fine for breach of contract by imposing Demurrage fees. In this study, the formulation is how a lawsuit for breach of contract can occur in a coal shipping agreement in a force majeure situation and how the judge's decision is considered regarding the determination of unilateral fine sanctions in force majeure in a coal shipping agreement from Kalimantan to Medan. This study is also useful for analyzing the criteria for breach of contract in force majeure in a coal shipping agreement and for analyzing the resolution of the determination of unilateral fine sanctions in force majeure in a coal shipping agreement from Kalimantan to Medan. Which in this study uses a normative juridical research method. According to the theory of justice, if the force majeure event can be proven by only one party with evidence that cannot be denied, then both parties are obliged to set aside/ignore the agreement first until the force majeure can be resolved. Therefore, it can be concluded that the Judge's consideration is also in line with the application of the force majeure clause, but the fines submitted by the Panel of Judges still impose fines on both parties because both have suffered losses.

Abstract

Indonesia, as a country governed by law, cannot be separated from the regulations stated in legislation and other regulations related to the fulfillment of rights and obligations. Before the law, every citizen is entitled to the same rights and obligations. In cases of criminal acts such as vigilantism, there are regulations in place for dealing with such actions. Therefore, legal protection for victims of vigilantism must also be upheld to achieve justice in the nation and the state. The author aims to write this article to assess the effectiveness of protection measures for victims and the criminal penalties for perpetrators of vigilantism. The method used in this article is a qualitative descriptive approach. The data collection technique used by the author is through literature review from previous articles. Based on the findings presented, it can be concluded that legal protection for victims of vigilantism has been regulated by law enforcement, ensuring that it is a realization of the rights of Indonesian citizens. However, even though there are laws and regulations in place, all citizens of Indonesia, both from the government and society, must continue to fulfill their rights and obligations to create welfare for the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI).

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to (1) reveal the social behavior habitus of the main character in the novel Mbojo Mambure by Parange Anaranggana based on Bourdieu's perspective, and (2) identify the domains/arenas of the main character's social behavior in the novel. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach. The research problem raised is how habitus and arenas can influence the behavior and worldview of the main character in Mbojo Mambure. The data collection technique used is reading and note-taking, while data analysis is conducted using Miles and Huberman’s technique, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study show that (1) the social behavior habitus of the main character in this novel includes habits such as gambling, collecting pornographic videos, dressing like a woman, consuming alcohol, and engaging in same-sex relationships; (2) the arenas of the main character’s social behavior consist of the transvestite arena, alcohol addiction arena, prostitution arena, and education arena. This study provides insights into how various social and cultural factors influence the behavior and perspective of the character in the novel.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of social media usage intensity on social anxiety in adolescents at Senior High School X in Sidoarjo. The study used a quantitative approach with a correlational method, involving 279 students as a sample selected using a probability sampling technique with stratified sampling. Data collection was carried out through a Likert scale questionnaire that measured the intensity of social media usage and social anxiety, with reliability test results showing very strong Cronbach alpha values ​​for both variables. Data analysis using simple linear regression showed that the intensity of social media usage significantly influenced social anxiety with a significance value of 0.032 (p < 0.05) and a coefficient of determination of 55.9%, which means that the intensity of social media usage contributes significantly to the level of social anxiety in adolescents. The results also showed that the majority of students were in the category of moderate intensity of social media usage and social anxiety. This finding indicates that the higher the intensity of social media usage, the higher the social anxiety experienced by adolescents, so that wise management of social media usage is needed to minimize the negative impact on adolescent mental health.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the lack of use of learning media on the topic “I Love Indonesia” ar RA Perwanida 2 Palembang, which has resulted in low focus and interest in learning among studets. In fact, instilling a sense of patriotism from an early age is very important. The purpose of this study is to develop a Palembang culture-based pop-up book media to instill a sense of patriotism in early childhood. This research uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE development model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The research subjects were class B5 students of RA Perwanida 2 Palembang. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation, with data analysis conducted through validity, practicality, and effectiveness tests. The validity test results showed that the media was categorized as highly valid: material expert I (74%), material expert II (82.85%), language expert (90%), and media expert (98.57%). The practicality test by practitioners scored 94.54% (very practical). The effectiveness test in the initial field trial showed results of 80% (interview) and 91% (instrument), while in the main field trial the results were 80% (interview) and 92.01% (instrument). The hypothesis test showed that the t-count was 56.55 > t-table 2.04, indicating a significant influence of using the media. Thus, the Palembang culture-based pop-up book media is declared valid, practical, and effective for instilling a sense of patriotism.

