Abstract

Sugar production begins with the sugarcane milling stage at the milling station. The main machines at this station consist of sugarcane cutter, unigrator, and milling unit. The unigrator is powered by a steam turbine that converts steam energy into mechanical energy. This study aims to determine the production capacity of the unigrator within one hour. The results show that the unigrator requires 58.98 kW/Th of power with a Preparation Index (PI) of 91.728%. A higher PI value indicates better juice extraction performance. The unigrator requires 15.75 tons of steam per hour to operate optimally.

Abstract

In today’s food industry, machines need to run effectively to keep up with demand. At PT Indofood Sukses Makmur Tbk., Bogasari Division, the Autocase D-600 packaging machine is a key part of the Consumer Packing process. This study looks at how well the machine performs on line 1 and line 2 by using the Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) method. Over 24 days, data on machine hours, downtime, production, and product defects were collected. The findings show that line 1 runs quite well, with many results close to global standards, while line 2 struggles because of frequent breakdowns, especially from faulty sensors. The study highlights the importance of preventive maintenance and operator training to keep performance high. In short, OEE helps the company see where improvements are needed to make packaging more efficient and productive.

Abstract

PT Batra Alam Sejahtera is a company engaged in water drilling services and clean water management. The clean water distribution system carried out by the company is to collect water flowed from several boreholes by submersible pumps to the storage tank, so that damage to one of the submersible pumps will affect the amount of water supply produced and have an impact on the water discharge that can be flowed to consumers. Submersible pump well 2 has the highest downtime among the 3 submersible pumps used, the engine performance should be maintained to ensure all consumers can be supplied with clean water, so an analysis of pump maintenance is needed so that pump performance can be maintained. To overcome this problem, this research aims to find the cause of damage to the pump with the Fault Tree Analysis method and determine the maintenance schedule time with the Reliability Centered Maintenance method. The initial step is to find the cause of the damage by creating a fault tree structure, followed by the calculation of TTR, TTF, MTTR, MTTF, Reliability and maintenance time intervals so that the final goal of the research is to create a maintenance schedule for both submersible pump components, namely Electromotor and Impeller. Based on the results of the fault tree structure analysis, the causes of submersible pump damage can be caused by the use of inappropriate electromotor, impeller, and cable specifications, damaged bearings, interference from the electricity network used, no protection system, inappropriate automatic radar settings, damaged electromotor seals, no regular maintenance schedule, workers lack of understanding and lack of thoroughness when installing. Based on the results of this study with a reliability value of 80%, the inspection interval time for the Electromotor component is 1002.2 hours and the Impeller component is 1637.7 hours with maintenance actions taken, namely inspection, cleaning, and component replacement.

Abstract

Over time, the use of technology has become important in various aspects of daily life. One example is the field of education, the development and utilization of technology in learning can increase student interest because it offers a more interactive and dynamic learning experience. This study aims to develop an interactive educational game exploring Islamic history in West Java, with a case study at the Assalam Maja Madrasah Aliyah School. This game was developed to help students understand Islamic history material, especially Islamic history in West Java. The development methodology used is the GDLC Model, which involves the stages of initialization/concept creation, preproduction, creation, testing, beta, and launch. This educational game allows students to learn Islamic history in West Java through interactive quizzes and visually presented materials. The test results comparing conventional methods with this game, which are calculated using the N-Gain Score, show that this game is quite effective in improving students' understanding of Islamic history in West Java with a value range of 0.6. It is hoped that the development of this interactive educational game of Islamic history in West Java can be an alternative effective learning media.

Abstract

The development of digital technology requires vocational high school students to have adequate digital literacy for more effective learning. At Bhakti Kencana Jatiwangi Health Vocational High School, low digital literacy and limited use of technology hinder the learning process. To address this, e-learning was developed as a digital literacy learning tool. This system allows students to access materials and take quizzes interactively, while providing a more flexible and engaging learning experience. Features include material management, quiz creation, and the role of administrators in verifying and publishing content. The development results indicate that e-learning can support student engagement, facilitate teacher learning management, and create a more adaptive and interactive learning process. This approach is expected to be an innovative strategy to improve the quality of vocational learning, while being relevant to educational needs in the digital era.

