Abstract

Cafes in Jember Regency continue to grow significantly amid increasingly fierce competition among businesses and the rise of MSMEs in the digital era. The culinary industry, particularly the café sector in Jember Regency, has seen significant growth, presenting promising opportunities for café owners and a substantial market. Numerous cafés are spread across various neighborhoods in Jember Regency. This study focuses on how social media can be utilized for customer engagement and promotion. Additionally, entrepreneurial motivation is examined as a factor that can enhance the influence of these elements on business success. To explore the relationships among these factors, data was gathered through questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression techniques. A quantitative survey approach was used to collect information from 100 cafe owners in Jember. The findings showed that social media significantly and positively influenced motivation and company success. In addition, motivation was found to be an intervening variable that strengthens the impact of these elements on cafe business success.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze tehe effect of profitability and firm size on firm value with capital structure as a mediating variable. The study was conducted on food and beverage sub-sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during 2020-2023. The variables used in this study include Return on Assets (ROA), frim size (SIZE), Dept to Equity Ratio (DER), and Price to Earnings Ratio (PER). Path analysis was applied to test the relationsips. The results show that booth profitability and firm size significantly influence capital structure. Pprofitability and firm size also directly affect firm value. Furthemore, capital structure ppartially mediates the relationship between profitabilitiy, firm size, and firm value. These findings highlight the importance of strategic capital structur management to enhance corporate financial performance and long-term value, especially in the food and beverage sector.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of work life balance on job satisfaction, mediated by employee engagement among Generation Z employees at PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) Daop 1 Jakarta. The research background is based on the increasing number of Gen Z employees who have unique characteristics, such as a preference for work-life balance and meaningful engagement at work. The research method used is quantitative with a survey approach, in which data were collected through questionnaires distributed to Gen Z employees at PT KAI Daop 1 Jakarta. Data analysis was performed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The results show that work life balance has a positive and significant effect on employee engagement and job satisfaction. Furthermore, employee engagement is proven to mediate the effect of work life balance on job satisfaction. The implications of this research highlight the importance for companies to pay attention to work-life balance and enhance employee engagement in order to improve job satisfaction, especially for Generation Z employees. These findings are expected to serve as a reference for companies in designing adaptive human resource management strategies that suit the characteristics of the younger generation in the workforce.

Abstract

The mining industry has become one of the hopes for the economic advancement of the nation. In the electric vehicle industry, Indonesia's metal and mineral raw material industry also contributes to the supply of raw materials for electric vehicles (EVs). This presents an attractive opportunity for investors to purchase shares in mining companies. This research aims to determine the long-term and short-term effects of Return on Equity (ROE), interest rates, and exchange rates on the stock prices of mining companies in the metal and mineral sub-industry (B146) listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the period of 2018-2019. The study employs a quantitative method and utilizes data analysis techniques with the assistance of Eviews-12, using a sample of 49 observations. The results indicate that ROE, interest rates, and exchange rates do not have a significant impact on stock prices in the short term. However, ROE and interest rates have a negative effect on stock prices in the long term, while exchange rates have a positive effect on stock prices in the long term.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of service quality and brand trust on customer loyalty at Café Hill & Tiff in Palopo City. A quantitative approach was employed, with data collected through questionnaires distributed to 35 respondents who are customers of the café. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression to examine both simultaneous and partial effects between variables. The results show that service quality and brand trust simultaneously have a significant influence on customer loyalty, with a significance value of 0.011 (< 0.05) and an F-value of 5.365 (> F-table 3.35). Partially, both variables also have a positive and significant impact. The coefficient of determination (R²) indicates that 28.4% of the variation in customer loyalty can be explained by service quality and brand trust, while the remaining 71.6% is influenced by other factors outside this study. These findings underscore the importance of consistently delivering quality service and building brand trust as strategic efforts to maintain customer loyalty amid increasing business competition.

Abstract

The study was designed with the aim of determining the effect of TATO, DER, and ROE variables on stock price variables. A quantitative approach was used in this study, with time series data analysis through a multiple linear regression model based on Ordinary Least Squares (OLS), which was processed using Eviews12 software. The partial results of the TATO variable obtained While the DER variable showed meaning that acceptance of and ROE obtained a stating that was accepted. The results of the study simultaneously showed a In conclusion, TATO, DER, and ROE simultaneously and significantly influence stock price movements. However, TATO was found to have no significant effect on stock prices. In contrast, DER and ROE showed a significant real impact on stock prices.

Abstract

Stock returns serve as a key indicator for maximizing profits and minimizing investment risks. This study aims to examine the effect of Current Ratio, Interest Rate, and Financial Distress on Stock Returns in both the short term and long term for manufacturing companies in the pulp and paper sub-sector listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the 2015–2024 period. The research employs a quantitative approach with a sample of 7 companies selected through purposive sampling. Data were analyzed using the Panel Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) method with the assistance of Eviews 12 software. The results show that in the short term, Current Ratio and Interest Rate do not significantly affect Stock Returns, while Financial Distress has a significant effect. In the long term, Current Ratio, Interest Rate, and Financial Distress all have a significant effect on Stock Returns. These findings imply that investors should carefully consider both company fundamentals and external macroeconomic factors when making investment decisions, particularly for long-term investments.

Abstract

This research was conducted to evaluate the extent to which celebrity endorsements, discount parties, and brand awareness influence online purchasing decisions on the Shopee platform. A quantitative approach was adopted, with a survey conducted on 100 students who actively shop on Shopee. The sample was selected using purposive sampling. Data was compiled by distributing online questionnaires using Google Forms, then analyzed using the SEM-PLS approach through the SmartPLS 3 software. The findings showed that the three independent variables had a significant influence on online purchasing decisions, with discount events being the most influential factor. The findings emphasize the significance of digital marketing strategies that incorporate celebrity involvement, time-based promotions, and brand awareness to encourage consumers to shop online.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of human resources (HR) in improving the effectiveness of public services through a collaborative approach between PLN UP3 Nias and the community in Hambawa Village, Gunungsitoli Utara District. The background of this study is based on the importance of HR competencies in supporting responsive, adaptive, and participatory electricity services, especially in 3T areas. Using a qualitative approach through a case study design, data was collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentary analysis of PLN's collaborative practices at the village level. The research findings indicate that the collaboration between PLN and the community successfully accelerated the resolution of power outages, reduced the number of customer complaints, and significantly improved community satisfaction. The role of human resources with technical skills, social adaptability, and communication proficiency is a key factor in building synergy with local communities. This study implies that improving the quality of public services in remote areas can be achieved by strengthening human resource capacity that is not only focused on internal efficiency but also on transformative social engagement.

Abstract

The Balinese culinary industry, which is the backbone of the regional economy, faces various problems that hinder its competitiveness, such as a lack of human resource skills, low service quality, and limited product innovation. Increasingly fierce competition from local and international business actors exacerbates this problem. High employee turnover rates are also a constraint, resulting in the loss of expertise and training investments. The situation is worsened by a lack of understanding of the importance of effective and efficient human resource management (HRM) in managing quality human resources. Therefore, this research is important to conduct in order to find appropriate and efficient HRM strategies to improve the competitiveness of the Balinese culinary industry. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method, involving in-depth interviews with culinary business actors in Bali, document analysis, and field observations. The research is expected to provide recommendations for broad human resource (HR) strategies, which include employee training and development as well as efficient recruitment and selection systems, and the development of a positive and innovative work culture. These recommendations aim to improve the quality of human resources, increase productivity, and ultimately increase the competitiveness of the Balinese culinary industry in domestic and international markets.
