Abstract

Mekarsari Awet Ayu is a car rental service provider, specializing in Elf cars, which still uses a manual system for reservations and data recording. This causes various problems, such as recording errors, limited access to information, and difficulty in monitoring vehicle availability. This study aims to design and develop a web-based car rental reservation information system that can facilitate customers in making reservations and assist the company in data management. This system was designed using the PHP programming language, MySQL as the database, and the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) software development method. The results of the implementation show that the developed system is capable of facilitating the reservation process, displaying real-time vehicle availability information, and improving the company's operational efficiency.

Abstract

This study evaluates the Academic Information System (SIAKAD) interface at Universitas Majalengka using the Heuristic Evaluation method to identify usability issues. The evaluation focuses on two main scenarios, namely the login process and access to the Study Result Card (KHS). The evaluation was conducted by three independent evaluators based on Jakob Nielsen's ten heuristic principles Nielsen. The findings show that there are four usability issues, with three issues categorized as high priority (major) and one issue as low priority (minor). The main issues were found on the login page in the form of uninformative error messages and password text that was not visible to users. Additionally, inconsistencies were found in the navigation access to KHS, which is still integrated with the Course Registration History page. These findings indicate the need for clear error messages, a redesign of the information architecture, and the addition of modern support features to enhance the user experience. This research opens up opportunities for further testing using methods that involve direct users to comprehensively validate the findings. The recommended improvements are expected to increase the effectiveness, efficiency, and user satisfaction in the overall use of the SIAKAD at the University of Majalengka.

Abstract

Communication between students and student associations often encounters obstacles, especially in conveying criticism and suggestions openly due to psychological factors and media limitations. This results in a lack of active student participation in conveying aspirations that should be used as material for organizational evaluation and improvement. This study aims to design a web-based user interface for the Informatics Student Association organizational information system that supports the delivery of informatics student aspirations through anonymous feedback features and the integration of an Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based chatbot to provide initial responses to student questions. The system design method was built using the Goal Directed Design (GDD) Method. The results of this study are expected to be a system that can be built and implemented to facilitate two-way communication more effectively, provide a safe space for students to convey criticism and suggestions, and assist the organization in managing information in a more structured manner. With this system, the level of student participation in conveying aspirations can be increased, and the organization obtains more relevant data for decision-making and evaluation of organizational performance.

Abstract

Majalengka Creative Center (MCC) is a creative industry hub in Majalengka Regency that still faces marketing limitations due to its reliance on offline sales. This study aims to design and implement a catalog website as a marketing medium using the Waterfall method, which includes requirement analysis, system design with UML, implementation with PHP and MySQL, and testing with blackbox methods. The developed website provides product management features for administrators and catalog browsing, product search, and ordering via WhatsApp for users. Testing results show that all features function as expected, enabling the system to improve information management efficiency, expand market reach, and provide consumers with a more practical shopping experience.

Abstract

This study aims to design a web-based application for measuring public satisfaction with services at the Department of Communication and Informatics of Majalengka Regency. The background of this research is the absence of a structured system to measure and analyze the level of public satisfaction with public services, which limits community access and participation in providing feedback. The method used is the Rational Unified Process (RUP), which includes the stages of inception, elaboration, construction, and transition. The result of this research is a web-based application that enables the public to directly provide assessments of the services received, while the Department of Communication and Informatics can monitor survey results as a benchmark for improving service quality. The conclusion of this study is that the developed system is able to assist the public in submitting evaluations and facilitate the agency in managing satisfaction data, thereby enhancing transparency and the quality of public services.

Abstract

Tourism is a crucial sector for increasing regional income while promoting local potential. Majalengka Regency boasts a variety of tourist destinations, both natural and man-made, yet promotion and information provision remain limited. This study aims to design and implement a web-based Tourism Geographic Information System (GIS) that can provide comprehensive information on tourist destinations in Majalengka Regency. The system development method used is Rapid Application Development (RAD) with the stages of requirements planning, system design, development, and testing. The system was built using modern web technology, making it easily accessible without additional installation. Test results using the black-box testing method indicate that the system is capable of displaying destination information interactively, including descriptions, facilities, ticket prices, map locations, reviews, and ratings. For administrators, the system facilitates fast and efficient management of tourism data. Thus, the implementation of a web-based tourism GIS using the RAD method increases the effectiveness of tourism promotion and supports destination management in Majalengka Regency.

