Abstract

Abstract. This research aimed to note the abundance and diversity of Gastropode on natural mangrove forest at Kuri beach, Nisombalia village-Maros regency. This research conducted by line transect method which was arallel to coastline. The location of sampling had been taken on four stations. Each station comprises of 3 plots sized 1 x 1 metre. The obtained species were identified based on morphological characteristic. The index of diversity and abundance were analyzed with Simpson formula. The result of this study revealed 18 species of 8 families gained from 418 species of Gastropode, which were comprise of Telescopium telescopium, Cerithidea djadjaransis, Tylomeliana toradjarum, Cerithidea cingulata, Littorina scabra, Terebralia sulcata, Cassais semigranosa, Rhinclavis vertagus, Hemifusus ternatarus, Pseudovertagus aluco, Cerithium litteratum, Sphaerassiminea miniata, Cassidula aurisfelis, Cypraea tigris, Strombus luhuanus, Cancellaria scalata. Index of dominance (D) for each station respectively 39, 0.15, 0,22 and 0.27. While the index of diversity (D’) were respectively gained 0.61, 0.85, 0.78 and 0.73. The highest presentation of abundance was Littorina scabra (16 %) while the lowest presentation (0.2 %) obtained by Murex trapa, Cypraea tigris, Tylomeliana toradjarum and Hemifusus ternatanus.Keywords: Gastropode, Mangrove, Index of Diversity, Index of Abundance.

Abstract

This quasy-experimental research aims to discover The Effect of Aplication of cooperative learning models Group Investigation (GI) type in regards to activity and result of the  students’ studying at SMA Negeri 1 Bajeng at ecosystem concept. The research hypothesis is that the aplication of cooperative learning model Group Investigation (GI) type gives sicnificant effect to the activity and result of the students’ studying in class X SMAN 1 Bajeng at ecosystem concept. The sample in this research is the students of class X5 at SMA negeri 1 Bajeng as experimental class that included 33 students and the students of class X1 as control class that included 33 students. This research is conducted during 4 meetings. The result of descriptive statistic analysis shows that the average score of experiment class is 77,87 and control class is 70,98. The average score of the experimental class in learning activity is 64,24 and control class is 54,31. The result of inferential analysis techniques for the result of learning shows sig (2-tailed) 0,00 < α (0,05), and  for learning activity show sig (2-tailed) 0,26 < α (0,05), then H0 is rejected and H1 is received. The result of correlation analysis techniques in the experimental class is 0,754 and cotrol class is 0,628, then there were the tight correlation between the result of learning and learning activity. From the research result, it can be concluded that there were the Effect of aplication cooperative learning models Group Investigation (GI) type in regards to acvtivity and result of students’ studying, and there were tight correlation between  the result of students’ studing and learning activity of students at SMA Negeri 1 Bajeng at ecosystem concept.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif yang bertujuan untuk mendapatkan gambaran tentang motivasi berprestasi siswa untuk belajar Biologi di Kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 8 Makassar. Sample penelitian ini adalah siswa Kelas XI IPA 3 dan  XI IPA 4 SMA 8 Makassar semester genap tahun ajaran 2011/2012 yang berjumlah 80 orang yang diperoleh dengan menggunakan teknik simple random sampling. Data yang diperoleh dari instrument penelitian merupakan angket model rating scale dengan rentang nilai 1-5 untuk mengukur nilai motivasi berprestasi siswa. Data yang telah diperoleh selanjutnya dianalisis dengan menggunakan teknik analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata nilai motivasi berprestasi siswa untuk belajar biologi sebesar 124.44 (tinggi) berdasarkan skala kategori motivasi berprestasi.