Abstract

This study presents the development of an interactive educational game designed to support learning of tajwid and memorization of Juz ’Amma. The game was developed using the Game Development Life Cycle (GDLC) method and implemented with Unity, featuring modules for tajwid theory, examples with audio, and recitation of Juz ’Amma, as well as interactive quizzes. Usability testing was conducted with students at MTs Assalam Cokroaminoto Maja to evaluate ease of use, efficiency, memorability, error rate, and user satisfaction. Results indicate that the game effectively enhances motivation, improves comprehension of tajwid rules, and supports memorization of Juz ’Amma in an engaging and enjoyable way. With positive feedback from users and minimal error rates, this interactive learning media demonstrates its potential as an innovative tool for Islamic education, providing a more dynamic alternative to conventional learning methods. The integration of technology in this context also aligns with the learning needs of the digital generation, making Qur’an education more accessible and relevant.

Abstract

This paper proposes a joint-fusion multi-modal Artificial Intelligence of Things (AIoT) framework for precision horticulture on chili and tomato. We fuse time-series IoT signals (air/leaf temperature, humidity, soil moisture, pH, EC, PAR) with RGB/multispectral images of leaves, fruits, and canopy via an attention-based shared representation. In a 500 m² field trial in Majalengka with >5,000 labeled images and synchronized IoT streams (10-minute interval), our model outperforms single-modal baselines. For chili leaf disease detection, joint fusion reaches 90.0% accuracy (IoT-only 72.0%, vision-only 81.0%). For tomato maturity classification, it achieves 92.0% accuracy (IoT-only 68.0%, vision-only 84.0%). For yield estimation, the multi-modal regressor attains R² = 0.89. We detail data synchronization, train/validation/test splits, baseline configurations (IoT-LSTM, CNN/ViT, early/late fusion), and deployment on an edge-cloud pipeline. The results indicate that modeling cross-modal interactions improves robustness and decision support for irrigation, fertilization, and harvest scheduling. We conclude with ablation analyses and practical implications for Indonesian precision agriculture.

Abstract

Cats are pets that are susceptible to various diseases if not properly cared for, especially if the owner does not recognize the symptoms of disease in cats, potentially leading to incorrect treatment and worsening the cat's health condition. This study uses an expert system website to diagnose diseases in cats, using the Certainty Factor (CF) method. Certainty Factor is a method used to determine whether a fact has certainty or uncertainty, in the form of a metric that is generally applied in expert systems. This method is used to predict the possibility of disease based on symptoms inputted by the user, so that it can provide initial diagnosis results. The results of the study then conducted a questionnaire to see the usefulness of the system and obtained the results that 91.32% of respondents felt this system was appropriate and useful. In the future, it is hoped that this system can be developed with suggestions for initial treatment or appropriate medication for cats.

Abstract

Bullying in schools remains a serious issue that requires prompt and systematic handling. One of the main challenges in reporting cases is the absence of an integrated system that facilitates both students and school authorities in submitting and following up reports. This study aims to design and implement a web-based bullying case reporting system using the Extreme Programming (XP) development methodology. The research stages include planning, system design with Unified Modeling Language (UML) and Entity Relationship Diagram (ERD), implementation using PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, and MySQL database management system, as well as testing through the black box testing method. The results indicate that the developed system effectively supports the reporting process, improves transparency, and simplifies follow-up actions by the school. The black box testing results demonstrate that the system’s functionalities run as expected without significant errors. Therefore, the application of the XP methodology proves to be effective in accelerating the system development process, maintaining flexibility in addressing changing requirements, and delivering a system that meets user expectations. This research is expected to provide a practical solution to support bullying prevention and management in schools through web-based technology.

Abstract

The rapid growth of internet technology has transformed various business processes, including printing services that require efficiency and accuracy in order management. Conventional methods used by Mas Yan’s Printing, such as in-person and WhatsApp-based orders, often result in inefficiency, data loss, and customer dissatisfaction. This study aims to implement a mobile web- based digital ordering system with a focus on the frontend to improve service accessibility and operational effectiveness. The development process applied the Waterfall method, starting from system analysis, design using UML diagrams, coding with Laravel framework along with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and testing through Black Box method. The system provides several features including product catalog browsing, order placement, digital payment with proof upload, shopping cart management, and chat communication between customers and admin. Testing results show that all implemented features run properly and fulfill user requirements. The mobile web platform successfully reduces manual errors, shortens order processing time, and improves order data management. This implementation enhances customer convenience in accessing printing services and supports the business in reaching wider markets while maintaining competitive advantage.
