Abstract

The implementation of the Independent Curriculum in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) at YMIK Junior High School aims to strengthen the integration of religious values in students' daily lives. This study analyzes the methods applied to create relevant and contextual learning experiences. Through innovative learning approaches, such as group discussions, community-based projects, and the use of technology, students are invited to understand and apply Islamic values, such as honesty, tolerance, and social care. Extracurricular activities, such as recitation and social services, also play a role in instilling character and ethics based on religious teachings. In addition, collaboration with parents is an important factor in supporting this educational process. The results of the study show that the implementation of the Independent Curriculum at YMIK Junior High School not only improves students' religious understanding, but also develops positive attitudes and social skills that are useful in daily life. This study recommends sustainable strategies to improve the effectiveness of PAI teaching in other schools.

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to explore the principles of education in Plato's ideal state concept and its implications to leadership education in the contemporary era. This research uses a qualitative method based on literature search. The research found that Plato's ideal state is based on education and virtue, with the main goal of creating justice and happiness for all people. Plato formulated an ideal state led by a philosopher, who has the intellectual capacity and high morality to manage the state fairly. Plato strongly emphasized the importance of education in an ideal state, with education will make people moral, able to think critically and systematically. Plato viewed education as the main foundation for producing superior individuals, not only in terms of intellect, but also in terms of morality and ethics. His philosophical education aims to create individuals with wisdom (sophia), courage (andreia), self-control (sophrosyne), and justice (dikaiosyne). These four values are the main pillars in producing leaders who are wise and able to act in the interests of society fairly. In the contemporary context, this approach can be applied through an education system that emphasizes character development, critical thinking, and a deep understanding of ethical values.

Abstract

Management skills are needed to provide quality education. The abilities and knowledge needed by an educational manager to carry out management tasks and functions are known as management skills. This study aims to improve knowledge about the basic concepts of educational management. This study combines theory and practice about the concept of management that is very important in the world of education. In this paper, using a library approach (library research) using qualitative descriptive methods and data collection is carried out by reviewing and exploring a number of articles, books, documents, and other information that is relevant to the theme discussed. The results of the research from this journal are that every educational institution must have management and educational staff to carry out the education and management process. Therefore, it is very important to know how management and educational staff function so that educational institutions can run well and with quality.

Abstract

a history where Indonesia was visited by one of the world figures named Pope Francis who is the highest leader of the world's Catholic church. He came with the aim of voicing a message of unity between religious communities towards a better humanity and living in harmony in differences. Althousgh in addition, he wanted to meet with the Catholic community in Indonesia and build cooperation between his country, namely the Vatican and Indonesia. The common thread in this study is to see what forms of religious moderation emerged with the arrival of Pope Francis to Indonesia, where the majority of Indonesian society is filled with Muslims. This study uses a qualitative approach with the library research method, in which case the researcher utilizes information obtained from scientific works, books, and reliable sources. The results of this study show that: first, the arrival of Pope Francis was greeted with joy by the majority of Indonesian people, second, Pope Francis' mission is to voice people to live in harmony within the framework of religious differences, third, Pope Francis kissed the hand of the Grand Imam of the Istiqlal Mosque and the Grand Imam of the Istiqlal Mosque kissed Pope Francis' head, fourth, security guards through the Police and TNI during Pope Francis' activities in Indonesia

Abstract

This study aims to describe the application of the flipped learning model in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning and evaluate its effectiveness in increasing student involvement and independence. The method used is library research with a qualitative approach. Data were obtained from various literature sources, such as scientific journals, books, and relevant online articles, then analyzed descriptively. The results of the study indicate that the flipped learning model is able to change the learning pattern from teacher-centered to student-centered, where students study the material independently outside the classroom through video media, e-books, and other online content, then discuss it collaboratively in the classroom. This strategy increases active participation, understanding of concepts, and the use of technology in PAI learning. However, its effectiveness is highly dependent on technological readiness, teacher competence, and parental support. With good planning, this model can be a relevant learning alternative in the digital era.