Abstract

This research aimed at (1) describing the quality of the population’s well water at Borikamase Village of Maros Baru district, Maros regency along Maros river viewed from microbiological aspect; (2) knowing whether the population’s well water along Maros river can properly be consumed viewed from mikrobiological aspect.  This reseacrh was a descriptive-qualitative research, that is, a research carried out investigate whether the population’s well water contains microbes so that it can be determined whether or not it can be consumed properly or is in accord with the regulation as stated in health minister’s Decision No. 416/MENKES/PER/IX/1990 of the republic of Indonesia. The population of this research consisted of all population’s wells along the river at Borikamase Village. The samples were taken be using stratified random sampling by dividing to sub-areas, each of which consisted of seven wells. The data were collected by using the results of laboratory analysis of the microbes contained in the well water and then compared it wich the regulation as stated in Health Minister’s Decisions No. 416/MENKES/PER/IX/1990. The results of analysis of laboratory Depkes indicate thet the mean of resident well contain 1295 cell Coliform and 960 cell Escherichia coli per 100 ml irrigate the sample of this means exceeding rule specified by regulation of Menkes RI. No. 416/MENKES/PER/IX/1990 of concerning clean water quality conditions manely 50 and 10 cell Coliform to irrigate non pipe and irrigate the pipe. So that the water cannot be properly consumed. Therefore, it is suggested that the results of this research be the input to the government officials as policy makers, and that the community in general make them as reading material and reference.   Keywords: quality of well water, mikrobiological

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah Untuk mengetahui hubungan kecerdasan emosional dan kedisiplinan belajar secara bersama-sama terhadap hasil belajar biologi siswa SMA Negeri di Kota Makassar. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian ”ex-post facto” dan bersifat ”korelasional”. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada 3 SMA Negeri yang ada di Kota Makassar tahun ajaran 2010/2011 dengan jumlah 3669 orang. Teknik pengambilan sampel adalah purposive cluster random sampling. Data variabel kecerdasan emosional dan kedisiplinan belajar diperoleh dengan menggunakan instrumen berupa kuesioner sedangkan nilai semester ganjil tahun ajaran 2010/2011 diperoleh dengan menggunakan dokumentasi. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis secara kuantitatif. Hasil pengujian menyimpulkan bahwa kecerdasan emosional dan kedisiplinan belajar secara bersama-sama berhubungan positif terhadap hasil belajar biologi siswa SMA Negeri di Kota Makassar. Hal ini ditunjukkan dengan hasil analisis variansi (uji F) diperoleh nilai Fhitung sebesar 188,538 lebih besar dari F tabel pada α = 0,05 yaitu 3,07. Tingkat hubungan kecerdasan emosional dan kedisiplinan belajar secara bersama-sama terhadap hasil belajar biologi siswa SMA Negeri di Kota Makassar sebesar 65,80%. Hal tersebut disebabkan karena kondisi aktual masing-masing variabel (variabel bebas) menunjukkan saling keterkaitan dan memberi andil terhadap hasil belajar (variabel terikat).

Abstract

Penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif yang merupakan penelitian survei yang menggambarkan tentang objek yang diteliti yakni jenis perifiton yang ada ditambak ikan nila (Oreochromis niloticus) di kabupaten pangkep serta mengukur parameter kualitas air meliputi parameter fisika-kimia. Fisika yakni suhu, salinitas, dan kekeruhan. Kimia yakni pH dan amonia. Dalam keadaan seimbang perifiton yang tumbuh akan hidup dengan baik. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada 2 tambak dengan cara meletakkan substrat yakni kaca preparat selama 7 hari pada tambak setelah itu dilakukan identifikasi jenis perifiton di laboratorium mikrobiologi FMIPA UNM dengan menggunakan mikroskop optilab. Kemudian mengidentifikasinya dengan mencocokkan dengan buku identifikasi. Jenis-jenis perifiton yang ditemukan pada tambak ikan nila (Oreochromis niloticus) di kabupaten pangkep yakni Amaphora Asterionella, Navicula, Nitzchia, Closterium, Mikrospora, Mougeotia, Rhizoclonium, Zignema, Tribonema.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan soal interaktif berbasis ICT terhadap hasil belajar biologi siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Makassar pada konsep struktur dan fungsi organ tumbuhan. Jenis penelitian ini adalah eksperimen semu (quasi experiment). Penelitian ini mengambil dua kelas sebagai sampel penelitian yaitu kelas VIII3 sebagai kelas eksperimen yang berjumlah 40 orang yang diajar dengan menggunakan soal interaktif berbasis ICT dan kelas VIII4 sebagai kelas kontrol yang berjumlah 40 orang yang diajar dengan tanpa menggunakan soal interaktif berbasis ICT. Untuk mendapatkan data, maka digunakan tes hasil belajar sebagai instrument penelitian, yakni berupa pilihan ganda. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif yaitu untuk mengetahui skor dan pengkategorian hasil belajar siswa serta secara inferensial dengan uji-T. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai hasi belajar siswa yang diajar dengan menggunakan soal interaktif berbasis ICT dikategorikan baik dengan nilai rata-rata 69,05. Sedangkan nilai hasil belajar siswa yang diajarkan tanpa menggunakan soal interaktif berbasis ICT cukup dengan nilai rata-rata 64,25. Dari hasil pengujian hipotesis yang menggunakan Uji-T diperoleh nilai signifikan sig (2-tailed) 0,027 ≤ α (0,05) maka hipotesis H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima. Dengan demikian dapat dikatakan bahwa ada perbedaan hasil belajar antara siswa yang diajar dengan menggunakan soal interaktif berbasis ICT dengan yang tidak menggunakan soal interaktif berbasis ICT pada siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Makassar pada konsep struktur dan fungsi organ tumbuhan.  Kata kunci: Soal Interaktif Berbasis ICT, dan Hasil Belajar Biologi.

