JELLI : Journal of Education For The Language And Literature of Indonesia, is a peer-reviewed journal published two times a year since 2023. Articles in this journal should be written in Indonesian and English. This Journal focus on the issues of Indonesian language education. All submitted papers are put trough double-blind review process. The journal accepts both research and non-research articles, which will be peerreviewed by at least 2 (two) reviewers. Once a manuscript is submitted trough the online process, a journal editor examines the manuscript and determines its appropriateness for the full peer review. If it passes the initial screening, the manuscript will be sent to one or more peer reviewers. The journal’s editorial board will then consider the peer reviewers’ reports and assemble the final decision to accept or reject the manuscript for publication.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan jenis-jenis perubahan makna yang ada dalam novel Negeri 5 Menara karya Ahmad Fuadi. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Objek penelitian ini adalah perubahan makna dalam novel Negeri 5 Menara karya Ahmad Fuadi. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode simak kemudian diikuti teknik catat. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah perubahan makna yang terdapat dalam novel Negeri 5 Menara karya Ahmad Fuadi. Berdasarkan analisis data dapat disimpulkan bahwa di dalam novel Negeri 5 Menara karya Ahmad Fuadi terdapat perubahan makna perluasan (generalisasi), penyempitan (spesialisasi), peninggian (ameleorasi), penurunan (peyorasi), pertukaran (sinestesia), persamaan (asosiasi) dan metafora. Di dalam novel ini, generalisasi terdapat 6 data, spesialisasi terdapat 1 data, ameleorasi terdapat 4 data, peyorasi terdapat 4 data, sinestesia terdapat 3 data, asosiasi terdapat 6 data, dan metafora terdapat 3 data.

Abstract

This paper explores the different types of double-object sentences in Indonesian. This study aims to identify the types of double object constructions based on syntactic behavior, word categories of verb-accompanying constituents, and the verb's form at the construction center. Double object constructions in Indonesian can be divided into two types: double object constructions with double FN constituents (type 1) and double object constructions with combined FN constituents (type 2). The difference between the two types is seen in verb form, syntactic behavior, and the category of verb-accompanying constituents. In terms of verb form, type 1 constructions have verbs ending in -kan and -i, while type 2 does not. In terms of syntactic behavior, type 1 constructions come from single sentences. They can be fixed into other forms by changing the verb and using prepositions "for" and "to" as adverbial function markers in the last constituent. In contrast, type 2 constructions come from broader sentences, so their verb-accompanying constituents form a construction. In terms of the verb-accompanying constituent filler category, type 1 double object constructions only involve nouns as the second filler of the verb-accompanying constituent. In contrast, in type 2 double object constructions, the categories can be nouns, nouns with verbs, adjectives with adjectives, and prepositional phrases.

Abstract

The history of the emergence of culture and language in Indonesia has been a long process. In fact, some of them involve several important shops in it, one of which is Sanusi Pane. Sanusi pane became one of the figures who contributed in the form of literary works in which there was a mandate to foster a love for Indonesian culture and language. However, in this modern era, Sanusi Pane is not well known by the millennial generation. The purpose of writing this article is to analyze the work of Sanusi Pane, in which there is an effort to foster a love for Indonesian culture and language. Then, the researchers attempted to implement these values ​​through the Indonesian Language MKWU in universities. The method used in this research is qualitative using a content analysis approach. The text is studied using an objective literary study. By conducting an objective study, the researcher focuses on the text that is the material of the study. Then, the findings are analyzed based on aspects that contain love for culture and language. Furthermore, the findings are presented in the Indonesian language MKWU during the material history and language development.

Abstract

This study aims to determine language acquisition in children aged 3 years with emotional disorders (tantrums) with a focus on the development of their vocabulary and communication skills. The research method uses a qualitative descriptive method, namely by examining the status of human groups, objects, conditions, systems of thought or current events with the aim of making systematic, factual, and accurate descriptions of the facts studied. The data obtained in this study through interviews, observation, and documentation, so as to get answers to problems in detail. The research subjects were 3 year old children with emotional disturbances (tantrums). The results of this study indicate that the acquisition of language experienced by children aged 3 years with emotional disorders (tantrums) can be qualified by the function of expressing something, desire, form of rejection, and acceptance. In children aged 3 years who experience tantrums, language acquisition and use are still developing to achieve perfection. Parents and the surrounding environment play a very important role in guiding and always providing input to achieve perfection in language acquisition.

