Abstract

Objective: Work stress is an adaptive response influenced by individual characteristics and psychological processes, which arises from external situations or actions that put certain psychological and physical pressure on individuals. In a corporate environment, employees are often faced with various job demands. Social support plays a significant role in reducing the negative impact of stressful work or excessive workload. This support can come from coworkers, superiors, family, close friends, or the surrounding environment. The greater the support received by employees, the lower the level of work stress they feel. Excessive workload is one of the causes of decreased employee performance. High production demands with limited work deadlines can create excessive work pressure, potentially reducing productivity. Method: This study uses a quantitative correlational method, which aims to analyze the relationship between two or more variables through statistical processing of numerical data. Results: The results of the multiple correlation test show that there is a significant relationship simultaneously between social support and workload with work stress. This is indicated by the F Change Significance value of 0.003 which is smaller than 0.05 (p < 0.05). The correlation value (R) of 0.480 indicates that the relationship between the two independent variables with work stress has a fairly close relationship. Novelty: Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between social support and work stress in employees of PT. X. High social support plays an important role in reducing work stress levels. Conversely, low social support has the potential to increase work stress. Workload also has a significant relationship with work stress, where high workload tends to increase physical, emotional, and social stress on employees.

Abstract

Objective: The purpose of this study is to address the gap in previous research that focuses on social media marketing towards B2C customer loyalty through the role of trust and service quality. Method: This study uses quantitative research. The sampling technique used in this study is the non-probability sampling technique, namely purposive sampling. The sample used in this study was 100 respondents who had made repeat purchases and new customers at PT BRI Finance. The data was processed using SmartPLS 4.0. Results: The results of this study indicate that social media marketing towards customer loyalty is not significant with a p-value of 0.092 > 0.05. However, social media marketing has a positive effect on service quality with a p-value of 0.00 < 0.05, and it also has a positive effect on trust with a p-value of 0.00 < 0.05. Meanwhile, service quality does not have a significant effect on customer loyalty with a p-value of 0.163 > 0.05, and trust also does not have a positive effect on customer loyalty with a p-value of 0.085 > 0.05. Furthermore, social media marketing on customer loyalty through trust does not have a significant effect with a p-value of 0.087 > 0.05, and social media marketing on customer loyalty through service quality also does not have a significant effect with a p-value of 0.143 > 0.05. Novelty: This study highlights the limited direct impact of social media marketing on customer loyalty and the mediating role of trust and service quality, contributing to a deeper understanding of the relationship between digital marketing strategies and consumer behavior in the B2C sector.

Abstract

Objective: This study aims to analyze farmer behavior through the application of the Theory of Planned Behavior on the interest in buying organic fertilizer, with motivation as an intervening variable in the context of sustainable agriculture. Method: This research was conducted using a quantitative research method. The number of samples was determined through a purposive sampling method, resulting in a total of 100 farmers in Banyuwangi Regency. Results: The results indicate that behavioral attitudes and subjective norms do not directly affect the interest in buying organic fertilizer. However, behavioral control and motivation have a direct influence on the interest in buying organic fertilizer. Indirectly, motivation mediates the relationship between behavioral attitudes and behavioral control with the interest in buying organic fertilizer, but it does not mediate the effect of subjective norms on the interest in buying organic fertilizer. Novelty: This study provides insights into the role of motivation in mediating the relationship between behavioral factors and the interest in buying organic fertilizer. Additionally, the findings highlight the importance of government support in encouraging and motivating young farmers to improve sustainable agricultural practices.

Abstract

Objective: This study examines the effect of cigarette excise increase and consumption behavior on the prevalence of smokers in Indonesia, with household expenditure as an intervening variable. Indonesia has one of the highest prevalence rates of smokers in the world, which has a significant impact on public health and household economic conditions. Method: Using a quantitative approach and survey-based data collection, the number of samples was determined through the stratified random sampling method with the number of samples obtained as many as 100 respondents with smokers over the age of 17 years in East Java Province. Results: The results of the study show that the increase in cigarette excise does not directly affect household spending on cigarettes. Cigarette consumption behavior is the main factor that determines the amount of household spending. Household expenditure plays an intervening variable that links the increase in cigarette excise with the prevalence of smokers. The increase in cigarette excise has a direct impact on the prevalence of smokers, but the impact is partly mediated by household spending. Novelty: To support the Government's steps in increasing cigarette excise, it should be accompanied by additional policies, such as health campaigns and restrictions on access to cigarettes. As well as additional regulations such as the ban on cigarette advertising and the smoker rehabilitation program can strengthen the effect of the excise increase.

Abstract

Objective: This study aims to analyze the relationship between emotional regulation, family background, and self-injury tendencies among young adults from Islamic broken-home families. Method: While self-injury has been widely studied, research focusing on young adults from broken-home families in Islamic communities remains scarce. Family background plays a crucial role in shaping emotional resilience, yet little is known about how these individuals regulate emotions and seek social support. Existing studies lack specific insights into the impact of emotional regulation, social support, and coping strategies on self-injury within this demographic. Results: The findings reveal that individuals with poor emotional regulation and lack of family support are more likely to engage in self-injury. Conversely, those with strong coping mechanisms and positive social interactions demonstrate better emotional well-being. Novelty: This research provides new insights into the cultural and familial influences on self-injury, filling a gap in the literature. The study underscores the need for psychological support, family counseling, and social interventions to reduce self-injury risks among vulnerable individuals.

Abstract

Objective: The increasing phenomenon of aggressive behavior among students in schools has become a critical issue that requires serious attention. Currently, aggressive behavior is not only found among middle and high school students but also among elementary school students. An initial survey revealed that several students exhibited aggressive behaviors such as hitting, pushing, throwing objects, mocking, threatening, and using harsh language. This study aims to examine the relationship between online gaming and aggressive behavior among upper-grade elementary school students at SDN Tanggul. Method: The research employs a quantitative approach with a correlational research design. The sampling technique used is total sampling, involving 135 students.  Results:  The correlation test results indicate a score of (r = 0.762, p-value < 0.001), which suggests a significant positive relationship between the intensity of online gaming and students' aggressive behavior. The findings reveal that the majority of students have a moderate level of online gaming intensity (57%) and exhibit moderate levels of aggressive behavior (67.4%). Novelty:  The uniqueness of this study lies in its focus on the research subject. Unlike previous research, which examined the relationship beetween online gaming and aggressive behavior among vocational high school student, this study specificially investigates the instensity of online gaming and its correlation with aggressive behavior among upper-grade elementary school students.
