Abstract

Abstract. This study aims to determine the types of mosses found in the Bantimurung National Park Tourism Area, especially on the riverbank sites to the entrance of Batu Caves. This research was conducted in June-August 2018. Exploration and collection of specimens was carried out using the roaming method. The specimens obtained were identified using a plant identification book. The results of this study indicate that there are five species of mosses found in the Bantimurung National Park Tourism Area, namely: Thuidium sp., Polytricum Commune, Aulacomnium palustre, Orthotrichum sp., And Ectropothecium sp. The five species come from different families. Keywords: moss, identification, bantimurung national park.

Abstract

. Penelitian ini bertujuan  untuk mengetahui dampak  pemeliharaan  yang intensif dan pemberian pakan hijauan berkualitas terhadap performans   kambing Marica.  Penelitian menggunakan  9 ekor kambing betina  yang sedang tumbuh  dirancang  menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) 3 perlakuan dengan 3 ekor ternak sebagai ulangan.  Perlakuan yang diterapkan adalah jenis hijauan yang diberikan (rumput lapang  (RL), rumput unggul (RU) dan rumput unggul + leguminosa (RU+L)).  Hasil penelitian  menunjukkan bahwa  pertambahan bobot badan  untuk masing perlakuan adalah: 36.90, 58.69  dan 48.10 g/ekor/hari, konsumsi pakan: 1290.65, 1818.94, dan 1870.89 g/ekor/hari, dan  efisiensi penggunaan pakan  adalah 2.84, 3.21 dan 2.50. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan  bahwa  kambing Marica  tidak memberikan respon produktivitas yang positif terhadap pemberian  pakan hiajuan berkualitas  dan sistem pemeliharaan intensif.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini yakni untuk mengetahui komponen senyawa bioaktif , aktivitas anti mikroba dan efek antidiabetik dari daun tanaman Rhizopora mucronata. Sampel berupa daun bakau diproleh dari kawasan pesisir pantai Barru. Daun Rhizopora mucronata diekstraksi dengan cara maserasi menggunakan etanol 96% selama 3 × 24 jam. Ekstrak kemudian diuji secara fitokimia, uji anti mikroba dan uji antidiabetik. Dari hasil uji fitokimia ekstrak daun Rhizopora mucronata positif mengandung gugus fenolik. Sedangkan berdasarkan hasil uji antimikroba terhadap bakteri uji yaitu Staphylococcus aureus dan Escherichia coli, ekstrak daun Rhizopora mucronata menunjukkan tidak adanya aktifitas antimikroba terhadap jenis mikroba yang diujikan. Sedangkan berdasarkan uji antidiabetik ekstrak etanol daun Rhizopora mucronata dapat menurunkan kadar glukosa darah mencit yang mengalami hiperglikemia setelah diinduksi dengan aloksan. Efek antidiabetik yang paling tinggi ditunjukkan oleh pemberian ekstrak etanol R.mucronata dosis 625 mg/kgBB.Kata kunci: Rhizopora mucronata, Fitokimia, Staphyllococcus aureus, Eischerichia coli, Antidiabetik, dan Antimikroba

Abstract

This research was a Classroom Action Research which intended to know  whether  the application of Structural   Think Pair Share (TPS) approach could improve the activitity and study result of the students of X-C  at SMA Negeri 1 Tellu Limpoe Kabupaten Sidenreng Rappang. The subjects of the research were 38 students of SMA Negeri 1 Tellu Limpoe Kabupaten Sidenreng Rappang  which consist of 24 female  and 14 male. The outcomes showed that the application of Structural Think Pair Approach was able to improve  the activity and the study result of tha students. The achievement average of the students was 78,72% with 94,73% as the complete score. Besides ,  there was also improvement to 68,6% of the students activity.

Abstract

Fantail goldfish (Carassius auratus) was interested in the fans fish.The cultivation of fantail goldfish needs to vigilance against the parasite, especially Ectoparasite. Ectoparasite that attacks gills can cause death acute. This research attempts to compare structure histology damage gills of fantail goldfish (Carassius auratus) that was attacked by Argulus sp. seen from the time of infection and to see how long infection of Argulus sp. which causes damage on the gills. The research started from March-April 2016 at Department of Cangkringan Fisheries, Sleman and veterinary medicine laboratory of UGM. The research had been used of the artificial infection. The collection of the fish sample start from zero days (not infected), 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. the parameter that observed is the changes of macroscopic which includes clinical symptoms, the change of morphological body of the fish and gills change. In addition, the change of structure gills histology had to compare the level of damage to the making of prepared. The research result showed the change of macroscopic as symptoms clinical of the fish like passive swimming, appetite down and always rubbed the body at the aquarium. The change of morphological body of the fish as foul fins, injury of the skin and the growing of secondary parasite on the skin fish. As macroscopic gills also rose-colored blackish. The change of structure gills histology which infected by Argulus sp. is hyperplasia, congestion, and necrosis. On the first day of hyperplasia and necrosis, day 2 and 3 experienced hyperplasias, congestion, and necrosis with the highest severity on day 3. Environmental factors such as DO, pH, and temperature were unchanged for 3 days of trial and had no effect on Argulus sp. infection in the gills of the goldfish. Abstract