Abstract

This experimental research was motivated by the problem of learning Indonesian, namely the low score of student learning outcomes in writing procedure texts. Based on this research, it aims to determine the effect of the Example Non-example learning model and to create students to be more active, creative, and productive. This study used a pre-experimental design with a one group pretest-posttest design (one group pretest-posttest). The data source for this research was 7th grade E students with a sample of 37 people. This research obtained quantitative and qualitative data. Quantitative data processing includes the normality test, Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test, and statistical tests. Calculations and data testing are assisted by using Microsoft Excel 2013 and IBM SPSS Statistics 29 for Windows. Quantitative data processing is obtained from implementation sheets or activity sheets of teachers and students in classes that use the example non-example learning model. These results indicate that the average pretest score of students is 48.446 and the average posttest score is 83.514. To find out whether it has an effect or not, a normality test is carried out in class VII E, originating from a non-normally distributed population. The next step is to carry out a statistical test, the Wilcoxon signed ranks test. The results in the sig column (2 tailed) are <.001, because the probability is <0. 05 then H0 is rejected, meaning that there is a difference in the ability to write procedural texts using the example non-example learning model for class VII students during the pretest and posttest by using the text-based example non-example learning model.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Model pembelajaran berpikir induktif adalah model pembelajaran berbasis memproses informasi, dengan model ini siswa dituntut aktif berlajar secara mandiri, menemukan konsep dan gagasan, serta mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir kritis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat bagaimana penerapan model pembelajaran berpikir induktif dalam pembelajaran menulis latar belakang masalah karya ilmiah di kelas XI SMA Mekar Arum Bandung Tahun Ajaran 2021/2022 dari mulai perencanaan, pelaksanaan, hingga hasil pembelajaran. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif, metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pre-expreimental design dengan bentuk one group pretest and posttest. Berdasarkan hasil uji statistik disimpulkan bahwa model berpikir induktif memiliki pengaruh positif terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik. Meski begitu, model tersebut dikategorikan tidak efektif diterapkan dalam pembelajaran menulis latar belakang masalah karya ilmiah karena berdasarkan hasil perhitungan efektifitas N-Gain, diperoleh nilai rata-rata persen gain sebesar 28.44%. Sedangkan nilai maksimal untuk kategori efektif sebesar lebih dari 76%. Kata Kunci: model pembelajaran berpikir induktif dan hasil belajar ABSTRACT Inductive thinking learning model is a learning model based on processing information, with this model students are required to actively learn independently, find concepts and ideas, and develop critical thinking skills. This study aims to see how the application of the inductive thinking learning model in learning to write the background of scientific work problems in class XI SMA Mekar Arum Bandung in the 2021/2022 academic year from planning, implementation, to learning outcomes. This research is a quantitative research, the method used in this research is pre-experimental design in the form of one group pretest and posttest. Based on the results of statistical tests, it is concluded that the inductive thinking model has a positive influence on student learning outcomes. Even so, the model is not effectively applied in learning the background of scientific work problems because based on the results of the N-Gain calculation, the average profit percentage is 28.44%. While the maximum value for the effective category is more than 76%. Keywords: inductive teaching model and learning outcomes

Abstract

This study purpose to description results of illocutionary speech acts from film “Keluarga Cemara” (2019) Yandy Laurens and position in curriculum 2013. This research was conducted on the basis of a lack of understanding when listening to information, so that misunderstandings often occur. This is accompanied by the opinion of Tarigan (2021, p. 109) who says that the influencing factor of listening is the experience factor. Background experience is an important factor in listening activities. A lot of vocabulary understanding when listening also affects listening skills. Therefore, research on illocutionary speech acts was carried out in the film “Keluarga Cemara”. This study illocutionary speech acts refer by theory Searle (1969). This research is research qualitative. Method this research use method observe and method note. Data source this research use primer data source, the data is film “Keluarga Cemara” (2019) by Yandy Laurens. The results of this study are: first, the resuts of analysis illocutionary speech acts film “Keluarga Cemara” (2019) by Yandy laurens to found out 95 data of illocutionary speech acts. The data to found out by researcher is 40 data of illocutionary assertive, 32 data of illocutionary directive, 17 data of illocutionary expressiveness and 6 data of illocutionary commissiveness. Second, the results analysis illocutionary speech acts film “Keluarga Cemara” (2019) can used as teaching materials or media learning for Indonesian language subject at the junior high school. The subject matter is review text and can found in KD 4.11. KD (Basic Kompetencies) is found at Junior High School and the level subject matter in class VIII.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low short story writing ability of vocational students in the Indonesian language subject. This study aims to see the effectiveness of free writing techniques through students' short story writing skills. The method in this research is quantitative research. The subjects of this study were students of class XI at SMK Sangkuriang 1 Cimahi. The instruments used in this study were interview sheets, response questionnaires to learning, and student questionnaires. The material used in this research is writing short stories. Pretest and posttest data on the free writing technique of short story writing skills were analyzed using IBM SPSS Statistics version 22 software. The results of this study indicate that the analysis of short story writing ability before the free writing technique was applied showed that there were deficiencies in the experimental class compared to the control class. The experimental class got 69,33 and the control class got 73,17. Analysis of short story writing ability after applying free writing techniques showed a significant increase in results. The experimental class got a score of 84,33 while the control class got a score of 78,17. Learning with the free writing technique shows the effectiveness of students' writing skills because they get an increase of 6,16. Abstract

ABSTRAK Karya sastra puisi merupakan sebuah karya tulis yang memiliki nilai estetik dan memiliki karakter yang unik. Karya sastra tidak akan lepas dari dunia Pendidikan dimana karya sastra akan selalu berhubungan erat dengan Pendidikan. Salah satu karya sastra terpopuler adalah karya sastra Chairil Anwar. Karyanya mengambarkan ideologi penyair. Peserta didik dapat mengenal karya sastra melalui pembelajaran sastra di sekolah. Dalam pengajarannya peserta didik harus diberikan bahan ajar yang sesuai dengan kemampuannya. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Sampel penelitian ini berjumlah 10 peserta didik di kelas X SMA Perkappen Sinumbra Ciwidey. Peneliti menerapkan bahan ajar mengenai karya sastra Chairil Anwar kepada peserta didik dan memberikan soal pertanyaan kepada peserta didik untuk mengetahui pemahaman pada materi dari bahan ajar tersebut. Pada penelitian ini penulis meneliti syair yang bertemakan nilai nasionalisme, indikator nilai nasionalisme dan layak atau tidak jika di masukkan ke dalam bahan ajar kelas X SMA. Terdapat 3 syair yang bertemakan nilai nasionalisme dan 3 indikator nilai nasionalisme berdasarkan profil pancasila. Hasil penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa hasil pembelajaran dan LKPD yang peneliti lakukan kepada siswa SMA Perkappen Sinumbra kelas X sesuai dengan tujuan peneliti, yaitu hasil yang di capai layak berdasarkan standar KKM Bahasa Indonesia. Kata kunci: analisis objektif, pendidikan, bahan ajar, LKPD.
