Abstract

General Background: Productivity is a crucial indicator of a company's success, driven significantly by human resources, especially during challenging times. Specific Background: Effective management of human resources, including fostering a conducive work environment, leadership style, and communication, is essential to optimize employee performance and achieve organizational goals. Knowledge Gap: While the impact of peer support, leadership style, and communication on employee productivity is acknowledged, specific evidence within the context of motor dealerships, particularly in Indonesia, remains underexplored. Aims: This study investigates the influence of peer support, leadership style, and communication on employee productivity at the Honda MPM Motor Ponorogo Dealer. Results: The study, conducted using a quantitative approach with data collected from 50 employees through questionnaires, revealed that peer support, leadership style, and communication each significantly and positively impact productivity. The results were validated through multiple linear regression analysis using SPSS. Novelty: This research highlights the simultaneous and significant effects of these factors on productivity within a motor dealership context, providing specific insights into the Indonesian market. Implications: The findings suggest that enhancing peer relationships, adopting effective leadership practices, and improving communication can substantially boost employee productivity. For the MPM Motor Ponorogo Dealer, these results offer actionable recommendations, such as fostering better interpersonal understanding among employees, encouraging leadership to motivate and guide, and providing communication training. Future research is encouraged to explore additional factors influencing productivity, such as work motivation and competency, to build on these findings

Abstract

General Background: The decision-making process of consumers is influenced by various factors, including lifestyle, brand image, and brand equity. Specific Background: For Eiger, a well-known outdoor equipment brand, understanding these influences is crucial, particularly in the context of its consumer base in Madiun. Knowledge Gap: Despite the significance of these factors, limited research has been conducted on their specific impacts on purchasing decisions in the Eiger brand context, especially in Madiun. Aims: This study aims to analyze the influence of lifestyle, brand image, and brand equity on the purchasing decisions of Eiger consumers in Madiun, employing a quantitative approach. Results: The study reveals that lifestyle has a negative and significant impact on purchasing decisions, brand image does not significantly affect purchasing decisions, and brand equity has a positive and significant influence on purchasing decisions. Novelty: These findings provide new insights into the varying impacts of these factors within the Eiger brand, particularly the unexpected negative influence of lifestyle on purchasing decisions, which contrasts with conventional expectations. Implications: The results suggest that Eiger should re-evaluate its marketing strategies in Madiun, particularly by focusing on enhancing brand equity while reconsidering how lifestyle factors are addressed in their promotional efforts. This research contributes to a deeper understanding of consumer behavior in niche markets and offers practical implications for brand management and marketing strategy formulation.

Abstract

General Background: In the competitive motorcycle industry, factors such as Country of Origin (COO), Brand Image, and Perceived Quality significantly influence consumer purchasing decisions. Specific Background: Understanding the influence of these factors on consumer interest, particularly for popular models like the Yamaha NMAX, is crucial for effective marketing strategies in specific regions such as Ponorogo. Knowledge Gap: However, limited research has been conducted to explore the simultaneous effects of these variables on consumer purchasing interest, especially in less urbanized areas like Ponorogo, where consumer preferences may differ from urban centers. Aims: This study aims to analyze the influence of COO, Brand Image, and Perceived Quality on the interest in purchasing Yamaha NMAX motorcycles in Ponorogo, both individually and collectively. Results: The findings indicate that while COO has a statistically significant influence, the relationship is negative, suggesting that other factors outweigh the impact of COO in shaping purchase interest. Conversely, Brand Image and Perceived Quality both exhibit positive and significant effects on consumer interest, highlighting their roles as critical determinants in the purchasing decision process. Novelty: The study's novelty lies in its exploration of these variables in a less-studied, regional context, providing new insights into consumer behavior outside major urban centers. Implications: The results suggest that marketing strategies for Yamaha NMAX in Ponorogo should prioritize enhancing Brand Image and Perceived Quality rather than emphasizing COO, as these factors are more influential in driving purchase interest. These findings contribute to a nuanced understanding of regional consumer behavior, which can inform targeted marketing efforts and product positioning in similar contexts.

Abstract

General Background: Effective human resource management is essential for organizational growth, particularly in fostering employee job satisfaction. Specific Background: Employee engagement, organizational culture, and work motivation are widely recognized as key factors influencing job satisfaction, yet their specific impacts may vary across organizations. Knowledge Gap: While previous studies have explored these variables, limited research has focused on their combined effect within the context of PT Pegadaian Ponorogo. Aims: This study aims to determine the partial and simultaneous effects of employee engagement, organizational culture, and work motivation on employee job satisfaction at PT Pegadaian Ponorogo. Results: The research, conducted using a quantitative approach with a population of 74 employees, reveals that employee engagement and work motivation each have a significant positive effect on job satisfaction, while organizational culture has an insignificant negative impact. Simultaneously, these three variables together influence job satisfaction. Novelty: This study contributes new insights by highlighting the differing effects of organizational culture versus engagement and motivation, emphasizing that strong engagement and motivation drive satisfaction even when organizational culture does not. Implications: The findings suggest that improving employee engagement and fostering work motivation should be prioritized in management strategies to enhance overall job satisfaction, while organizational culture may require re-evaluation to better align with employee satisfaction objectives.

Abstract

General Background: Financial distress is a critical condition that companies experience before bankruptcy or dissolution, making its identification essential to prevent such outcomes. Specific Background: In recent years, aspects of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) have gained attention as potential indicators of financial health, particularly in manufacturing companies. Knowledge Gap: However, limited research examines how ESG factors influence financial distress, especially in the context of emerging markets like Indonesia. Aims: This study investigates the impact of ESG disclosures on financial distress among manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during 2019–2022. Results: The results indicate that corporate governance disclosure has a significant negative effect on financial distress (p = 0.008), whereas environmental and social disclosures do not show a significant impact (p = 0.342 and p = 0.455, respectively). Novelty: This study highlights the distinct role of governance in mitigating financial distress, differentiating it from environmental and social disclosures, which have shown no significant effect. Implications: The findings suggest that corporate governance improvements may help companies avoid financial distress, while environmental and social factors may require further investigation for more comprehensive insights.

Abstract

Background: The relationship between music and productivity has garnered significant interest in both educational and workplace settings, prompting investigations into the cognitive and emotional mechanisms through which music influences task performance. Specific Background: Existing literature suggests that music can enhance cognitive processes, yet findings remain inconclusive regarding its overall impact on productivity levels, particularly in relation to individual differences and environmental factors. Knowledge Gap: Limited empirical studies have simultaneously addressed how genre preferences, personality traits, and contextual variables moderate the effects of music on productivity, highlighting the need for a comprehensive examination of these interactions. Aims: This research aims to elucidate the relationship between music listening and productivity levels among students and employees by employing a mixed-methods approach, integrating quantitative surveys and qualitative interviews. Results: Preliminary findings indicate that music listening positively influences cognitive processes such as concentration and memory while also alleviating stress and anxiety, thus enhancing overall task performance. However, variations were noted based on individual music preferences and the nature of the tasks performed. Novelty: This study uniquely synthesizes insights from psychology, neuroscience, and organizational behavior to provide a nuanced understanding of how music can be effectively integrated into productivity-enhancing strategies. Implications: The results suggest that educators and employers should consider individual preferences and contextual factors when incorporating music into productivity frameworks. By fostering environments conducive to music listening and allowing flexibility in music selection, stakeholders can optimize performance and well-being, thereby promoting creativity and satisfaction in both educational and workplace settings.
