Abstract

This study aims to analyze instructional media in Islamic Religious Education (IRE), focusing on its definition, functions, principles, and classification. A library research approach was employed to gather relevant literature and examine various types of media used in IRE. The findings indicate that instructional media in IRE serves not only as a technical aid but also as a tool for da’wah (Islamic preaching) and the transmission of values. The media helps accommodate diverse learning styles, particularly visual learning, through interactive formats. Key functions include capturing attention, increasing interest, facilitating understanding, and aiding students with learning difficulties. The effective use of media is guided by principles such as simplicity, clarity, and alignment with students' needs. Media utilization is also influenced by philosophical, psychological, empirical, and technological aspects. The study classifies media into three categories: audio, visual, and audiovisual, and emphasizes the need for innovative, value-based development to meet the demands of contemporary learners.

Abstract

Jodipan Colorful Village (KWJ) is one of the community-based tourism destinations managed by the Malang City Government through cross-sectoral collaboration. This tourist destination serves as an interesting example of how collaboration among various actors can play a role in transforming residential areas into city tourism icons. This article aims to examine the forms, dynamics, and effectiveness of inter-actor collaboration in the management of KWJ, focusing on the roles of the Malang City Office of Youth, Sports, and Tourism, the Jodipan Urban Village Tourism Awareness Group (Pokdarwis), as well as the involvement of local communities and private sector partners. This research employs a descriptive qualitative method through a case study approach, using data collection techniques such as in-depth interviews, field observations, and policy document reviews. The study analyzes the collaborative tourism management using the analytical framework of Governance Network Theory proposed by Klijn and Koppenjan (2012). The results show that the collaboration among actors in KWJ has been formed in a collaborative yet informal manner, with an imbalanced distribution of roles, as local communities and residents have predominantly been the main driving force in managing the tourism area.

This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study method on allegations of corruption in the procurement of crude oil. Data were collected through analysis of media documents, journals, laws and regulations, and online forms for students who are actively studying Pancasila. The results of the study show that corrupt practices not only harm the state financially, but also injure the nation's ideological values, especially the principle of social justice. Abstract

Effective character education for elementary school children focuses on intrinsic motivation rather than external fear. The phenomenon of "Dediphobia", which is a child's fear of external figures due to threatening stories, has become an important case study of the negative effects of extrinsic motivation that causes superficial obedience and can hinder psychological development. This study looks at the phenomenon of Dediphobia in the management of 1st grade elementary school, specifically in Islamic Religious Education (PAI), and how it impacts student discipline and psychological well-being. The study found that intrinsic motivation—based on autonomy, competence, and social connectedness—was far superior. This was achieved through the application of descriptive qualitative methodology with literature study. These results are in line with the principles of PAI which emphasize compassion, role models, and sincerity rather than violence. This shows how important it is to use a humanistic and safe classroom management approach, which encourages teachers and parents to be role models who instill values through real knowledge and experience. The goal is to produce children who are disciplined, independent, and have noble character throughout life. Keywords: Intrinsic Motivation, Dediphobia, Islamic Religious Education, Classroom Management, Children's Character.

Abstract

Tourism development in Batu City has shown rapid growth over the past decade, largely driven by private investment from the Jatim Park Group (JTPG). This study aims to analyze the impact of JTPG’s dominance in the tourism sector and the patterns of collaboration within Batu City's tourism governance network, particularly in the context of private corporate dominance. Employing a qualitative approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and analysis of government documents and private publications. The findings reveal that JTPG's dominant role influences not only destination management but also spatial planning policies and the distribution of local economic benefits. Collaboration between the government, communities, and businesses tends to be symbolic and imbalanced, with limited facilitation from the government as a collaborative leader. These findings highlight the need to strengthen the institutional capacity of the government and reposition the role of the community to ensure a more inclusive and sustainable tourism development. In conclusion, JTPG’s dominance creates a form of structural dependency that threatens actor diversity in tourism governance and undermines regional autonomy.

Abstract

Child violence is a persistent and escalating issue across various regions of Indonesia, with physical, verbal, and psychological abuse inflicting long-term negative impacts on children's development. In this challenging context, Islamic boarding schools (pondok pesantren), as religious-based educational institutions, hold significant potential as both preventive and curative solutions to this societal problem. This research explores the pivotal role of pondok pesantren in fostering strong spiritual, emotional, and social character in children, alongside the proactive efforts these institutions undertake to cultivate a safe and nurturing environment. Employing a qualitative research methodology with a case study approach across several pondok pesantren in East Java, the findings reveal several key factors. Intensive instruction in religious values, structured discipline, and close-knit relationships among students, teachers, and caregivers are instrumental in preventing violence and promoting positive character development in children. Consequently, pondok pesantren emerge as a viable alternative educational model that can significantly contribute to the reduction of child violence, particularly within non-formal education settings rooted in strong values.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the feasibility assessment of gold pawn financing products and the implementation of Sharia-based Good Corporate Governance (GCG) at Bank Syariah Indonesia, KCP Surabaya Manukan. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis involved reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that the bank applies three feasibility indicators: character, capacity, and collateral (assessed through physical testing, chemical testing, and specific gravity testing), while capital and condition of economy are not applied. The implementation of Sharia-based GCG covers transparency, accountability in accordance with relevant laws and DSN-MUI fatwas, and fairness in customer service. However, accountability and professionalism aspects remain suboptimal due to the lack of specialized gold pawn training for staff, despite formal appointment. This condition may pose operational risks to the bank.
