Abstract

All elements of society of course really hope for prosperity and the culture of corruption is certainly one of the threats to achieving that prosperity. The easiest and most effective effort to eradicate corruption is to instill the values of integrity in the younger generation. The younger generation has sufficient knowledge about corruption and anti-corruption behavior. This means that there is a weakness in the younger generation regarding awareness of developing an anti-corruption culture within themselves, so it can be concluded that anti-corruption education is needed for the younger generation in order to help grow their legal awareness. In this way, our team of lecturers and students held counseling with students at Cimahi City State Vocational High School 3 to provide understanding to the younger generation about corrupt behavior in our daily lives which we often accidentally do, and which has an impact on our future lives when we are adults. This outreach is intended to make the younger generation aware that corrupt behavior is a source of disaster for the nation's future. The younger generation is a milestone in implementing changes in a nation. The young generation with all its idealism can break the chain of corruption if it is equipped from an early age with an anti-corruption mentality which can be obtained through anti-corruption education.

Abstract

Bullying is currently still a frightening thing in the world of education in Indonesia. Bullying is a behaviour that is not often encountered in everyday life, but bullying behaviour cannot be ignored. If left alone, it will seriously impact the social environment, especially at the stage of student development. Victims who are bullied are usually quiet children and children who have difficulty getting along with their friends. Bullying occurs due to several causal factors, namely, economic differences, religion, gender, traditions, and the habit of seniors to punish their juniors, which often occurs. There are feelings of revenge or jealousy, and there is a desire to dominate the victim with physical strength and sexual attraction. Apart from that, the perpetrator carries out bullying to increase his popularity among his fellow players (per group). Counselling activities at Darul Hikmah Parongpong Middle School, West Bandung Regency, were held in January 2024 and were attended by several class VII VIII students, teachers, and students who helped carry out community service. The activities carried out include counselling on the prevention and handling of bullying in the school environment using the seminar method. Hopefully, this outreach activity can provide students with an understanding that the impact will bring destruction to the souls of the younger generation.

Abstract

Abstract

Turtles are a species that faces the threat of extinction due to habitat degradation, hunting, and marine pollution. North Lombok Regency has a coastal ecosystem that is an important habitat for turtles to lay their eggs, so conservation efforts are crucial. This community service program aims to optimize the release of hatchlings by increasing community and tourist participation as an ecotourism-based conservation strategy. The methods used include conservation education, community involvement in beach patrols, and hatchling releases involving tourists with a local wisdom-based approach. The results of the activities show an increase in community and tourist awareness of the importance of turtle conservation, as evidenced by their increased involvement in nest monitoring and hatchling releases. In addition, this program contributes to local economic growth through conservation-based ecotourism, where communities are starting to get involved in tourism support services. However, there are still challenges in terms of long-term funding and regulations that need to be strengthened to maintain a balance between tourism and conservation activities. In conclusion, a hatchling release program involving communities and tourists can be an effective and sustainable conservation model. With the right strategy, such as increasing education, partnerships with various parties, and supporting regulations, this program can continue to grow and provide ecological and socio-economic benefits for the community in North Lombok Regency.

Abstract

Abstract The widespread dissemination of false content (hoaxes) has become a significant challenge in today’s digital era. Limited digital literacy makes some individuals easily influenced and more likely to share unverified information. To address this issue, a Community Service Program (PKM) was conducted with the aim of educating residents about the dangers of digital hoaxes and how to identify them. The activity was held in a village in Bandung Regency, involving 45 participants, the majority of whom were members of the local youth organization (Karang Taruna). The method included obtaining permission and coordination with village authorities, delivering interactive educational sessions, and conducting group discussions and fact-checking simulations. The session began with an ice-breaking activity to foster engagement, followed by the presentation of materials and participatory discussion. The results showed that many participants were accustomed to receiving and forwarding chain messages without verification and expressed concern about suspicious links that might compromise personal data. A notable case discussed was the viral spread of a false robbery incident in Cangkorah Village, which was later revealed to be fabricated by the individual involved due to online loan issues. This activity received positive feedback and raised participants’ awareness of the need to be more critical of digital information. It is recommended that those who attended share their knowledge with others, and that the broader community exercise greater caution and patience when handling information to avoid unnecessary panic or social tension.
