Abstract

This study investigates the effects of lax enforcement of sexual harassment policies in Islamic boarding schools (pesantren). It analyzes how inadequate disciplinary measures impact victims, the educational environment, and community perceptions. Through a mixed method, including surveys, in-depth interviews, and field observations, this study aims to shed light on the urgency for robust policies and effective enforcement to ensure the safety and well-being of students. This paper explores how pesantren in West Java, Indonesia, actively challenge stereotypes linking religious institutions to sexual harassment. Often mischaracterized as patriarchal and resistant to addressing social issues, pesantren refute these perceptions by fostering environments rooted in Islamic values of dignity, respect, and ethical conduct. Pesantrens shape society's moral, ethical, and spiritual values. However, cases of sexual harassment and weak enforcement of related policies have raised serious concerns about the integrity of these institutions. This study examines the social, psychological, and institutional impacts of inadequate disciplinary measures on victims, perpetrators, and the pesantren community. The findings reveal how lenient sanctions perpetuate a culture of impunity, erode trust, and undermine the moral authority of pesantrens, calling for immediate reforms aligned with Islamic and human rights principles.

Abstract

Purwabakti Tourism Village has great tourism potential, but the number of tourist visits is still low. In 2023, the village only received an average of 50 tourists per month, or around 0.19% of the total domestic tourists in Pamijahan Sub-district. Some of the factors that cause the low number of visits are not optimal tourism management, lack of supporting facilities, limited accessibility, and lack of promotion. This study aims to analyze the internal and external factors that influence the development of Purwabakti Tourism Village using SWOT analysis and formulate the right strategy to increase the village's tourism attractiveness. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method with data collection through interviews with the Tourism Awareness Group (Pokdarwis), tourism managers, and representatives of the Bogor Regency Culture and Tourism Office. Field observations were also conducted to assess the condition of village tourism. Data were analyzed using SWOT analysis, then strategies were developed through TOWS Matrix In addition, strategy evaluation was conducted using the IFE (Internal Factor Evaluation) Matrix and the EFE (External Factor Evaluation) Matrix to determine the village's strategic position. The results showed that Purwabakti Tourism Village is in cell 6 in the IE Matrix, so the recommended strategy is the harvest strategy. This strategy focuses on optimizing existing resources to increase revenue without large investments. The main recommendations include improving tourism infrastructure, increasing promotion, and maintaining tourism sustainability. Through the implementation of this strategy, it is expected that the number of tourist visits will increase and the village can contribute more to the local economy.

Abstract

Technological development requires everyone to carry out activities in cyberspace. Cybercriminals exploit the exchange of information to steal important data, which indirectly contributes to data leakage. Indonesia is one of the countries with the most internet users in the world and often experiences data leaks. Therefore, the risk of cyber threats coincides with technological use. This research discusses the extent of the Indonesian government's political will to overcome cyber threats. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative type that uses Brinkerhoff's political will theory. The results show that the Indonesian government is strongly committed to overcoming cybersecurity threats and data leaks through the establishment of the BSSN institution and coordination with various parties. However, weak security awareness among policymakers and the public, gaps in cybersecurity education and understanding, budget limitations, weak cybersecurity systems, and sectoral egos present challenges to strengthening cybersecurity in Indonesia and cause data leaks. Thus, the government's concrete steps to establish the Cyber Security and Resilience Bill are expected to fill the regulatory vacuum so that the implementation of cyber security policies can be optimized. Increasing government security awareness, prioritizing the cybersecurity budget, ensuring the availability of competent resources, conducting well-coordinated efforts, providing education, and encouraging active community involvement are solutions that can protect data from growing threats. Keywords: political will; cybersecurity; data leakage

Abstract

Discussions about human resources are important for the development of an organization. Low affective commitment and work ethic among the committee members of the Komunitas Senyum Anak Nusantara (SAN) Chapter Sidoarjo have led to suboptimal performance within the community. This study aims to identify and analyze the influence of affective commitment and work ethic on the performance of SAN Chapter Sidoarjo community members. This is a quantitative study with three variables: affective commitment, work ethic, and member performance, conducted on the SAN Chapter Sidoarjo community. The sampling method used non-probability sampling with a saturated sampling technique approach.
