Abstract

This study aims to examine and analyze the influence of Entrepreneurship Training, Entrepreneurial Skills, and Individual Commitment on the Performance of Food & Beverage UMKM Actors in Jember. This study focuses on identifying the performance of UMKM operators. A quantitative approach is used, employing regression analysis to test the relationship between independent variables (Entrepreneurship Training, Entrepreneurial Skills, and Individual Commitment) and the dependent variable (Operator Performance). UMKM Food & Beverage operators in Jember were selected as the research subjects because they align with the research problem. Data was collected through a questionnaire (Google Form) distributed to Food & Beverage UMKM operators in Jember and will be analyzed using SPSS version 25. The research results indicate that Entrepreneurship Training positively and significantly influences Operator Performance with a calculated t-value of 6.410, which is greater than the critical t-value of 1.975 and a significance level of 0.000, which is less than 0.05. Entrepreneurial Skills also positively and significantly influence Performance with a calculated t-value of 8.974, which is greater than the critical t-value of 1.975 and a significance level of 0.000, which is less than 0.05. Commitment has a positive and significant effect on Performer Performance with a calculated t-value of 5.214, which is greater than the critical t-value of 1.975, and a significance level of 0.000, which is less than 0.05. Aside from the variables examined in this study, the results indicate that the three variables only account for 47.1% of the variance in MSME performance. This suggests that there are still 52.9% of other potential variables that may influence MSME performance, such as business motivation, market orientation, entrepreneurial competence, and individual characteristics. Therefore, future research is recommended to consider these factors in order to gain a more comprehensive understanding of MSME performance.

Abstract

This study aims to examine and analyze the influence of Digital Literacy Proficiency, Entrepreneurial Competence, and Entrepreneurship Education on Entrepreneurial Interest among students at Muhammadiyah University of Jember. This study focuses on identifying students' interest in entrepreneurship. A quantitative approach was used, employing regression analysis to test the relationship between independent variables (Digital Literacy Proficiency, Entrepreneurial Competence, and Entrepreneurship Education) and the dependent variable (Interest in Entrepreneurship). Students at Muhammadiyah University of Jember were selected as the research subjects because they align with the research problem. Data was collected through a questionnaire (Google Form) administered to students at Muhammadiyah University of Jember and will be analyzed using SPSS version 25. The results of the study indicate that Digital Literacy Proficiency positively and significantly influences students' entrepreneurial interest with a calculated t-value of 19.417, which is greater than the t-table value of 1.966 and a significance level of 0.000, which is less than 0.05. Entrepreneurial Competence also has a positive and significant effect on students' Entrepreneurial Interest with a t-value of 14.828, which is greater than the critical t-value of 1.966 and a significance level of 0.000, which is less than 0.05. Entrepreneurship Education also has a positive and significant influence on students' entrepreneurial interest, with a calculated t-value of 14.274, which is greater than the critical t-value of 1.966 and a significance level of 0.000, which is less than 0.05.

Abstract

This article discusses the dual role of immigration officers at international airports, encompassing both administrative functions and national security. As an agency responsible for overseeing the movement of foreign nationals and granting residence permits, immigration officers play a critical role in supporting public administration while also safeguarding national security. This study adopts a literature review approach with a qualitative descriptive method to examine various aspects related to the duties and challenges faced by immigration officers in performing these dual functions. The analysis reveals that immigration officers face role conflicts caused by high workloads, insufficient training, and suboptimal use of technology. On the security front, officers act as the first line of defense in detecting and preventing threats that could destabilize the nation. The discussion also includes a comparison of immigration practices in countries such as Australia, the United States, and Japan, which show that integrating administrative and security functions can enhance border control effectiveness. The article concludes with recommendations to strengthen the capacity of immigration officers, both in terms of training and technology, as well as improving inter-agency coordination to enhance the performance of Indonesia's immigration system.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of influencer marketing on purchase decisions with brand trust and brand image as intervening variables, focusing on users of PIXY compact powder cosmetics among Generation Z in Cilegon City. The research method employed was quantitative, utilizing data collected through questionnaires and a literature review. The study population consisted of 160 respondents who met the criteria of being part of Generation Z and users of PIXY compact powder cosmetics. The sampling technique employed was non-probability sampling, specifically accidental sampling. The analysis method employed was Structural Equation Modeling (SEM), utilizing the statistical tool SmartPLS 4 Professional for analysis.The results of this study: influencer marketing has a negative but insignificant effect on purchase decision, influencer marketing has a positive and significant effect on brand trust, influencer marketing has a positive and significant effect on brand image, brand trust has a positive and significant effect on purchase decision, brand image has a positive and significant effect on purchase decision, brand trust has a positive and significant mediating effect on influencer marketing toward purchase decision, brand image has a positive and significant mediating effect on influencer marketing toward purchase decision.

