This type of research is explanatory research which is quantitative with data collection techniques using questionnaires. The selected sample is a saturated sample with fifty-one permanent employees. Validity and reliability tests are used in this study for testing instruments with hypothesis testing using multiple linear regression analysis, path analysis and sobel tests. The results of the study indicate that the variables of organizational culture have a positive effect on employee performance. Partial organizational culture have a positive effect on employee performance and work motivation can mediate the effect between organizational culture on employee performance, therefore, companies need to improve the optimization of organizational culture and work motivation to improve employee performance.

Abstract

Container depots serve as distribution centers connecting manufacturers to consumers viamaritime routes. To enhance service quality, this research aims to measure the service timesinvolved in the container reception and delivery processes at the depot. The analysis isconducted by collecting time data through direct observation and interviews with relevantstakeholders. One methods utilized is value stream mapping. focusing on identifying nonvalue added activities within the container transfer process. The study reveals significant leadand cycle times for various activities: during the receiving phase, the lead time recorded is2,514.43 seconds with a cycle time of 1,262.35 seconds, while the delivery phase shows alead time of 2,280.21 seconds and a cycle time of 1,301.89 seconds. Through VSM, theanalysis highlights inefficiencies in the container transfer process, emphasizing areas wherenon-value added activities contribute to delays and increased operational times. Bypinpointing these inefficiencies, the study aims to provide actionable insights to streamlineprocesses, reduce lead and cycle times, and enhance overall operational efficiency at thedepot.

Abstract

The performance of ship repair projects at a shipyard company in East Java has not reached optimal levels, as evidenced by the inability to meet project completion targets. This study aims to analyze internal and external factors, formulate performance improvement strategies, and prioritize these strategies. The analysis identified 6 strengths, 6 weaknesses, 4 opportunities, and 6 threats. Based on SWOT analysis, 8 main strategies were identified. AHP analysis shows that the top priority strategy is implementing double cash. This is crucial as sudden additional work from the Owner Surveyor (OS) often disrupts planning and resource allocation. With double cash, the project team can efficiently handle additional tasks without disturbing the existing budget, address OS decision delays, and reduce disruptions to human resources and facilities, ensuring smooth operations and timely project completion. The second priority strategy is enhancing effective communication with OS to expedite decision-making and optimize resource allocation. The third priority is managing or evaluating customer payment terms to maintain stable cash flow, reduce financial risks, and avoid project delays.

Abstract

East Java Province has abundant potential in the fisheries sector, both production factors and geographical conditions of the sea. The production factor of capture fisheries in East Java in 2017-2022 tends to increase but contributes little to the GRDP of East Java. The variables used in this study are the number of fishermen and GRDP of districts/cities in East Java. The study aims to analyze the effect of the number of fishermen on GRDP in East Java and analyze the differences in each subsector. The research used a saturated sample technique, with panel data regression as the analysis test. The study is divided into two models, namely model I (marine fisheries) and model II (inland public waters). The results showed that in both models the number of fishermen had a significant positive effect on GRDP. This is because the increasing number of fishermen will increase the catch of fish and the income earned. The increased income will contribute to the economic growth of a region or what is referred to as GRDP. Marine fishermen tend to have more numbers than inland public water fishermen because a larger area will require more labor.

Abstract

The contribution of the fisheries economy in Indonesia was very minimal to the national economy and does not align with the increase of fisheries exporst in Indonesia. This research aimed to analyze the influences of the gross regional domestic product (GRDP), and the value of fisheries production to the value of fisheries export in Indonesia in 2016-2022 also moderated by foreign direct investment (FDI) in the fisheries sector. This research was causal quantitative research using secondary data from the Ministry of Fishery and Ocean, Ministry of Trade, and Badan Pusat Statistik. The result of the study showed that partially, the variables of gross regional domestic product (GRDP) and fisheries production value have a positive effect on the value of fisheries exports, and foreign investment has a negative effect on the value of fisheries exports,. Foreign investment can negatively moderate the relationship between the value of fisheries production and the value of fisheries exports, but foreign investment is not able to moderate the relationship between GRDP to the value of fisheries exports. Policy, program, and action that focus on producer and production had to be a priority.

Abstract

This research was conducted at a Logistic Company in Surabaya, where employee work demands were increasing but inversely proportional to the number of employees who are decreasing due to resignation. High work demands make most employees work overtime, which can affect employees' work-life balance. The company explained that it does not have an overtime system, so employees do not receive incentives as compensation for the extra contributions made. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of work-life balance and compensation on employee job satisfaction. The study used multiple linear regression analysis. The data used with a sampling technique is saturated sample. The data were processed using SPSS 25 with the results of the t test showing the value of t count 2,519> 2,026 t table and a significance value of 0,016 < 0,05, so that work-life balance partially affects job satisfaction. The t value is 5,104> 2,026 t table and the significance value is 0.000 < 0.05, so compensation partially affects job satisfaction. The results of the f test show the value of f count 18,749 > 4,105 F table and a significance value of 0,000 <0,05, so it can be concluded that work-life balance and compensation simultaneously affect job satisfaction

Abstract

Supplier performance assessment in shipping service companies so far only includes price criteria and administrative completeness. This performance assessment is not optimal, so the problem of negligence caused by some suppliers continues to occur every year. More than 50% of suppliers have committed negligence at least once. Based on these problems, this research was conducted to determine the criteria and sub-criteria that affect supplier performance assessment. Furthermore, assessing supplier performance based on predetermined criteria and subcriteria. The AHP method is used for weighting criteria and sub-criteria for performance assessment. The results obtained with the AHP method are the quality criteria getting the largest weight, namely (0.326), Price (0.300), Responsiveness (0.136), Delivery (0.108), Flexibility (0.065), Administration (0.039), Engineering (0.026). The results of weighting the subcriteria get the results of the sub-criteria with the highest weight are the price offered (0.210), quality of BBM products (0.179), work according to SOP (0.101), accuracy of the number of deliveries (0.091), accuracy of the amount of delivery (0.091), and providing discounts (0.090).
