Abstract

Fear of Missing Out (FoMO), or the fear of missing out on new information or trends that emerge, is one of the phenomena that emerge as a result of the influence of social media. In terms of food, FoMO makes Generation Z want to try viral foods so as not to be considered out of date. This case study uses a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach, using observation and interviews. A qualitative method with a phenomenological approach was used to collect and interview ten Gen Z informants. The results showed that Generation Z's social media content encouraged 85% of respondents to try or follow trends on social media. However, this study found that it was not only Generation Z's social media content that created a desire to try or follow trends on social media; among them, Hedden influenced Gen Z's interest in buying traditional food by 60%, unique or ancient names influenced Gen Z's interest by 70%, and traditional food stalls that were legendary influenced Gen Z's interest by 75%. Generation Z believes that legend food is delicious because it still exists today.

Abstract

This study examines the dynamics of media spatialization in Indonesia’s digital political economy by analyzing selected Twitter (now X) accounts using Vincent Mosco’s theoretical framework. It explores how symbolic and algorithmic spatialization practices are employed by various digital actors, including political propagandists (@PartaiSocmed), grassroots storytellers (@txtdrberseragam), and mainstream media outlets (@detikcom and @kompascom) to shape public discourse and assert communicative power. Through a combination of critical analysis and qualitative methods, this research identifies key factors such as emotional engagement, narrative strategies, and algorithmic amplification that reinforce belief systems within digital platforms. The findings suggest that Twitter/X operates not only as a communication tool but also as a contested arena where power is negotiated and redistributed through visibility algorithms, emotional resonance, and content commodification. This study contributes to the broader field of digital political economy by offering a hybrid analytical approach that integrates Mosco’s spatialization theory with contemporary notions of algorithmic governance. It highlights how both institutional and non-institutional actors reshape symbolic power in Indonesia's evolving digital public sphere.

Abstract

Supply Chain Management (SCM) plays a strategic role in improving competitiveness and consumer loyalty. This study aims to analyze the SCM factors that influence consumer loyalty to the BS UPI Student Cooperative (Kopma). The approach used is quantitative with a survey method, involving 40 respondents who are students of the University of Education Indonesia who have made purchases at Kopma in the past three months. Data was collected through questionnaires and analyzed using confirmatory factor analysis. The results of the study indicate that product variety, price, timeliness, facilities, availability, and product quality are important factors influencing consumer loyalty. From the analysis, it was found that product variety is the dominant factor most influencing consumer loyalty. The decline in Kopma's sales over the past two months underscores the need to enhance SCM strategies to maintain and improve consumer loyalty. These findings are expected to serve as a reference for Kopma managers in formulating more effective SCM strategies to address competitive challenges and meet consumer expectations optimally.

Abstract

Halal tourism has become a rapidly growing sector of the global economy, driven by the increasing population of shariah-conscious Muslims and the demand for travel experiences that are in line with Islamic values. However, this growth demands a robust framework that not only ensures shariah compliance at the transactional level (fiqh muamalah maliyah), but also promotes social justice, environmental sustainability, and long-term economic resilience. This article presents a new paradigm that deeply integrates maqashid shariah (the highest objectives of shariah) with sustainable business models in the halal tourism ecosystem. Using a critical literature analysis approach and conceptual study, this article examines how the core principles of Islamic jurisprudence such as the prohibition of riba, gharar (uncertainty), maysir (gambling), justice ('adl), transparency, and social responsibility (maslahah) can serve as the foundation for building an authentic and sustainable halal tourism business model. The article argues that the integration of maqasid shariah (especially the protection of religion (hifz al-din), life (hifz al-nafs), intellect (hifz al-'aql), progeny (hifz al-nasl), and property (hifz al-mal)) not only strengthens shariah compliance but also creates significant added value through increased brand trust, consumer loyalty, better risk management, responsible innovation, and contribution to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Case studies and best practices from various destinations are illustrated to demonstrate the practical application of this paradigm. This article concludes that the holistic integration of fiqh muamalah maliyah, maqashid shariah, and sustainable business principles is essential not only for the religious legitimacy of halal tourism, but also for its competitive sustainability and meaningful contribution to the well-being of humanity and the planet.

