Abstract

Tourism has become one of the largest and fastest-growing industries globally. Advances in technology and communication have brought significant changes in various aspects, especially in the hospitality industry. Using a dataset from November 2024 to January 2025, this sentiment analysis was conducted using the Naive Bayes classification method (Gaussian, Multinomial, and Bernoulli). The results show that 72.99% of reviews are positive, while 19.08% are negative and 7.93% are neutral. The Naive Bayes model demonstrates high accuracy in classifying positive sentiment but exhibits differences in classification accuracy for the negative and neutral categories due to class imbalance. Occupancy data reveals a peak in 2023 and a significant decline in 2024. This study reveals the importance of ongoing sentiment analysis to establish management strategies, address service gaps, and improve guest satisfaction, which aims to improve guest satisfaction in the competitive hospitality market.

Abstract

Low employee motivation remains a persistent issue in many public institutions, including the Badan Kepegawaian dan Pengembangan Sumber Daya Manusia (BKPSDM) of Gresik Regency, where challenges related to inadequate facilities, suboptimal work environments, and misaligned job placements have been identified. This study investigates the extent to which these three organizational factors—facilities, work environment, and placement—influence employee motivation. A quantitative research approach was employed using a saturated sample of 49 civil servants, with data collected via structured Likert-scale questionnaires and analyzed through multiple linear regression. The results indicate that all three variables significantly and positively affect motivation, with the work environment having the strongest influence, followed by facilities and placement. The model explains 64.6% of the variation in employee motivation, underscoring the central role of institutional conditions in shaping staff engagement. While BKPSDM has introduced initiatives such as GAPURA to support professional development, notable gaps remain in basic infrastructure, environmental comfort, and strategic role assignment. These findings highlight the urgent need for targeted interventions in workspace design, equipment modernization, and competency-based placement strategies. The study provides practical guidance for government managers seeking to improve workforce morale and productivity. Future research should consider longitudinal designs and incorporate organizational culture and leadership as mediating variables to deepen understanding of motivation drivers in the public sector.

Abstract

Many organizations continue to struggle with superficial sustainability initiatives, weak accountability frameworks, and limited involvement of Human Resource Management (HRM) in strategic decision-making. These persistent issues hinder efforts to create meaningful and lasting change in corporate culture. The purpose of this article is to examine how HRM can drive the development of a sustainable and socially responsible organizational culture through structured, measurable, and values-driven practices. Drawing on recent conceptual and empirical insights from HRM, CSR, and ESG literature, the analysis highlights how initiatives such as embedding environmental metrics into performance appraisals, aligning ethical leadership development with corporate codes of conduct, institutionalizing inclusive hiring systems, and facilitating employee-led CSR engagement directly influence cultural transformation. These HR interventions promote employee trust, internal cohesion, and reputational legitimacy while anchoring sustainability as a lived organizational value. To maximize effectiveness, HR must be integrated into sustainability governance structures, equipped with analytics capabilities, and supported by leadership in implementing systemic change. Future research should investigate the long-term cultural impacts of digital HR tools, cross-sector differences in HR-ESG integration, and the role of hybrid work models in advancing equity and inclusion. Establishing a sustainable corporate culture depends not on symbolic policies but on intentional HR strategies that link people systems to environmental, ethical, and social outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the strategic management of local-based educational tourism development in East Java Province through a literature review of three empirical studies conducted in Bojonegoro , Kediri, and Blitar . Educational tourism is defined as a form of travel that focuses not only on leisure but also on learning, cultural preservation, and the empowerment of local economies. The method used in this research is a literature review, with content analysis of three selected academic articles and a strategic mapping based on strategic management theory and national tourism development policies. The findings indicate that each region applies a different approach to developing educational tourism, yet all emphasize the importance of collaboration between local governments, communities, and the private sector. In Bojonegoro , the development strategy struggles at the implementation and evaluation stages; in Kediri, a step-by-step and comprehensive model is evident; whereas in Blitar , adaptive strategies and creative promotion serve as key drivers for post-pandemic recovery. The success of educational tourism management is strongly influenced by the utilization of local assets, targeted digital promotion, institutional strengthening (such as community-based tourism groups), and continuous evaluation and innovation. This study is expected to contribute both practically and theoretically to the development of educational tourism in Indonesia. It also emphasizes that strategic management in educational tourism must be dynamic, locally grounded, and capable of addressing socio-economic challenges in a contextual and sustainable manner.