Abstract

Bali Province in 2023 recorded the highest female unemployment rate in all of Indonesia, but these women tend to work in the informal sector rather than the formal sector, even though jobs in the informal sector have high work risks, no social security, minimal protection, and low wages. Using data from the National Labor Force Survey (Sakernas) in August 2023, this study aims to analyze the participation of married women in the decision to work in the informal sector in Bali Province with control variables of education level, age, area of residence, and training participation. Analysis with binary logistics shows that married women tend to work in the informal sector, assuming that factors other than those under study are considered to remain constant. Further analysis discussed the outpouring of working hours of women workers in Bali Province using the Tobit regression model. The results show that married women have significantly higher working hours. The high tendency of women to marry and their tendency to work in the informal sector with significant working hours, requires comprehensive intervention to ensure the welfare of Balinese women who work in sectors that are classified as less secure.

Abstract

Digital transformation in public services demands the implementation of technology that is not only functional but also capable of meeting user expectations. This study aims to analyze the influence of perceived usefulness and ease of use of the Marine Traffic and Transportation Management Information System application on employee performance at the Directorate of Marine Traffic and Transportation, as well as to examine the mediating role of customer satisfaction in this relationship. This research employs a quantitative approach using a survey method through questionnaires distributed to 152 application users from marine transportation companies. The data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling with a Partial Least Squares approach. The analysis results show that perceived usefulness and ease of use have a positive and significant effect on customer satisfaction. Furthermore, both variables, along with customer satisfaction, were also found to have a significant direct effect on employee performance. More importantly, customer satisfaction significantly mediates the relationship between perceived usefulness and ease of use and employee performance. These findings underscore that improving user experience quality by creating applications that are useful and easy to operate is a crucial strategy for building customer satisfaction, which ultimately has implications for enhancing public service employees’ performance perceptions.

Abstract

This study analyzes the influence of social media advertising and product quality on purchase decisions, with customer satisfaction as a mediating variable at UMKM Sambal K’diyah in Brebes Regency. A quantitative method with SEM-PLS analysis was employed using a sample of 155 respondents. The results show that social media advertising and product quality have a significant positive effect on customer satisfaction (β = 0.630 and β = 0.373). Product quality also significantly influences purchase decisions (β = 0.664), as does customer satisfaction (β = 0.204). Furthermore, customer satisfaction mediates the relationship between both independent variables and purchase decisions. The R² values of 0.570 for customer satisfaction and 0.705 for purchase decisions indicate a strong predictive model. This study highlights the importance of digital promotion and product quality in increasing customer satisfaction and purchase decision-making.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze human resource management in improving the quality of education at RA Al-Fatah, focusing on four aspects: planning, recruitment, training and development, as well as monitoring and evaluation. Using a qualitative descriptive method, data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The findings show that: (1) HR planning involves strategy formulation such as RPP, RPPH, and task division among vice principals; (2) recruitment is conducted through two models—government-based and committee-based—using a competency-based selection process; (3) training includes Merdeka Curriculum workshops and capacity-building in curriculum development; (4) monitoring and evaluation are carried out regularly, both internally and externally, to assess performance and improve educational quality.

Abstract

Technological advances and the need for efficiency in business management require companies, including the convection sector, to implement an effective accounting information system (AIS). This study aims to analyze the implementation of accounting information systems in the cash inflow and outflow cycle at Firdevs Konveksi. The method used is descriptive research with a qualitative approach, through observation, interviews, and documentation. The study focuses on the recording process, internal control, and the effectiveness of the cash cycle in supporting business operations. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of AIS at Firdevs Konveksi is able to increase the efficiency of cash management, improve the accuracy of financial transaction recording, and strengthen internal control over cash inflow and outflow activities. In addition, the use of accounting information systems helps companies in data-based decision making, increases transparency, and reduces the risk of errors or fraud. This study emphasizes the importance of implementing accounting information systems in supporting business sustainability, especially in the convection sector, by making a significant contribution to more professional, structured, and reliable financial management. Thus, the results of this study are evidence that the implementation of AIS is not only a technical need, but also a strategic factor in increasing the company's competitiveness amidst increasingly competitive business dynamics.

Abstract

Entrepreneurship plays an important role as a driving force in a country's economic development. University students, as prospective graduates, have great potential to develop into creative and independent young entrepreneurs. Therefore, it is important to explore the factors that influence the emergence of entrepreneurial intent among students. This study aims to examine the extent to which financial literacy influences entrepreneurial intent, as well as to investigate whether knowledge of technopreneurship can strengthen this relationship as a moderating variable. This study employs a quantitative approach with data analysis using the Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM) technique with the assistance of WarpPLS software. The respondents in this study consisted of 81 students from the Economics Education Program, Faculty of Economics and Business, Surabaya State University, class of 2021. The results of the study indicate that financial literacy has a positive and significant influence on students' entrepreneurial intentions. In other words, the higher the level of financial literacy among students, the greater their desire to enter the world of entrepreneurship. However, technopreneurship knowledge does not play a moderating role in this relationship. This indicates that technopreneurship knowledge is largely conceptual and has not yet been applied in actual entrepreneurial activities.