Abstract

Organizational resilience has become a strategic necessity in increasingly volatile and uncertain environments. This study examines how strategic human resource management (HRM) practices specifically HR flexibility, leadership agility, and strategic workforce planning contribute to enhancing organizational resilience. The research problem lies in the fragmented understanding of how these HR components interact and under what conditions they effectively foster resilience. To address this, the study aims to develop a conceptual model integrating these three HRM dimensions, with employee engagement as a mediating variable and organizational culture as a moderating factor. A qualitative exploratory approach was applied through a structured literature review of 35 peer reviewed articles published between 2020 and 2024. Thematic content analysis was conducted using NVivo software to identify patterns and relationships among the variables. The findings reveal that HR flexibility supports operational adaptability, leadership agility enhances strategic responsiveness, and workforce planning ensures long term preparedness. Employee engagement amplifies the effectiveness of these HR strategies, while organizational culture determines the extent to which they translate into resilience outcomes. This integrative framework highlights the importance of aligning HR practices within a supportive cultural context. The study concludes that organizational resilience emerges not from isolated HR initiatives but from their synergistic interaction within a dynamic capability framework. These findings offer both theoretical contributions and practical implications for HR leaders seeking to strengthen resilience through human capital strategies.

Abstract

This study explores the implications of carbon tax implementation on the financial accounting practices of industrial companies in developing countries. Amid growing pressure to internalize environmental costs, firms face significant challenges in adapting their accounting systems to accommodate carbon liabilities, particularly in contexts with weak regulatory infrastructure. The objective of this research is to examine how carbon tax policies affect financial disclosures, cost structures, and reporting behaviors, while assessing the mediating role of sustainability reporting and the moderating effect of regulatory quality. A qualitative case study approach was employed, drawing on semi structured interviews with finance professionals and regulatory officers, complemented by document analysis of financial statements and sustainability reports. Thematic analysis revealed three core findings: (1) carbon taxes compel firms to record environmental obligations as liabilities and operational costs; (2) companies with established sustainability reporting systems demonstrate greater adaptability in integrating carbon data into financial records; and (3) strong regulatory environments enhance policy compliance and accounting transparency. These results support an integrated framework linking fiscal environmental policy, institutional quality, and financial accounting adaptation. The study concludes that the effectiveness of carbon taxation in transforming accounting practices is highly contingent on corporate reporting capacity and governance conditions. Policy recommendations emphasize the need for synchronized development of carbon tax regulations, institutional support, and adoption of international reporting standards to foster accurate and consistent environmental disclosures across the industrial sector.

Abstract

This study explores the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on consumer behavior within digital commerce environments. The rapid integration of AI technologies such as personalized recommendations, automated customer service, and algorithmic decision making has reshaped how consumers interact with brands, influencing both psychological and behavioral outcomes. However, existing models like the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) often overlook emotional, trust related, and contextual dynamics in AI mediated interactions. This research aims to fill these gaps by applying a qualitative, systematic literature review methodology, guided by the Stimulus Organism Response (S-O-R) framework. Through reflexive thematic analysis of academic sources published between 2020 and 2025, four key constructs were identified: AI personalization, consumer trust, emotional response, and technological readiness. Findings indicate that while AI driven personalization enhances engagement and purchase intention, its effectiveness depends on trust, emotional comfort, and individual readiness to adopt new technologies. The study proposes a conceptual model integrating these factors, highlighting that AI’s success in shaping consumer behavior hinges on ethical design, transparency, and psychological alignment with user traits. These insights extend current theoretical understanding and offer practical implications for marketers and system designers. The study concludes that a consumer centric, emotionally intelligent approach to AI design is essential to achieving sustainable digital engagement and loyalty.

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of remote and hybrid work models on employee productivity and well being, two critical dimensions of performance in the evolving landscape of digital work. Despite the increasing adoption of flexible work arrangements, research remains fragmented regarding their holistic effects. This study addresses that gap by examining how work life balance mediates and organizational support moderates the relationship between work models and employee outcomes. Employing an exploratory qualitative approach, data were collected through semi structured interviews with 15 participants from the education, technology, and finance sectors. Thematic analysis revealed five core themes: work flexibility, work life balance, organizational support, mental well being, and motivation. Findings indicate that while flexibility enhances autonomy and efficiency, it can blur personal professional boundaries without adequate organizational support. Work life balance emerged as a critical mediator in sustaining productivity and psychological health, whereas organizational support moderated the effects of flexibility and stress. These results validate the theoretical framework based on the Job Demands Resources and Conservation of Resources models. The study concludes that remote and hybrid work models can improve performance and well being when supported by clear boundaries and inclusive organizational strategies. This research contributes a conceptual model for designing sustainable digital work environments and offers practical implications for human resource management in flexible settings.