Abstract

This research aims to understand the reality of gender inequality in the division of teacher work at SMPN 1 West Sumbawa, with a focus on the factors that influence gender inequality and the implications of gender construction in teachers' work at school. This research uses qualitative research methods by collecting data from various sources, such as books, journals and articles, to analyze gender gaps in school work. The research also uses an interview approach, namely collecting data from sources as the main source and various other sources such as books, journals and articles, as well as carrying out a data collection process to obtain valid data regarding gender gaps in school work. This study highlights the importance of gender equality in the division of work for teachers in schools by involving the community, educational institutions and high school officials to evaluate and contextualize the situation regarding gender inequality in the division of work for teachers in schools. There are two types of gender inequality identified: first, female teachers who are often placed in desk jobs or jobs that are classified as soft, second, female teachers who are often positioned in less strategic jobs with a smaller role and influence on schools so that policy is not a priority and only serves as an additional option or as a complement. These two problems are a fact that in the concept of division of labor, female teachers often experience injustice. [Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami realitas ketidaksetaraan gender dalam pembagian kerja guru di SMPN 1 Sumbawa Barat, dengan fokus pada faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi ketidaksetaraan gender dan implikasi konstruksi gender dalam pekerjaan guru di sekolah. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan mengumpulkan data dari berbagai sumber seperti buku dan artikel jurnal untuk menganalisis kesenjangan gender dalam pekerjaan sekolah. Penelitian juga menggunakan pendekatan wawancara, yaitu pengumpulan data dari narasumber sebagai sumber utama dan berbagai sumber lain seperti buku, jurnal, dan artikel, serta melakukan proses pengumpulan data untuk memperoleh data valid mengenai kesenjangan gender dalam pekerjaan sekolah. Studi ini menyoroti pentingnya kesetaraan gender dalam pembagian kerja guru di sekolah dengan melibatkan masyarakat, lembaga pendidikan, dan pejabat tinggi sekolah untuk mengevaluasi dan mengkontekstualisasikan situasi mengenai ketidaksetaraan gender dalam pembagian kerja guru di sekolah. Ada dua jenis ketidaksetaraan gender yang teridentifikasi: pertama, guru perempuan yang sering ditempatkan pada pekerjaan di balik meja atau pekerjaan yang tergolong lembut, kedua, guru perempuan yang sering di posisikan pada pekerjaan yang kurang strategis dengan peran dan pengaruh terhadap sekolah yang lebih kecil sehingga kebijakannya tidak menjadi prioritas dan hanya berkesan sebagai opsi tambahan atau sebagai pelengkap saja. Dua persoalan ini merupakan sebuah fakta bahwa dalam konsep pembagian kerjanya guru perempuan sering mendapat ketidakadilan.]

Abstract

This article explores the relationship between prosocial behavior and psychological well-being in the context of volunteers in Surabaya. Although volunteer activities provide meaning and satisfaction, many volunteers experience psychological pressure due to a lack of support and appreciation. This is closely related to Carol Ryff’s concept of psychological well-being, which emphasizes a meaningful life and personal growth (eudaimonia). The study aims to analyze the relationship between prosocial behavior and psychological well-being among Gesit volunteers under the supervision of kitabisa.com, using a quantitative research method. Participants aged 20–40 were selected based on specific criteria, and psychological well-being was measured using an instrument based on Ryff’s six dimensions. The results of the study indicate that the higher an individual’s prosocial behavior, the higher their level of psychological well-being. Acts of helping others voluntarily and selflessly not only benefit the recipients but also serve as a source of psychological well-being for the helpers themselves. In the context of volunteering, altruistic motivation and empathy strengthen social relationships, give life meaning, and support personal development—three core dimensions of Carol Ryff’s theory of psychological well-being. These findings align with previous theories that emphasize the reflective and therapeutic nature of prosocial behavior, providing individuals with a sense of value and connection with others. Therefore, consistent engagement in prosocial behavior can serve as a pathway to achieving optimal psychological well-being and is relevant both academically and practically in designing sustainable volunteer development programs.