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of the hybrid work model on employee engagement, with a specific focus on the millennial generation. As organizations continue to adopt flexible work arrangements in the post pandemic era, understanding how these models influence engagement is essential. The primary problem addressed in this research is the lack of clarity on how hybrid work structures affect the psychological, emotional, and behavioral aspects of millennial engagement. The objective is to synthesize existing literature and identify the mechanisms that foster engagement within hybrid environments. A systematic literature review methodology was applied, analyzing 20 peer reviewed journal articles published between 2020 and 2025. The review identifies five key hybrid work components: autonomy and flexibility, digital leadership, work life integration, effective communication, and continuous learning. These elements are found to significantly enhance millennial engagement when implemented intentionally. The synthesis reveals that hybrid work supports millennial needs for autonomy, purpose, relational trust, and growth, which are crucial to sustaining engagement and organizational identification. This study concludes that the hybrid work model, when strategically aligned with generational expectations, serves as a viable approach to maintaining high levels of employee engagement. Future studies are encouraged to explore cross cultural and longitudinal perspectives to deepen understanding and optimize hybrid engagement frameworks.

Abstract

This study explores the implementation of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies in financial forecasting, aiming to improve prediction accuracy and enhance strategic financial decision-making. Traditional forecasting methods, such as ARIMA and linear regression, often fall short in modeling complex, nonlinear financial data, especially in volatile markets. In response, this research investigates the comparative performance of machine learning (ML), deep learning (DL), and hybrid AI-big data models. A qualitative exploratory approach was adopted, involving a systematic literature review and semi-structured interviews with financial practitioners and experts. The analysis revealed that hybrid models integrating Random Forest with big data analytics achieved the highest predictive accuracy (93.2%) and operational adaptability. LSTM models also demonstrated strong performance in handling time-series data but were limited by their lack of interpretability. Compared to traditional models, AI-based approaches significantly reduced prediction errors and offered real-time responsiveness, aligning with the dynamic needs of financial environments. The findings support the hypothesis that AI technologies can bridge the gap between accurate forecasting and strategic financial planning. However, challenges such as high computational requirements and low model transparency persist. Therefore, the study concludes that while AI models present a transformative potential for financial forecasting, successful implementation requires balancing model performance with organizational capabilities and regulatory considerations. These insights provide valuable guidance for financial managers and policymakers seeking to adopt AI-driven forecasting systems in increasingly complex and data-rich financial landscapes.

Abstract

This study examines the evolving landscape of personal finance management (PFM) in the digital era, focusing on the transformative role of financial technology (FinTech). The research addresses the problem of insufficient understanding regarding the interplay between FinTech features and user behavior in achieving financial effectiveness. The primary objective is to conceptualize how FinTech innovation, user interface (UI) quality, user trust, and digital literacy collectively influence PFM outcomes. A qualitative literature review method was employed, analyzing over 20 peer reviewed articles published between 2020 and 2025. The findings reveal that FinTech innovation and UI quality directly enhance financial decision making by improving automation and user experience. However, their impact is significantly mediated by user trust and moderated by digital literacy. These psychological and cognitive factors determine whether technological features lead to sustained engagement and improved financial behavior. The synthesized model illustrates a multidimensional framework where technological sophistication must be complemented by trust and digital competence to achieve meaningful financial outcomes. The study concludes that FinTech’s potential in enhancing PFM lies not only in its features but in its ability to foster user confidence and capability. This integrative approach provides valuable insights for FinTech developers, policymakers, and educators aiming to promote inclusive and effective digital finance solutions.

Abstract

Distribution inefficiencies remain a persistent challenge for firms operating in geographically dispersed and infrastructure-limited markets such as Indonesia. Companies must navigate logistical complexity while maintaining service reliability and cost-efficiency. This study focuses on PT. SINJ, a major distributor of automotive spare parts headquartered in Gresik Regency, which addresses these challenges through a hybrid distribution strategy. Employing a qualitative descriptive method, data were gathered through interviews, direct observations, and document analysis involving internal managers and regional agents. The findings reveal that PT. SINJ utilizes multiple distribution levels—ranging from direct-to-consumer to agent-based and multi-tier intermediary systems—based on regional infrastructure and accessibility. While this approach enables broad market coverage, it also produces operational constraints, including frequent stockouts, delayed deliveries, and weak coordination between central and field operations. The study recommends actionable improvements, such as implementing real-time inventory tracking across agents, establishing micro-warehouses in underserved regions, integrating automated restocking protocols, and formalizing logistics partnerships with multiple freight carriers. These measures are essential to enhancing PT. SINJ’s distribution resilience, reducing lead time variability, and sustaining competitive advantage in Indonesia’s fragmented logistics landscape.