Abstract

The black box effect in artificial intelligence models has raised serious concerns regarding transparency and accountability. Explainable Artificial Intelligence (XAI) has emerged as a solution by offering interpretability and clearer reasoning in complex models. This study aims to analyze the development of XAI research and identify dominant approaches used to overcome the limitations of black box models. A bibliometric method was applied using data from the Scopus database, focusing on publication trends, author keywords, and frequently applied methods. The analysis shows that research on XAI has grown rapidly, with the number of publications increasing more than tenfold within the observed period. The trend demonstrates that interpretability is becoming a central aspect of artificial intelligence research. Keyword analysis highlights the strong association of XAI with machine learning and deep learning, while method analysis reveals that SHAP and LIME are the most dominant techniques, supported by Grad CAM and Surrogate Models in more specific applications. These findings confirm that XAI is not only an academic discourse but also an urgent response to the challenges of modern AI systems, ensuring that models are not only accurate but also transparent, understandable, and trustworthy for decision making.

Abstract

The development of artificial intelligence technology has opened up opportunities for the application of Speech Emotion Recognition (SER) in various fields, including arts and culture. Manual voice emotion assessment is often subjective, so a more objective and practical application-based solution is needed. This study aims to design an Android application interface to recognize various human voice emotions that can support the Tourism and Culture Office at Majalengka Regency (Disparbud Majalengka) in evaluating artistic and cultural expressions. The methodology used is Rapid Application Development (RAD), which emphasizes the speed of iteration and prototyping by involving user feedback. The research process included literature studies, observations, interviews, needs analysis, wireframe design, UML diagram creation, and interface implementation using Android Studio with the Kotlin programming language. The implementation results showed that the application was able to provide key features such as voice recording, emotion analysis, recording history storage, and data management. Testing was conducted using Black Box Testing to ensure that the system functions according to specifications, as well as the System Usability Scale (SUS) method to assess the user experience. The SUS score obtained shows that the application is in the “acceptable” category and is therefore suitable for use. This research is expected to support technological innovation in the development of local arts and culture.

Abstract

Advances in information technology have encouraged companies to transform themselves into more efficient and practical digital services. PT Mega Artha Lintas Data's Majalengka branch still uses manual methods to manage internet package selection and payments, making it prone to recording errors and verification delays. This study aims to design and build an e-business website as a means of digitizing customer services, particularly in selecting internet packages and paying bills. The development method used is the Waterfall model with stages of requirements analysis, design, implementation, and testing. The website was developed using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for the interface and integrated with the Midtrans payment gateway as a digital payment simulation. The implementation results show that the website is capable of displaying internet package information, providing transaction pages, and validating payments through pop-up notifications. Testing using the Blackbox Testing method shows that the main features work as designed. This research has produced an e-business website design that can improve customer service efficiency, although further development is still needed, such as the addition of an internal database and back-end integration, so that it can be fully implemented in company operations.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a prototype of a company profile website for the Environmental Agency Dinas Lingkungan Hidup (DLH) of Majalengka Regency as an initial step to support public information transparency and service digitalization. Currently, DLH Majalengka does not have an official website, which makes it difficult for the public to access information regarding environmental data, waste management, or complaint services. To address this issue, the research adopts the Rapid Application Development (RAD) method, which emphasizes fast development and user involvement in every stage. The research process includes requirements planning, system design using wireframes and UML diagrams, system development with the NextJS framework supported by TailwindCSS and Prisma ORM, and testing using blackbox feature testing. The results indicate that the prototype website has met the agency’s basic needs, including presenting organizational profiles, structure, environmental data publications, public complaint services, and an admin dashboard for report management. Significantly, this research contributes to strengthening e-government practices at the regional level, improving institutional transparency, and creating opportunities for further system development. The prototype has great potential to be officially implemented and to serve as a reference for developing government websites in other regions of Indonesia.