Abstract

This study aims to: (1) identify and describe the picture of the difficulty of reading the Qur'an among students at SMA Mandala Trikora Jayapura, and (2) identify and describe the efforts of Islamic Religious Education teachers in overcoming the difficulty of reading the Qur'an among students at SMA Mandala Trikora Jayapura. These objectives were formulated to gain a deeper understanding of the condition of students' ability to read the Qur'an and the strategies used by teachers to improve this ability. The type of research used in this study is qualitative research. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study show that: (1) The picture of the difficulty of reading the Qur'an among students at SMA Mandala Trikora Jayapura is still quite diverse. Some students have difficulty pronouncing several hijaiyah letters, such as the letters 'ain, tsa, qof, shin, shad, ghain, and kha. Furthermore, students also experience difficulties in understanding punctuation marks, such as tasydid and long punctuation marks (mad), and are not yet fully able to apply the rules of tajweed, such as idgham and ikhfa'. Some students were even found to be unable to read the Qur'an well, such as not being fluent, not being able to pronounce the letters correctly, and not adhering to the rules of tajweed. (2) Efforts made by Islamic Religious Education teachers to overcome these difficulties in reading the Qur'an include extracurricular Qur'an reading activities held every two weeks, namely on Wednesdays and Fridays after school hours, with a duration of approximately one to two hours per meeting. Furthermore, teachers also implement a peer tutoring method and conduct regular evaluations of students' Qur'an reading to gradually improve their reading skills.

Abstract

 The development of social media, especially the TikTok application, has various influences on adolescent behavior, including the aspect of student morality in the school environment. This study aims to: (1) determine the description of student morality at MA Baiturrahim Jayapura, and (2) analyze the impact of TikTok social media use on student morality at MA Baiturrahim Jayapura. This study uses a qualitative approach with a field research type. Data sources in this study consist of primary data obtained from informants through interviews and observations, as well as secondary data obtained from books, documents, and relevant research results. The determination of informants was carried out using purposive sampling and snowball sampling techniques. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data validity was tested through credibility, transferability, dependability, and confirmability tests. Data analysis was carried out through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study show that student morality at MA Baiturrahim Jayapura has a variety of behaviors. Some students still show a lack of discipline towards school rules, such as underestimating the applicable rules, while others continue to comply with the established rules. Research findings also indicate that TikTok use influences student behavior, particularly in the way they speak, which is influenced by the content they consume on social media. Lack of supervision and enforcement from schools also contributes to this behavior. Therefore, student awareness of the importance of using social media wisely, along with the active role of teachers and schools in providing guidance, is needed to ensure that social media use does not negatively impact students' moral development.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the description of the politeness of students at SD Negeri Inpres Tanjung Ria and to determine the role of Islamic Religious Education teachers in instilling politeness in students at the school. This study used a qualitative approach with the researcher as the key instrument. The data sources in this study consisted of primary data obtained from Islamic Religious Education teachers and students, as well as secondary data derived from supporting documents. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data validity was tested using source triangulation, technical triangulation, time triangulation, extended observation, and member check. The data analysis techniques were carried out through the stages of data collection, data reduction, data presentation (data display), and verification or drawing conclusions. The results of the study showed that: (1) students at SD Negeri Inpres Tanjung Ria generally have demonstrated good politeness. This can be seen from their daily behavior in the school environment, such as respecting teachers and all school members, respecting each other without differentiating between friends, using good language when talking to teachers and friends, listening carefully to teacher explanations, and wearing uniforms in accordance with school regulations. This attitude provides a positive response in the school environment, thus facilitating the habituation of good behavior not only at school but also in the community. (2) The role of Islamic Religious Education teachers in instilling polite attitudes in students is carried out through providing routine direction and guidance, implementing rules during the learning process, forming random discussion groups without differentiating between male and female students, with the aim of allowing students to get to know each other's characters, dare to express their opinions, and foster self-confidence in interactions.
