Abstract

Global environmental issues, such as climate change and pollution, demand an education system that equips younger generations with environmental awareness and sustainable skills. This study aims to enhance educators' competence in integrating environmentally friendly innovations through an Eco Enzyme Workshop held in Kagungan Ratu Village, Pesawaran. The workshop involved 10 educators as research subjects, selected based on their engagement in environmental teaching programs. The study employed a descriptive qualitative approach using observation, questionnaires, and interviews to evaluate the workshop's effectiveness. The results showed an improvement in participants' understanding of the benefits of eco enzyme in promoting environmental cleanliness and its potential application in education. A total of 60% of participants demonstrated a strong understanding, while 30% had a moderate comprehension, and 10% required further clarification. These findings affirm that eco enzyme can serve as an effective solution in supporting environmentally focused educational practices while reducing reliance on harmful chemicals. For future research, a more in-depth study is recommended to examine the impact of eco enzyme implementation on student behavior in schools, as well as a long-term evaluation of its effects within the educational context.

Abstract

The Eco Print Workshop in Desa Padang Cermin was designed with the primary goal of enhancing creativity and environmental awareness among members of the Risma group and local school children. Through this hands-on training, participants were introduced to the process of utilizing natural materials, such as leaves and local plants, to create unique patterns on fabric using eco-printing techniques. This method not only emphasized the artistic aspect but also the importance of sustainability by harnessing resources that are readily available in the surrounding environment. The evaluation of the workshop's effectiveness revealed significant improvements across several key areas: conceptual understanding, practical skills, creativity, and environmental consciousness. Participants demonstrated a marked increase in their ability to understand and apply the principles of eco-printing, creatively develop their own designs, and recognize the broader environmental implications of their work. This workshop successfully provided participants with new, practical skills while fostering a deeper appreciation for sustainable practices and the natural world. However, the program did face some challenges, primarily related to time constraints and the limited availability of materials, which were mitigated through a well-structured approach to the workshop’s delivery. To maximize the impact of similar future initiatives, it is recommended that the duration of the training be extended and that efforts be made to include a more diverse group of participants. Such improvements would likely broaden the reach and effectiveness of the program, thereby contributing to a more widespread adoption of eco-friendly practices in the community.

Abstract

Abstract This study aims to enhance the locomotor movement skills of fifth-grade students at Public Elementary School (SDN) 1 Waringinsari through the integration of traditional games within a Problem-Based Learning (PBL) framework. Employing a quasi-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest model, the research involved 25 students as its subjects. Data were collected using observation sheets that assessed eight aspects of locomotor movement skills, including movement coordination, body balance, and reaction speed. The findings revealed significant improvements across all measured aspects, with the average score increasing from 60 in the pretest to 85 in the posttest. This improvement underscores the effectiveness of traditional games, such as bakiak and enggrang, in enhancing students' motor skills. These results hold important implications for the development of a contextual and culturally relevant physical education curriculum, while also contributing to the preservation of traditional cultural heritage.

Abstract

Stunting is a chronic nutritional issue that has long-term impacts on the quality of human resources. In Indonesia, the prevalence of stunting remains high, particularly in rural areas such as Mariana Village, Banyuasin Regency. This study aims to design and implement the Fight Against Stunting Together (FAST) program using a Participation Action Research (PAR) approach, which actively involves the community throughout the planning to evaluation stages. This research is a participatory qualitative study conducted over four months, involving 20 main participants, including posyandu cadres, village officials, and mothers of toddlers. The methods employed include participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and focus group discussions. The findings show that the PAR approach increases community awareness of the importance of nutrition and child-rearing practices, fosters cross-sector collaboration, and leads to local initiatives such as nutrition gardens and mother-toddler education classes. The FAST program has proven effective in fostering a sense of community ownership in stunting prevention efforts and strengthening local capacity to improve child nutrition status. The implications of this study suggest that active community involvement through the PAR model can serve as an effective and sustainable strategy for stunting reduction. Recommendations are offered for replicating similar programs in other areas with adjustments to local contexts and adequate policy support.

Abstract

Corn production in Indonesia will reach 23.6 million tons in 2023 (BPS, 2024), but more than 40% of harvest is organic waste such as cobs, skins, and stalks that are generally not used productively. This was often burned or simply thrown away, contributing to environmental pollution and waste of resources. study aims to explore the potential for optimizing corn waste as an alternative food raw material within framework of a zero waste approach and agricultural sustainability. Through literature analysis and stu of innovative practices, it was found that corn waste can be processed into high-fiber flour, fermenta materials, and other functional food components. This innovation supports waste reduction, food so diversification, and increased added value in the agricultural sector. However, the challenges faced inc limited processing technology, lack of supporting regulations, and low farmer awareness of the econo value of waste. Therefore, integration between research, appropriate technology, and inclusive polici needed so that the use of corn waste can contribute significantly to a sustainable and competitive agricult system. One of them is through innovation in processing corn cobs into healthy snacks, which includes drying and grinding stages, the mixing of ingredients, forming and frying, and the last is packaging.