Abstract. The research purpose to determine the antimicrobial activity of the extract pectin from fruit peel kepok banana (Musa paradisiaca formatypica). The extraction of pectin from banana peel kepok using conventional methods with 0.5 N hydrochloric acid solvent with factors consisting of pH (1.5 and 2.5) temperature (600C, 800C, 100 0C) and time (60, 90 and 120 minutes). This research was an experimental study using a completely randomized design (RAL) with factorial 2x3x3 3 times restating. The results yield a significant pectin is pH 2.5; temperature 1000C; and 120 minutes as much as 23.9%. The main factors were statistically significant influence on the results of pectin that is the interaction between pH and temperature, the interaction between temperature and time of extraction, and the interaction of pH, temperature, and time of extraction. Then do the phytochemical screening, to determine the content of secondary metabolites contained in the extract pectin from banana peel kepok. Test of antimicrobial activity using the paper disk. The microbes used in this research were Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus and Candida albicans. Antimicrobial activity test results were analyzed by analysis of variance (ANOVA) and Tukey test then with the average difference (α = 0.05). Results of phytochemical screening rind extract pectin from kepok banana (Musa paradisiaca formatypica) contains flavonoids and saponins. The results of the antimicrobial activity of the extract pectin from banana peel kepok showed antimicrobial activity on Escherichia coli and the fungus Candida albicans then Staphylococcus aureus there does not showed antimicrobial activity because there was no blocked zone on paper disk area. Abstract

Kalus yang dapat berkembang menjadi embrio somatik adalah kalus yang bersifat embriogenik. Kalus embriogenik dapat diinduksi dari suatu eksplan menggunakan senyawa-senyawa stressor atau perlakuan yang memberi cekaman. Penelitian ini bertujuan menginduksi kalus embriogenik pada wortel (Daucus carota L) menggunakan 2,4-D. Penelitian ini dilakukan dalam 2 tahap yaitu; (1) Tahap perkecambahan  in-vitro, menggunakan medium ¼ MS; (2) Tahap induksi dan pemeliharaan kalus, menggunakan medium MS + 2,4-D 2 mg/L. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan biji wortel dapat berkecambah dengan baik pada medium ¼ MS dengan rata-rata persentase perkecambahan mencapai 98 % dan panjang hipokotil 3,84 cm. Efisiensi pembentukan kalus mencapai 90.83 %, Warna kalus umumnya putih bening atau putih kekuningan dengan tekstur friable atau remah. Ciri fisik ini merupakan ciri umum kalus yang bersifat embriogenik, yakni kalus yang dapat berkembang menjadi embrio somatik jika di sub kultur pada medium baru yang sesuai

Abstract

Identification of Bryophytes (Mosses) plant species have been done. This research was based on morphological characters of mosses at tour location Takapala Waterfal in Malino. The result shows that there are twelve species of Bryophytes, from two classis (Hepaticae and Musci). Hepaticae classis consist of three species, and Musci classis consist of nine species.   Keywords: identification, bryophytes

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan perangkat perkuliahan berupa Rencana Pelaksanaan Perkuliahan berorientasi (RPP-PBL) memberdayakan keterampilan berpikir kritis mahasiswa FMIPA UNM. Adapun target yang diharapkan adalah membiasakan mahasiswa memiliki keterampilan keterampilan berpikir kritis baik selama menempuh kuliah pada saat pelaksaaan pekuliahan.. Prosedur yang digunakan pada penelitian ini mengikuti tahapan model desain pembelajaran (instructional design) 4 D Thiagarajan. Instrument pengumpulan data terdiri dari lembar validasi perangkat perkuliahan RPP-PBL. Sistematika RPP-PBL yang dikembangkan terdiri atas komponen Identitas, Standar Kompetensi, Kompetensi Dasar, Materi Perkuliahan, Strategi Perkuliahan, Langkah-langkah Perkuliahan, Sumber Belajar dan Media, Evaluasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa seluruh komponen dalam RPP-PBL memiliki nilai rata-rata ≥ 3 dengan revisi pada bagian-bagian tertetntu. Dengan demikian, disimpulkan bahwa RPP-PBL yang dikembangkan termasuk kategori baik sehingga layak dgunakan sebagai pedoman dalam perkuliahan Biologi Dasar.

Abstract

The diversification limitation of exploiting tempe as an alternative nugget raw materials, substitution of meat and fish, and also to optimalize the very abundance resource, so it is necessary to do the right processing to the alternative food resource, which meant to give an additional point. Produce a liked product, also the adjustment of technology, and the cost that reached by the society.          The aim of this reseach is to know the kind of glue material which can produce nugget tempe with the best chemical and organoleptic propertics. This research consit of 4 treatment; A1 (tempe nugget from bread powder), A2 (tempe nugget from tapioca), A3 (tempe nugget from sagu), A4 (tempe nugget maizena powder). Water convcentration analyse using oven method. Product was tested by organoleptic test (taste, smell, and tecsture).          The result on water concentration analyse, that the smallest water concentration shown by A2  about 161,55% between from treatment A1 abaout 191,75%, A3 abaout 180,02% and A4 182, 45%. The result on organoleptic the teste of A1 product is the most like (75 %) between A2, A3 and A4 treatment. The smell of A2, A3 and A4 is the must like (67 %). And the best tecsture is all treatment.The result of this research is expected to give benefit in supporting the effort saking the alternative nugget glue material by using tempe which owning a high nutrition value. This research it is expected to find a kind if nugget tempe with the good glue, good taste and high nutrition value
