Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of production capacity and availability of raw materials on profit maximization efforts at the Okey Sausage Factory. The main problem faced by the company is the limited resources that must be allocated optimally in order to achieve maximum profit levels. This study uses an operations research approach with linear programming methods and simplex methods, which are able to solve optimization problems with two main variables, namely the number of products produced and the amount of raw materials available. The data used include machine capacity, daily raw material quantity, production time, and profit margins for each sausage product. The results of the analysis show that the optimal combination of production capacity and raw materials can significantly increase profits compared to previous production strategies. With the right mathematical model, companies can make more efficient and data-based production decisions.

Abstract

Surabaya City holds significant tourism potential with various popular destinations such as Taman Bungkul, the Submarine Monument, and Kenjeran Beach. However, the large number of attractions and limited visiting time often make it difficult for tourists to plan efficient travel routes. To address this issue, this study aims to implement the Hill Climbing algorithm to optimize the shortest path among tourist destinations in Surabaya. The method uses a heuristic approach by iteratively swapping the positions of two locations in the travel route to find an optimal solution that minimizes total travel distance. The developed system features a GUI-based interface, graphical visualization using the networkx and matplotlib libraries, and direct integration with Google Maps to facilitate user navigation. Testing results indicate that the Hill Climbing algorithm can generate more efficient travel routes compared to randomly ordered routes. These findings contribute to the development of intelligent and practical travel planning systems..

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence of performance appraisal, mutation patterns and talent management on the performance of Directorate General of Taxes (DGT) Employees with organizational culture as a moderating variable The type of research used in this study is quantitative research. The population in this study were all employees of the East Java III Regional Office of the Directorate General of Taxes, with a total of 1,522 employees. The method of determining the number of samples using the Slovin formula, which is 132.60 and rounded up to 132. Based on data and information, the researcher also took samples using the proportionate stratified random sampling technique. The researcher used the Partial Least Square (PLS) data analysis technique, and the software chosen by the researcher was SmartPLS version 4. The results of this study indicate that improvements in performance appraisal systems can lead to better employee performance. However, despite becoming more structured, mutation patterns do not appear to significantly impact performance outcomes. Similarly, even with strengthened talent management practices, there is no clear improvement in employee performance. A strong organizational culture does contribute to enhanced employee performance. Nonetheless, it does not serve as a moderating factor in the relationship between performance appraisal, mutation patterns, or talent management and employee performance.

Abstract

General insurers are currently facing increasingly complex pressures as a result of accelerating digital disruption, rising customer expectations, and global risk dynamics. Amid these conditions, the traditional approach, which focuses on the primary function of risk transfer, is no longer considered sufficient to ensure long-term sustainability and competitiveness. This article aims to review the concept of dynamic capabilities as a strategic foundation in driving innovation in general insurance companies. Using the Narrative Literature Review (NLR) method, this study identifies three main dimensions of dynamic capabilities: sensing, seizing, and transforming, which play a crucial role in enhancing organizational responsiveness to market changes, technological opportunities, and external uncertainties. The results of the study show that insurance companies that can develop and integrate dynamic capabilities sustainably tend to be more adaptive and innovative in creating products, business models, and service strategies that meet future needs. The implementation of dynamic capabilities not only strengthens the company's competitiveness but also shifts the paradigm from just risk transfer to value co-creation. This research makes a theoretical contribution by developing a new conceptual framework that links dynamic capabilities with innovation in the general insurance sector, offering practical implications for the development of organizational transformation strategies. These findings also open up further research space to empirically examine the relationship between the dynamic capabilities, innovation, and performance of general insurers in an ever-changing industry context.
