Abstract

This study is motivated by the continuous increase in initial capital each year that is not followed by a proportional growth in revenue, leading to a decline in operational efficiency. This condition is evident during the 2022–2024 period, where efficiency levels consistently remained below 40%. The issue is presumed to be caused by high operational costs and ineffective capital allocation, resulting in suboptimal revenue generation. These findings indicate weaknesses in capital management strategies and low operational productivity in utilizing available capital. The study employs a quantitative correlational approach and was conducted at BMT Alhijrah Bukittinggi, an Islamic microfinance institution located in Bukittinggi City, West Sumatra. The research utilizes secondary data, including financial and operational reports from the 2022–2023 period, collected through documentation and interviews. Data were analyzed using correlation and linear regression tests to determine the effect of capital adequacy on operational efficiency. The results reveal that capital adequacy has a significant effect on operational efficiency (sig. 0.004 ≤ 0.05). The coefficient of determination (R = 0.547) indicates a moderately strong relationship between capital adequacy and operational efficiency, contributing 49.7% to the performance of BMT Alhijrah Bukittinggi.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the importance of profitability in the Islamic banking industry in Indonesia, especially amidst increasingly tight competition and global economic challenges. Fee Based Income and Minimum Reserves are two factors that are considered to influence bank profitability. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to determine and analyze how much influence Fee Based Income and Minimum Reserves have on Net Profit Margin (NPM) in Islamic Commercial Banks in Indonesia during the period 2018-2023. This type of research is quantitative research with a descriptive analysis approach. The data used are secondary data accessed through the annual financial reports of banks registered with the Financial Services Authority (OJK). The sampling method used purposive sampling, and a sample of six banks was obtained with a total of 36 sample data. Data analysis techniques used include descriptive statistical analysis, classical assumption test, multiple linear regression analysis, determination coefficient test, and hypothesis test processed using the IBM SPSS 25 application. The results of the study indicate that partially, Fee Based Income has no significant effect on NPM with a significance value of 0.052≥ 0.05, and Minimum Reserves also have no significant effect with a significance value of 0.440≥ 0.05. In addition, the results of the F test indicate that both independent variables simultaneously have no significant effect on NPM, with a significance value of 0.117≥ 0.05. This indicates that although both variables have an important role, they are not strong enough to simultaneously affect bank profitability.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the impact of the Price Earnings Ratio (PER) on the Sharia share price of Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI). The Sharia share price refers to the price set by a company for shares in line with Islamic principles. Many factors influence share prices, with the PER being a key fundamental variable. The study employs a quantitative approach, utilizing secondary data from the Indonesia Stock Exchange and financial reports of BSI from 2019 to 2024, with a sample size of N=71. The analysis involves normality, homogeneity, and linearity tests, along with hypothesis testing (t-test), simple linear regression, and the Adjusted R-Squared Test. The findings indicate that the PER significantly affects the Sharia share price (Y), with a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05) and a t-count of 4.554, which exceeds the t-table value of 1.690, suggesting a positive and significant relationship. The R-Squared value is 0.372, meaning the PER explains 37.2% of the variation in share prices, with the remaining 62.8% influenced by other factors not covered in this research, such as EPS, PBV, and others.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of motivation, work discipline, and job satisfaction on employee performance at PT Phapros Tbk Semarang. The study was conducted with a quantitative approach using a survey method by distributing questionnaires to 100 respondents who are company employees. The data obtained were then analyzed using a series of statistical tests, including validity and reliability tests to ensure instrument accuracy, classical assumption tests to test model feasibility, and multiple linear regression analysis to determine the influence of each independent variable on the dependent variable. Furthermore, a t-test was conducted to test partial effects, an F-test to test simultaneous effects, and a coefficient of determination (R²) test to see the magnitude of the contribution of the independent variables to the dependent variable. The results of the analysis show that motivation, work discipline, and job satisfaction have a positive and significant effect on employee performance, both partially and simultaneously. The Adjusted R² value of 0.485 indicates that the three variables are able to explain 48.5% of the variation in employee performance, while the remaining 51.5% is influenced by other factors not examined. Of the three variables, job satisfaction has the most dominant influence with a regression coefficient value of 0.306, indicating the importance of the role of job satisfaction in improving employee performance.

Abstract

This study maps and analyzes the Global Value Chains (GVC) of Bali’s coffee industry using a descriptive qualitative design based on in-depth interviews with farmers, collectors, and roasteries in Tabanan, Buleleng, and Bangli, complemented by field observations. The Miles–Huberman–Saldaña interactive approach guides data reduction, display, and verification. Findings indicate a value chain dominated by smallholders with limited landholdings, a local market structure tending toward monopsony, and post-harvest infrastructure gaps that incentivize sales as red cherries (≈IDR 11,000/kg). Substantial value is captured downstream green beans (≈IDR 80,000–85,000/kg) and roasted beans (≈IDR 85,000–120,000/kg) primarily by collectors/roasteries with superior access to information, technology, and markets. Exports to China, the United States, Taiwan, and South Korea occur sporadically due to complex licensing procedures. The Geographical Indication Protection Society (MPIG) helps safeguard quality and origin, yet its price-setting influence warrants caution to ensure broad, equitable benefits. The study underscores information asymmetries and market access barriers that weaken farmers’ bargaining power and constrain value distribution upstream. Policy recommendations include strengthening cooperatives/marketing partnerships, investing in post-harvest technology and quality assurance (e.g., cupping scores/GI), improving price transparency through market information systems, and streamlining export regulations. The results contribute to GVC governance insights for Bali coffee and outline an agenda to enhance value added, sustainability, and smallholder welfare.