Abstract

This  was  a  quasy experiment involving control group and experiment  one  in which the subject was the students of class XI of  SMA Negeri 3 Makassar in the school year of 2008/2009. The aim of the research were  to  knowledge  the  effect  of  the  learning  method  in  which  the  students  were  given  assignments  and recitation and to compare the study results of the students who were given the assignment and recitation with those who were not. It was done by using  Posttest-Only Control Design.  The number of the subject was 81 which  was  chosen  by  cluster  random  sampling  from  365  students.  It  was  then  divided  into  two  groups: experiment group (41 subjects) and control group (40 subjects). The study results of the students in Biology Subject were analyzed by using descriptive statistic and inferensial one. It was shown that  the mean of the study results of the students who were given assignment and recitation was higher than of those who were not (t  2,846 > 0,716  with α = 0,05).  In conclusion, taking assignment and recitation in the learning process has a positive influence significantly to the study results of the students.

Abstract

Abstract. Indonesia has a high diversity of marine life, including gastropods. The distribution of gastropods varies in various locations at sea such as at the location of seaweed cultivation in Suppa Regency. These types of gastropods have not been identified even though the public knows the benefits of this organism. Therefore, efforts are needed to inventory these types of gastropods. The purpose of this study was to determine Gastropods living together in seaweed aquaculture locations (Eucheuma sp) in Suppa District. This research uses free roaming techniques along the seaweed cultivation location. The population is all types of gastropods that live together in seaweed farming locations. Samples are types of gastropods found at seaweed farming locations. Samples of abiotic and biotic factors along seaweed farming locations are also recorded as supporting inventory data. Gastropods were found there were 9 (nine) types that came from 8 (eight) genera, 5 (five) families. There are 3 species found in all sampling points, namely Cerithidea cingulata, Terebralia sulcata, and Terebralia palustris. Species found in certain locations and not found in other locations are Telecospium telecospium, Faunus ater, Rhinoclavis vertagus, Strombus microurceus, Nerita insculpta, and Monodonta labio. The suggestion of this research is to periodically observe the diversity of gastropod species in seaweed cultivation locations to determine patterns of interaction between organisms and the environment that occur seaweed cultivation locations.Keywords: gastropods, seaweed, pinrang district

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan potensi pembelajaran berpola Pemberdayaan Berpikir Melalui Pertanyaan (PBMP) dipadu Think Pair Share (TPS) dan strategi konvensional dalam memberdayakan keterampilan metakognisi siswa. Penelitian ini tergolong quasi experiment, dilaksanakan di kelas VI pada dua SD yang tergolong sekolah multietnis di Kota Ternate tahun ajaran 2011/2012. Pengukuran keterampilan metakognisi menggunakan rubrik metakognisi yang mengacu kepada Corebima. Analisis data untuk menguji hipotesis dilakukan dengan Anakova dalam program SPSS 16.0.   Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran berpola PBMP dipadu TPS lebih berpotensi meningkatkan keterampilan metakognisi siswa dibanding strategi konvensional. Tidak ada pengaruh etnis terhadap keterampilan metakognisi, namun hasil uji LSD menunjukkan adanya perbedaan keterampilan metakognisi siswa antara etnis.
