Abstract

Logistics management has a strategic role in the processed food industry, especially in products with a limited shelf life such as bread. This study aims to analyze the application of logistics management of PT. Nippon Indosari Corpindo Tbk Purwakarta as a bread producer under the Sari Roti brand. The research method uses a descriptive qualitative approach through direct observation in the factory and informal interviews with company employees. The results of the study show that the company implements a multi-channel distribution system, including an internal fleet, hawker system, as well as cooperation with modern and traditional retail networks. The First In First Out (FIFO) strategy is applied in warehouse management to maintain product freshness, while the distribution information system helps monitor the flow of goods in real time. The main obstacle lies in high logistics costs and limited shelf life, so optimizing distribution routes and utilizing digital technology is an urgent need. These findings confirm that effective logistics management integration can improve operational efficiency, expand market reach, and strengthen the company's competitiveness in the bakery industry in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of competence and work discipline on employee performance at Bank Jatim Surabaya Branch. The research was motivated by the fact that in the increasingly competitive banking industry, human resources play a crucial role in ensuring service quality and organizational performance. Competence, which includes knowledge, skills, and attitudes, and work discipline, which reflects employees’ adherence to organizational rules and responsibilities, are believed to be key determinants of performance. The study employed a quantitative associative approach, involving 50 employees selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using questionnaires and documentation, and analyzed through multiple linear regression, t-test, F-test, and coefficient of determination (R²). The findings revealed that both competence and work discipline have positive and significant effects both partially and simultaneously on employee performance. The regression results show that competence contributes more strongly to performance (β = 0.412) compared to work discipline (β = 0.367). The F-test value of 24.57 with a significance of 0.000 (< 0.05) indicates that both independent variables jointly influence performance, while the coefficient of determination (R² = 0.61) suggests that 61% of performance variation is explained by competence and work discipline. These results confirm that competent and disciplined employees tend to deliver better service, achieve performance targets, and maintain operational accuracy critical aspects in the banking sector. Therefore, it is recommended that Bank Jatim management strengthen training programs to enhance employee competence and consistently enforce discipline to sustain high levels of performance and service excellence.

Abstract

Understanding the advantages and characteristics of gastronomic tourism, as mentioned, will greatly assist planners in developing it. Synergy with agriculture and livestock can be fostered in coastal areas with beautiful beaches, creating synergy between upstream and downstream sectors. Developing agricultural and livestock products in upstream areas, packaged into engaging activities, can also become a tourist attraction. One culinary product development well-known among Balinese people is preserving the mejotan culture as an authentic Balinese gastronomy. In contrast, tourism practitioners reported that they were aware of the mejotan tradition, but lacked any idea of how to package and sell it in villas or restaurants in the Abiansemal District of Badung. This is truly a missed opportunity, without providing the intended benefits. The food ingredients used as offerings in the mejotan tradition are sourced locally, such as rice, cassava, and pork, along with other equipment needed to process these ingredients. These ingredients, derived from local agriculture and livestock, undergo a traditional processing process, and are then used in the mejotan tradition. The purpose of this research is to develop the gastronomic potential of the mejotan tradition as a tourist attraction in the Abiansemal District of Badung, Bali. The approach used in this study is qualitative. In qualitative research, the phenomena used to determine the variables to be studied are holistic, so the research will not be determined based solely on the research variables, but rather on the entire social situation, encompassing the place, actors, and activities that interact synergistically.

Abstract

This study examines corruption in Indonesia from a criminological perspective, focusing on how social and economic factors contribute to its persistence. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, the research analyzes secondary data from the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), Statistics Indonesia (BPS), and Transparency International between 2020 and 2024. The findings reveal that corruption is not merely a legal violation but a socially learned and economically driven behavior embedded in Indonesia’s bureaucratic and cultural structures. Social elements such as patronage, nepotism, and weak moral control intersect with economic pressures like income inequality and inadequate welfare, forming a systemic environment conducive to corruption. Applying Differential Association Theory, Strain Theory, and Rational Choice Theory, this study interprets corruption as both a learned adaptation and a rational response to structural strain. The results highlight the need for multidimensional anti-corruption strategies that integrate institutional reform, socio-economic equality, and cultural transformation. This criminological approach offers deeper insight into the roots of corruption and provides a theoretical foundation for developing more effective preventive policies in Indonesia.

Abstract

The rapid evolution of digital communication has redefined the scope and limits of constitutional freedoms particularly the right to freedom of expression. In Indonesia, this right—enshrined in Articles 28E(3) and 28F of the 1945 Constitution—faces new challenges arising from the expansion of online speech and state regulation under the Electronic Information and Transactions Law (UU ITE). This study examines the constitutionality of restrictions on freedom of expression within Indonesia’s digital landscape through a doctrinal and case-based analysis of key Constitutional Court decisions, including Decisions No. 50/PUU-VI/2008, No. 2/PUU-VII/2009, No. 82/PUU-XII/2014, and No. 76/PUU-XV/2017.Findings reveal that the Constitutional Court consistently applies the principle of proportionality as the central test for evaluating the legitimacy of expression-related restrictions. The Court’s reasoning reflects an ongoing effort to harmonize domestic constitutional provisions with international human rights standards, particularly Article 19 of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR). While the UU ITE remains constitutionally valid, the Court has emphasized the need for legislative refinement to prevent vague or overly broad interpretations that could infringe upon democratic freedoms. The analysis further highlights that the digital era demands adaptive constitutional interpretation capable of reconciling technological innovation with enduring democratic principles. The Constitutional Court’s jurisprudence demonstrates that constitutional democracy in the digital age must be both protective and responsive—safeguarding individual liberty while ensuring that digital governance serves the public interest. Ultimately, this study underscores the Court’s pivotal role in shaping Indonesia’s constitutional evolution toward a rights-centered model of digital governance, ensuring that constitutional freedoms remain robust amid technological transformation.

Abstract

This study aims to formulate a business development strategy for Kebon Vintage Cars Denpasar, the largest classic car museum in Bali, using a SWOT analysis approach. This study adopted a qualitative descriptive method, with primary data collected through in-depth interviews and direct on-site observations, as well as secondary data from literature and internal company documentation. The SWOT analysis identified Kebon Vintage Cars' key strengths, namely its unique collection of rare classic cars, strategic location, and attractive educational facilities for visitors. However, the main weaknesses identified were limited digital promotion, reliance on international tourists, and a lack of revenue diversification. Opportunities that can be exploited include the increasing trend of thematic and educational tourism, as well as the large domestic market potential. Threats faced include intense competition with other thematic tourism destinations in Bali and changes in tourist behavior post-pandemic. Based on this analysis, recommended strategies include: (1) expanding digital marketing channels through platforms such as Instagram and TikTok; (2) diversifying revenue sources through venue rentals, merchandise sales, and hosting classic car restoration workshops; (3) developing human resource capacity to improve experience-based services and digital marketing; and (4) building strategic partnerships with automotive communities and educational institutions. The implementation of these strategies is expected to strengthen the competitiveness of Kebon Vintage Cars, expand the domestic market segment, and ensure business sustainability in the future.