Abstract

Marriage is an essential institution in Islam, serving not only as an act of worship but also as a social and legal framework for safeguarding lineage, dignity, and family welfare. In the context of modern nation-states, marriage is also regulated under family law to ensure legal certainty and the protection of family members’ rights. This study aims to analyze the concept of marriage in Islam and its relevance to contemporary family law regulations. The method employed is normative qualitative research with a comparative legal approach, examining Islamic legal texts alongside positive regulations in Indonesia and other Muslim-majority countries such as Egypt and Malaysia. The findings reveal that Islam regards marriage as a sacred contract (akad) that is legally valid when its essential pillars and conditions are fulfilled, while modern regulations reinforce its legality by stipulating administrative requirements, minimum marriageable age, official registration, restricted polygamy permits, and specific protections for women and children. Thus, marriage in Islam provides the normative foundation, whereas modern family law regulations strengthen administrative and legal safeguards. This study concludes that harmonization between the principles of Islamic law and contemporary family law regulations is necessary so that marriage is not only religiously valid but also possesses clear legal force capable of addressing social challenges in the modern era. Abstrak: Pernikahan merupakan institusi penting dalam Islam yang tidak hanya bernilai ibadah, tetapi juga memiliki dimensi sosial dan hukum dalam menjaga keturunan, kehormatan, serta kesejahteraan keluarga. Dalam konteks negara modern, pernikahan juga menjadi bagian dari hukum keluarga yang diatur secara formal untuk menjamin kepastian hukum dan perlindungan terhadap hak-hak anggota keluarga. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis konsep pernikahan dalam Islam serta relevansinya dengan regulasi hukum keluarga kontemporer. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif normatif dengan pendekatan perbandingan hukum, yang menelaah teks-teks hukum Islam serta regulasi positif, baik di Indonesia maupun di negara Muslim lain seperti Mesir dan Malaysia. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Islam menempatkan pernikahan sebagai akad suci yang sah secara syar‘i apabila memenuhi syarat dan rukun nikah, sedangkan regulasi modern berfungsi memperkuat legalitas dengan menetapkan syarat administratif, batas usia minimal perkawinan, pencatatan resmi, izin poligami terbatas, serta perlindungan khusus bagi perempuan dan anak. Dengan demikian, pernikahan dalam Islam menjadi fondasi normatif, sementara regulasi hukum keluarga modern memperkokoh perlindungan administratif dan hukum. Kesimpulan penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa diperlukan harmonisasi antara prinsip syariat Islam dan regulasi hukum keluarga kontemporer, agar pernikahan tidak hanya sah secara agama, tetapi juga memiliki kekuatan hukum yang jelas dan mampu menjawab tantangan sosial di era modern.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the increasing use of racing exhausts on motorcycles in Central Aceh Regency, which do not comply with safety and environmental standards. Such modifications not only cause noise disturbances but also violate legal provisions stipulated in Law Number 22 of 2009 on Road Traffic and Transportation, Article 48 Paragraph (3), and the Minister of Environment Regulation Number 07 of 2009 concerning Noise Limits for Motor Vehicles. The purpose of this study is to examine the law enforcement carried out by the Central Aceh Police against modified motorcycles, to identify the obstacles faced in the enforcement process, and to analyze the efforts made to overcome these challenges. The study applies an empirical juridical method with a case study approach, using both primary and secondary data, analyzed qualitatively based on empirical findings in the field. The results indicate that law enforcement encounters both internal and external obstacles. Internal obstacles are related to the effectiveness of the police in supervising and enforcing the law against vehicle modifications. External obstacles are influenced by social factors, particularly the growing trend of vehicle modifications shaped by external cultural influences. The internal efforts undertaken include strengthening the role of the police and enhancing public legal awareness. Meanwhile, external efforts focus on limiting the impact of modification trends from outside the region to prevent their spread within the community. This study recommends that the people of Central Aceh avoid using modified vehicles, and that the police increase patrol frequency and implement strict sanctions, including fines, to reduce such violations.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum in Indonesian education through a literature review approach. The Merdeka Curriculum is the latest educational policy that emphasizes competency-based learning, differentiation, and strengthening the profile of Pancasila students. The research method used is a literature study by reviewing scientific articles, books, regulations, and recent research reports published between 2020 and 2025. The results of the study indicate that the Merdeka Curriculum has great potential in improving the quality of learning through flexible planning, teacher empowerment, and character development of students. However, its implementation still faces various challenges, such as the readiness of educators, limitations of facilities, and quality disparities among educational units. This article contributes to providing a comprehensive overview of the dynamics of implementing the Merdeka Curriculum while also offering recommendations for strengthening teacher capacity, equalizing facilities, and enhancing monitoring and evaluation so that this policy can be effectively implemented. Thus, this literature review is expected to serve as a reference for academics, education practitioners, and policymakers in formulating more optimal implementation strategies. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka dalam pendidikan Indonesia melalui pendekatan kajian literatur. Kurikulum Merdeka merupakan kebijakan pendidikan terbaru yang menekankan pembelajaran berbasis kompetensi, diferensiasi, dan penguatan profil Pelajar Pancasila. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi literatur dengan menelaah artikel ilmiah, buku, regulasi, serta laporan penelitian terkini yang terbit antara tahun 2020–2025. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa Kurikulum Merdeka memiliki potensi besar dalam meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran melalui fleksibilitas perencanaan, pemberdayaan guru, serta pengembangan karakter siswa. Namun demikian, implementasinya masih menghadapi berbagai tantangan, seperti kesiapan tenaga pendidik, keterbatasan sarana prasarana, serta kesenjangan kualitas antar satuan pendidikan. Artikel ini berkontribusi dalam memberikan gambaran komprehensif mengenai dinamika pelaksanaan Kurikulum Merdeka sekaligus menawarkan rekomendasi penguatan kapasitas guru, pemerataan fasilitas, dan penguatan monitoring serta evaluasi agar kebijakan ini dapat berjalan efektif. Dengan demikian, kajian literatur ini diharapkan dapat menjadi rujukan bagi akademisi, praktisi pendidikan, dan pembuat kebijakan dalam merumuskan strategi implementasi yang lebih optimal.
